A friend of Jennifer Hudson has confirmed that the Dreamgirls star is pregnant, it has emerged.
Singer-actress Felicia Fields told the Chicago Tribune that Hudson had a baby shower on Saturday at a relative's home.
Fields said: "It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had."
She added that Hudson and fiancé David Otunga do not know the gender of their baby and revealed that they received "more yellow" gifts than pink or blue.
In April, the former American Idol contestant denied that she was pregnant when quizzed by a celebrity website.

Entertainer Danny LaRue has died at his home at the age of 81, reports say.
LaRue's spokesperson told the PA News Agency, the star had died following a short illness.
He made a career out of his drag act, although he disliked being called a drag artist, preferring the term "comic in a frock".
He made few appearances on television, but played a leading role in keeping the traditions of music hall and pantomime alive.

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson is not giving up on winning over the affections of fellow cast member Kristen Stewart. The Enquirer reported that the pair were seen getting cosy leaving a bar in Canada. Their source, an 18- year-old photography student, said, ‘They looked very happy together, and there was a lot of smiling. I saw them kissing after they got in the cab.’

Eddie Cibrian's wife, Brandi Glanville, has accused LeAnn Rimes of being a "stalker" in Us Magazine saying ""She refuses to leave us alone -- it is shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance."
LeAnn Rimes' spokesperson responded to Glanville's claims by telling People "These comments are incredibly defamatory. While there are always two sides to every story, LeAnn continues to remain above the fray and chooses not to play this out in the press."

David Carradine was found dead in Thailand's capital city .The 72-year-old Kill Bill and Kung Fu star was in Thailand filming his latest film Stretch, according to his personal manager Chuck Binder.
Mr Binder told the BBC the news was "shocking", adding: "He was full of life, always wanting to work... a great person."
Carradine is perhaps still best known for his role as a Shaolin priest travelling the American frontier West in Kung Fu, which was shown on TV from 1972-75.
He said recently: "I'm too old for the parts I did 35 years ago. But instead, what I get now with this nice little pile of quality movies that are all waiting to be released, is this assortment of really tough old men."
I was so shocked when I read that. I've only seen him in the Kill Bill films but he was fantastic.
I remember him from the Kung-fu Grasshopper. Didn't realise he was in his 70's. RIP. David.
Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheridge have announced the birth of their new son.
The singer confirmed that he had become a father for the fifth time at a performance in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Access Hollywood reports.
"I just had a baby. Four days ago - my son Cassius," Brown said.
The 40-year-old musician also has 16-year-old daughter Bobbi from his previous marriage to Whitney Houston, as well as three other children - Landon, 23, LaPrincia, 19, and 17-year-old Bobby Brown Jr. - all from previous relationships.
