After quite a few members showed interest in this I thought we might as well start it right away :)

Now I better explain whats its all about and how it will work.

What its all about?

Basically its just another way we get to know each just that little bit better as one member is put in the spotlight and interviewed. Some of the questions will be deeper and more different from the usual questions asked when getting know each other when we first joined. There may be some strange and funny questions as at the end of the day this is suppose to be a bit of fun as well as the serious and hopefully thought provoking questions :p

We dont want to get to personal though so if theres a question that you dont want to go into to much detail you dont have to and as always you can always have a laugh about the question and come up with a witty answer.

Members will also get a chance to ask there own questions to the member in the spotlight that week and after the interview is posted we can all comment and even ask questions about the answers if people wish.

How will it work?

A member is chosen at random (although the first 2 members have already been chosen) to be in the spotlight
This member will be announced for all to know and then members have until the Wednesday night to PM their questions to me
The interview, set questions and members questions is sent by PM to the member in the spotlight on the thursday (or wednesday night) and they have until the Friday to send their answers back
The interview will hopefully be then posted on the friday night for all to see and comment
On the Friday night the next member will also be announced and members can start to PM their questions and the cycle starts all over again!

Ok so I think Ive finished the 15 set questions :D

Im posting them here and now so everyone can see them and know what not ask in their own questions.

*Note: As the set questions are already posted if you are chosen to be the member in the spotlight, announced on Fridays then you can already start answering them but obviously dont send them. This just makes life easier so you have more time and it means that when you do get sent the interview you only really need to think about the members question :D

Set Questions

1. What made you join SoapBoards and how has your time on here changed over the years? Can’t remember, it was a long time ago. I joined, then forgot about this place and came back a year or so later. I've gotten to know lots of great people and there are more regular posters now than when I first started posting.

2. What are your Hobbies and how did you get into them? Well I like reading, although I don’t do much of it these days. I love thrillers and forensic books, hate chic lit. I also like going for a hot chocolate at the student bar during the day and something a bit stronger in the evening.

3. Do you have any special talent or ability? I can read people pretty well. I can usually tell if someone is unhappy or pretending they’re fine when they’re not (it’s something I do an awful lot myself). Not really a talent but useful I guess.

4. Do you have a favourite quote from literature, TV, a famous person, etc.? Explain why it is your favourite. “An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.” I think it’s by Ghandi and its one of the few I remember. It’s important to remember that even if someone has wronged you in some way, you don’t have to take revenge or get even. Sometimes it’s better to just let things go and move on and be the bigger person. Of course, it depends on the situation as to what one does, but taking revenge just for the sake of it or because one is angry at the time isn’t always the best course of action.

5. What do you consider your best physical feature and your best aspect of your personality? I quite like my arms. The best part of my personality is also my downfall. I care too much about other people, to the detriment of myself (as some of you may remember). I give money to homeless people on the street, especially in winter, even when I can’t afford it. But then I think I have a bed, a roof over my head and food in the cupboards. Sonny, one of the homeless guys in Stoke, doesn’t have that. He has no family, no winter coat or scarf or gloves. A couple of quid so he can get a hot drink and something to eat isn't much.

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My nose, it’s too big and I have a “Robertson” bump. Everybody on my dad’s side of the family has a bump in their nose.

7. Do you have a life philosophy? Is so, what is it? I don’t. I rarely make advance plans and just take each day as it comes. I never know how I will be when I wake up in the morning so I see no point in making wonderful plans only to wake up feeling ill and not be able to do them.

8. What are the happiest and Saddest moments of your life? I think the most recent happiest moment was a few days ago when I found out I was going to be an auntie for the second, possibly third, time. I’ve had lots of sad moments in my life, especially in the past three or four months.

9. What’s the craziest thing you've ever done? Oh hell, you wouldn’t believe half the things I’ve done

10. Do you have any regrets, if yes, what and why? I regret not going on a ride at a theme park in Germany. I think it was Soltau near Hannover. I was too scared at the time

11. who’s your Idol and why? I don’t have one. Just because.

12. If were an animal what would you be and why? Hmm, a bulldog I think. They’re very cute, sleep most of the day and don’t need much exercise.

13. If you were any object, what would you be and why? A bed. Simple really.

14. What quality do you like best in a person and what quality do you hate the most? I hate lateness and rudeness. I like people who take the time to ask how others are and help out where they can.

15. If heaven exists what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates? Welcome to my palace, the bed is upstairs.

Do you like marmalade or jam? Strawberry jam on crumpets (waffles are so last year)

What did you want to be when you were a kid? and are you even close to becoming what you wanted? A vet or a doctor. No, I’ve gone from the living to the dead. I still have a huge interest in medicine and the human body and that comes out in my degree.

Do you have a large family? any niece/nephews? I have two sisters, 31 and 21 and one niece, who will be five on Saturday. My oldest sister is married and the other one has a long term boyfriend/partner and is expecting her first baby.

My mum is one of nine (one died 25 years ago) so I have lots of cousins (around 30 at last count), some of which I’ve never met and only found out about recently. Some of my cousins have had babies and are pregnant. I don’t see my maternal grandparents and one of my aunties. My nana is one of five who all have three or four kids each, plus grandkids and great grandkids so you can imagine how big the extended family gets.

My dad’s side is much simpler. He has two sisters, one has two young boys. Beyond my grandparents and aunties, I’ve never met anyone else.

If you could be anyone famous, who would that be and why? Any famous explorer. I would love to travel the world.

3. Red, blue or pink? Purple. But if I had to choose, blue.
4. Vodka or orange juice? When I’m at uni – vodka. At home – orange juice
5. What subject do you study at Uni? BSc (Hons) Policing and Criminal Investigation. It’s two hours of police law, powers etc. and six hours of forensic science. And no, I do not want to be a copper (everyone asks that). I chose the course because it’s predominantly forensics and as I did badly in my AS I knew I wouldn’t get into Teesside to study Crime Scene Science and I wanted to get as far away from home as possible. The policing aspect is rather interesting.
6. Who are your icons? I don’t have any.
7. Would you sleep with Victoria Beckham? No, not even if I was gay.
8. Would you sleep with David Beckham? No, I prefer guys with the manly look.
9. What is your most embarrasing moment? When I went on a school residential trip in year six, someone dared me to dance naked on my bed (with the lights out) singing “I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight” from the tv advert. Some tw*t turned the lights on didn’t they :rolleyes:
10. Who do you hate the most on SBS? I don’t hate anyone.
11. What's your moto? I don’t have one.

If you had a dinner party. Which 5 living or dead famous people would you like to be at the dinner table with you and why? Well Hugh Laurie for starters. I think he’s an amazing actor, he plays piano beautifully and has a wonderful smile. Second would be Johnny Depp. I need some eye candy at the table and I love the way he can change his look to suit the role so easily. I’d like a musician there so Paul McCartney. Simon Cowell would be my fourth choice, he can be outspoken like me. Finally, Barack Obama. Just so I can say I’ve cooked dinner for him.

1. What pets have you had, if any? I had a rabbit and a guinea pig when I was a small child. They both got stolen one night. When I was 7 I got a hamster called Betty. I got two giant French lop rabbits when I was about 11, called Roger and Rufus. One of them turned out to be a girl, can’t remember which. Roggy had motor neurone disease. Rufus was blind in one eye and died of meningitis. Also had the obligatory goldfish from the fair.
2. Favourite tv show. House. No contest.
3. Favourite movie. I don’t really watch films so that’s a hard one. Probably the Butterfly Effect.
4. Favourite food. Curry
5. Do you recycle. Yes
6. Did you read Animal Ark as a child. I think I read a few
7. What countries have you been to? Scotland, Germany, France and America
8. Do you like airports? Only the duty free bit. I find them tedious and boring. Far too much hanging around for my liking.

what one item would you take to a desert island? An airbed. I imagine the sand would get hard after a while.

What would you like to be doing in ten years time? I’d like to be working in the forensics field, hopefully married, own my own home and be planning a family.

What's your very first memory? I used to have a lot of nightmares as a child so it would be the one with the lion as the bottom of the stairs and me trying to get across the landing to my parents room, who usually told me to go back to bed.

If you had a million pounds what would you spend it on? A house and holiday for family then a round the world trip for me and a friend/boyfriend. I’d also put some money away for my niece and niece/nephew on the way.

If you house was on fire, what's the first thing you would grab? Laptop

What's your biggest dream and do you think you have a chance of fulfilling it? To spend a year or so travelling the world. Hopefully after I’ve finished uni and worked for a while to save up some money I can do it.

What's the most random thing you've ever done? Getting drunk in the uni library one night and conducting a social experiment to see if anyone would pick up a bottle of ribena off a chair in front of the vending machine instead of buying it. We also managed to get a dozen bottles of ribena out of the vending machine without paying for them. I still have the videos I took on my phone somewhere. As we were in during self service hours (it was about 1am), security kept coming round so we had to hide the empty bottles of vodka and try not to laugh or act drunk.
I’m sure there were better things we could have done instead of getting smashed in the library but we couldn’t think of any that night.

Is it better to be an optimist or a pessimist? Which one of those are you and why? I’m a bit of a pessimist, especially when things are going wrong. I can be optimistic, which I think is the better trait.

How do you think your friends and family view you as a person? I hope they think I’m a good person who likes to help out and will do anything for those who matter most.

1. If you had one day left to live, and money was no object, what would you do? Spend it with family and close friends. Or go parachuting, white water rafting, bungee jumping and other extreme sports.

2. If you had magic powers, and you could do one thing - personal or otherwise, with no consequences, what would you do? Make my sister better (she has fibromyaligia, can’t work and most days can’t get out of bed because she’s in so much pain).

3. If someone offered you a 'Revel', which one would you go for? I dunno, never had a revel so I don’t know what my options are.

4. Would you ever consider getting plastic surgery? (I don't think you need it ) Yes but not just yet.

I don't sleep very well during the night so about eight hours, plus two or three during the day. I'm going through another phase of insomnia which is driving me crazy at the moment.

I don't think I am. I have an assignment to do but I'm about a third through it, which I did yesterday. Last night was the worst night I've had in several months. I finally dropped off about 4am.

I go through phases of not sleeping at all during the night, going to bed at 10pm (highly unusual) and sleeping for 12 - 14 hours and then a normal bedtime (about 1am). You wouldn't want to share a bed with me :p Apart from that, I sleepwalk, sleep talk and call out when I'm asleep. I've also been known to touch people...

Over time though if its member you know quite well, Im hoping that different questions will be asked cos you know the person more and know more about them so could ask more specific things if that makes sense.

But yes you can ask the same and simillar questions but it would be nice if people can try to be different and stuff like that if they can please :D

1. What made you join SoapBoards and how has your time on here changed over the years?
I joined soapboards as I came across it via a BBC site and I loved the atmosphere that was on here. I never participated in discussions until recently and as a result my time has gone for 5mins online to an hour on this site or more.

2. What are your Hobbies and how did you get into them?
Biggest hobby for me is travelling. I had penpals from all over the world who would tell me about their countries and I wanted to see these places for myself.I dream of one day travelling to Australia- having christmas celebrations on a beach

I can play the piano

Physical feature has to be my eyes I think and the best aspect of my personality is that I’m always lively, and rarely sad. I always have a smile on my face.

I like someone that can be themselves not hide behind a mask. I like people that have their own opinion on matters and just don’t agree with the majority. I hate people that liar and those that are vain, I see superficial people as insecure souls and lacking substance.

I did in a previous relationship when she cheated on me.I thought she deserved another chance. I attempted to forgive and forget but when it happened again I walked away as I couldn’t be made to feel like that again. I felt a fool for forgiving in the first place!
If this happened again I don't think I could be so naive.

I had just joined the EE forum as it was closing and seen this site so decided to join. Over the years..well.. had a baby, made some fantastic friends and became a Moderator.. love the boards. Also won SBBB3

Pole dancing.. my friend wanted to do something different to salsa and we picked this for a laugh but ended up really loving it and have been doing it for nearly 2 years now

3. Do you have any special talent or ability?

None that I know of. I am pretty good at Calligraphy

4. Do you have a favourite quote from literature, TV, a famous person, etc.? Explain why it is your favourite.

Everyone says my smile lights up a room. I am a pretty outgoing person and love chatting all the time so make friends easily but I only have 1 or 2 really really close friends

My boobs.. wish they were bigger!!

“don’t let the *******s get to you, you’re stronger than that”.. It was something my dad said to me after my marriage breakup and he was right.

Happiest was having my 2 kids… Saddest was probably when Ben (my son) was going through his biting phase and having everyone look at him like he was a monster. That really hurt me

Mmm Hard one, must keep it clean as it is a family board. Twice I have dressed up as a guy and went to drag balls in Uni.. Also got drunk in a lecture which was much fun as the Lecturer provided the booze!!

I never regret anything I have done. Would I change things if I got a second chance, yes but not because of regret

Corny here but my Dad.. from an early age he thought me so many life philosophies and always told me to be who I am and not what everyone thinks I should be.
Other than that Madonna, I so wanted to be her since I was 12.

A black panter.. Sleeky, dangerous and still in the cat family so I can nap all day..

How come you love Madonna so much?
When Madonna came out I was 12, very impressionable age and she was iconic.. I love her music and the way she reinvents herself plus she has got a great business mind.

Oh tough choice.. I love both of them.. and I was in DS.. I still read all the episodes and rant to everyone about it.. but LOST is so different.. If I really had to pick one.. I would pick DS (so you better get back writing them)

God no!! if it wasn't for Bad luck I would have no luck at all :rotfl:

The people.. Getting spoilers etc is good but it is the people that make these board. You can get the information on many other sites and forum but not the same group of people you have here. that is hard to replicate and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Love all 3 but could live without EE for a while.. so between Lost and Street.. I would have to say the Street, it never fails to impress me and brings out all my emotions.

What would you say has been your biggest achievement in your life so far?
My honors degree in Software engineering. I come from a very poor background and could not afford University so I didn't go to Uni til I was 26.. In my final year Charley was on 3 weeks old when I started it so I had to be wife, mother and student but I still did it and I am so proud of it. Plus I am the only member of my family to have a degree.
(I should really say the kids :D )

Do you believe in 'karma'?
I would like to think what comes around goes around but then you see so many people getting away with things that you wonder will Karma every kick in.

1: No... didn't have a clue what I wanted to be.. still don't :rotfl:
2: Ireland making it to the world cup in 1990 (when I was 18) and on my 18th Bday they got knocked out by italy but the next day the Irish team came home and I was part of the crowd of 1 million that greeted them
3: Daddy, doesn't even compare to anything... Chips are gone so quickly but my daddy will be around forever

Hi Shiv, you come across as a very positive and strong person - I am sure that your daddy is very proud!

Going to Uni as an adult with other responsibilities must have taken so much work and organisational skill - many people would have been put off even starting.

My question is - how many hours a night do you sleep?

I try get 8 hours a sleep most night but ends up at around 7 ish

You are doing the right thing going to Uni.. I found that I was more focused at 26 then I was at 16.. I felt I had to get this right and I just did the best I could.
I reckon if I had stopped and thought about what I was doing I would have falling apart but I just kept going

What movie made you cry the most?
A Walk to Remember is really heartbreaking. And for some reason, Raising Helen made me cry a lot ha, it was those kids who were amazing at acting, you could really sympathise with them :(.

Oh gosh, hard question. It's going to sound really bad that I won't pick my mother or something lol.. but it would probably be my friend Emily.. because I know I could get through losing everyone, with her there.

What makes you proud to be Welsh?
Tom Jones haha. Well he does make me think.. "Ah, he's Welsh :)". He is something to be proud of!
Also, I love how patriotic us Welsh are.. that makes me proud. How we can randomly burst out singing together to songs like the National Anthem, Bread of Heaven, Calon Lan.. Everyone just sings! I'm sure that if something awful happened, we'd still stand there singing, to makes us all feel better ha.. That's kinda something to be proud of ha!

Whats your favourite Muppets film and why?

1. What made you join SoapBoards and how has your time on here changed over the years?
I think i found the link on the BBC Eastenders website as i joined the forum there about a week before it closed, funnily enough though i didn't start using this place properly until feb 2006 when Layne went on holiday and she asked to borrow my account as she was playing in SBBB and had to pretend to be ill in the game or something to get out of the house for her holiday but she wasn't going away till the day after so she couldn't be seen online haha fun times
As for what has changed, i've met alot of fab people on here, and joined in with a few of the reality games which have been fun and i've changed alot as a person myself since i first joined here too so there is that

2. What are your Hobbies and how did you get into them?
Ooooh i guess my biggest hobby is fanart but the story is so long as to how i got into it, but a guy i used to be friends with via the net got me into it i guess
Another hobby i have is writing, i don't really know how i got into it's just something i've always liked, i remember my first real story (it was awful and never ended haha)

3. Do you have any special talent or ability?
I'd like to think making fanart is one of them but i think if i asked alot of people they would say i am very talented with almost anything to do with computers

4. Do you have a favourite quote from literature, TV, a famous person, etc.? Explain why it is your favourite. Urm yes i do but it doesn't really have a meaning i just like the charcter of Jamie Scott in One Tree Hill and there are so many lines he has in the show that i love but this one is something i always remember
"It's my life and i'm taking a stand, is that ok?" I believe everyone should follow that boy's lead and take a stand for what they believe in

5. What do you consider your best physical feature and your best aspect of your personality? Oh deary me, i actually don't know about physical feature but id, but i'd like to think the best side of my personality is that i care about people (ALOT) but sometimes that can really backfire

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd like more friends haha but then i guess the ones i have are pretty damn awesome so it evens it out

7. Do you have a life philosophy? If so, what is it? I like to believe everything happens for a reason, even the bad stuff

8. What are the happiest and Saddest moments of your life? Saddest - hmmm well i was 4 when my nan died so i don't remember if i was sad or not but i guess i'd have to say that.
(30.08.09) Id like to add to the saddest moment of my life that it would be today and tomorrow as well as my other one, i just found out they think my rabbit has cancer and will put her to sleep tomorrow :crying:
Happiest - thats hard cos i don't think there has been an even where ive been happiest but there has been times where everything was just perfect and that would have to be the happiest i have ever been, but it most certainly has been in the last 3 and a half years

9. What’s the craziest thing you've ever done? Hmm i guess it's pretty crazy getting on a rollercoaster ya ******* scared of haha

10. Do you have any regrets, if yes, what and why? Sure i wish there was things that hadn't happened but i don't regret them because they are the reason that my life is what it is now

11. who’s your Idol and why? It sounds daft but my best friend is for all kinds of reasons but the main reason is cos of how she looks at life so positively pretty much all the time
But if you want to talk about a celebrity idol then Michael Jackson, i don't know why he always has been, i copied him so much as a kid

12. If you were an animal what would you be and why? Dolphin (it would have to be a bottlenose one though) cos they are right cute and they spend all the time in the water - i love water

1) What was your first childhood memory?
thats hard because ive got loads of home videos of my childhood and ive got memories but they get muddled up because i dont know if i really remember the stuff from the videos or i just know it happend because ive seen it but the first real one i guess was the day my nan died when i was 4, i dont remember it all just that i was in my mums bed for a cuddle (dad had gone to work) and then the phone rung (it was dad's side of the bed so i had to get up so mum could answer it) then my brother woke up (he was 1) and cried so i had to go in to him, i dont remember owt else about it till i went back in mums room and she was crying then she told me and then its blank until we had got to my grandad's house (about an hour and a half away by car - this was a different area to where we are now tho) and i was playing wi my mum's best mates little girl thats it

i dont know actually there isnt really anyone i like on there now tbh but i always used to like zoe so if she was still there then her

Set Questions

1. What made you join SoapBoards and how has your time on here changed over the years?
I got a link to the site after a Google search “soap discussion” or something similar I tapped in. I wanted to join as I loved all the soaps, Casualty and The Bill at the time. I was about 14 and had this horrible obsession over Sam Nixon/Phil Hunter and if they were going to get it together or not, so I wanted to tell Soapboards how much I loved them together on the show! Luckily, I grew out of that phase and my time here has allowed me to meet some lovely people and to grow up and mature when it came to posting.

2. What are your Hobbies and how did you get into them?
My biggest hobbies are probably reading and writing. I got into writing after I had a poem published in a book in primary school and one of my teachers told me “I was good at it”. I really enjoyed English lessons in secondary school, so as a result started doing extra reading at home too.

3. Do you have any special talent or ability?
I wouldn’t say I have, no.

4. Do you have a favourite quote from literature, TV, a famous person, etc.? Explain why it is your favourite.
My favourite quote is from Satan in Paradise Lost “Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven” Satan obviously wants to be independent and wants to use his own initiative and make his current situation a better one, opposed to just following God’s orders in the poem. I believe we can relate this quote to the 21st Century – I believe that it’s important that we all follow our own individual goals and don’t bow down to anyone. It’s important that we are independent and do what we wish to do. Having initiative is a good thing.

5. What do you consider your best physical feature and your best aspect of your personality?
People say my smile is cute and that I’m a good listener and offer good advice.

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d change my mindset and be more positive.

7. Do you have a life philosophy? If so, what is it?
If something happened, it was meant to happen…not sure if that’s a philosophy as such but it’s how I cope if something bad happens.

Saddest – probably my auntie and granddad passing away. I only have vague memories of them and it would have been nice to have known them and for us to have shared happy memories as I grew up.
Happiest – getting my GCSE results and seeing my old special needs teacher and telling her my results! I was expected to get no qualifications when I first started school, so to prove everyone wrong was a brilliant feeling.

Probably running down the street with just my boxers on.

No regrets because I believe in fate. Whatever happened, was meant to happen.

What languages do you speak?
I can speak a bit of French and Welsh. I really enjoyed Welsh lessons in school and went on a Welsh trip where I learnt a lot more Welsh vocabulary, as I was surrounded by lots of Welsh speakers. I also did GCSE French so can speak some French too, though I would need to do a bit of brushing up as I haven’t spoke any French for 2 years!

What famous people have you met? or seen?
I met Linda Robson at a balloon festival when I was younger. I told her how much I loved Birds of a Feather lol and how I wanted there to be a new series. She told me there wouldn’t be another. I was upset but she said she appreciated my love for the show! It was lovely to just speak to her for a few minutes. I also walked past Gok Wan at the mall in Bristol as he was doing book signings on the day I was shopping there!

Are you on facebook?
Yes, I added you as a friend on there, remember? Facebook is like a written version of Jeremy Kyle. Seeing attention seeking status updates and the arguments that start through the comments is so entertaining to read on a boring afternoon, though there are downsides to Facebook too.

Do you twitter?
Yes, I do Twitter. At first, I didn’t see what the fuss was about but I’ve persevered and now it has got rather addictive. I tweet at least once a day and I follow certain celebs I really like and appreciate, such as Alan Davies and Ruth Lorenzo. Sometimes, they tweet something really interesting and useful.

What other sites are you on?
I go on The Student Room and Digital Spy a lot. They can be entertaining to read. “I’ve slept with my friend’s mum, what to do now?” “I’ve drawn permanent marker on my face. How can I face my parents now?” are some of the most bizarre threads I’ve ever read. I also go on YouTube just to listen to songs I really like, saves buying them off I Tunes. Usually I get in the habit of listening to a certain song over and over though and getting completely sick of it.

Do you believe in life after death?
Yes, I do. It’s a rather comforting thought to have, especially when you near the end of your life. It’s not nice to wonder “is this it? Is this my existence?” and thinking there is nothing after. I live this life, fully believing that there is something to look forward to after. And it also provides me comfort as I think of some of my deceased relatives. I like to think they are living a “second life” in peace, somewhere else. When my death arrives, I will simply treat it like a holiday. I’m moving away, to my second life, wherever it may be.

What job do you do?
I’ve had a paper round for six years. Not much of a job, compared to other jobs people have but I’ve really enjoyed it. Last year, I did work in Homebase over the Christmas and New Year period. I found it rather challenging. If I’m being honest, it really opened my eyes to how hard people can work and how far they stretch themselves.

What is your favourite alcoholic drink?
Southern Comfort. I think it’s a gorgeous drink and always drink it on a night out, without fail.

What was the last song you downloaded?
Last single song was quite a long time ago, it was Alexandra Burke’s Hallejuah. Last album was Escala, a few months back.

1. What is your favourite film and why?
Brokeback Mountain. It’s just a beautiful film and the only film I’ve ever watched which has brought out so many emotions. It was thought provoking and had some brilliant acting performances from the leads. I cried at the end and I’ve never cried so passionately over a film before. I thought about it for days afterwards. To have that affect is so powerful.

2. If you had to choose any month to live in forever, what month would it be and why?
Hmm a tough one, but I’ll go for March as mine and my mum’s birthday is in that month and it’s not too much of a bad month really. Everything’s ordinary, no exams, a month where I find everything is usually running smoothly… and it’s St David’s Day on March the 1st! Could it get any better?!

3. Do you have any pets? If so, what are they?
I don’t have any pets anymore. My hamster died a few months ago, unfortunately.

4. What was your favourite childhood toy?
Action Man! I loved Action Man and collected loads of them! I remember I made up little stories about them all and did loads of stunts in the house. I bought a big jeep and put two action men in and just threw it down the stairs as a big stunt.

5. If you could go back in time and do something differently... would you?
No, I don’t think I would. I am a believer in fate. What happened, happened and it was obviously meant to happen that way.

6. So what is it that makes you proud to be Welsh??
Well, I love welsh cakes! Daffodils and the great feeling that comes with St. David’s Day where all the Welsh people come together to celebrate just being Welsh!
7. What the heck is the story about the Millets voucher?!
Well… I took part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and got some freebies as a reward for taking part. One of these freebies was the Millets voucher. I have kept this voucher and I’ve never spent it. I’ve gone to Millets numerous times, but I’ve never spent the voucher. I remember I revealed this on here, which has led to Pinkbanana and others to encourage me to confess my obsession for Millets and how I visit but can never pluck up the courage to use my voucher! It is now currently still with me and is out of date. I can see myself keeping it forever, as I’ve grown weirdly attached to it…

1. What do you want to do career wise?
I’d love to write a TV drama or write for a current existing one. I did consider journalism at one stage as a career, but I eventually realised through work experience that the world of journalism can be very shallow and isn’t for me.

2. Can you sing well?
Nope, my singing voice is terrible! I remember there was Soapboards X Factor on here. I sang Barbie Girl on the first round and got booted out first! I really am a terrible singer.

3. Beach or mountains for holiday destination?
Definetly the beach. I used to go to Weymouth every year on holiday as a child and I spent all day on the beach, building moats in the sand or building a sandcastle, or burying myself. I love the beach and I’m glad my university has one!

I’ve always preferred EastEnders. I don’t really know why. I think I just prefer the characters in EastEnders.

If you won an award at a massive cermony, what would your acceptance speech sound like?
There would be lots of long pauses as I’d be really nervous but I’d try to turn my nerves into something funny and comical, so as to make my audience laugh as that would relax me. I’d say thanks and crack a joke, then do what Napoleon Dynamite did – that really silly dance, then a high pitched ending “I’ll make your wildest dreams come true!”

Do you prefer to pay more for a label or are you cheap and cheerful and not bothered where its from?
I’m really not bothered where it’s from. Not into fashion to be honest. If it fits me and I like the look of it, then I don’t mind.

Outline an average day in the life of davey for us...
I wake up. Listen to Radio 1. Have a shower. Read a book. Come online to post on Soapboards, go on Facebook etc. Do my paper round. Play on the Nintendo Wii or catch up on TV shows I’ve missed. Go out with my friends to play some football or go to the pub and have a drink, play pool. Write in my diary as night falls and the day finishes.

Anything ever happened to you/around you that was that funny you nearly/did cry/wet yourself? (oh and please detail!)
This happened to me. Basically, me and my friends went to the cinema a few years ago. We bought our tickets and we seen this random man walking in and out of different cinema screens. I started taking the mickey saying “what on earth does that man think hes doing?! Can’t he decide what film he wants to watch? What a plonker!” Basically, I was being a right bitch! As I say all these things, I am about to open the door to our screen, when he opens the cinema door and it slams right into my face. My friends died laughing and swears the man heard everything I said and slammed it into my face on purpose!

If you had a toothbrush that played music when you brushed (i have one of these and they are amazing) what song would you choose and why?
Blues Brothers “Everybody needs somebody to love” – its such an upbeat song and would motivate me to brush round my whole mouth and brush round those corners and edges! And everybody loves somebody with nice clean looking teeth!

The Z list celebrities that everybody else seems to love. Always good to have a controversial opinion! My ex Drama teacher – I think the feeling was rather mutual. She always embarrassed me in front of the class and wound me up! And once, I did shout at her as she got me really pent up and angry…but there were times, when I stayed behind and she helped me whenever I was feeling down. It was a weird relationship, definetly a love/hate.

4. A secret that you blurted out?
At my house party, I was a tiny bit drunk and my close friend revealed that him and his girlfriend were planning to try for a baby but they wanted to keep it low key. I was shocked and blurted out in a room full of people “You are going to have a baby?!”. There was such an awkward silence, as everyone in the room just faced me, my friend and his girlfriend. Ooops.

5. What are your favourite sports that you play?
I do like playing football. I am not that great at it, but I always go out with my mates and have a kick about or we have a mini match. Great fun and good exercise! I also enjoy playing tennis and cricket in the summer time. I wouldn’t ever want to play seriously though, as a) I am crap at them anyway and b) I dislike the way people act as if a certain sport is their life.

I accidentally dropped my brother’s lego set down the stairs and destroyed what he had built! He wasn’t very happy with me at all!

4)favourite holiday?
My first haven holiday at Torquay. I was nine years old. On the first night, it was “challenge night” and I volunteered in front of everyone for a mysterious challenge. I went onto the stage and I was told I had to kiss as many girls as I could in a minute and a half. I kissed 40 girls and got a certificate. For the rest of the week, this ginger haired girl hung around with me as she was one of the girls I kissed. We spent the whole week together, swimming in the swimming pool, playing crazy golf. When the week ended, we went our separate ways and that was that but it was one of the best weeks of my life.

5)Were would you like to be in 5 years time?
I’d like to be on the EastEnders set, in charge of cast and crew, planning out Peggy Mitchell’s exit storyline in particular.

Unfortunately, half empty. I am too negative. I wish I wasn’t, but I just am. I’ve tried to be more positive and I do try but I guess it’s just how my brain works.

1. What made you join SoapBoards and how has your time on here changed over the years?
I was really into Hollyoaks and looking for som spoilers, and found a link for this site, and I've been hooked ever since. I've only been here for about 18 months, but I've learnt some really amazing new things and met some amazing and unique people that I'm proud to call my friends :)

2. What are your Hobbies and how did you get into them?
My main hobby is dancing, I've danced since I was 5 as some of my school friends went so I joined too.. I don't think my Nan ever thought that 13 years down the line I'd still be there haha

3. Do you have any special talent or ability?
Hmm, I can touch my nose with my tongue

4. Do you have a favourite quote from literature, TV, a famous person, etc.? Explain why it is your favourite.
I really can't think of one. I do love the line in Twilight where Edward says to Bella "I don't think i ahve the strength to stay away from you anymore" and she replies with "then don't", it just makes me go eeeeeeeeee haha, it's so so cute :)

5. What do you consider your best physical feature and your best aspect of your personality?
If I get complimented on, it's usually about my eyes, because they're quite a bright blue I guess. Personality, I'm happy alot of the time, so I'm always smiling, so my happy-go-lucky personality is somethign that's picked up on by people.

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My perceptions, I am so naive, which allows myself to be taken for granted, I'm way too soft on people.

7. Do you have a life philosophy? Is so, what is it?
Um, I always always say what goes around comes around, it's so true.

8. What are the happiest and Saddest moments of your life?
Happiest, i have so many. Meeting the cast of Hairspray as they came out of the theatre in London is definately something I'll never forget
Saddest, um, not too sure. I've never really lost anyone, but my Mum losing a baby a year or so ago was really difficult, mainly because it affected the whole family, and I hate seeing my family upset.

9. What’s the craziest thing you've ever done?
..I'm quite boring. HAHA oh wait. In Year 7, we were sat in Biology, and I got bored.. my hair was dangling in my face... so I cut it off, but ended up with this crew cut in the fornt of my head and had to wear a headband for like 6 weeks to cover it up.. bad times :lol:

10. Do you have any regrets, if yes, what and why?
I don't have any regrets, because at the time, it was what I wanted, plus, I learn from things that happen to me, which makes things better for the present and the future.

11. who’s your Idol and why?
My Nan. She is such a strong person, and even though she nags at times, she is just amazing, she's always right, and she's come through alot, plus she's my ultimate rock, and I've lived with her since I was a baby because my Mum and Dad were so young, so I am so greatful to her and all that she does for me... plus she makes the nicest cook dinner and chocolate cake ever! :p

12. If were an animal what would you be and why?
Hmm, it's not an animal, it's an insect, but a butterfly.. because they're just dainty and colourful and fly about all the flowers completely carefree :)

A blanket, because I'd be all snuggly and cosy for someone to cuddle up to :)

14. What quality do you like best in a person and what quality do you hate the most?
I love people with a sense of humour :) and I really really dislike people so far up their own bum that they can't even see if the sun is shining, just because they think they're better than you.

What job do you want to do one day?
Well I'm set on management now, but I'm undecided whether or not I want to go into hotel management or restaurant management at the moment

Would you ever emigrate to a different country?
Definately not. I love Wales, even if we do have rubbish weather and I'd miss my family and friends too much.

What was the best Christmas present you have ever had and what was the worst?
Oohhh toughie. The best, well I'm greatful for whatever I receive because there's people out there who get nothing, but I still have my dolls house I got when I was like 7 years old, and also my saxophone which I no longer have lessons for, but I still love to play every now and again :)

Worst, well... my Nan (Mum's Mum..she doesn't really like my Mum) got me this really horrible double gold silk frilly duvet cover, funny thing is... she had given it to us to sell in a car boot earlier in the year, but it didn't sell so she took it back and gave it to me for Christmas :ninja:

1) I don't know much about you so tell me what you are currently doing and where do you hope to see yourself in the future?
Ok so at the moment I'm in College doing a BTEC National Diploma in Hospitality, which is more the management side of things, I also work in a restaurant as a waitress part time, and I dance (ballet, tap, modern) on a Tuesday and Thursday too.

In the future I'd love to have my own restaurant/hotel... or something to call my own. I'd like to settle down and have kids in the future too... but hopefully not until I have a career sorted out

Bryans Interview

1. What made you join SoapBoards and how has your time on here changed over the years?

I joined it by chance when I was a total Eastenders maniac, and I remember I always used to finish each post, with my name "bondboffin" as if it was signing off a letter. How immature haha. As i have grown up, I've grown up on the boards. I find it hard to believe next year I'll have been a member on here for 5 years! :eek:

2. What are your Hobbies and how did you get into them?

My main hobby is writing, if you didn't know already haha. I've always been creative and written since a little kid, but I started to take it seriously when I got lots of praise from teachers for my creative writing.

3. Do you have any special talent or ability?

My writing :D

4. Do you have a favourite quote from literature, TV, a famous person, etc.? Explain why it is your favourite.

5. What do you consider your best physical feature and your best aspect of your personality?

My boyfriend tells me my eyes are my best feature. I dont like any part of how i look to be honest. Personality wise I'd say I'm a very warm and caring person.

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

How I look. :(

7. Do you have a life philosophy? Is so, what is it?

Life for the moment and don't have regrets.

8. What are the happiest and Saddest moments of your life?

Happiest moment is the past few months, getting close to my boyfriend and falling in love. Saddest would be when my grandad died.

9. What’s the craziest thing you've ever done?

I'm a student, who goes out drinking. There are far too many to mention! :D

10. Do you have any regrets, if yes, what and why?

That I didn't come out sooner to my people.

My boyfriend Nick. He's been through so many bad things in life, but he's still here, and he's still happy.

A monkey, becuase people already say I'm a cheeky little monkey :D

I like genuine and honest people. I hate shallow and judgemental people.

What are you studying?

Screenwriting at Southampton Solent university! Sounds a lot more exciting than it is, it's a total let down of a course, but I enjoy the uni experience :D

Would you consider plastic surgery to change your looks?

Definatley, I'm very insecure about my looks and my body, and would like various things done. But I'd only ever pay for it with my own money that I've earnt. But if I had a family, I'd never put myself and my looks before providing for them. My hapiness can wait.

Would you entertain the idea of space travel?

Why not? I'd probably be sick in the process but hey ho! To see Earth would be amazing.

Do you have any phobias?

I can not stand rats, if I saw a rat in my house I'd move out :ninja:

What is your current writing project and will Devon Seas possibly make a return in the future?

My current writing project is a script I'm doing for a lecturer for performance students to film, it's called "Betrayal" and it's about a teenage boy who is gay, and the bullying get's too much and he commits suicide, and it follows his family and their reactions after his death.

I can't see Devon Seas returning to the boards, but it is something that I am determined to see brought to television at some point in the future, so stay tuned :D

What's your favourite song at the moment?

Fight For This Love by Cheryl Cole :D It's me and my boyfriend's new favourite song.

What's the biggest compliment you have had?

The 90s or the Noughties?

As fun as the 90s were, it's the noughties were life started to become interesting

How's this decade been for you?

Well i started as a little shy school boy, and will end the decade a confident young man, who has come out and found love. So swings and roundabouts really, but I wouldn't change a minute of it.

What is the most controversial thing you have done?

I bit a girls arm at primary school. She had my friend in a headlock and he couldnt breath and she wouldn't let go, so i just went for her and i think she still has teeth marks to this day...ooops.

Devon Seas without a doubt, it's a shame I don't have the time to continue it, but it will be back

2) Did you sent the letter to your parents, if yes, did you get a response?

It's not been sent yet, becuase I want to enjoy my trip to Sweden with my boyfriend first, if the reaction is bad I dont want to ruin that experience with him, it will be sent when I get back

4) Out of all the tasks you did for SBBB which one would you have loved to see on the real Big Brother?

The campfire one, where people needed to be up 24-7! Cranky housemates are never good, but always funny! Imagine the whole Collette/Jack/bucket of water fiasco on real BB!

5) Squishy tushy or hard rock abs?

Rock hard abs, but sadly I'm more leaning towards squishy

6) which writers do you think has influenced you most?

Jimmy McGovern without a doubt. He shows you dont need to be OTT and over dramatic to create amazing drama. The simpler the better. I've learnt that after watching the Street and try and stick to that in my writing these days.

7) Who loves ya baby???

Sienna Miller, I'm not sure why but she captivates me with her performances, especially in Factory Girl as Eddie Sedgwick.

I want to live in the UK, but in Devon, and I plan to move there in a couple of years!

They are a fun bunch, we have a laugh in the staff forum, good bit of banter.

If I was in BB i'd take loads of cigarettes and trade them for treats. I think I'd be a Jekyl and Hyde kind of person, as I can be happy or I can be moody.

My hearing - I am 80% deaf (but it has never stopped me doing anything!)

Wedding day, birth of my children are happiest.

Death of my Nenny (Granny) when I was expecting my second son was definitely the saddest.

1. What is your favourite season and why?

Spring. Lengthening days, silvery sunshine and spring flowers. Time of hope and renewal - plus it doesn't rain quite as much in the spring in Scotland!

2. Early bird or night owl?

Early bird, definitely, I wake up at 6 ish every morning and I hardly ever make it past 11pm

3. What is your hair colour and the colour of your eyes?

My hair is goldeny brown (at the moment!) eyes are blue. I haven't seen my natural hair colour for quite some time, but I assume I am grey!

1) You've recently returned to studying. Can I ask what made you decided to become a student again and what changes do you notice since the last time you were a student?

Students are much less respectful of their lecturers. That is not necessarily a bad thing, though, students are now customers rather than just an irritation.

2) Have you told anyone on SB what Norman Bates really looks like after the Soapboards meeting in Livingston?

No. A secret we should all take to the grave - unless he wants to publish a photo where he isn't wearing a motorcycle helmet?

3) What would be your dream job/career?

I love what I do! If I wasn't in research management I think that I would like to have done something arty - I love painting.

4) What did you think of Tony Almenia's return in 24?

I was gutted by the way they made him a bad guy, then a good guy, then a bad guy - I can't even remember where he ended up on the spectrum of badness.

What are you afraid of?

Spiders! We have huge ones here, much bigger than any house spider I have seen in any other place I have live ( and I have lived in A LOT of houses).

I am also afraid of heights, but I am really working on that. I am very proud to say that I climbed to the top of York Minster a few weeks ago without throwing a wobbly.

Whats your biggest regret?

Je ne regrette rien. Regret is a waste of energy, if you do anything that hurts someone else, apologise and don't do it again.

When did you last cry?

A gosh, I cry ALL THE TIME at movies, books, the news - I am a total softy.

Who is your inspiration?

This is similar to an earlier question and quite a tough one.

I am inspired by art, and by talent and intelligence. I am inspired by people who do all they can, who make the most of what they have and who treat people who do not have as much as them with merit.

Leonard Da Vinci was an amazing man, artist, scientist and inventor - I don't know how he treated people, though. The Mono Lisa didn't look too happy.
