Yeah the skies are really blue
At college today the sounds the winds make against the windows its soooo scary!
Congrats on making the 2000th post in this thread Abbie!
It's very noisy here too. Not particularly nice being on the 5th floor of a building with gales.

It's not that windy here :s. Bit chilly.. but quite a nice day actually :D. *touches wood*
Aww wow thanks, I didnt even notice till you said
I was on the 7th floor in these winds  its horrible
Weather is horrible where I live too, very windy and earlier there was thunder and lightning. Some areas are to have snow in the night and first thing tomorrow :(
OMG, my neighbours double garage is on fire. Was not able to move my car becaus two more fire engines arrived, but I think it is safe anyway. It is my works car anyway, but I need to go on a business trip tomorrow and the car will stink of smoke :( Looks like the fire brigade has got it under contro but it is still smoking thickly.
Oh very dear Perdita  I hope there isn't too much damage to your neighbour's garage and car.
Apparently, the 13-year-old son was playing with fire and hurt himself, slinging whatever he had set fire to into a corner. Did not realise the fire had not gone out and that is how it all started. One cellar room and of course the double garage are totally gutted. The stored wood for the open fire in there too. My car is ok. Luckily, nobody got hurt but I heard that the damage will cost around Euro 150,000 to put right again, but will the insurance pay up?
The insurers may pay up if it were accidental, its difficult to tell
I am in the library, i am in holiday mode and just cant seem to motivate myself to finish my essay. I really dont care about it.
Got to pick my modules as well, really cant decide what to do, I have a load of choices to make and i hate making decisions.
Had my last ever drama performance exam today, unit 5, I think it went really well, cant believe its over really!!!
Happy that its over at last cos one member, well 2 members the director was crap and this other girl wasnt any good too, but im sad that, that was our last one

It's her birthday next week. And me and my other mate are organising it... have been for a while... I just hope she's going to be well enough to go out and get wasted :p Thinking we may need to plan a plan B.. of going round hers with lots of dvds and wine :p.
well Im sure she would like either of those :p
What a busy day. Group meeting which was a waste of time. We didn't have all the information to write up so we're meeting again tomorrow.
I've been out campaigning for the union since 3pm, just got in. I'd love to carry on tonight but I have to be up in morning. Been across to Stafford, we've got a lot of support there.
Good end to a bad day. Corruption within the union and the people running the elections, collusion, illegal campaigning, sabotage, the list goes on. It's not just the opposition, some people on our slate have acted unethically (although they'll never admit it).
There's a chance that after all the campaigning the election will be voided on Friday and rerun if things are still unresolved.
Shower then bed :)

I'm having a rubbish time lately. I really just want to leave school and start all over again. Everything I seem to work for just goes down the pan. I can;t get on top of anything and everythings just getting to me now. Uni now seems like a waste of time because over the past few weeks I've had a complete change of career path so I'm all jumbled up on what to even do. Ugh and I have work later which I'm just not in the mood for at all.
Aww, Kirsty, we all feel like this at times, even if this statement is of little comfort for you at the moment. Perhaps you have been working a little too hard just lately and you are over-tired. Are you still doing all the shifts you were a while ago? Is there somebody you can discuss this with? That might be able to clear your mind a bit so you can focus on what you want to do in the future. Don't give up on uni, I am sure that things will sort themselves out for you. xx
Just skip past this post if you don't want to read me moan.
Today has been so up and down. I don't know what to feel at the moment.
We're so close to having the elections pulled. We've put so much energy into this campaign, we can't afford to let this happen. There's a smear campaign against us, saying we're going to ban alcohol, introduce sharia law, racism, islamaphoiba. We're all so fed up about it, these elections shouldn't be about mud slinging. Believe me, the mud is sticking.
I haven't slept for a week. I'm so wired, my head is so full of stuff that I can't sleep. The elections, memories and regrets the elections have brought up. My mum is in hospital too
Today I had a group meeting which ended badly. Five people trying to write a report, everyone wants to write it their way. We couldn't agree on anything so we have to meet again tomorrow to do it.
I feel I've pissed so many people off today. Our president has been really good and asked me if I was ok etc but I still feel bad for the rest of them. Before I left HQ I had a go at Sam in front of everyone.
I'd say I hope tomorrow will be better but the past week has just been one long blur. I don't even know what day it is, let alone string a sentence together.
I can't even cry. My emotions are shot to bits.

ive had a busy week. last friday i had to see my last show which i have to see for my modules. it was alright actually, quite funny in places, though it was on for ages so dragged a bit in places
saturday i went to see avenue q, it was so funny! i really want a bad ideas bear so i can blame everything i do wrong on it!
sunday my little cousin wanted to enter this talent show singing but she didnt wanna go on stage by herself so me and my sis had to make up a dance and teach her it and we danced at the back
monday came back to uni. at netball we played a shooting game and i won! dunno how, but i managed to get 5 goals in in a row from the edge of the circle
tuesday we had netball team photos. they decided to take them outside this year and it was so cold and took forever. i had an argument with the photographer as i forgot to put my shorts on so couldnt take my joggers off, i dunno what his problem was though cos i was gonna be standing at the back anyway
yesterday had cheerleading photos, my and my housemates were almost late and just as we left the house it started hailstoning really heavily!
today finished my reviews and stuff for my portfolio and handed it in, a day early i was impressed with myself! though my printer decided to play up so it printed in a variety of different colours!
tomorrow ive gotta go to london to look round theatres, really cant be bothered to go

Highly doubt it. I've completely changed from teaching... to therapy, like speech therapy. I don't know how I got there... I just did but my options just don't accomdate for it at all. I'm so messed up. I want to leave school and just start all over again.
I've had a better day than yesterday :)
Didn't have school as my teacher was off so I've just been dancing tongiht and went to a pub quiz afterwards (we lost miserabley, 13/50.. but the questions were silly :(, we didn't come last last though lol)
Ughh I so can't wait for the weekend

Rubbish day today.. well the college bit.. went on a trip... to where I work actaully lmao. But it's a rubbish place.. lol.. and they are rubbish... :p They treated it like a recruitment day lol.. loads of powerpoints and talking really lol.
But then met up with my other girls, from college,, but they never went today.. and went to the beach.. whic was the good bit :D.
My mate who was in hospital... so worried about her stil :( She saying she's still feeling really ill... and I'm on cam with her and she looks awful.. and she was saying the docs stil don't kow what wrong with her.. could still be bleed on brain or meningitis!! Her birthday next week.. and she said she not gona be ok to go out. So I'm gonna see other mates, see if we can't go round heres. She can't even get out of bed, can't move, because of her lumber puncture :( Bless her :(. So upset for her:(
Had a pretty good day today. The election is going to be a landslide, most likely in the opposition's favour :( We need ~ 651 votes to win. It is achievable, we have the whole international block voting for us, but after everything that's gone on this week... I don't think we'll win. Some students are facing disciplinary action and probably expulsion from the university for inciting racial hatred. Our president candidate has even been called a 7/7 bomber and a terrorist because of his religion.
We've sent a letter of complaint and concern to all the major unions, NUS, local, regional, national news, anti-fascist, anti-racist, pro black, Hate Racism groups etc. NUS annual conference next week too so it'll be brought up there as well. If the university won't listen to us then we have no option but to go public.
We've got a few things up our sleeve if things don't go the way we hope tomorrow.
I'm really pleased this is all over. We're all exhausted and fed up of fighting the smear campaign. The elections shouldn't be about spreading malicious rumours that we're going to have Sharia law, the union bars and clubs are going to be closed, racists videos and comments posted on the internet etc.
Had a really nice meal with a few people this evening :) Home next Thursday

Should your mate be out of hospital if she is still so very ill? Surely if the doctors suspect bleeding on the brain or meningitis, she should have stayed in hospital until they are sure about her illness? Hope she is going to be ok soon. :)

Is this kind of thing happening at other unis too? Sounds like you had a real stressful time. Good luck with the election
No, it's not. We've had students from Goldsmiths campaigning with us this week, who are also part of the SWP. They said they have never known so much racism take place and the union not step in.
The university have stopped the count this morning pending an investigation. I just hope they don't pull the elections because it's over for us. Our president candidate won't stand again at this university.
Amazing what public pressure from trade unions can do
The university are refusing to count the vote until the investigation has been concluded, which could take weeks. As it's the weekend and NUS conference next week we won't know the results for at least 10 days.
We considered occupying the union to force them to count but as it's the weekend, it would have little effect on them. It's all set up to go though, toilets, showers, kitchen, sofas, tv, internet. Couldn't find a better place to occupy :D
This week has been such a blur, I feel rather lonely sat in my room alone. I've been around so many people in the campaign house until the early hours every day doing things and now I don't know what to do with myself.

today was pretty boring. had to be up early to go to london to visit some theatres. my lecturer told us to buy travelcards cos we would be going on the tube then he made us walk to all of them so i wasted £6! then had cheerleading which was stressful cos this girl has decided to quit uni so we had to redo the whole routine and our competitions in 2 weeks!

Most of the courses for speech and language therapy I've come across are mainly 5 GCSE's grade C or above... 2 of which must be maths and english language.
Aswell as 3 A2 levels, typical offer is 260 points... one of the subjects has to be a science like Biology or psycholgy.
UWIC ask for an additional language other than english too.
Aww haha they didn't even give out losers prize :(
Tonight was fun :) my friends parents ahve gone away for the weekend so me and 2 of the girls went to hers and we went to Asda and bougth the meal for 1 on Indian/Chinese each for £3.50... bargain! I was stuffed!
We bought sweets and cherry brandy and lemonade and then they made me watch HSM 3 :(... but it was fun :)

Awwww sounded well cute :p. I wasn't there, but I heard the story.

In a bit of a pickle :p. Had induction for another job today... I start that job next Saturday... but my job I got now... house have been put up for Easter... so... so don't know how I'm going to quit. hahah. Just need to make something up :| but what :p.
What do you mean house has been put up for easter?
Been on a road trip with Sam today. We had lots of fun and laughs and had a Q&A session on the train. Went to the Saturday church service at Coventry Catherdral then to his mum's house for tea. We were going to his house but didn't have time.
Tomorrow Sam is being inducted onto the local church council so I'm going to go watch that. He hasn't invited his girlfriend :ninja: She's really jealous of our relationship so I don't know how she's going to take that.
Someone said to me yesterday that we should get together but it's like we're already married, minus the intimacy.

Not good day; coming home from work - was going down a road that was incredibly windy, went round a really tight corner, steered too late and ended up in a really thick hedge  The car was like in the bush, reversed out and part of the bumper fell off - flipping brilliant. The front left of the car is pretty screwed, and you can't open the bonnet because its smooshed and wont open - and the lights broken :(
I was giving a girl from work a lift home too - it was horrible, i felt so bad i've never crashed or anything like this before. But we are both okay so thats the main thing! Its horrible though, i feel like ive let everyone down, i dont know if i even trust myself with other people in the car now - i want to, but i feel like they wont trust me etc - i am a good driver, but its just one of those things :|

I'm really worried about someone :( He's going to Blackpool tomorrow for NUS conference until Thursday and I'm concerned he might do something. I've been with him tonight and he keeps saying he wants to kill himself. I know a few people who are going but they don't know half the stuff he's told me and what state of mind he's in.
I do honestly think that he could walk off the pier or do something similar. He tried ringing NUS earlier to see if I could go as his carer/helper (he has a disability) but it's too late. I was crying earlier because I know he's capable of doing it and I'll be three hours away from him.
Two presentations to give tomorrow :( I really can't be bothered.
I am sure he will be ok, Abigail. xx

today ive got a seminar in a bit and i think weve got a guest lecture in so hopefully in should be interesting. then ive gotta hang around for 1hr til cheerleading where we are gonna be practising stunting for the whole 2hrs so should be fun. then gotta wait around for another hour til the netball agm and voting for the new committee, glad ive got loads of work to do in those times though i hate sitting in the library!
It is April Fool's Day today, I rarely play tricks on anybody though, I usually always forget until it is afternoon:lol:
Do any of you play April Fool's jokes on your friends and family?
Not feeling like joking today - hubby has had a 10% pay cut imposed. Had to let the cleaner and gardener go, and reduce health club membership to one (it was kind of stupid being a member of both David Lloyd and Banatynnes so that isn't a hardship really.)
I feel sorry for my cleaner, loads of her customers are in the same boat and it is really affecting her business badly.
Sadly this is an effect of the recession. Glad that hubby still has a job though, I hope that the pay cut is sufficient to keep his company going.
I will be suprised if they are still in business this time next year...:(

That sounds like a gorgeous house, made out of wood. When I was in Germany about five years ago I loved all the wooden houses. Very idyllic.
Hope it all works out.
Had a revision session this morning. Didn't wake up until half an hour before the lecture began. I've never got dressed so quickly (10mins).
Got to go hand some assignments in and print some things off in the library. Need to do some washing and then I'll start on the revision.
Only got a 1000 report to do over the holidays. Not sure I actually need to do it though. The lecturer is useless, he won't tell us anything and nobody knows what the portfolio is about.
Beautiful day today :) Bit muggy but warm enough to go out in a vest and cardi.

Just got the info on building my dream house in germany... it is made out of wood (actual trees) and it is very very cheap too 100K all inclusive!!:eek:

Yeah it is Euro's.. I am hoping I can get a Country to country transfer with my current job.. there is quiet a few offices in Germany.. .
Any chance of me getting a job in one of them? So fed up in my present one at the mo. :(

would love to but with budget cuts there is nothing doing
Abbie: it is something that has been on the back burner for a while, my partner is German and always wanted to go back but we would said we wait until our son is 6 and that time is approaching
Aww well Im glad your doing it then :) Can I ask why you waited till he was 6?
Finished school for easter today :D I won't see the light of day with all this work though. Going to stay with my dad's cousin again on Saturday so I have a big bag of work to take with me. Oh the joys!
Even have a piece of coursework to do, surely they should have set that ages ago  Psychology teacher set us a load of work to force us to revise his way. He got funny with me and these boys who didn't have a booklet that the other teacher gave out, as we'd left it in our folder of the other teacher's work and was like, "Well you might as well not be here." :(
And my Business presentation went badly. 14/50 marks that it was worth suddenly seems quite significant.

Wow Good luck on the move Shiv, hope everything works out well for you. How do the kids feel about moving to Germany.

Teachers don't know everything. Revise the way you want to, not the way your teacher says you should. Everybody works differently and your teacher should recognise that.

Congratulations on the move Siobhan :) good luck!
Ugh I thought things were supposed to get better when they've gotten so bad. Everything seems to be falling apart around me, at first it was school but now things are going wrong at home, it seems liek I have nowhere and no-one to go to clear my head. Nothing I say/do seems to help at home, and I can't do right in school either. I really do give up with everything now.
end rant.
I feel so low and down, not been like this for a long time. Work is soo frustrating at the moment and to top it all, I have just found out that on Monday and Tuesday next week there will be strikes all over the place and I need to go to meetings. I don't look forward to pass all the people on the gates :(

Ben is grand about it but Charley not so much.. she will miss her friends... Her dad said he would move close by too so she will still see him.. I can't get her to understand there is webcams, emails and ireland is only 2 hour flight away...

It's not like you to feel low.
I know how frustrating work can be - especially when things are not going as smoothly as they should, but you can only do what you can and you should go easy on yourself.
Strikes are awful, and it is horrendous having to go through picket lines - what country are you in at the moment? Is there any way the meetings can be rescheduled or relocated? Alternatively is video conferencing an option? If you absolutely have to go through the picket lines, just take any leaflets and be polite. It is often only when you try to make a dash for it that they get annoyed.
I live in Germany and the meetings cannot be rescheduled or relocated, I have done this once already and a couple of the people I need to speak to will not be around for a long time after Monday, next week is the only chance I have to make headway in the job. I need to pass the picket line to get out of my place of work, I hope to get in before they all converge. Still, it is a short week as Friday is Good Friday and I will have a long weekend.
I hate going through picket lines, it has happened to me a few times - once on the first day of a new job :( Thankfully, the pickets have been understanding and really just wanted to bring attention to their dispute rather than the violent picket lines we saw during the miners strike.
Also, most of them gathered in the morning, there were none left when I was leaving in the evening. They also were more interested in people going into work rather than those leaving, so if you get in early you should miss the worst of it.
I have no idea what picket lines are like in Germany, but you need to try to put it out of your mind and relax over the weekend.
Take care
x

Try and not let it get to you Perdita (however that may be difficult) Enjoy the weekend and try and not think too much about it.
I always find it helps whenever I am in a situation I don't want to be in, I look forward and think of the things I'm most looking forward too to give me a boost. Just think you will have a short week and Easter is just around the corner!
All the best :)

I took Marley to see Monsters V Aliens very funny film. Kiefer really sends himself up in this film, he plays and army general who advices the President and he says stuff like "you have to listen Mr President" not having a dig at 24 at all or am I looking too much in to it. Then got a phone call when I came home from my neice in law Claire. Claire and Gary my nephew are taken Marley to Haven in Blackpool on Wednesday but they phone to say they are taking her tomorrow until Monday as well they are going camping in the campervan down the east cost to Eyemouth and Haven at Seaton Sands, which is just outside Edinburgh so I am getting piece all weekend :cheer:
OMG!!!!!!! Today is going sooooooo slowly :(
Probably cos I have nothing to do.
I plan on doing some college work tomorrow since Im soooo bored today
I wish it would just hurry up and be 7pm when stuff that I watch is actually on the telly

I have not done much today got the house to myself as Marley is off with her cousins in the campervan for a few days, she phoned me earlier to say she was in the pub on the campsite and has cut her lip break-dancing.
Kirsty :]

Hope you don't get chicken pots it worse when your an adult, have you had them when you were younger. Marley always takes unwell on her birthday and christmas.

04-04-2009, 23:41
Nope never had them. I'm a carrier, so I usually get symptoms and then pass on the actual illness to someone else because I'm generous lol.
Oohh I love camping, I can't wait to go again this year
I went to see Macbeth last night in Manchester. It was really good. Tom from Waterloo Road was in it. He was playing Macduff and there were three of the case sat like 3 seats down from me supporting him, i got all excited!
Now i really do have to do some work, been putting it off for ages.
aww i hope your sister gets better soon Kirsty.

Well Ive had a fun morning  washing the dogs. It was ........entertaining bless them, but its much better for them now. At least it was easier cos we did them one at a time. then afterwards I had a nice shower, I didnt half smell!!
My voice is going. I sound funny haa apparently i sound like a man. Not funny when i can swallow!
I hope you get your voice back soon
I remember loosing mine, I lost it twice last year! I sounded like a man then a mouse but at times I tried to speak and well just nothing came out
I know how you feel and its not nice
I've had an excellent weekend. Me and Sam went to his home near Coventry on Friday night until this afternoon. Saturday was great, we went shopping, got drunk at 1.30pm in a really nice cafe and went to see his mum (who wasn't very nice to me). In the evening we had a lovely candle lit dinner of bangers and mash and another bottle of wine, then watched the worst film ever. We got to know each other more over our 'non-romantic' romantic dinner. He confessed that he really liked me before he got with his current (now ex) girlfriend. Our friendship runs too deep for anything to happen now.
One of the best moments was waking up this morning and just talking about things in bed. I didn't really want to come home, we could quite happily live together there.
We decided over the weekend that we're going to get a house with another friend. We spend so much time together it makes more sense to rent a house. I'd probably end up living there with him most of the time if I had my own place anyway.
Going home tomorrow :) I'm in two minds about it, can't wait to see family but something happened tonight with this lad and I don't want to see him around town (which is highly likely seeing as he's renting a house from next week until September i.e. my holidays).
Awww that sounds really sweet.
Sounds like you had a really nice time :)

saturday i didnt do anything. i was meant to be going out in the evening with my friend who was down for the weekend but i think hes in a sulk with me for some reason so i didnt bother going in the end

I've had a really good day today :)
Me and my friend just made a day of it and went and booked an induction for the gym! woohoo :p
Then indulged in a little retail therapy but I only bought myself some gym clothes and trainers as I have none lol, I've spent way too much money though so I couldn't buy anything else haha
Then we went to the Harvester for some food and then after about 10 minutes in my house I was back out to Somerfield and her Bamps to take his dinner to him and then went out for a drive with a few other friends :) been a nice night.
Though I'm kind of fed up now. I want to do something for my 18th but have no idea what. All my friends are complaining they have no money and I understand where they're coming from so I don't want to do anything to expensive or wild... but it's still my 18th and I want it to be a special night. Hmmm decisions decisions.

I'm back home now for the holidays. Had a right palaver with the trains. I thought I'd be clever and get home quicker by going to Manchester rather than Stockport. Got home an hour later than I would have had I gone to Stockport

i didnt go to netball yesterday, couldnt be bothered in the end. got quite a bit of work done instead though. today ive got a house viewing at 10am and then ive got my last seminar for the module i really hate, looking forward to 4pm! then have cheerleading and we are training in our uniforms and i dunno whether to go to my seminar in my uniform to save me having to carry it around with me!
Ergh i hate Stockport station! I'm allowed to say that its where i live! Much prefer manchester, everyting about it!
Went to the cinema yesterday which was realy good, saw the boat that rocked i didnt think i would enjoy it as much as i did. Then had nandos for tea! Really need to make a move with this essay today though. Its not going well!
Was having a good day till I saw the budget in Ireland.. 25 cent on smokes, child care allowance cut completely, children's allowance to be means tested, now 2% of my wages go to the government... for those who don't work, they will not have any benefit increase and those under 20 will only get half benefit... also, our Social insurance has increase which means we have to pay more from our wages and now have to wait longer before we can claim of it
That will happen in the UK too, to make up for the huge pension payments for the senior bank executives who got the whole world into a fooking mess.
those under 20 will only get half benefit.
Is that for benefits across the board or are some, like DLA, exempt?

I've not had the best few days... I found a lump at the back of my head a while ago, thought nothing of it.. and it has got worse over the past few days so I've been in a bit of pain. I'm booking a doctors appointment tomorrow. My dad insists it is a cyst after he looked at it, but I am thinking the worst as it has got bigger and it has started to hurt a lot more - I've kept myself busy to take my mind off it.. I went to a party tonight which was nice :) and I'm going on an Easter egg hunt tomorrow  my auntie does one every year.
It's probably a cyst or an abscess Davey. They're easily treated. Serious lumps (eg cancer) usually don't hurt.
I agree with Abigail, Davey, I am sure it is a cyst and nothing to worry about. Get it checked with the doctor to put your mind at ease. :)
I have got so much to do and not enough time to do it! Always seems to be the way.
Woke up this morning feeling rotten aswell, headache and achy, best not be geting a cold of flu or something! will not be impressed. THink ill dose up on vittamin C today.
those under 20 will only get half benefit.

this is just for unemployment benefits
My bellydancing teacher got married this morning to s Syrian man in a registry office. Another dancer and myself went into the office with them when they got married and then quickly left before the happy couple and we and some other dancers formed a line with our veils for the wedding party to walk under. I could not persuade the others to come dressed up so I did not either, but I reckon it would have looked great :( Had some Arabian sweets outside the registry office and some alcohol free champagne, I just loved the pistaccio sweets that were on offer :cheer: Nice couple of hours out of the office too.

Happy Easter as well before i forget.
Good weekend so far. Achieved a lot of spring cleaning :cheer: and a bit of a sun tan is coming on nicely too, as the weather is absolutely gorgeous.
The weather here is rubbish, the sun is out but it's still cold. I do live in Yorkshire though. We get about three days of sun a year.
Not been up to much in the past few days. Got some revision to do and I've been looking at houses. Can't wait until we move in together, it will save so much money.

Well in my drama lesson we discussed this cos we understand all the other modern song choices like Pink and girls aloud
We thought that the Ting tings were used cos the song was saying 'thats not my name' and it was relating it to the father being a traitor and that kind of thing
oh i see, yes i can see that now actually that would make sense. I never thought of that, you can see that is why you do drama and i never did!
I also found out that one of the weird sisters the one that was Mrs McDuff as well was Beverley Callards (Liz McDonald) daughter, I am full o fuseless facts.

I mean when she was the weid sister you really felt for her, cos she was the one that got raped
And then as the wife she was really good too, when she was crying and everything

Wondering daughter decided to come home today, you remember 10 year old going on 40 left home last Saturday with suitcase last seen leaving in a touring campervan, well she came home starving once I fed her she told me all about Blackpool she did all the rollercoasters PEPSI MAX the lot cousin say she is psycho.
On a bad point had my sister-in-law on the phone. My brother has a 27 year old son he has not seen in about 25 years the relationship with his son's mother broke up and he never kept in touch, anyway a guy my brother knows who also knows my nephew (brother's son) told my brother his son hadn't been well he went to the doctors because he had trouble going to the loo. the docs did tests and put a colostomy bag on they discovered he had bowel cancer now they have found it has spread to his lungs. He is only 27 and my brother is in bits.
omg thats so sad kath :(
Will your brother meet up with his son?

I don't know Abbie his partner phoned me and my sister without him knowing she said he is going to try and go and see his ex next week as he knows were she works, the thing is he hasn't had any contact with his son in 25 years what if the lad doesn't want bugger all to do with him. Aw no Kath thats awful news :(
Abigail.... I've seen that video! It's horrible. Have you seen one of a guy and he has one on his chin??
Omg what a day. One of the chefs in work was wlaking to the station with the other chef guy, someone jumped out of a bush (by someone I mean one of the other kitchen staff who got sacked yesterday for threatening this chef guy with a knife) smacked him with a baseball bat and stabbed him in the face, then chased both back towards the restaurant.. it's all kicked off there tonight.
It's easter! Hope the easter bunny brings you all lovely chocolate :).. even though I prefer a nice cuppa since chocolate makes me feel sick and I alwaysss have chocolate left for ages lol.
 Kirsty that's awful. Is the chef ok?
I've seen quite a few on youtube, once I start I just can't stop :D I got the bug by watching it on Rude Tube.

I know what you mean Abigail, trust me I really do lol. I think us ladies have a way of somehow saying something "funny".. when we actually mean nothing by it.
Haha Abigail they just make me feel ill. The horse one we had to watch in Biology!... a guy in our class had to walk out cos it made him feel woozy... baring in mind he wanted to be a vet at that time! Haha... I think I know the video you're on about anyways
I had a right laugh at the market a week or so ago. There was a guy selling easter eggs and he was shouting "Lindt bunnies, £2 each, cheaper than Woolworths"
I have a car:D Paid the deposit for it today but it's lush :D . So when leanne and that come up in september (hopefully:p) they will see my gorgeous car. Peugeot 107 Kiss Red. It's gorgeous yeah i squealed quite a lot :$

I went to the doctors. It was a massive cyst on the back of my head! I won't go into details but it's been painful and I have to go back next Tuesday to get it frozen off. That's the second cyst I've had in the last year!
Oh wow, sounds great (no sarcasm here). I love things like that. Never heard of cysts being frozen off before.
I actually look on youtube when I'm bored for abscesses and cysts being lanced. There's a great one of a horse having an abscess on his rear lanced :D
I wish I shared your enthusiasm Abigail :D I might look on YouTube actually.
I'm very sorry to hear about your brother's son Kath :( I hope there is something the doctors can do x
This is a pretty good one. Should be longer though. Put it in spoilers in case some people don't want to see it and to save space.

I'm so fed up of the male species. My friend sent me some strange texts this morning and coupled with a few other things he's said recently, I think he likes me. Which isn't a good thing, he's my best friend and I don't want anything to happen. He said he was jealous when I got with a guy ages ago (don't know which one). I want to talk to him but he's not answering my calls or messages.
The other trouble in my life is the guy that won't let go and understand that I don't want to be with him. He text me at 2am this morning to ask if I wanted to go for a drive with him. I told him that I'm seeing someone (a lie) but he doesn't care. Not surprising really, he kissed me when his girlfriend was away.
Tried to do some revision this afternoon but there's so much on my mind. I need a drink right now.

ive had a busy weekend. i finished term on thursday and had to hand in my article in the afternoon, then had to go to our extra cheerleading training. then went to bed at 8.30pm cos i had to be up at 1am to get ready for our cheerleading competition as the bus was leaving campus at 2.30am!
friday was such a long day but the competition was quite good. we entered 3 categories this year but didnt win anything :( we were disappointed that we didnt win anything for cheer cos there were 20 squads in the group and only us and 2 other squads didnt drop any of their stunts, yet us and one of those squads didnt get a trophy. i dont understand how they score it as the routine was the best we have ever done it and all the other teams made so many mistakes. and we came 7th last year (the lowest place they give a trophy to) and our routine was awful! in stunt we stood a good chance of winning something til our flyer was dropped really badly and in dance we werent expecting to win anything cos the choreograhy was crap! we told our coach and she said she knew what she was doing, obviously she didnt! on a plus side, i had a really good time and got some brill pics of my jumps and a load of people said that i had the best jumps on the whole squad which made me happy! :)
yesterday and today ive just been lazing around catching up on sleep! went to bluewater briefly yesterday but didnt buy anything

He is only 27 and my brother is in bits.
hope theres something they can do for your brothers son

I've had a good week or so :D. Work is good and fun :p. Left the other place finally.. although still not officially official.. but no one has rang me, and I was meant to be in over the weekend.. so think they got the hint :p.
I like this new guuuuuy :p At work.. like him last year too.. Ah he's nice :). Just gonna flirt loads :p lmao.
Someome died in work yesterday . Apparantly.. was working.. and then collapsed with a heart attack . He was one of the ride supervisors... I feel sorry for the assistant that was working with him. How awful would that be.. working with someone, then they die . Eh.
I am soooo tired though.
And still haven't done any college work . Gonna start it tomorrow I think.. after work. I really NEED to... without a doubt.. otherwise Leanne is not going to uni lol!!!
Bed is calllllllllllllllling... Night all. x

Awww thanks guys :)
Ive had a really good day, had lots of lovellyy presents. Meal was lovely, got to Wetherspoons and I could hardly drink because I was full, and I was sick... because I was so full and being forced to drink alcohol lol. I had 3 glasses! Whats that all about!? Never mind... I've managed to save money for Newport on Wednesday... student night... that's where the fun is! :D Haha
...I got chatted up by a 40 odd year old, it wasn;t funny. Haha
Sounds like you had a lovely birthday, Kirsty :)
Glad you had a good and erm....interesting birthday Kirsty :D
Well I got up really late today, I havent been doing much apart from watching hereos. And why is it that the second week off always goes quicker than the first :(
Also had to buy a new printer today, my printer which became the family one is just broke we called up and nothing was working and cos they dont mae this printer anymore we were told its best to buy a new one
Well I have bought it on my card cos we got an upgrade, free devlivery and well saved about £45 on this new printer since we are epson customers, thought it was well good :D Been online and the printer looks good too :)
Mum says she is gonna give me the money for it soo, its just which paying for whatever is going on with the car and then the holiday it was easy for me to it. Plus my printer became the family one so its only fair, although this may be the printer I take to uni with me
hope you had a good birthday Kirsty
I'm watching the telly and typing up my essay, finally nearly finished thankfully. I'm going to the gym later want to get my fitness back up, easter has been bad! going to enter a few races over summer as well hopefully.
Last day at work for me today before I am off to Mauritius on Monday, only for a week, which will fly by, I am sure, but I am looking forward to some sun and beach and no work for a few days. :D
Lucky you.. it is miserable here..weather is dreadful.. enjoy yourself
Hope you have a good week Perdita. Is this the wedding you mentioned a while ago?
I've been rather busy the past few days. The house hunting isn't going good. I honestly don't know how landlords get away with letting properties in that state. One house had mould growing up one wall, another had bed bugs and was damp, the bathrooms are damp and mouldy. The estate agents said they were in a good condition  I'd love to see the ones in a bad condition.
We looked at one house and they were having a porn photo shoot  Each to their own but they knew we were going to look round.
Revision today, then going to Sam's for the weekend.

I am off out tonight with some friends - going to a gay bar. We've been planning it for ages :D We are all very happy at the moment, as we've won the lottery. We won £822. If we had one more number, we would have won £50,000.
Congratulations on your lottery win, enjoy your spending spree. Shame about the one more number, but a little win is better than no win :D
Have a good time perdita :D
Wow that is lucky davey! :cheer: well done
If only I could win something, today me and my mum have been looking at student loans and how much I get and then the accomodation Im gonna pick, I would say its not looking good but its a mix, I mean its a lot of money not as much as others would get but still its just the idea of being able to cope
Went to my friends 18th last night, and quite a few people were proud of me for not getting drunk lol! :p It was a good night, I didnt sit down once! on the dance floor the whole time :p

Had a busy weekend with my future house mates. Saturday we had a bbq in the nature reserve in the dark. Was pretty special. The shopping trip to get the food was so much fun.
We rented a dvd but only got chance to watch the first half hour. To cut a long story short, Ash went back to his flat to get some popcorn only to find a padlock on his cupboard. He's been having some problems with his flatmates for a while now. We managed to get the padlock off and his cupboard empty.
As retribution and suspecting that Ash's food was in the cupboard, we took his flatmate's cupboard off the wall. We'd all had quite a bit to drink by this point. We did a few other things too :ninja: We put the cupboard in a shopping trolley, covered it with a cloth and proceeded to take it to a friend's to get the padlock off. The plan would have been fine had we not got stopped outside the security office. Had a ten minute argument between us, the security guard and the flatmate. I really don't know how nobody noticed the cupboard shaped box in the shopping trolley :rotfl: I was silently laughing to myself when security were asking what we'd done with it.
Monday was the election count :ninja: Our slate lost all the positions except two, non-port and president. It was such a relief to win president, we lost positions by 7 - 30 votes. President was last to be counted, the whole slate was feeling very depressed by this point. That was such a great feeling to get the news we all really wanted. We may have lost the election on the whole but we have presidency and an exec and still retain control of council. :cheer:
Another bit of good news: we finally have a house :D It's a little gem. Four bedrooms, new kitchen, new bathroom, huge lounge and a nice garden. There's only three of us so we're still deciding what to do with the fourth bedroom. It's three doors down from the takeaway and corner shop and a 30 second walk to another takeaway. Student union is a minute away. I'm so excited, can't wait for August.
The past week has been spent with Sam and Ash, my house mates to be. We've had so much fun, eating together, playing games, getting drunk, making mischief, having random conversations. It's going to be a great couple of years living together and we can't wait to move into our new home:thumbsup:
A very close and old friend of mine had a sudden stroke at the weekend.
She is 45 years old and has two boys aged 13 and 16. Her husband was told last night to tell the boys that their mum is unlikely to live through today.
My heart goes out to them, it is so so sad and I can't stop crying.
I phoned the hospital. They won't tell me anything other than the family are not there and will not be in today. What does that mean!!!
I am fearing the worst and I can't stop crying..

There were 3 of us on and well it was dead, so the head waitress for the day who is a year younger than me and I now that shouldnt matter and shes the boss's daughter said , abbie you might as well call for a lift now cos theres nothing to do, this was at 2, so I signed out at 2
I mean fair enough! but why is it always me that signs out early or leaves early is p***es me off cos the others work more than once week and well I work only once a week so it just doesnt seem fair, the other girl could have went!

So sorry to hear your sad news Trinity.
It is so weird, my friend and I have kind of lived parallel lives for the past 20 odd years. We met at work, married a year apart and had our kids a year apart.
I can't believe she is gone. I don't know how her husband will cope - he is heart broken, and the boys are so young (13 and 16). The elder one is due to sit his Highers (Scottish A Levels) in two weeks.
How can it be that someone is perfectly fine one week, and the next week they are switching off the life support machine because they are brain dead?
I could understand more if she had had an accident, but she didn't, she had a stroke at 45.
I know that 45 seems old to a lot of you, but it isn't, it is young! It is only half way there.
I can't believe it, I really can't.

I am so sorry about your friend, Trinity, it is tragic. :(
Had a lovely time in Mauritius, the island is gorgeous and the people so very friendly. My stepdaughter's wedding went without any problems, in the hotel garden bordering the beach. A very beautiful location for a wedding. :)
I would not mind going back there one day although 15 hours in an aeroplane is somewhat off-putting. :thumbsdow
Wedding in Mauritius - how romantic!
(Although it sound kind of like taking your folks on your honeymoon, to me!)
I am still waiting to here the date of the funeral for my friend, hopefully it will not be before Friday when my hubby comes home from Texas.

No contact was allowed with the newly weds after the wedding, we were also not allowed to stay in the same hotel as they were, so they have had a very private honeymoon the same as if they had got married in UK and then gone off on a holiday. But getting married there allowed me to have a nice holiday at the same time which I would not have had if they had got married in UK :D
I am not feeling very well, I guess the nasty air condition in the plane coming back from holiday has given me a cold. I also have a fat lip where a giant cold sore is forming, Zovirax does not seem to make the slightest difference.

Found out a friend at school, her mum and dad are on holiday in Mexico. GUTTED. they can't come home till early monday morning either (N).
Last day of normal timetable today, can't believe i am actually saying this but i reallllllly don't wanna leave school! got a couple of weeks left for days of revision and that but then it's all over :( already had me in tears reading what some teachers have written in my leaver's book! (i'm pathetic though, i get way too emotional. i still even cry at Titanic even though i've watched ita bazillion times!)
going to the trafford centre tomorrow to find a prom dress :D can't wait till the night!
Annnnd I ccame back on here for the first time in ages! I've been so busy with revision and what not, i've not been getting in from school till almost 5 on most days!
I only have a week of normal school left before AS exams  I may as well not have bothered going in today either. Today was the only day on the timetable that I'm supposed to have 5 lessons and I only had 2. Not that we did much in those either.
I feel ill too :( I started to feel sick on the bus, I don't know what was going on but it was just so jerky. I'd had enough of motor vehicles after that so it was a good job my driving instructor wasn't doing lessons today! I have a headache as well now.

Have you started to grow a curly tail and trots yet.keep washing your hands perdy for 20 seconds that 2 verses of Happy Birthday. :D
I've had a rubbish time these past few days. I can't remember the last time I posted in here so sorry if I repeat myself. I just need to get a few things off my chest.
Monday night I got smashed in the library with Sam and Ash. It was a great night, we had so much fun. Ended in another argument though :( Since Sam split up with his girlfriend three weeks ago, all we've been doing is getting drunk and having arguments. We kinds resolved it. When we got back Ash was upset so I went to his and we talked until 5.30am. Couple of hours later Sam phoned me to ask why Ash was in my bed and did I sleep with him. He wasn't in my bed and we didn't have sex. No idea where that came from.
Tuesday was another day of drama and drinking.
Wednesday I had my first exam. It went ok, did enough to pass I think. Late afternoon me and Sam went to the student bar and ended up drinking two bottles of wine between us. I wasn't drunk but I felt really strange. Something wasn't right. I went to the toilet and when I got back, he'd gone. This was about 10pm. The next thing I remember was realising I was two miles away in the town centre at 1am :searchme: It was cold and raining and I had no idea how I got there.
Yesterday was a really bad day. Sam thought I'd gotten upset and left him With everything that's been going on in recent weeks I understand why he thought that. He didn't want to speak to me, he thought it was best we both had a few days to cool off. I spoke to Ash in the morning and told him that I didn't know what happened the night before, he must have spoken to Sam because he rang me later in the day.
Last night I just lost it and did something stupid. I vaguely remember doing it, I don't know why I did it. There's so much going on in my head at the moment.
Now Sam knows and I can't cope with that. He understands and he wants to talk about it but I just can't. I don't want to deal with it. I never wanted him to know, why did I have to tell him? :crying:
Glad you had a good holiday Perdy. Just remember to keep washing your hands, I don't want pig flu passed down the internet to my fingers :nono: :p
I'm sorry for your loss Trinity. I can't imagine how difficult it is knowing she was fine a matter of days ago and now she's passed away.

Sorry to hear you've had a crap week Abigail but I think the three of you need to cut down on the drink weekdays at least other wise the three of you are going to fall out big time and the damage may not be easy to repair maybe things will settle down once the exmas are out of the way and you are all less stressed out, but if you are going to share a house next semester it's better to sort things out now.
Yeah, we've all agreed that we need to stop drinking so much. We're fine until we've had a few then things go pear shaped. We've all got stuff going on which none of us want to talk about so we sit there getting drunk and hoping it will go away. Not good *shakes head*

And now for my depressing post:
My brother in law is still in hospital in leeds 10 weeks he has been in all because of the demon drink. He was supposed to have an operation two weeks ago on his lung as he wasn't putting on weight and the doctors were concerned about him, but they postponed it as he was too week for the operation. They are now doing it next week but he has got an infection in his good lung so they are pumping him full of drugs to fight it.
Update on my nephew who has bowel cancer. My brother went to see his ex last week and it was confirmed that he has bowel cancer but it has not spread to his lung so that's some good news. He starts two weeks of Chemo on Monday then two weeks of drugs then a further two weeks of chemo and two weeks of drugs then the doctors will decide from there. He has a 19 year old sister who has to be tested as the hospital think it may be heriditory, we will just have to play it by ear, which is sh!t as in the last two years we have had young relatives struck dowm with serious illnesses because of defective genes.

Oh no Abigail :( I really hope you manage to sort things out soon!
I'm back in school... I didn't want to go back, I don't want to eb there, but I ahve no choice. Great.
Went to a Sixth Form Neon Party Tuesday night..I didn't enjoy myself as much as I'd hoped. I had very little money to the point I could only afford 2 pints.. so I was hardly in a party frame of mind lol. My best friend couldn't stop blubbering everytime she saw her ex there because he'd cheated on her. I have sympathy for her.. but she is milking it now, so most of the night was spent running after her.
However, the really hot guy in work I keep going on about lol... we was texting all night, that's how bored I was. He asked me to go over his for a few drinks when I got back, I said no though.
Then me and 2 other friends got stranded in Newport under a bus shelter in flipping tutus and bright coloured clothes.. we booked 2 taxis (this was before we even got to Newport) to come back home, but only 1 turned up because the others fog lights had gone or something (it wasn't even foggy) so we ended up having to get my friends Dad to come and pick us up. I was so cold :( so.. not really the best night.
Not had the best day today either. I'm quite annoyed with my friend. She's seeing 2 guys atm.. The other day we both agreed to go to Newport tonight, but she said she couldn't as she had too mcuh work to do whihc was fair enough, so I ended up going to Bingo with Mum and her friend lol. Then had a text off her for me to go over the pub.. I text my other friend to see who was there and shock.. one of the guys she's seeing is there. I feel really let down, I know it sounds silly but I do :(
Ugh.. not the best week.
Perdy get better soon :)

No I haven't seen him in 20+ years his mum and my brother split up when he was young but it doesn't stop us worrying we just have to hope and pray that the Chemo kill the cancer he has already had part of his bowel removed so fingers crossed.

Aw Kath I hope everything goes well for your Nephew and co. :)
Well lets see shall we.
1. He asked me to go over his house when I got back form Newport.. which would've been at about 2-2:30 am.
2. He was completely smashed and would#ve regretted it next day anyways
3. He's such a player as it is..
4. I was actually going to meet him tonight as we were going to the same place but then my friend ditched me so I couldn't go. :(

Sensible girl. Hopefully you both can meet up when he's not so smashed.
Kirsty :]
01-05-2009, 23:54
I doubt it.. but I'm glad I've been told I was sensible for once lol. I did want too, but I knew it wouldn't be right. So at least I oculd say it was justa bit of banter, rather than being told it was a mistake
We found out my mums auintie died last week so they went to the funeral and then this morning we now found out her uncles died as well, we are not having much luck but i suppose these things happen. I was going home anyway tomorrow but this way it means i get to go to the funeral as i missed the last one it would have been nice to have been there.
just got lots of revision and packing to do, if i stay in this house i will commit GBh on some of my housemates so i need to put a bit of distance between me and wales! the girl is driving me crazy ever since she stopped talking to me, for no apparent reason the only thing i did was lend her all my notes as she had been to no lectures, about a 100 quids worth of textbooks and asked her how it went and this was in january since they nothing she ignores me
And her latest stunt is organising a party in our house (where she doesnt live as she is a housemates girlfriend) without asking any of us invited every other housemate except me, it doesnt bother me as i dont really want to go but what was she expecting me to do lock myself in my room, so yeaha Manchester is llooking like i a really good option.
hope your feeling better Perdy and the Kath you get some good news
That was a bit of a rant! Sorry
Kath, I am really sorry to hear about your nephew. I hope that things improve and that the rest of your family are clear of the genetic thing. What a worry!
Kirsty, I am really glad that you didn't go. You should be proud and as Kath says perhaps you will have the opportunity to see this guy when he is sober, and if you don't then you will know that you are better off without him.
Katy, how can someone arrange a party in your house and not a. ask you if it is okay and b. invite you! this girl sounds like a real piece of work!
I hope that she gave you your notes and books back? She must have failed her exam and instead of blaming herself for not going to the lectures she is taking it out on you. It must be so awkward that she is going out with your housemate. I hope that things improve.
If there is a party in your house you cannot not be invited - your are there, end of.
piece of work is an understatement! nah, she stil has all my notes and books, i ll get them at the end of the year, its not worth the hassle now. the rate shes been going its doubtful she will be back for third year anyway.
I actually haven't been on in age's for some reason, but these few week's have been so busy! I got my car, last few weeks at school trying not to fall out with anyone, and being really happy with my life! which is should i say amazing for me. Got my waterloo road series 3 the autumn term yesterday and i'm slightly obsessed with episode 7.
Today has been good, went to stirling mills, didn't buy anything at all  althrough there were a few things i wanted to pick up but i couldn't &' I now have stomach cramps  Not a happy bunny, but i'm on the sofa watching waterloo road, curled up in my duvet on this :Dx

Abbie I remember when I was in 2nd year (year 9 down south) one lad fell asleep in georaphy the teacher gave him a little shove to wake him but he mumbled something like 5 more minutes mum. Then the teacher whacked his belt of the desk he jumped up with a shock then the teacher Mr Harvey made him do 20 press-ups at the front of the class. He never fell asleep in his class again.
Been a busy bee this weekend went to costco and homebase yesterday bought paint for my room going to paint it tomorrow, went to see Hannah Montana film today. What can I say totally cheesy and disney.

:D well if i'm allowed i'll post a pic? am i allowed to though? it's not of all of me, it's just the dress part.
I did drink. Alot. And i don't usually get hangovers but today my tummy feels all bubbly and sloshy ha. but i think i'm the only person i know that can drink 3 quarters of a bottle of peach schnapps to myself straight from the bottle, a big glass of vodka and redbull and half a litre of lambrini, go to bed at half two and be up and awake at half 7! And then i got told by my friend, whos house i was staying at, that when we had gone down the chippy i apparently told her how much i didn't want to leave school because i loved mrs Eulert  which i found deeply amusing!

my sis fell asleep in a history lesson once. ive never done that, though i have wanted to sleep quite a few times in my lectures!
I'm so stressed at the moment. There always seems to be a drama in my life.
The main thing that's going on, it's very serious and nobody believes me when I say what's going to happen. Consequently I'm having to deal with it on my own and it's really hard. I can't sleep for the worrying of what might happen when I'm not around.
I found out this evening that another friend is having real problems. I knew something was going on but not this serious.
I've just got back from an early morning trip to Tesco. How I love my random life with Sam :D
With all this stress, I went to the park this afternoon to get away from it all. No such look, managed to get chatted up by three guys, one of which asked me on a date. He works in the takeaway which is three doors away from my new house. I said I'll see what I'm doing on Saturday but I reckon I'm washing my hair :p
Woke up this morning to hear that my the meat factory were my brother works has been wrecked by a fire so heaven knows what's going to happen, he does not need this extra stress with his son starting Chemo yesterday.
I saw the fire on the news - looks like the factory is a total write off, but the owners were planning on relocating operations as soon as possible. It must have been awful for the workers who were actually in the factory when the fire started.
I am thinking of your nephew, I hope that all goes well.
It is my friend's funeral this morning. Thankfully my hubby made it home from Texas yesterday (he has been away for nearly 3 weeks) and he will be coming with me.
I am dreading seeing my friend's sons upset.
On another tragedy, a guy I work with his wife died yesterday - I don't know how old she is but he is only 48.
All tragic news :( Trinity, am thinking of you this morning, glad your hubby is there to support you. xx

How did the fire happen? Hope that it gets sorted quickly and that your brother can go back to his usual working life. All the best for your nephew xx

They think that the fire began in the haggis and blackpudding section of the factory. One of the night shift staff heard a bang and went to investigate but staff have been told if they hear any unusual noises to vacate the premises incase it is a gas explostion like the one in Glasgow a few years ago. but we won't know for sure until the fire brigade get inside the building. My brother is at home at the moment the boss is trying to find temporary accomodation, No news on how my nephew is doing but no news is good news.
Trin how did today go I was thinking of you and your friends young boys.

Think i've lost 11 marks off the practical paper grr! stupid tanya! It was admin by the way.
Officially left school today and we all went bowling and i didn't cry once! I tripped up at the leaver's mass through, me and my best friend were in fits! Ahh good time's i'm going to miss the school but i'm so glad i've left :D
My day hasn't been bad considering. Did some shopping, had a really bad meal at Sainsburys. The food at cafes and restaurants round here is shocking, even Frankie and Benny's and 'Spoons.
Had a snoozle this afternoon :) then just been catching up on some tv. Even found the time to let my mother know I'm still alive via email. Forgot I haven't spoken to her for a week, she was getting worried :ninja:
Tomorrow should be interesting :hmm:
Kirsty :]
07-05-2009, 01:37
Oohh whats happening tomorrow Abigail? :hmm:
I've had a weird few days. Well not weird... ok yes weird. I don't know.. people confuse me! Guys mainly.. one in particular.
Still absolutely despising school... but there's only a week left to stick out now.
Hopefully be getting myself a little run aroudn on Friday, which I am seriusly excited about since I realised earlier I passed in February... it's now May and I haven't drove independently once. I bet I've forgotten how to do everything now!
I ahve a headache now. I thinkI should go to sleep...
There's a lecture on racism by the president elect. It's been a highly contentious issue recently so it will be interesting to see what people's views are.
Kirsty, if you're not liking school now what's going to change when you go to college in September? Is it the teachers or environment you don't like or the whole idea of studying, exams and coursework?
There's a few other things too.
Anyway, tis time for bed. Early start tomorrow :(
Kirsty :]
07-05-2009, 01:46
Oohh, that's such a controversial topic.. I bet it would be interesting! Sounds it anyways.
It's the whole environment, we're treated liek kids.. when we're 18! I'm too used ot the way teachers teach and I jsut get bored so easily, and the fact that there is just constant favouritism too, so more help is given to others and it's just not fair. I jsut think new surroundings and teaching techniques would do me alot of good. I knew I should've gone to College before even joining Sixth Form, but you learn from your mistakes I guess.
yeah you do, where i live unless you go to a private school round me there is no sixth forms at other schools as the council scrapped them and built big colleges.
HAve you decided what you are going to do next year?
I got 67% in my crimial assignment i am really pleased as it wasnt one of the best ones i have done.
Just need to get the exams over and done with now! Focus on trying to get some money over the summer and prepare for third year. meant to have done a dissertation proposal which i still have no idea what to do it on. just dont know what to write it on.

Yeah big colleges are better, I think mine has about 4000 people at it. Something like that...it does evening classes too, courses for adults etc.
Although, we've had a new principle since September and I haven't seen him yet.
The funeral yesterday was awful.
A conveyor belt religious cremation, even though my friend was an athiest.
She would have hated it.
You Can Shed Tears That She Is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone,
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her.
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she's gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Just got some really bad news. One of the guys at work wife drop dead.. she wasn't even sick.. She is only in her 40's and left behind 3 young kids.. Eldest is 11 and she has 7 and 4 year old.. all girls.. poor man
That's terrible news Siobhan. Her kids are far too young to lose a parent.
OMG, that is so sad.
My heart goes out to them all, poor wee motherless children.
I just cannot get over how much bad news there has been in the past two weeks.
