;646739']I passed my driving test :D:D Yay!
..Now I just need a car :( lol
I have my next HPV jab in a bit, not lookign forward to it at all :(
Congratulations, well done :cheer:
Good on you for getting the jab, even if it is painful for a bit. :)
Twisted my ankle a bit earlier this morning, did not think too much of it at first but now it is really starting to hurt. :crying:

:cheer: Congrats :D
One of my lecturers has crammed two lectures into one so we don't need to attend his next lecture :D Long weekend :cheer: Will probably go up to Newcastle.
I was looking at train fares on national rail and I discovered that if I buy two separate tickets to Manchester then Newcastle (as opposed to one ticket to Newcastle), I will save £20  Worth investigating for those who use trains often.
Off to do some food shopping soon then I'm making macaroni cheese :D Yum.

Oh thanks for reminding me I need to book my jab this week too! & Congrats. :D
College have decided to implement the one hour policy in open access now. I am not happy. At all. I rely on open access to do my coursework how are we meant to complete coursework in one hour? And then it is half an hour before you can log on again!
The reason for this policy is HEALTH AND SAFETY. -headdesk-
omg kasple thats awful, I would hate that I spend hours in the library!

HAHA LEA! It took me ages to click who you was calling banana, then it hit me lol
Abbie... do you really liek him then missy?? :p Was it awkward after? :/
My second jab didn't really hurt as much as the first... but it's aching ALOT more than the first, it's weird.
Abbie, if you like him, go for it. It could be the start of something beautiful  :p
I dunno.... I think I might
I still havent seen him, theres so much I havent told you about the party I just cant be bothered to type it all
But yeah we kissed a lot alot, I lost count it was just insane and I did say bye to him cos he had my feather on his hat so I wanted to get it back and say goodbye and we did kiss goodbye and you know a few texts that night
I nearly saw him today, my friend was like omg there he is, he didnt see us and we walked the other way cos I wasnt ready to see him cos well I wasnt sure what to say or anything but now I wish I had spoke to him :(
I did text him though
ahhhh its sooo confusing
Abbie, if you like him, go for it. It could be the start of something beautiful  :p
Ahhh yeah I know :p
But I dont want to get ahead of myself cos its stilll really soon, since it was only on saturday and I still dont know what he thinks about the whole thing and whether it was just a one off so I dunno
All I know Is I really want to see him and just talk to him, cos its werid people asking me all these questions and I just dont know what to say
He obviously likes you if you spent the night kissing.
Why don't you meet up with him for a drink or something and talk it over? You won't find out how he feels if you don't talk to him.
Can we go on the shoutbox? :p
The next eight weeks of my life have just been taken up by three assignments for one module totalling 7000 words  Then there's the 2000 word assignment for another module, a photographic practical assignment complete with crime scene sketch, and on top of all that, two exams to revise for :crying: There is no way I'm going to get all that done in 8 weeks.
I can feel the pressure now. The module handbook for RCS says 3000 words, not 7000. Pretty sure RCS won't be handed in on 27th April. That's exam week too.
On the upside, there shouldn't be any more lectures after that week so I can leave and be free :D Still have to redo as assignment that I failed last semester but that's not until August.
So to sum up: four written assignments, 9000 words, a photography assignment, bit of art work and two exams :D
Could you try to plan to do a little bit every day so you don't feel too bogged down?
wow Abigail that is a lot of work!
Today was ok at college, I still didnt see him, well I did on the stairs when I was going to lesson but didnt hav a chance to say anything, I did call him earlier but he didnt answer, im just gonna leave it a bit for now and just see what happens.....I think

I worked out that I have ATLEAST nine pieces of coursework to do :( I'm so bad at staying on top of work and too good at procrastinating. I have to revise for my exams too :(
The heating has broken too, which we thought was fixed today. As soon as the gas man left, the lights on the boiler were flashing, which means there is a fault. It's too cold :(
I'm also tired because I was up until 3:30 talking to Katie, a friend from America, and it's left me very very confused :(
Other than that, I'm good because I have a history trip tomorrow. And Pirelli's Miracle Elixir, the song from Sweeney Todd, just came on in my playlist :p

;647270']I reckon we need a thread on how to organise your time or something! lol
lol yeh! i could do with advice lol!
For me:
1. Stop messing around on the internet
2. Go to the library.
3. Bribe myself with treats if I do X amount of hours
4. No House or Home and Away if work isn't completed.
5. Prioritise.
6. Don't stress about it. Important to remember that I'm not superwoman and I can't do everything without making myself ill.
7. Get lots of sleep, but not too much that I'm asleep more than I'm awake (pretty much the case in general).
^ Is probably a load of rubbish. I'm high on painkillers right now
After I have done my two exams (w/b 27th April) I can leave for the summer :D I finally have some motivation to do work  Nine weeks left of work then almost five months of relaxing
To be honest, this year has gone really quick. It seems ages since I started back in September and actually liked living here.
I'm debating whether to go out tonight or stay in and get on with some work and pack for tomorrow :hmm:
I know what you mean. It seems like only a couple of months has passed since I started the "crucial" year, to quote all of my teachers .. My drama exam is on 29th April and I'm starting to really worry. No matter how hard I try, I just don't seem to be able to focus or even care enough to do my work. Especially with media studies. I hate my teacher. I hate the people I'm with. I hate the coursework because nothing I do seems to be good enough. I'm sure - and I don't mean to sound egotistical here - my teacher just down-grades me because she doesn't like me.
Maybe do an hour or two of work and then go out later, Abigail :searchme:
I need to learn to get more sleep. I've gotten into the habit of going to sleep at like, 1:30 or later because my friend, Katie, who lives in America doesn't seem to understand we're in different time zones and texts me all night

We made one of our lecturers cry today lol. Bless her :p.
None of us had done our work she asked us.. well not finished.. and it has to be sent of to the EV like this week, so she was upset a bit. We felt so bad. Think she needs to cry more often because never seen everyone work so hard :p.
I have SO much work to do as well Abigail :( Feeling the pressure.. I hate how I leave things to the last minute. Got like 15 weeks to do...
- 2 tasks on CS
- 5 tasks on ECE
- 1 task on WE
- 2 tasks on VA
- 3 tasks on ST
- 3 new modules probs with 4/5 tasks each
- 2 tasks on LH (the one we made the lecturer cry on :p)
- Too much Welsh Bac stuff.. because our teacher sucks.
- 4 tasks on TO
- Rest of AON keyskills.. corrections on Comms keyskills.
That's all I can think of right now.. but I am sure there's more :(. All in 15 weeks... I REALLY need to get my head down!!!! :crying:
Awww.. Had nobody at all done the work? Not even one person? Poor lecturer :(
CrazyLea
25-02-2009, 17:04
I think she had had one persons in. But we soon cheered her up :p.
A lot of us misunderstood her I think.. we thought she wanted the whole assignment in.. but she was happy to have just a few tasks.
Ohhh.. That isn't so bad then. Have you done many tasks then? :p
CrazyLea
25-02-2009, 17:10
Well it's 2 assignments that have to be sent off.. for same lecturer.
On RT I had done them all.. just had to do corrections.. and I had done task 1, 2 and 3 corrections on the college drive... but task 4 corrections at home, and she REALLY wanted it today.. so I was able to give 3 tasks of that, she said that was fine.
Then on LH, I haven't finished any tasks.. but I said I had haha  Lying, hoping I could give it in tomorrow.. but she told me to email her it tonight haha . So now for the next few hours after dinner, I'm going to put my head down, cause I still feel bad, she's a really nice lecturer as well haha, which makes it worse.
I always lie. I'm awful. My drama teacher is lovely but I'm such a good liar she can never tell. If I told her the dog ate my coursework she'd probably believe me ... I feel bad though, because she's the only nice teacher I have :(
I have been on a few time management courses in my career, and one of the things that they all recommend is that you 'touch each piece of paper only once'.
What this means in practice is that if you are doing something that needs to be done do your best to stop interuptions, i.e. no computer, mobile phone etc with constant messages and texts.
Set yourself a target of a sensible end point, obviously if the task can be done in and hour and a half then do it - finish the task and scratch it off your to do list.
If the task is longer term, e.g. a dissertaion or long essay then it is harder to find a suitable stopping point - but it is essential tthat you try. Loads of time is wasted if you stop work at the wrong point. You may have to go over everything you have done previously just to get a handle on where you left off. Finish your point/arguement/section - and have a plan so that you know you can just go on to the next bit then no duplication.
Good luck with the studying guys - glad it isn't me! My son is doing his Highers this year and no one wants advise from their mum and dad - which is a shame because we both have loads of academic experience......
Kirsty :]
25-02-2009, 17:39
Haha Trinity... you're more than welcome to give academic advice on here anyday! I know I'd be more than greatful for any good tips you have lol :)
I have an interview for Brighton University, thing is... I really don't want to go there. I made a stupid decision only thinking of the social life to be honest, it's way too far from home and I know I won't settle in, but I only have one other offer apart from that so part of me says I should go.. I'm all confused :(
I'm having my tea now, then cracking on with my school work, tonight is my only proper free night I have to myself, and instead of going out I'm staying in to catch up... that way I can go out on Friday night instead if my mates go out and not feel bad :)...and I'm goign to take the time saving tips into account too :D

You should talk to your tutor about it. It's a tricky situation when you only hold one offer. You have three main options.
1. Go for the interview, and if they accept you, put it down as an insurance choice.
2. Decline the interview and just accept the one offer.
3. Decline the offer and the interview and go through Extra (you can't use Extra is you already hold offers).
Are you happy with the offer you already have? Do you think you will be able to meet it? Is the university known to be flexible with their offers when it comes to results day?
Remember most students who don't get a place at uni because of their results get a place through Clearing.
Plymouth sent me this VIP pass thing for their preview day im looking forward to it
Im sooo tired, I woke up at 5 cos this guy sent me text at 1am but I woke up at 5am lol, so I had a nap earlier

Yeahh I'm happy with the offer I have and that, and the Uni is flexible.. is known to be flexible anyways and I reckon I could meet their grades, it's the only place I want to go.
I've spoken to my Nan and she said that if I don't want to go I don't have too, but I think I will speak to my head of year or tutor tomorrow.
Thats what I was like with sheffield the one I last heard from
I didnt go in the end but that was me :)
I've been giving two separate dates for interviews for Carnegie College. So going to see my pupal support teacher about getting away to the friday one which is the 13th of march. :Dx
My mum just gave me a letter that arrived today and I've been accepted into the college I really wanted to go to. I'm so happy right now :D I really can't wait :D:D
Congrats Rawnie :) What's that to study?

Ooo very cool :p I do drama and english language :p

Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control Tannie. Don't worry about your homework, I'm sure your teacher will understand if you say you had problems that took priority over homework.
A good cry often helps too :)

My teacher gave some books out just before Christmas and put them on text receipts (so they had to be numbered) because she said it wouldn't be fair to ask us for the money for the books when we had Christmas presents to buy etc. I gave in the money just after Christmas and she said I could write my name in the book and that she'd throw the text receipts away. I did and today she asks me if I've written in it and says that the book I wrote in wasn’t from the right set and that she’ll have to number a book from the other set to replace it now.

I have too much work too. I hate how they don't give you much work in some of the earlier parts of the year and then stress us out having to cram it all in.
What I have never understood is why we get the bulk of the work and exams now. Why not spread the work out a bit, have half the assignments and exams in the autumn term and the rest when the Spring term starts.
Surely it would make it easier on teachers/lecturers who won't have 70-odd 7000 and 2500 word essays to mark, 70 manuscripts per exam etc. Why stress us all out when they could make it much easier? :p
I've almost finished packing and tidying my room so I'm going to start on my assignment now. I work best at this time of night. I did buy a ticket for tonight (Coolio - gangster's paradise - is playing) but I really can't be bothered to go. I'll only end up getting smashed, going to bed at 6am and missing lectures and trains tomorrow. Plus I can do my work in peace and quiet, a rarity in this flat.
Thank you! :D
I'll be doing Drama, English Literature, English Language and Psychology :)
Minus the English language and thats what im doing :D and i LOVE them all - actually currently hating english, and im in my drama teacher's bad books dues to the one paragraphed essay i gave her  ahhh well! Oh and ive my psychology assignment in for tomorrow and ive not even done half of it yet - there is NOT enough time in the day i swear, however my day was taken up mainly by watching buffy season 2  NEW FAV!
Well done by the way Rawnie :p
On the new course we don't have a Psychology assignment, we get Individual Differences at AS instead of A2 I think it is. We just get a teacher who, when we did Research Methods, set a report to be written in one night
I don't think I will be in my Economics teacher's good books tomorrow; had a go slow in the lesson and still haven't done the work haha! And I handed in a short piece of homework and she said my standards were slipping lol!

I sorta do want to go but I dunno if I can be bothered!

Aww yay Lea! I have another interview too, this time for Camarthen, but my heart is set on Glamorgan, I don't want to go anywhere else, I don't know what to do.
Lea, we lost! Te match was rubbish and Wales played rubbish :(, me and a random few friends went to he Bowlplex to wtach the game, the atmosphere was sooo cool! But the game was rubbihs, I got durnk without spending any money, was well fun! And I made a new firend lmao, I went form work, so i got drunk.. inmy works unifrom, felt like a right chav.
I think I have a cold coming rtoo , can't stop sneezing and my throat hurts and my nose is blocking :(
I bought my mum a new PC today. Her laptop is really slow and I got annoyed when I was using it earlier (left my laptop at uni). Should be here on Monday. I'm rather jealous, it's a gaming PC, 4gb ram and 320gb harddrive.
After all my mum does for me, looking after me when I'm ill, paying for food at uni etc, it's the least I can do. She does family history which keeps her busy when my dad is at work. I've noticed that she's become more depressed recently as she can't use the laptop as much as she'd like. What makes her happy, makes me happy :)
She told me off earlier for ringing the house phone from my mobile when I was upstairs in bed. I didn't have the energy to shout and ask her to make me a cup of tea (I only do that when I can't get out of bed) so I rang instead :p
Today hasn't been bad actually. I feel so much better being at home. I was up at 9am, the sun was shining. Did shout at my mum for waking me up, making a doctors appointment for 9.45am and putting my underwear in the tumble dryer last night. I forgot how good it is to be at home during the week. Saw my GP, he asked me how I really am and said I shouldn't stay somewhere if I'm not happy, but to make sure I think it through and make the right choice. I felt a lot happier after seeing him.
I've also managed to do some work for my assignment. So it took nearly three hours when I could have done it in less than an hour but it got done and I'm happy with it. I'm looking forward to writing this assignment, will probably start the write up later in the week.
All in all, a very productive day :D I hope it's going to be like this when I move back home in a couple of months.
Going shopping tomorrow morning with my sister. It's her 21st today, she's having a do tomorrow night and I haven't got anything to wear (I suppose I could find something but shopping with my sister sounds more fun). Will see lots of family that I haven't seen since August so I'm looking forward to that. Not looking forward to the inevitable talk about uni, my course and the question everybody asks ("so you want to be a police officer when you leave uni?").
Ah well. Waffle, waffle, waffle. I'm in a happy mood for the first time in a long while

Happy Birthday :D.
Not my day in work again today hah!! I'm getting bad!
Knocked the vinegar bottle over and it smashed.. seconds later I dropped the salt on the floor.. it smashed.
Kept bringing the wrong food to the wrong tables - embarrasing .
Gave someone who ordered a takeway pizza the wrong pizza! One of the girls had to run after him to change it :o :o.
NEARLY dropped ice-cream on the floor while running. Luckily though I saved it :D:D for once..
Oh my gosh seriously.. that's probably not all of it!

Aww happy birthday Perdita :D:D
Lol Lea what are you like!
Been in work since 12 today, covering a girls shift who is "ill".
I have a stinking cold, going out last ngiht after work wasn';t a good idea.. was a good night though!
I met a few random friends when I finished at 8 and we watched to rugby in the bowlplex, I wans;'t best pleased that we lost :( but I managed to get totally hammered, without spending a penny! Haha was fun , then there was a fight so we had to leave through the fire exit and then we ended up wlaking to Asda... and then walking to the Kebab shop haha. Ahhh funny night :)
Had a lovely day yesterday, it was my birthday and OH spoilt me a little bit (never thought I would say it but: I DESERVE IT). Went shopping and he bought me a nice top (I chose) and some sandals to wear when we go to his step-daughter's wedding in Mauritius in April and they are an exact match to the colours in the dress I bought  Then had a glass of champagne at 1400 hrs, the time I was born and had a lovely meal out in the evening. Think I had a bit too much wine though
Sound slike you had a great brithday. How many bumps was it this year? :p
My sister's 21st party last night. It was really good to catch up with family. A fight nearly broke out between my brother in law and my sister's friends  Was a rather calm affair compared to what usually happens when our family gets together.
I got a gorgeous pair of shoes when I went shopping yesterday  and lots of clothes.
Just finished packing :( Not sure if I should get the next train or wait for a few hours.
I ended up spilling all to someone who is in my group for a module in the early hours of this morning :hmm: I can't even remember what I said, just that it was something I shouldn't have told him. I hope it's not going to be awkward tomorrow when I see him.
Sound slike you had a great brithday. How many bumps was it this year? :p
One bump more than last year :D :ninja:
Glad you had a good day perdy :D
Ive had such a lazy day today, I started to do some of my biology homework cos I dunno when its in for, then I got stuck
I also have an essday due in for tuesday which I did half on friday
Its weird I can only do work in the library so I'll be spending a lot of time there tomorrow
I work better in the library, less distractions.
I'm so tired. Shower and bed again methinks. Catch up on some tv then get an early night.
I think thats what it is, although it can get pretty noisy in our library, I think im just more motivated in the library too :p

Man what a day I have had. Marley had a judo competition in Grangemouth near Falkirk we arrived there at 9.30 this morning to get her weighed. Then we went to the hall but couldn't get in as if was full, the beginers were fighting and we had to wait until they had finished I ended up waiting another two hours before I could get into the hall by this time it was 1pm. Marley had to wait until 5pm before she was called to fight, she was to fight 5 but only managed 2 as she bent two fingers backwards and they were all swelled up. Didn't get home until 8pm tonight as I had to wait 40 minutes for a train then another 20 minutes for a bus.
Hope Marley's fingers will be ok soon :)

Anyone got any lucky white Heather, my weeks has got worse. I went to the cash machine this morning to get some cash and the flamming machine chewed my card because the card was expired and I didn't know. Went to the bank at lunch-time to tell them what happened you'd think I was applying to join the FBI and not withdraw a few quid with the questions they asked. They said they sent out the new card on 19 Jan but I didn't get it. Then went to pick Marley up from school and her had was still all swollen so I decided to take her to hospital. She has two broken bones in her hand and has a cast on for a week.
Sorry to hear about your current situation, very frustrating time at the bank, but I suppose with so much fraud around these days, the banks need to be very cautious. Does not help you when you are in a rush though. Poor Marley, two broken bones, must be painful :( Hope it all heals quickly :)
A few people on one of my modules (myself included) have succeeded in getting the 7000 word count reduced to 3000 :D Makes life so much easier, although we did get a telling off for going to the award leader instead of the lecturer. It wasn't planned and nobody had any intentions of going to the top, it just came up in conversation with the leader yesterday.
I've been feeling ill these past couple of days. I'm not sure why, it's not as if I was dancing the night away on Saturday, I was sat down talking to people. I haven't been sleeping well recently. It gets to about 5am (couple of hours after I drop off) and I'm wide awake but my body is tired :( I despair of myself sometimes.
Got an assignment back yesterday and I lost 10% for not including a picture of the lecturer  I got 70%, doesn't count for anything though.
Newcastle Thursday to Monday :) Got lots of work to do, our group got given the task of writing risk assessments and health and safety reports for everyone involved, a total of 35 people. Not sure if we have to write one on ourselves. A risk assessment for the risk assessors? :hmm: Add that the the five other RA and HS reports we have to do and it's going to be a busy weekend. They don't take long to knock up but 40 of each is going to take a while.
I had a driving lesson today. It was really good, I got to drive home :) It was a 2 hour one though. My dad's friend passed me at one point, I bet he takes the mick because I pulled in to let him pass (instructor told me to.) I had a bus in the opposite lane to the one I was going into after a right turn and ended up touching the kerb. I hate buses :p Mine was late from school and I thought I was going to be late for my lesson.
Work done this evening = 0. Oops.

I've had a good day today :D.
Had a driving lesson - first in like 4 months. I haven't forgotten everything :D. I was pretty good actually :p A little rusty at some things, but mostly really good.
Then I went to town and bought Notting Hill, a baguette and a can of coke.. had me a mini movie day . Love Notting Hill :D And it was only 3.99.
And just got back from a drive with some mates. It was so fun :D. And she let me drive her car around the car park :p haha. Me and my mate on the way back to drop me off were singing my life would suck without you top of our voices, with the song on full blast, was really funny.
Now I'm relaxing with a glass of cider :D.

Aw Lea that sounds so nice and chilled lol, I envy you. :(
I've had enough of today. Roll on tomorrow, the other day there was a barmy between me and 2 other friends, it was my fault for saying something to them, but I ahd been asked to go out so I said yes, then it jsut got brought up in conversation and I found out that the friend who asked me planned to go out with the other, and when I asked the other if anyone was going out, he denied it, and the other was like, yeah we're going out... come. I let rip, I shoudln't have, buit I know for a fact I wouldn't have been invited out if I hadn't mentioned anything. Anyways, in school today the one who denied it took 3 of the girls and 1 guy to town, and left me all on my own at dinner, I wouldn't have gone anyways because I'm not going to be pally pally with him over his car... but the way he did it was jsut so childish... I need my own car :(
Then I had work tonight, we had this really funny gay guy in, aww he made my night bless him he was class :D
However.... Lea, you're not the only one who does stupid stuff! I somehow managed to get cream on these 2 ladies jackets, I really don't know how! I felt so bad! They didn't mind though... but then the other one found another spot pof cream and went and said to the other waitress "I don't know what I've done to deserve this".... I feel really bad, but I didn't do it on purpose!
Sorry, end of rant. I'm so annoyed today lol can you tell?

Risk assessments are so annoying! I have to get a plan for this report done for Friday and all I have is a sheet out of a book she gave us. I don't actually know how to do the experiment e.g. method! Time for some googling.
There is so many roadworks on at the moment on my way to college! On the way back an ambulance was trying to get through a dual carriageway full of traffic. :S It was like that scene out of Bruce Almighty when the cars part to the side.
My mum's birthday tomorrow. Her present hasn't arrived. So much for their 3-10 day delivery promise!!  They have got an annoyed email from me! I'm not going to tell her what is though, don't want to spoil the surprise.

Aww no, hopefully you'll get it soon Stars! :)
My night jsut got ten times worse! I had an essay due in for tomorrow, did quite a bit earlier and jsut had to finish it which I could do when I got in from work, was looking for it, and it's not in my documents, and why not.. because stupi me rushed to get to work and jsut switched my computer off without saving the essay... I've lost it all! I was doing really well on it aswell and I jsut ahve no concentration and I don't knwo what to write.. I may jsut have to skip first lesson tomorrow to save my head, but I don't want to miss anymore lessons because I'm getting behind.. Grrrr!
Start by writing down the bits that you can remember. It may only be little bits but they could jog your memory.
I am so happy... my pole dancing classes are starting up again at the end of the month.. I missed them :cheer::cheer:

Your fella been mising them too? :D

My friend has a lecture on lap dancing this afternoon  Quite how that relates to sociology I'm not quite sure.
I've got 350 words so far :) Only another 2000 to go. Rate I'm going though, shouldn't take me long. I've not even tried hard to get the words down, they just came to me. Of course, I could be writing entirely the wrong thing
What a busy bee I've been today. Even managed to delete my internet connection when installing an update :crying: Luckily it came back when I did a system restore. Won't be downloading that "update" again :ninja:
Going to have something to eat then pack for tomorrow. Long weekend in Newcastle (and a shedload of work) here I come.
i got 300 words of my essay, finally got the internet back in the house so that makes my life easier.
There was a crash on Anglesey at the weekend and two of the victims lived on my road, so its really sad
Just watching telly tonight, got a bit of a cold
I'm so tired :( Had a really good day yesterday, got quite a bit of work done and also managed nine hours of sleep straight without waking up or having random dreams (very unusual for me).
Had two lectures today. They weren't too bad, second one was about the tsunami which has got me thinking about a career after uni. Forensic anthropology or human idenification :hmm:

havent been in here for a while
the last few weeks have been pretty boring. just been trying to do all the work that i have to do! :( ive had to visit a few rubbishy theatres for my portfolio which have been boring! i dont even know what im meant to be writing for the project, ive got all the research but no idea what im meant to do with it!
ive also had to see loads of shows for one of my modules, which isnt working out cheap as we have to keep going to london. yesterday we saw a mark ravenhill show which was meant to be about the berlin wall but was weird, it ended with one twin killing his brother and then eating him! though last saturday we went to see a show called "traces" which was a dance/circus show which was amazing, i loved it! :D
ive finally got my module changed for next year too, so i can now specialise in what i want to do which is a relief! :) although they didnt actually inform me that it had been changed and i was just about to go up there and complain which would have made me look like a right idiot!

Back at the hospital with Marley, she's got the cast removed but now got a spinter on. Back to the hospital next week and no sports for a month.
Glad that Marley's bones are healing. She must be glad to have the cast off. I have never had a cast but I know that people who had broken bones find the cast uncomfortable after a while, to say the least.
Had a pretty good afternoon :) For some reason I feel like things are coming together, finally. We got some help from our lecturer (at long last) and he gave us some risk assessment sheets that have made our lives so much easier.
Have a three hour lab session next Tuesday afternoon so I miss my lecture :D
One of my lecturers has won the lottery, BIG money. Like millions
I really like a guy, the same guy that I mentioned in my last post :hmm: I don't know why, he's not what I'd usually go for. Maybe because he cares enough to ask how I really am. I told him pretty much everything, including things that even my best friends don't know, yet I don't feel embarrassed that he knows, like I do with other people :searchme:
TBH, I'm scared to get into a relationship. I don't want someone to look after me when I'm ill, it's not fair on them. But on the other hand, I do want someone to take care of me. Why does life have to be so complicated?
Going to get my post now, mum has sent me some birthday cake.

Having no inernet has done me loads good lately, I'm catching up on school work and getting decent sleep but I miss my internet alot at times lol
I don't know what I'd do without my internet. It's an integral part of me; having no internet is like having my right arm cut off. (Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration but you get my drift :p)
My right arm nearly fell off the amount of writing i had to do in my lecture!!!
I got a blister and everything
I really cant decide what to do after my degree i quite like the idea of a masters, then i can have more letters after my name, fancy a change from law though! Maybe social sciences could be fun
Are iternet is finally back, thankfully really need it to try and find a place to live for next year.

I'm getting silent phone calls. It's starting to annoy me now. They're from a London number, which I don't recognise (don't know anyone who lives in London). Had four in the last ten minutes.
I've done half of one of my assignments. I think I'm going in the wrong direction with this one too :hmm:
Had a bit of email banter with my mum and dad tonight over easter eggs. Was rather funny. Mum has bought easter eggs so she emailed my sisters and asked which they wanted. There were seven eggs listed and only six people in the running, so I asked if I was having two because I'm not with anybody (both sisters have husband/boyfriend). She sent one back saying I'm a cheeky bugger and I'm getting one.

Spoke to my sister who lives near me, she is going down to Leeds tomorrow to say with my other sister as her husband is in hospital and she is going to stay for a few days. My brother in law has problems with his liver due to heavy drinking over the years but last weekend he fell in the house and broke his hip and has been in hospital since it happened. Fingers crossed he is going to be okay he's only 56
Hope he recovers soon and maybe during the stay in hospital they can do something for his liver problems too.

I'm getting silent phone calls. It's starting to annoy me now. They're from a London number, which I don't recognise (don't know anyone who lives in London). Had four in the last ten minutes.
just ignore them. thats what i do when a number keeps ringing me that i dont know

Those calls can make people feel quite frightened. If they persist, call your phone company and let them know or even the police. Nuisance phone calls are a form of harassment. I got them a few years ago and needed to change my home number in the end, got them at work too, got the police involved, they were not able to help but the calls stopped after a while.
My parents are coming on Wednesday to help move some of my stuff out :) I'm not looking forward to deciding what's staying for a few weeks and what can go home with them. Looking around there's not much but by time I've finished sorting the kitchen, wardrobe and under my bed, I won't be able to move
There's a warning to all you guys going to uni in September: only take what you really need, you won't need the kitchen sink. Also, take your own tea towels and dishcloths and HIDE them. I had to throw mine away because they were used for all sorts of things and I couldn't get the smell out of them.
Got some information on my exam this afternoon. It doesn't sound too hard really. Fifty multiple choice questions worth one or three marks each, then five ten-mark questions. Need 105 marks for a first and 60 to pass.

I got paid the other day and so I'm getting a car on Friday :D needs some work done which my Uncle will do for me so in 2 weeks or less I will be out on the roads :D yay! Woo! Hope its got tax, insurance and mot. ;) :p What kind is it?
Haha actually, it only has tax, it failed MOT on something and because I haven't got ti yet we won't insure it until it's al ready to go. It only cost me 50 quid... 150 quid inlcuding MOT and the part I need for it to pass MOT.. so all is good :p
I'm on track with school stuff again... slowly.
We had our results back yesterday, gained 7 marks inmy english language resit... but my teacher said thats fine and now looks like I have a C at AS English Language but I actually went down a grade n RE! I wa gutted, but I still get to keep my D. I have a C overall, I just hate ebing stuck with my 2 D's which will drag me down :/ ah well
I'm just dossing about this afternoon, my head hurts and Im babysitting my sister... then I need to get my act together for work later on. Joyous...
 my niece was told on her lunch break that her job has been cut.. no notice and she has to be out by today.. that is totally shocking!!

Oh my god really??
What does she do?
Why was she cut?
Surely she can complain about this?
That is very bad news. Does your niece have any way of going to a tribunal? Surely just getting rid of her without any notice contravenes labour law

I'm standing as a representative for the science and health faculty on the student union. It's part of a large scheme by 20-odd people to take over the union and run it as it should be. The current president has done sod all for the past year and is very conservative. We're looking at a union where people are free to express their views, however extreme they may be (obviously there will be some boundaries).
All my flatmates have gone home so it's very quiet :) I can get my stuff sorted in the kitchen.
Im watching Comic Relief, some of its really heartbreaking, donated a tenner every little helps

She has cancer, but it was being treated, this wasn't expected .....feel in shock, worried about how he will cope with Mothers Day.

yesterday we had to look round the local theatre, it was boring and totally pointless, none of us wanted to be there! had to hand my portfolio in as well which was such a rush and my ink cartridge was running out but i didnt have a new one so i had to hand it in with the pictures a funny colour! also had to pay £6 for a taxi to go and hand it in cos i missed the first bus and the last bus i could get before i would be late didnt turn up! then had to see a show in the evening, it was alright but im annoyed cos i had to pay £10 for a ticket (should have been £20 but got it for student price) which would normally be good but cos of this new scheme where under 26s can get tickets for free we could have got them for free! its so annoying cos a few of the shows i have been to have been like that or the lecturer hasnt got us student tickets!

Had to buy a new hoover as my Dyson died after nine loyal years service. Where we live we have access to skips for rubbish and OH went to throw the old hoover out after we had done our shopping. When I put the shopping away, I missed one shopping bag. Yes, OH had thrown it out with half of the old hoover bits. Went back to get rid off the box of the new Dyson and found my shopping next to the old hoover in the skip. Luckily it was there only half an hour and it did not rain and all the shopping was wrapped well

Finally back online after three days of no internet. Some idiot managed to crash the servers on this campus, Stafford, Lichfield and Shrewsbury  Must have been the most boring weekend I've ever had. I went out Saturday night about 1am and loads of people were having parties. Amazing how much people socialise when there's no internet
I did get quite a bit of work done. Pretty much finished one of my assignments and got three lectures worth of notes condensed.
Went shopping yesterday with Sam. He split up with his girlfriend again, second time in four days. They're more off than on. He's starting to annoying me now with it all. It's always the same: they have an argument, split up, he rings me, I waste several hours of my life listening to him ramble on, then he goes back to her. I'm starting to feel used, especially after he rang me at 8.30am this morning. I didn't answer it, he rang me seven times in two hours. Left a voicemail to say they were back together then kept ringing  I'm past the point of caring.

It has been really weird lately.
2 of my mates split with their boyfriends... so both are really upset.. they're from two different sets of mates, so I'm not sure who to be there for.. like tonight.. will get to that in a min..
Then another mate is like rather ill.. and well there's a story about that, but can't go into it.. so I'm trying to be there for her too and her brother was in a crash yesterday.. not serious but still.. and other horrible stuff been happening to her lately.
Then one of my mates who split with the bf.. i'll call her Ellie... well I said to Ellie yesterday that I might pop in tomorrow (meaning tonight).. cheer her up a bit like... but then my mates from Crymych might be coming to see me now :s which includes the other girl who split with her bf.. i'll call her Zoe... and my mate who is ill... I'll call her Hannah.... so..
Now I can't go see Ellie.. and be there for her.. which means I'm letting her down.. even though she's now going up to Rachel and Tina's... where I was invited to..
And I'm lying to them, cos I know they'll go mad... just so I can spend time with Hannah and Zoe and be there for them.. cos they live farish away, I thought I can't see them as much like.. so I dunno :crying:. It's all so hard!!!! It's not meant to be hard for me :p.
I feel bad now :(. What would you do :S.

Business = nightmare. I have to have 30 questionnaires filled out by Friday, analyse them and prepare a new product based on the results! I have 9 so far; if anyone doesn't mind filling out a questionnaire PM me. It's mainly about mobile phones, spending, TV use and the internet.
Today it was quite sunny and we were in the common room at lunch. Everyone went outside and this boy came up to me and asked me if it was actually lunchtime
I don't mind doing a questionnaire Kim.
Had a great night out, met loads of new people and talked to people I knew but didn't know (if that makes sense). About ten of us (half the class) had a three hour lab session this afternoon and we're all so hung over and tired, it was such a struggle. My friend wants me to go for a Patrick's day drink with him but I really can't face any more alcohol just yet.

Been dead busy at work this week sorting through application forms for new students, plus trying to organise work placements for current students, what a nightmare. Brother-in-law still really poorly since the begining of the week he as devleoped pneumonia, MRSA and C-Dif while in hospital. He has been moved to intesive care were he was put in a drug infusted coma on Monday night but they brought him round yesterday. they are thinking of puting a tracerostomy in his throat tomorrow.
I've had a busy day. Managed to get one of my assignments squared away. One down, seven to go.
Really can't believe there's only two weeks of semester left. I've met so many people in the last week and I don't really want to leave.
Very busy at work for the next few weeks, but happy about it as well. My stars for this year said I would have a challenging but rewarding year career wise, so I am well up for it :)

You should tell them your getting behind your work and from now on your only working up to 14 hours otherwise they'll just keep taking advantage.
I need to get a filling I think. I only eat chocolate like once a month whyyy lol. It doesn't hurt though so I'll leave it a couple of weeks. I have far to much stuff on. Music exam, music concert, 3 pieces of coursework. *cries*
Aww, Kirsty, you have had a bad week. Pity about the car but there are plenty of other ones, and probably in better condition, waiting for you.
Watch that you don't burn yourself out working all those hours, it is not worth it. Good news about your dental work now being complete, so you can give us all a big :D

The condition of your teeth might not have something to do with your snacking habits or how and how often you clean your teeth, a lot of it your dental condition has to do with genetics, so my dentist told me years ago, as I have always taken great care of my gnashers but needed lots of fillings when I was a teenager. Not so bad now :D
Been off ill both yesterday and today cause of a viral infection. Dreading tomorrow it will be a year since Alyson has gone and i'm gutted, never thought i would feel like this again :crying: .

Just been dancing tonight, was alright :) now I'm jsut watching Skins and getting on with school work!
Been off ill both yesterday and today cause of a viral infection. Dreading tomorrow it will be a year since Alyson has gone and i'm gutted, never thought i would feel like this again :crying: .
Hope you will be ok :)

Today is my 4th birthday on SB. Happy Birthday to me.
Happy birthday to you Kath! :D
Almost got my 2000 word assignment finished, just need another 300 words. Got my conclusion to write so I'm pretty much done.
Only three hours of lectures next week, instead of the usual eight. Two lots of group work to do though, 1000 assignment and a poster so that makes up for the lecture hours I've lost.
After those are done I've got a 1000 assignment and a photographic booklet to put together and that's pretty much it :cheer: Two exams to revise for at the end of April, half way through condensing my notes for one of the exams. Well on my way to finishing the year off :D
My mum has set up her new computer this evening. Had a bit of a to-do today with a cable that was loose in the box. She knows how to use the internet and office software and that's about it so her and my sister (who doesn't know a great deal about the inside of computers) spent two hours fiddling around with the motherboard trying to put this cable in  Needless to say, I'm not impressed. I have quite a bit of experience with computers but it's a bit difficult living 100 miles away. Mum sent me a long email describing what it looks like (a picture would have been much easier and quicker).Turns out the cable isn't needed. All is well and it's running fine.

On a positive note :D... Duncan Jones from the Welsh rugby team was in today :D. When I cleared his table.. he asked me.... Where are the prawns from, they're lovely!!! :D :D. Gosh. :p
Is Duncan like, really famous in the Rugby world?
I hope your mate is ok, and everyone else who is feeling sick on the boards are getting better :)

Just found out my Dad's aunty died.. From cancer but I think she had it in her stomach? Not sure.. We found out around the same time Jade Goody had found hers and she had been given the same time to live too :( Meant to be a happy day as well *sigh* :( RIP to both of them now x
Sorry about your dad's auntie :(
Had a good weekend, celebrating my friend's birthday. She is still getting treatment for breast cancer, so quite an emotional day.
Lots of washing and ironing and catching up with the soaps now. :)

Visited my friend in hospital today, cos we had the afternoon off. She seems alright :D. But has to stay in again tonight, her test results still aren't back :(. She's been there since Fri evening!
Hope your friend will be ok soon and back out of hospital. :)
What a busy day. Crime scene house to do a sketch. Took us three goes to measure the room right :hmm: Chose my modules, not allowed to do cyber crime because it's a core level three option. So I've got history of crime instead. Not sure about it. Then it was on to do a poster which took two hours. Was rather fun though, we did it on a case about a vampire killing.
Not going out tonight. I want to have an early night in preparation for another group meeting and a 1000 word report.
It's really windy today. The second I finished straightening my hair this morning, it started raining  Gale force winds and heavy rain :(
Hope your friend is ok Lea :)
Im soooo stressed, got loads of coursework to do and drama exam tomorrow :S

Yep. The wind is so strong that if I open my window, it pulls the door open. Even if I lock the door, it still rattles.
The sun set doesn't look bad at the moment though.
