Haha Abi, I can't ring up and do that.. I'd feel cheeky lol. But apparently they have more vacancies at Christmas so I'll try then.. in the mean time, I'm jsut printing off millions of cvs and putting them in every shop possible! Someone must want me! :(

Why not?! If you know full well that they have a vacancy, you might as well try and get it!! Worth a try.

yeh i agree with abi. if you ask and they turn you down then youve not lost anything, but if you dont even ask about the vacancy then you wont even have a chance of getting the job. theres no harm in asking

Yeahh I suppose, but apparently they take on more people than they need at first anyways and do trial runs, but if she does leave then I'll ring them up and see :)
Been a fairly laid back day. i live with two girls down south for uni, and my best friend (one of the girls) has had to go back to London for a couple of days so i've been kind of bored, all the other girl does is sleeps. she got in at midnight last night and went to bed, she got up at 10 for a nutella sandwhich (i swear she's obsessed with the stuff!) then went back to bed, she's still asleep now!
all i've done is baked some chocolate brownies! i followed the recipe but they've come out the ozen and the bottom bit is all gooey, i know brownies are meant to be to a degree but this is practically liquid! bit disapointed with that! i might mush it all together and put it in the freezer! haha
had my first day of work at the student union shop yday, was so busy as all the freshers students (2000+) were milling around for the student fair so all were coming in to buy things, was rushed off my feet but i suppose that is the best way to learn! i alone sold about £750 pounds worth of stuff in 4 hours, thats mainly due to the uni hoodies costing £21 each, and everyone was coming in to buy them!
Even if you don't do it Kirsty, then as you say, Xmas is coming = vacancies!

I'm getting ready to leave Manchester. Not for good as I'd planned, though, there's too much here now...

A young blind lad got on the bus today while his mam stood there to see him off. he asked the bus driver to tell him when he was at the right stop then rang his mam about two minutes later crying to say he was alright :( he must have only been about 14 or something. I actually had a tear in my eye, it totally makes you realise how lucky you are. I moan about petty things all the time but can't even imagine what it must be like to be in a situation like that. Most of us don't even know we're born.

Yeah...I agree.
My day was quite good too. Went to an allotment prizegiving and then to a cafe in a little side road that turns italian every night lol. Saw Stella Gonet which was really cool. Didn't go up to her though because she was leaving and with her family and I never know what to say :p
I need to start looking for a job soon. I printed off a load of cvs just need to get around to giving them to shops. :)

It's not giving CV's in I have a problem with (for now) It's actually printing them out... I ahve no ink so can't print any out lol. I'll have to sneakily print some out in school tomorrow! :D
Changed my internet provider and landline phone to a new contractor who has now cut me off my phone and I have no internet as they are unable to provide me with the hardware I need to make phone calls and use the computer. No idea when they are able to come up with the goods. Unfortunately, I have to wait two years before I can change to a better provider. :crying: Looking after my friend's dog Buster again until Monday, means lots of fresh air and exercise :D but landlady not impressed and will not allow me to take him in again in future. :(
I am all settled into the new house, only got the internet up and running yesterday. I am moving out if the others keep behaving the way they are doing. They won't stop bickering with each other! Its driving me crazy and its a huge change for me so it is taking a while for me to settle. I have come from a full time job for three months early rise early to bed whoch i love to late nights and early mornings and i think my body is finding it hard to adjust.
Todays job is full on blitz of my room, it is a complete state.
Hope everyones moves and things went well and everyone enjoyed summer. I think i have had withdrawels from this site.
:cheer: Kasple you changed colour!!! :D Well done
Sorry if Im a bit late, Ive been really busy with college, keep getting loads of 30 mark essays to do and its really complicated :(
I still havent caught up on my sleep after the dance show which was now a week ago :(

had a great day today. got up early to get my bus pass as its half price if you buy it this week. then i was up at the freshers fair all day trying to persuade people to join cheerleading. it was a bit boring at times, but i managed to persuade loads of people, even some guys after flirting with them for a bit but i dont think theyre gonna come lol! and some boxers signed up in exchange for me signing up to boxing haha thats never gonna happen! and i saw one of my friends up there who was working giving out flyers for something and he was useless so i offered to help him and got rid of my lot really quickly so i asked his boss if i could have his job instead lol! so good day and im going to my housemates 21st bday party this evening and shes having an open bar! :D

Wahayy well done Stars :)
Ughhhh such a crap day! I've had enough. Mainly of my friends! I'm forever putting things aside to help them and then it jsut gets thrown back in my face!!
All my friends have gone to one of our other friends house tonight and he gave everyone a lift to his but I asked and it was "no, I haven't got enough petrol"... I wouldn't mind if I never gave him money or got my Granch to give them all lifts because they're all wrecked out of their skulls with no way to get home... but I DO! That's what really annoys me about it, he'll happily give the poeple lifts who give him buggar all but oh no, I can't have a lift. So now I can't even go because I have no way of getting home or anything. Hmm nice friends. I'm just sick of it. I'd be much happier with no friends at all lately I think! I really really do. :(:(:(

just got back from my housemates party, it was ok but everyone seemed to just be standing around being boring, hardly anyone was dancing! it was quite fun when people decided to dance. but the annoying thing was i had to get other people to get my drinks as i forgot my id and they were iding everyone!  but yeh it was ok, dunno why people were being so boring today when theyre not usually! oh and my feet hurt! i walked home with no shoes on!
Never play football after a night out. Its not good, i though i was going to be sick mid sit up! not good!
I am recovering from freshers week this weekend so i am all ready for evidence lectures at 9 am on monday morning.
I start uni tomorrow. I'm packed and everything now, but a mix of terrified and excited right now. I found three people in my flat on facebook, and they all seem nice which is good. One of them only lives about 10 minutes from me.

Meant to have done 2 pages of notes on my personal study and haven't done it at all. So going to have to do it after i've went swimming and after my dad's taken me out to show me how to use the clutch on a car. But i'm not getting anymore detentions off of her althrough i didn't go to the last one and she hasn't said anything about it lol.

There was a nice note on my car this evening that told me that someone backed into my car. Nice of them. :D Not so nice of the person who drove off, but the numberplate and make of car is helpfully on the note, so, if there is any damage (it was too dark to see) I'll be able to track them down (well the police will lol) and make them pay up.
I've got to do so much homework tomorrow. :( I have been set work in all my subjects...lol!
I found a good website for jobsearching earlier. It's: http://www.student-jobs.co.uk/index.aspx I'm hoping to apply (need to find references first lol) for a job a rugby stadium doing waitressing/bar work/stewarding. It's 5 mins away from my college lol so it's handy..

Had sucha boring day, this weekend has been pants!
Well todays not been that bad, my sister was down for the day so I've spent alot of my day with her which has been nice :)
I really need to get myself into school work mode thoguh!
Today hasn't been my day till like half an hour ago. Me and my dad were in my mums convertible and he misjudged a corner and the car went straight or an embankment which then cause it to roll down but thank god the roof was don and we are both fine, i'm just in shock and have a sore hand due to it being cut but the car is worse just so glad we both got out of it fine. I feel so guilty through cause it was me that wanted to go out. :(
Went for my first driving lesson (well if you could call it that) and learned how to work the clutch it was weird the sterring wheel is strange to.

It was a close call, when are coach said do the same dribbling exercise followed by ten sit ups i thought there would be sick, not pleasant.
Glad your ok Tannie, I bet that was scary.
Still not had much luck with the tidying of room!

Awwww, you having a good time though?
Where are you again, and what are you doing?
I went to my friend's birthday party today. She's 17 tomorrow so she thought she'd have the party today as she's taking hefty subjects. Further Maths (as she did A Level Maths in Year 10) Physics, Chemistry and Music. My mum had to drive me to my other friend's house so that my friend's dad could pick me up (coming all the way down to mine was too far out of the way as we had to have pizza before we went to the cinema.) Mum offered to take me and I don't really trust her driving as she hadn't driven since I was like 7 before May time, but because of the buses on Sunday I didn't really have a choice. I really thought she was going to crash the car.
We saw 'The Women' at the cinema which turned out to be a really good film. I have to buy it on DVD when it comes out. There's a birth scene in it which was the most unrealistic thing ever, it sounded like the screaming was coming from a voiceover and not the woman. It's so funny throughout.
Also went for a pizza but we had booked tickets for the film so we had to rush. We all ran out leaving half a pizza on the plates and leaving my friend's parents to sort out doggy bags.. I don't eat cold pizza so my parents had mine. It annoyed me that they were all discussing driving lessons when they only live like a 5 minute walk from the rest of their friends. One of them has started going off home in frees because she can't concentrate with the number of people messing around in them. I can't either and she goes off and leaves me. I had to redo an essay today that I messed up in the free because I couldn't concentrate. I don't know when I'm going to get time to do Business coursework now, I've got revision to do for Friday.

Christ just found out someone from my old year in school died today in a motorbike accident, i didnt really know him too well but still..quite shocking :(
 They are when it's someone you knew but didn't really know if that makes sense. I spoke to this girl once or twice that died from a brain haemorrhage when she was 16 just over 2 years ago.

Motorbikes are dangerous things to ride. :S
The one day I sit down to do homework is the day everything happens
The lodger upstairs fell in the bathroom and hit her head and it needed stitches , my dad had to go somewher and my mum was in her dressing gown lol so I drove to A&E and waited with her. Took about 4 hours in total which I don't think is too bad for a Sunday. The amount of people in there who looked like they'd been in a fight was astonishing lol!
Then got home, started to do work, then the Brazilian woman arrived. Did a bit more then it was supper which when we have guests round always seems to take 2 hours plus instead of half an hour lol and then transferred photos for her, took me ages because the CD's kept being funny.
My history teacher will just have to cope with the fact my homework isn't quite finished. Too tired tonight lol.

Haha! I don't know about that.. Im not a whisky fan myself!
But it's a UNi in like... sort of mid Wales-ish lol.
Not heading into school today cause i all of a sudden have a sore back think this is the ache and pains starting to happen from the accident. Went into a&e yesterday just to get checked over and i'm fine minus the sore back. So i went out after we had came back from edinburgh cause we were going out for a meal but about 7.50 i started to feel really sick so i got my dad to pick me up cause we were walking through Dalgety Bay. Heading in the bath in a bit to see of that helps:Dx. And they gave me a tablet at the hospital to stop my stomach pains for a bit and it helped but i looked drunk and was woozy.

Stressful day!
Well no, school was ok.. same old same old but was nice for a change and I went into "do work mode" which was ace, I feela ll good about myself for doing work now haha :)
Then I got home and my Mum and Sister were at my house which was nice :) and then my Mum got my brother from school and he was at my Nans too and was quite chuffed to see what his amazing big sister had got for him - Lots of conkers :D haah how nice am I?! lol.
Then I had dancing and everythign went to pot, I'm supposed to start at half 7 but my Granch didn't get in from work until 25 to 8! So I was in a state what with the show coming up and then when I was at dancing I was in a bad mood as it is but then the bitchy girls started and omg I literally wanted to let allll steam loose but I couldn't!
I'm all calm now now, jsut chillingg and nosing about on here and Facebook etc :) Hopefully tomorrow is a better day :)
It is my birthday on here today - I joined up one year ago today  And all I wanted was a sneak preview of what was coming up in my favourite soaps  Thank you to all of you for making this one fantastic forum

didnt do much sunday, went to a cheerleading meeting for the freshers which was boring cos we just sat at the back so the freshers could see who we were and that was it for 1hr! they all went to the bar afterwards but i came home cos i didnt really feel like staying
yesterday i had my first lecture, theres only 8 of us doing that module! when i was waiting outside the classroom i found out we were meant to have done work for it but i didnt know cos i hadnt got the email! so that panicked me a bit! but the lecturer was really nice and i just tried my best to improvise it lol! but the module was quite good and i wasnt sitting there confused the whole time so thats good! then yesterday evening was the freshers cheerleading bar crawl so that we could meet all the freshers properly, i only went for a bit and left when they went to the club as ive got a 9am lecture today and i wasnt drinking so i was getting a bit bored as everyone else was really drunk! :( luckily my housemate has a 9am lecture today too so shes gonna give me a lift up :)
I am sooo tired. Freshers week takes it out of you lol. The union had a foam party last night which was awesome. I was right in the middle and got proper squished haha. Looked a right wreck when we left. Had to get up at 8 to go to some introduction lecture too, which wasn't good.
My TV has untuned itself somehow. and i forgot the remote. So my Mum is sending it to me in the post so i can make it work again. I didn't even think about bringing the remote cause i always use a freeview box, but oh well.
Had an early night last night and I'm still really tired. I quit workwise for tonight; I get to school half an hour early every day and work then, worked in the free, 2 hours when I got in and just done a bit more. Was nearly falling asleep in Economics, probably not helped by the fact that we were on the computers anyway. Not doing much in English which is annoying in a way; we don't have the anthologies as the teacher had planned to do a certain text instead but the edition we have to have is out of print.

I would find it very funny if all us 3 went to Glamorgan haha!
I have been filling out my UCAS form today and still improving bits of my personal statement .. there is so much to do for it, but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.
My school has an open evening on Thursday, so I've been preparing for that, as I am performing part of my A Level Drama piece along with the rest of my group in my Drama class... arguments are already beginning to emerge though within the group.
We had our open evening a few weeks back; a bit earlier than usual this year for some reason. We finished at 12 because of it so EMA better not take the backdate away for that. Bus pass payment due again tomorrow :wall: It's coming out of my inheritence because EMA haven't paid me.

30-09-2008, 23:06
I;ve finally sent off for my EMA. Yippee!
Haha not that I'll get backpay because I never get to form in time! Darn it!
I'll have to bribe my form teacher :D Haha
Anyways, my days been ok actually...
Did most of my RE essay in my frees and I feel all good about myself now lol
Then went to the shops for dinner with my friend and I heard kitten cries again! And so did she! So on the way back we were going to look but couldn't hear them :( I'm starting to think maybe it could of been rat babies or mouse babies or bird babies...?
Then tongiht we went to our friends house because his Mums on holiday and we watched Awake.. fair play it is PANTS! but had a good twist!
Haven't long got in and I'm shattered! I need to concentrate on Uni and Ucas and all.. but I really cannot do it, it's really difficult, I can't big myself up because there's nothing to big myself up with! Haha and the job hunting is not succeeding :( Gah, but apart from that little hiccup... good day :D

meh had a bit of a rubbish day today! :( firstly i was late for my lecture even though we left the house 25mins before it started (and it only takes 10mins normally to drive up there) as my housemates car was blocked in and we didnt know whos car it was, then we got stuck at the train crossing, and then for some reason there was a huge jam getting into uni, and then i swear it took me about 10mins to get to the room as i was just walking down corridor after corridor lol! the lecture was ok though. then i had to go and pay my rent and my card wouldnt work even though i had enough money in my bank! anyway to cut a long story short as i cant be bothered to write it all now lol i have to wait for a new bank card as the bank have now cancelled my one! then i had cheerleading which i was really looking forward to as it was our first practise since weve been back but it was so boring cos they had to teach the freshers all the basics and so we had to do it all too!

School was good, I'm getting on track with work and I feel alot more confident in my lessons :)
Got home and it was nag nag nag nag nag, I cannot do anything right I tell you! So that hasn;t been very good.. and then to top it off my Nan throws somethign in about what her and my Mum were saying about me, seriously.. when they together all they do is slate me! Yet when I'm talking to either of them they're nice as pie! Grrr
But then Pride of Britain awards came on so that's been lush :) I love them soo much! The people are jsut sooo brave!
And then my friend asked me if we should all go on a girly holiday for like 3 days to Pontins n Brean sands 27th-30th December so I am literally buzzing!
2 of the girls are 18 so we have people to get in the booze and be our "adults", and it's only £33.88 each! Bargainnn :D
So now I'm in a really really good mood! I jsut hope it goes ahead!

today i dont have any lectures/seminars but i had to go up to campus to meet up with this girl to do our presentation, we didnt get very much done! then had a meeting which was pointless, i hate beginning of year meetings! although got a free lunch as we waited over 1hr to get our food so they gave us a refund! just come back now from going out, it was quite an alright night though the prices have gone up! :(
Very upset and worried, a friend of mine has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is today finding out how far it has spread and what treatment she will have to have. :( Were looking forward to celebrate her husband's and my OH's birthday on Saturday but, understandably, they have called it off.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend i hope shes ok.
What uni you at Tori? Getting you up at 10 thats a bit harsh. I got a lecture in an hour so am going to blow dry my hair then head down to the arts building. Oh the joy! European Law!

I am really sorry to hear about your friend Perdita. I hope she recovers and gets the right treatment.
The other day, I got invited to an 18th party from this girl who is in my year. I only speak to her every now and again and don't know her particularly well, and the people going I don't really hang around with, so I don't know whether I should go or not...
There's also a camping trip that I got invited too on the same night.. hmm I will have to decide.

Good day :) Actually finished an essay on time, I need to type it up but that won't take me long.
Dancing was good too, everything was jsut relaxed and like.. calm :)
Really good day!
My friend has had tests done and luckily the cancer has not spread. She is going into hospital on Monday to be operated on next Wednesday, not sure yet about the extent of her surgery, but at least the news were not as bad as feared to start with. Thanks for your good wishes, guys, means a lot to me. :)
Thats good news, its the initial shock thats scary when you first hear the C word.
I am going home for the weekend. I have some concerts and people to see, so get it over and done with then i wont need to go back for a bit. But a single ticket is 6 quid with my rail card which i am really impressed with.
WIll also swing for my house mate if he turns the heating off one more time when someone has switched it on! Its driving me crazy! i thiknk the space will do us both good!

thursday i had a seminar which was ok, we just watched loads of comedy clips! i had to buy a book to read for next week and i had to get it in the campus bookshop cos otherwise i wouldnt get it on time, it costs a fortune in there and i was in the queue for at least half hour! and thats adding to the 1hr 20mins it took me to get up to uni cos of the stupid buses!
yesterday i didnt have to go anywhere cos i dont have lectures on friday and cheerleading was cancelled cos the sports hall was being used for some uni fair or something. so i stayed in my pyjamas all day lol and just lazed around a bit though i did finish tidying my room so that was good!
today im gonna try and do all the reading i have to do and start my presentation

i hate it when that happens! we were always getting told off for our kitchen being messy when i lived on campus!

I have had quite a mixed few days. From wednesday to friday i was away with 20 other s6 pupils and 2 teachers on a residential retreat. We learned about relationships with ourself, others and God (it wasn't holy in the slightest part from saying a prayer in the morning and at night). It was really good and it was a mixed group of us that went and some people hadn't spoke to each other before and not spoke to people in years and we all became a lot closer. On the last day we had to write notes to each other saying good things so you got 21 notes in total and they are so lovely. One of the teacher says he still has his from his s6 reatreat and if you are ever down you sholud read them and it will give your self-esteem a boost. But then when i got back i got dropped straight off at the hiardressers and got my hair done and i was in a really good mood but when i was leaving i noticed i had missed calls from my mum so i phoned and it turns out my grandad had died that morning. It was expected though as he had been in hospital for weeks and everyone thinks its better off.Rather was a damper on my good mood but i was still quite happy which was weird i suppose and at night me and my mum still went to a charity race night as the money was for my little cousin bu my dad didn't go(it was his dad).Sorry for the long post lol

Sorry to hear about your grandad Emma-Lou.
Week was pretty boring really. Had 2 tests in Psychology, 1 of which we didn't have any warning for. Wasn't particularly pleased with my score (28/36) but I somehow managed to get higher than my friend who was warned about it. Second was on a booklet, the contents of which has nothing to do with the unit we're taking in January which was quite annoying.
I had 3 frees on Thursday as I have the same teacher on that day for Applied Business and Economics but she wasn't in. I saw her on Friday and she said she nearly didn't go in then either; that would have meant the same again if she didn't lol!
Have a project to do and some other homework but I'm so tired, I can't wait until half term now!
Sorry to hear about your Grandad Emma, it takes a while to sink in. When I was told my Gran had died I was just like "right" as it had been expected and she'd almost gone two weeks before that. It's a bit harder to believe that she's never coming back now than it was then.

Thanksfor your comments all :).And yeah Perdita i think you are right as we won alot of the races and prizes that night we seemed to be really lucky pur family kept telling us to stop winning everything.Yeh Kim when my mum told me i was just like oh as he hasn't been the same for about a year now.Its only when i think about what he was like with me when i was younger i get a bit upset.
This week has been fabby. Don't normally say that but yeah had a fab week, currently on work experience at my old primary school and it's a blast, Lorraine and Angie just make me giggle so much it's unbelivable. (The office staff, that's where i am in the office:P). All the teachers now recognise me and it's great to see them all again several have been married and i've found out my old P7 teacher is married and has a baby boy.
Friday night i went out for my mate's 18th, actually didn't drink alot cause i didn't want to head back to my gran's drunk, but it was a great evening intill i had to walk home from tesco on my own at like 10.20 cause kerry wanted to stay with Grant, Jonny and Martin  . But i phones steff and we had a great chat.
Yesterday i didn't do much, met up with friends at night and went to Dalgety Bay sports centre which was a laugh. But also found out one of my best friends likes the same boy as me and she doesn't really know him properly and i don't know what to do.
Today i've just been lazing about really.
Off down to London on thursday night with My best mate, Her dad lives down there and that'll be a laugh. Might be meeting up with steff to but i'm not to sure about that. All chuffed through.

Grr I hate school!
Apparently our Sixth Form Block was a "disgusting" mess.. so much so that the cleaner wouldn't clean it up, and she's pregnant... which is fair enough. But now they've closed the Block until Thursday which is soo stupid!!!I put my rubbish straight in the bin.. so it's just unfair that everyone has to suffer because of the stupid people who are too lazy to put rubbihs in the bin but instead think they;'re funny to throw it about! It's horrible.. we have to sit in the freezing cold canteen now with the smelly little chavs running about during lesson time and I just cannot concentrate! :(
Dancing was good again :) It's slowly getting better. It'll get all stressful again soon but for now it's stable.. it's the calm before the storm lol.
My house is all weird tongiht :( My Garnch is working away for the week so it's just me and my Nan.. it's odd without him. My Dad and Uncle are working away with him too so it's jsut me Mum Nan and my Aunty... and the kids! I don't like it :(

From then on my day got worse. I was the last person to arrive to my media lesson today so the teacher made me analyse a still image in front of the class and i just ended up saying stupid things and the whole class ended up laughing at me and the teacher said "everyone remind me not to pick this boy to answer a question again" :o I've never felt so embarrased in my life. I was going to walk out but I kept my cool, just thinking how dumb am I! .. but I have Media again tomorrow and I can't face going, even if that does sound a little ridiculous.

Friday had my sister and her 2 kids here for the day had my nephew for the night...
saturday my mum moved house so i was helping her for the day...
sunday just went down to my other sisters and played on her nintendo wil
Awh Kirsty, that sucks. I couldn't cope without the common room, I'm never out of it at break time! Ours is always a mess too. We've had so much of it that one of the Year 13's was so worried about us all being chucked out that she put a sign on the doors and all around the common room saying, "Keep this area tidy or we will be kicked out." It's some Year 12's causing all the problems, I think. It was all nice for the first few days and then got messy; guess the novelty wore off.
25/25 in other Psychology test :D Thought I'd messed it up.

We've done that too, there's a sign on the door as you go in saying "Please respect the block to avoid closure :)"
I guess they took no notice! Thing is, there's one specific group who leave a mess EVERYTIME! Their corner was an absolute state on Friday! and they ahve cups of tea and jsut leave it expecting us to wash up!
I suppose we should get off our high horses and jsut clean up if we want to stay in the black.. but I don't see why we should pick up after them.. they wouldn't treat their houses liek that! And we ahve washed their cups up before jsut to get it out of the way...but it's not appreciatedand they keep doing it!! I've got a good mind to see my Head of Year about it.. liek sort out some sort of rota that people check on it at the end of school or whatever, I jsut think its unfair being kicked out.. the librarys never open and it's way too difficult to concentrate in the canteen when there's little kids running about winding you up...We're trying to pass A Levels! It's not exactly easy at the best of times! Let alone being thrown out of our study area :(

Went to homebase after college with mum to get insulation stuff for physics. I got insulation for pipes, a pipe, and it was buy one get one free on loft insulation. Now I have two big bales. Hope the college wants the rest I don't use. Annoying this was, although they were buy one get one free they had a sign above it saying £4.99, so we assumed it would be £4.99. But it was £9.98 per roll. That's just blatant customer misleading!

Gahhh, i'm being bombarded with college application forms and prospectuses!
Thing is, I really don't know what I want to do when I leave college. I wanted to be a midwife since I was like 8, but then i've been thinking recently that it's not a very family-friendly job. Well for me I mean, like I really want to have kids and a family but have been told by people that this isn't the best job if you do :S then i was thinking maybe social care but don't wanna do that now. Then these last couple of months I was thinking about doing either zoology or being a vet, but I can't do the vet thing because i've been moved down in Maths, which I'm not bothered about, but I am bothered about the fact that I can't get above a C in my GCSEs because it's a foundation paper! Meaning that I can't go for Chemistry in college because you need a B or above   and you need Chemistry to get into Vet School. So now i'm reconsidering midwifery but I don't knowwww. Anyone got any ideas?
And i'm not happy now because at dancing we were doing jumps into the splits and i now have 2 beasty bruises on my knees. ):
Sorry, rant over!
That's so unfair! In my school because there's no intermediate any more the top two sets do higher and my friend ended up doing higher even though she was originally in Set 3.
There are places with lower entry requirements. My friend from another school did triple science at GCSE and came out with BCD. She's now doing Biology and Chemistry at 6th form. She only needed a C in Maths for that.
My friend applied to a college at as a back up that would allow her to study A Level Maths with a C at GCSE. If there's anywhere near you that does that they should allow Chemistry with a C, since it's got to be easier mathematically than doing Maths.

Grrrr, school is so annoying!
In assembly this morning our head of year babbled loads of rubbish about the rubbish in the Sixth Form Block that it's closed until Thursday end of.
THEN! He turned aroud and said "I've had complaints off the canteen staff too that you Sixth Form have left all the mess in there too, and if I get one more complaint off them we'll throw you out of the canteen aswell".
NOT BEING FUNNY! The WHOLE of the school is in that one tiny canteen... you should see the mess they ahve to clean up when we're not even in there! Yet they don't have a choice but to clean that up! Anyways! After break today all the tabl;es Sixth Form (or at least Year 13) was sat at... was absolutely spotless! They can't blame jsut Sixth Form for the mess in the canteen when there's kids throwing food at each other! Then you walk down the hallways and there's pasta all up the wall and sandwichs smushed into the floor! Hellooooo?! I think our school needs to sort out their priorities! Grrr
End of rant..sorry.
Anyways, my days been ok apart form that :) Went out for a drive tonight with some friends and did some english work which is good :)
Still have access to the Sixth Form block luckily; if some friends of friends don't grow up I can imagine us being thrown out of there soon though. One of them is doing English and Maths retakes plus a BTEC in Business because she got a B in Art and the rest E's at GCSE. She and this other girl doing a couple of A Levels and a Maths retake keep having childish fights, pushing each other's chairs across the common room and throwing food at each other. One's decided as they have to do a presentation in her Media A Level class that she wants to drop it; it's not like she's being assessed on it even if she doesn't want to do it. I don't like them but I had one yesterday in Economics.. it was rubbish.. oh well.
At break time we got to the common room a bit late and ended up with the most dodgy table in there. My friend pulled out a chair and the whole table came down! She didn't realise the table was relying on the chair.
Assembly today, I wonder what other complaints we will get. Not done much work last night, I don't seem to do much at home at the moment. Better do some when I get to school before lessons.

I don't think you do for midwifery but when I was looking into being av et I would have. But talking to the midwives on SMS last night, I've decided that I am going to do it. The only reason really that I didn't want to was the whole family thing and also I really didn't want to do 3 years basic nursing and then go into midwifery, but quite a few of them on SMS reccommended the direct route. Which is all good (:
Are internet is playing up, it doesnt surprise me as everything else in the house is falling apart! Just trying to do some work, finally found some peace and quiet.
Another day of immaturity in the 6th form block. Friend of a friend went to the printer in the common room and got a stack of paper out of it. She wrote boo hiss boo and other random messages on the paper, one word to a sheet, and held them up for her friend. When she'd finished she turned them upside down and shoved them back in the printer! Now someone's going to print out their work and find random words on the back of it. It's very wasteful as well; school are clamping down on printing stuff we don't need and if we use up our printing allowance we have to pay to print more stuff.

our internet keeps losing its connection! its really annoying and i dunno why its just decided to start doing it as it was fine last year!
Songs I got off iTunes tonight won't go on my stupid phone  Wrong type somehow, I've got ones on there that I got off iTunes before.
Finished one of my pieces of Business coursework, we're starting another in lesson tomorrow. Earlier I came into my room and turned the light on and the bulb went. I don't remember when I last had one but Mum asked me what I was doing with the bulbs because I didn't have a new one long ago. Dad went into the bathroom and then the light went off in here. The bulb had only gone in the bathroom as well! When one goes off it makes every light on that floor go out.

Haha we were allowed back in the Block today.. apparently we caused "too much of a disturbance" in the canteen yesterday so they had no choice but to put us back in the block. Ah well.. at least we're back in there ahah! :D
I made cookies today with my brother because I'm such a nice sister lol, and we made one giant cookie.. it was well lush! Aswell as some little ones too :)
Then I just went over my Mums for the evening as I haven't spent much time there this week, played on the Wii for a bit and then sata round and talked for ages :) Good night it was. Apart from when I was walking up to theirs and there was a drunk man walking behind me and it was really dark.. that was scary!
Good day in general, although I'm considering dropping Lit.. I'm jsut not interested one bit and don't even understand it anyways! But I don't want to risk jsut 2 A Levels trying to get into Uni Think I need to see the Careers lady!
Same Kirsty. Wouldn't be so much of a problem for me as this is AS but then that might put me at a disadvantage when applying to uni as most people will have more than 3 full A Levels. I like it some lessons and not others.. I don't know. I'm answering loads of questions in other lessons and getting excellent and stuff written on my work but in English something always seems to be wrong with everything. Teachers from other subjects have asked what I got at GCSE then what I'm taking for the rest of my options and they just look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them. The blocks were so annoying, I could have done Lang with the rest of my subjects if I was Year 13.
It was soooo funny just before tutor. My friend and I got there early and there was a boy in there who isn't in our tutor group. The warning bell went so he opened the window and said, "The bell has gone, please go to your tutor," in a really funny voice. He said other stuff like, "Please remove the pink scarf, it is not school uniform;" "That ball is not suitable for outdoor use, please buy a rubber one; thankyou!" There were two girls standing by the window talking and they weren't looking so he opened the window and screamed out of it and they jumped out of their skins! Just as he was saying that my tutor walked in! He turned round and was like, "Hello Miss, just asserting my authority." He got out of there pretty quickly afterwards! It might have been a case of you had to be there but me and my friend were laughing our heads off. He said he'd be back to do it again tomorrow, I'm so going to tutor early again!
At lunch some of our year went out onto the balcony. People who go out there usually leave a chair stuck in the door because you can only open it from the inside otherwise. Someone moved the chair because it was getting a bit cold and the lot on the balcony ended up banging on the door trying to get someone to let them in. Everyone was screaming at everyone else not to let them in and we found it quite funny.

Kim could you not drop it and pick up another one? I did that as I chose english lit to do, but decided it wasnt for me so changed it to health and social care and its 10 times better, so myabe you could ask about doing that
There's nothing else in the blocks really. The only ones they'd actually let me into would be Maths with Mechanics (didn't fancy that with Stats, let alone Mechanics because it's Physics based,) Film (I didn't like the film we did in Media for GCSE,) Philosophy and Biology which I don't want to do and RE in which I only like the sound of one of the modules and I'm convinced my liking for it at GCSE was down to the teacher I had .. it's all on exam and all in the June as well which I don't like the sound of either. So I don't know.. we're meant to speak to our tutors if we have a problem but mine's the head of English  She teaches half of the lessons and I spoke to her on the first lesson and she said it was better to have the A in Lang at GCSE but I don't know; I found out I was 6 marks off of an A in Lit and I did run out of time in the exam but I still feel like I'm rubbish at it compared to my other subjects.

deffinetly try and talk to someone, as it is better to change things now (if you want to) rather than leave it much longer, do you not have a senior tutor you can talk to?
I'm sorry to hear about your friend i hope shes ok.
What uni you at Tori? Getting you up at 10 thats a bit harsh. I got a lecture in an hour so am going to blow dry my hair then head down to the arts building. Oh the joy! European Law!
Sorry Katy, it never emailed me and I was busy. I'm at Aston in Birmingham and it seems to be going alright so far. I have freshers flu however...

See now, we have a boy in our year (whos in my form) who actually does that to people... but means it! He has problems we think but it's never really been sort of.. mentioned. But he acts ike a teacher and carries aclipboard around with him all day, telling all our year and the younger year to stop messing about get to lessons take jackets and that off... no joke seriously!
Aww today's been ok. I spoke to my English Lit/Lang teacher and explained that I was really struggling and thinking of dropping it. She was really understanding though and we both agreed I'd do the essay thats set and if I struggled alot with that then it's best I dropped it. So I feel alot better for that.
Dancing was actually really good tonight too :) But it's the calm before the storm what with the show coming up in like.. 3 weeks

i wouldnt worry too much about that tbh. some people might have 3 alevels and 1 AS but the majority of people wont have 4 or more alevels, some people dont even do 3 alevels. as long as you get the points you need from the alevels you do for the course that you want it doesnt matter how many alevels you took, it wont be a disadvantage just cos you only did 3, actually most unis prefer it if you dont do too many alevels. if youre struggling, its much better to drop a subject and concentrate on getting 3 good alevels than to carry on with 4 and not do very well

i agree, its easier to change subjects now as you wont have missed too much work than to wait til after xmas for example when you will have wasted time on the one youve dropped and missed half the course of another one you might want to pick up. also if you do want to drop a subject, as its so early on in the year and youre only doing ASs atm its best to try another one instead just in case you like it as you wont be that far behind and then if you dont like it then you can drop it
Feeling very rough the past two days, got a bad cold and can hardly breathe :( Still drag myself to work as OH has got man flu (a bit of the sniffles) and I get more peace and quiet at work
no worries Tori, glad your enjoying it though! I am just very busy i forgot how hard uni was! My cousins at Aston and my family live in Sutton Coldfield which is the town near it, i know the area well, very close to Birmingham which is a great city.

 That's taking it too far. This boy would never say that to people in the same year as him, it was just the novelty of us not being in uniform while the others are, I think. Me and my friend were about to go to tutor early when we noticed that this boy was too busy playing table football in the common room.
There's nothing else in the blocks that I would have to choose from that I want to do. There's not much point picking up something I only like the sound of 1 out of the 4 units of. I think I'll stay where I am until we really start on the poetry as that was always my best part of it. The teacher said she'd be shocked if we liked all of the stuff we did in it. I don't know if I'm struggling as such as it's only a few comments in margins but it might just seem like it to me because I'm used to getting 'excellent' and everything in the rest of my subjects. One boy's had to redo the whole of his essay. As there's nothing else I want to pick up from the blocks then I might as well keep up with it then if I still feel the same after we've done some more work then drop it and do the three or the three and an AS in something I can't get now next year. I spoke to my mum about it and she thinks it's a bit quick to be deciding as we haven't done much with one of the teachers at all.

today i went into town this morning to try and sort out my bank card and also bought a bday pressie for my mum

Ive had a really stressed out week, I really think I need help!
Taking on 4 a levels is hard work, but I love them at the same time. Im having a hard time with biology and I love devising our piece for drama :p Its just the other stuff that makes me worried like uni, and open days and choosing and time running out. Then work, then cello which I haven done since before the summer and then dancing and since the show a month ago Ive only been once and missed it today. Ive just been so stressed maybe I need to take something to help me,I dunno
The highlight of the week was seeing Cabaret :D I never knew what it was about so it was a shock, but sometimes its better when you dont know what its really about

awwww sorry to hear that abbie. i dont know if you do this already, but if you try and do your work as soon as you get it and do at least some work everyday rather than leaving it all to do at once, its actually easier then. i carried on with 4 alevels and just kept leaving my work til the last min and it was a rush to get it all done, for the first 2yrs of uni i was leaving all my work til the last min too and i ended up not doing most of it. this year ive been trying to do all the work when i get it and doing at least some a day and so far it seems to be working, ive managed to do all the work thats been set and it hasnt seemed that rushed even though ive had loads of it to do. also try and make the time to go dancing (i know its difficult when you have loads of work you need to do) as having a break from the work wont make you as stressed, i make sure i go to netball and cheerleading evey week even if i have loads of work and it really helps
I know, well I do leave some till last minute but Ive stopped now, but sometimes it cant be helped when I need to revise for biology tests which we have all the time. sometimes I just get so much work that I cant help but leave one piece till last minute.
I get what you mean about dancing but sometimes when Im there all I can think about it going home to do work or somthing, Ive already cut down to twice a week instead of three, but I might just to one now, cos it kinda clams me down when im not there, its odd
Plus we are doing exams now and not shows, which is gonna stress me out and I hate it. I just cant win!

Went to an 18th last night and had an amazing time :D
My finger is killing me now though!
My friend failed to see my finger as I was getting out of the car and slammed the car leaver which moves the seat back down on my finger and I have a gauge there lol. I hid her one shoe out of her bag though in the car and she thought she lost it at the place the party was at so we're even :D:lol:
Todays been up and down. Constantly being nagged by my Mum and Dad mainly to get a job...
I can see where they're coming from because I'm going to want a car and everything soon and I'm 17... but it's not as if I'm not trying! I've had 2 interviews and failed in both. Applied for no end of jobs and don't even get an interview, and dancing is dragging me down too. I see no point in asking for a job right now when I'm going to need like 2 weeks off in 2 weeks for the show. So I told them I'd be straight back on it when the show is over. Basically my ultimatum was dancing or work. :(
Then driving sucked! I hadnt had a lesson in a week because my instructor was on holiday. But he said I rush things way too much and I can see his patience is wearing thin wiht me now. I'm starting to really dislike driving! I'm starting to really dislike everything!
On the plus side, I did take my sister to town :) It's nice to have a little bit of responsibility with her on my own and to take her out of the way so my Mum can get stuff done in the house.

Yesterday me and my friend arranged for us to go to Barry, but then decided maybe we would leave it until half term when we could all go or something but he said he would let me know if we all ended up going anyways.
So I waited... and waited... and waited. I would ahve rung him but had no credit. So I just left it to the fact that we were going to wait until half term and that was that.
Then inb the night I text around my friends asking if they were out.. my best friend text me saying that 3 of the boys were over hers and if they went out she would text me, I was speaking to my other friend on line and he said he was supposed to be being picked up by the one boy (the one who arranged Barry with me) ina bit. So I text my friend back saying well that won't work because the car will be full and explained I'd jsut spoke to this other friend. And she said oh yeah forgot about him, sorry.. but I don't think we're even going to go out anyways. I wa sliek ok... but even so I didn't get an invite to my own best friends house, along with the other girls which annoyed me because she complains she never see's us anymore.
Thw worst part was that I found out they'd actually gone to Barry!.. and somehow forgot me! So I was annoyed because I was the one who came up with the idea... and I get forgotton! :searchme: :(
Today, jsut had dancing rehearsals... our teacher was surprisingly chilled and it went surprisingly ok...
Now tonight the friend that forgot me yesterday has invited me out... jsut because no-one else can I suppose. Don't know if I can be bothered anyways.

One of my uncles (mums brother), who I mentioned before has cancer... has taken a turn for the worse.. apparantly his immune system has shut down completely and he's picked up a nasty infection.. they're debating whether to operate or not.. or something :(. Not completely sure what's going on there! And yeah, mum and dad are away this week :D yay.. but mum wants me to phone/text her if anything happens with my uncle.. I just hope he doesn't die this week, as I won't know what to do...
Same place as covonia; her *cough* slightly *cough* random head!
 I think you need to be locked away!
Kidding :D

Not had the best day today... got a phone call last night at about 1 (so this morning).... uncle has died :(. Not majorly close to him.. but he's my mums brother, and he is family. Seems everyone is dying. :( He died of the same thing his daughter did, so I think that's worse, spesh for his children, and his wife!
Then went to college... got thrown out of one lesson. For wanting to go to the loo! WTF! We were messing about a little at the beginning of the lesson, and then I needed the loo, so asked, and she was like no, you've been muckin about too much... and I was like, well I really need the loo, and she said if I go then don't come back, so I was like fine **** it, and walked out. It's my time of the month, what am I supposed to do? Sit there feeling dirty cause of her? Don't think so! I disliked her before, but now I'm beginning to hate her! My other lecturer stuck up for me though (not to the other ones face), but she was laughing about it. I reckon my tutor will have a small go at me though. But I don't care.
And yeah.. had really bad period pains all day, so that just topped the day off to a tee.

I hate teachers like that. Especially women ones, they should understand!
I felt like crying in Chemistry today, why do I need to get the same teacher this year who doesn't care whether we pass or fail?

Omg what an eventful day! I can hardly type this.. I'm shaking like mad!
I got into an argument witha girl.. well 5 I suppose in school today.
Somethign happened this morning (I've apologised for maybe going on the wrong facts) but this other girl who is in my form so I'm quite friendly with was really really upset because her group of friends weren't talking to her.
Apparently something happened over msn and personal questions were asked to this girls boyfriend and he said he wouldn't answer and these girls were saying it's disgusting.. I don't really know now. Anyways...
We were washing up the disgusting mess in the block in our frees because it was like... sick basically. And behind us was the group of girls all talking and laughing, but then the one girl, the main culprit in the whole being horrible thing started talking baout the girl who's really upset.. but she was stood by me and her eyes were welling up, and this girl was talking loud enough so that she could hear it... but not actually saying it to her face, which wound me up.
She also said "oh why have they washed up... we're going to smash the cups up anyways"... That wound me up more! No way was she smashong cups up that I'd bloody slaved away all morning cleaning! :wall:
Then English came and these 5 girls (including the main one) were on about it and laughing and being horrible so I jsut let rip. I asked them why they were being mean and they said I didn't know the whole story (which is fair enough) but they all said "she's the one being petty and not saying what she thinks to us... it's not us being bitchy" which completely gave me ammo, and I was jsut like... "well you're all doing exactly that now! Talking about her behind her back, jsut say it to her face if you ahve something to say" and I said to the girl about talking in the block and how upset she was and this girl said "yeah, so.. I said it loud enough so she could hear.. I did that on purpose!" So I was like... well jsut tell her to her face then! Don't be such a coward, to which she replied "You don't know either of us well so just shut up". Which isn't completely true. I know the horrible girl quite well.. shes drifted in and out of friendships alot and she's a troublemaker. True I'm not so friendly with the upset girl.. but I've never known her be in arguments.
Then walking home they'd ran to tell this girl who's like a year older and isn't even in our school... so she came out and called me back and started on me.. asking me why I had a go at her friend (a different girl) so I had to justify myself to her even though I don't see why... IU didn't aim it at HER friend n particular... I aimed it at them all! and omg Grrrrrrrrrr.
I jsut think it's so unfair how they're quick enough to talk behind her back, especially while she's there! That's jsut blatant bullying which is ironic because the main girl is on this no bullying scheme. I wasn't having it though. No way.
Rant over... really really sorry I don't expect you to read all of that at all but I needed to get it off my chest before I actually go mad!
Good on you to stick up for the upset girl though, even if you don't know her well. I am sure she was glad that you were around. Well done.

I feel proud of myself for sticking up for her... I did at the time anyways.
I think maybe I shouldn't have stuck my nose in, but I've been in her situation before and it's horrible to think you have no friends, no support or anything.
I apologised for maybe getting facst wrong and going on what I did apparently know, btu there is no way I will apologise to the girl who is being completely horrible about her, it's absolutely disgusting and this girl is on an Anti-Bullying scheme... she should practice what she preaches!

I think you did the right thing as well. I bet many other people would have turned a blind eye to the bullying that was going on, which would have made the girls think it was ok for them to carry on. Well done for taking the initiative and sticking up for her. I bet she was very glad that you were there to support her.

Then we had just over an hour of shopping in the city center (not nearly enough :p). We were all shocked to see 2 starbucks in one street . WHY:lol: not that I'm complaing. Starbucks = luuurve!

It's ridiculous these days. There's this girl who bullied me non stop for a year and a half and got 1 day internal isolation for it. She's never stopped with her little digs and she's still doing it in 6th form; now they've started up peer mentoring where you meet with Year 7's who aren't fitting in very well and talk to them.. they're actually letting her do it!
Good on you Kirsty. It's not a nice situation to be in and having had people stick up for me in public like that I've found it really means a lot to the people concerned; at that kind of time it makes you think that the whole school's against you.
Quite annoyed today, but then I got home to find I've won £50 on premium bonds. I think that was the first draw my numbers were in :D
There's a new bus driver and if I'm not mistaken it's the taxi driver that I had a few years back who took the mick out of me. Anyway today the bus left early (again) and I almost missed it (again), which has been the case every day that driver's been doing it. He's leaving about 5 minutes early every day and because I'm disabled I struggle to make it to the other end of the school by the time he leaves. My tutor's now had to give me her mobile number so she can take me home if I end up missing the bus one day.
Bus got around the corner today and an inspector got on. It's at one entrance to the school so it's really busy at that time and he's blocking up the road and taking all day about this inspection. 4 people didn't have tickets and started claiming that they were never given them and it took ages.. in the end the inspector took the registration number and off we went. We get into town and the driver's making us show tickets and passes again, saying that he could lose his job because it looked like he'd fiddled the company out of £2.40 or something. He sorts that out and sits there for a while when no one's allowed to get on it anyway, so I don't see the point.

Thanks everyone for all your kind comments, I wondered for a while if I was in the wrong for getting involved but after thinking about it, I'm glad I stuck up for someone that needed a friend :)
Anyways, as if my day couldn't get worse... it did!
Dancing was awful!
But not actual dancing, jsut the costumes. Apparently we had to take all our costumes but our teach said to only take 2.. so we did. However, 2 of the people (they're twins) had all their costumes, and the girl said it was only because her younger sister had to take hers that their Mum knew they had to have theirs too. Which is really really sly because their Mum works in my school! She sees me almost everyday! She could of told me and 2 others we needed to take them and then the others go to the same school so they could of all been told by the twins and then the other girl i could've told because I always speak to her on msn! But ohhhh no. They kept it on the quiet and all of us got into trouble for it instead didn't we! :thumbsdow
I'm sick of feeling like this so I'm going to cheer up and watch telly in bed and finish my RE with a cup of tea :)
Again, sorry about my rants!

yeh i know, its just cos i do it at least 3 days a week so normally thats the only interesting thing ive done all day! and yeh it is really fun :D although i hate one of the coaches but she wasnt there today so that was good! so all of us and the other coach were bitching about her lol!

 I just woudnt be able to function with that little sleep, I dunno how you do it!
I didnt mean to sound like your mum :p
i dunno how i do it either lol! i managed 9hrs of sleep last night and feel so much more tired than i did the other days!
I have to have a decent about of sleep otherwise I do start falling asleep during the day :rotfl:
i can go 2 whole nights without sleeeping at all and can stay awake although im not completely with it. however i much prefer it when i get to sleep! if there were enough hours in the day id easily sleep 16hrs a day lol!
Do you get to do really cool stuff like lifts and all that :D :p?

you mean stunts? yeh we do. atm its a bit boring cos weve gotta teach all the freshers the easy stunts first, but im looking forward to moving on to the harder ones we did last year and then hopefully learning even harder ones as well! stuntings my fave part of cheerleading! :D

Aww, I always end up doing work late at night, and Ive stopped going to dancing at often as I did, and then I told my friend I went on the internet to check out what my new contacts were, like well more info on them. And she was like 'You have way too much time on your hands, and you say you cant come to dancing'
It annoyed me cos It was only that thing, and ok, lately Ive been doing sbbb  but I did my work whilst on there and it was ok, if I hadnt have done sbbb I would still have lots of work to do and cut down on dancing, I just dont enjoy it like I used to
When I go to uni, I want to find somewhere where I can do some ballroom like jive and all that, Ive always wanted to do that and I think it will be more fun :p

i always end up doing my work late in the evenings even when i plan on doing it during the day (like now lol!) i always make sure i have time to go to every training/match for netball and cheerleading, its good to have a break from work! ive not been out as much this year though cos of all the work, only been out properly 3 times since ive been back and 2 other times ive been out and come home really early which is depressing! im trying to do all my work this weekend so i can go out twice next week to make up for it lol!

erm ill try and explain lol!
- straddle sit: the flyer (the person who is being lifted) sits with their legs apart in a straddle, the 2 bases (people who are holding the flyer up, 1 on either side) support/hold the flyers legs at chest height, and the backspot (the person basing at the back) holds the flyers bum at chest height (so that the flyer is basically sitting on their hands
- extended straddle: the same as above but everyone (apart from the flyer) extends their arms straight above them
- prep: the flyer is standing, legs shoulder width apart, on the hands of both bases, at the bases chest height (each base holds 1 leg each), the backspot holds onto the legs from the back (either the thighs or ankles), and the front spot holds on to the ankles at the front
- extended prep: same as above but everyone arms (apart from the flyer) are straight up in the air, the backspot holds onto the flyers ankles or under the wrists of the 2 bases
not sure how well im explaining these, ill try and find some pics of all the stunts weve learnt instead
wow that sounds very cool :D :p

wow that sounds very cool :D
it is! :D
ok ive found some pics on the internet, some of them arent the best lol but i didnt wanna put any of my pics up
thigh stand

straddle sit (ignore the kids sitting on the floor!)
http://aescougarcheer.com/images/0708/straddle.JPG
extended straddle (the middle guys arms should be straight)
http://z.about.com/d/cheerleading/1/0/F/C/jets_straddle.jpg
prep (the 2 outside bases should be a lot closer together, couldnt find a pic with a front spot but you dont always need one for a prep, it can be done without a frontspot)
http://www.cheerleadingcoachescorner.com/prep.jpg
extended prep/extension (the girl on the lefts hands should be more under the flyers foot) - sorry this pics so big!
http://home.lagrange.edu/cheerleading/2004-2005%20pics/homegames/home19.JPG
coupe (couldnt find a pic but its the same as an extended prep apart from the flyers feet are together)
hitch (like with the prep, you can have a front spot but its not compulsory)
http://www.sudburygymnastics.com/images/245_pics_376.jpg
aww wow, those pics look cool
I woke up this morning in my clothes from last night on my bedroom floor, apparently it was a good night last night although i have been in formed i was talking to police offices and i told one of my lectuirers i fancied him as he was in the student union. That could be embarrasing come monday. Finally tidied my room, i had to as my dad is coming up on saturday and now need to work but someohow ended up on soa[boards.

pics continued (sorry to anyone else for taking up this thread lol!)
lib/liberty (again can have a front spot but not compulsory)
http://www.freewebs.com/candice_bollivar/my%20lib.jpg
you can do other stretches in this stunt/position apart from a lib, such as scorpians, scales, bow and arrows, arabesques, heel stretches etc but we dont do those yet as my housemate is the only flyer in our squad flexible enough to do those positions! the website below has pics of them though)
shoulder sit (we usually do handstand into shoulder sit where the flyer does a handstand against the bases back, the base holds the flyers leg over her shoulders and the flyer pulls herself up using her stomach muscles into the shoulder sit)
http://z.about.com/d/cheerleading/1/0/b/G/ozark_shouldersit_m.jpg
deadman (couldnt find a pic of a deadman but basically the flyer is lying flat on their back and the bases, backspot and front spot are holding the flyer up from underneath so the flyer is lying on their hands; to extend it, everyone apart from the flyer straightens their arms so the flyer is above them)
chair (we started learning this at the end of last term but found we werent strong enough to do it lol! one of the american footballers managed to do it though! so we are now doing an assisted chair which is the same as the pic but there is an extra person helping the base get the flyer in the air by holding onto their wrist of the hand which is under the flyers bum)
http://www.case.edu/orgs/cheerleading/images/chair.jpg
cradle (cant really describe this with words/pics but the website below has a video of one, scroll down til you get to "cradle" theyre in alphabetical order! although the bases shouldnt be moving around when you do a cradle, you should stay standing where you were at the beginning) - hope im allowed to post this link

it is lots of fun! :D i wanna hurry up and learn lots of new exciting stuff though! but atm we are spending our time doing lots of conditioning instead which i hate! :(
also we did a pyramid at our competition (exactly like the one in the pic), forgot to add it in my other post, just thought id post it cos i love doing pyramids lol!
http://z.about.com/d/cheerleading/1/0/M/b/Clio_pyramid.jpg
though i think we need some guys on our squad to make it easier and so we can do the more spectacular pyramids!
Ooooo! :p are one of the people that go in the air or you one of the strong people that support the people

Ooooo! :p are one of the people that go in the air or you one of the strong people that support the people
last year i was a back spot as i thought i was too weak to be a base lol and front spots are boring! cos we are all girls i think im too tall to be a flyer but one of my housemates (i live with 3 other cheerleaders!) is convinced they are going to fly me this year (not really sure why cos there are loads of really small freshers, and 3 out of the 5 flyers from last year are still here) but ive flown before at our open trainings and its really fun and im not bad at it either after i got over the scaryness of it lol! i had to base on friday and i dont really like it although i found out i am strong enough to do it this year! if we manage to get guys on our squad though then id love to be a flyer! ill probably/hopefully just stick to being a back spot this year though as im good at that and know what im doing lol!
