Aww well done Katy :D All your hard work paid off look! :)
I'm having a horrible day. I went to the dentist, but I haven't been since I was 7/8 because I hate them, but it wasn't very good really and I have to go back in a month for fillings and to have 2 of my teeth out (though i'm not surprised, they both have a big hole in thema nd are giving me grief) my dentist wasn't very nice though, ugh he really made me feel liek rubbish lol.
I'm on antibiotics because they coudl see an absus (sp?) coming so I can't have alcohol :( no parties anytime soon for me then lol. At least my teeth will be all better in a month though!
I ahve a really bad headache now and I have work at 5, this is going to be fun..
Well done katy:D
OMG biology exam tomorrow, Im S**ting it!
Good luck for your exam Abbie.
I really don't understand any of this photography stuff. Focal lengths, apertures, shutters, exposure, metering... None of it makes sense.
I'm going home tomorrow for the weekend. Had a bit of an argument with Sam :( He always expects me to be there when he has a problem but this morning he said he didn't care when I talked to him about something. He thinks that getting a lift back with a guy who has a girlfriend is cheating emotionally  Applying that logic to our relationship, he's emotionally cheating with me.
Can't wait to get away from this place for a few days.

Good day.
Rubbish evening.
Ah well, roll on the weekend :(.
Not looking forward to first hour and half tomorrow either.. might skip it and go to work in the library or go for a walk.. depending on the weather.. but I dunno.. might go and if I hate it, just walk out. Meh.
Can't wait til tomorrow night. I am just gonna drink all night (yes, by myself - fun, fun).
I could smash a glass I'm so angry and fed up. Why do guys have to screw with you?

I'm so tiredddd. Work was good tonight thoguh :) I did get a bit intimidated though by these 2 girls who were in my school before they left came in and then the one realsied who i was and I heard "OMG".. then they just kept giving mye the dirtiest looks ever!... Oh well, silly little girls! :)
Grr I'm trying to cut down on sugar but it's proving difficult :( I didn't have pop in work though, I had water, and I have a gladd of milk instead of squash... but I also have a few miniature Heroes sat next to me too. I think I was shocked in all fairness and slightly upset because I do look after my teeth. Grr I brush them like 2 3 sometimes 4 times a day! :(
I'm going home in an hour. My lecture finished early, we were all bored silly. My friend was sat at the back counting the number of 'erms' the lecturer was saying, 206 in the first five mins  Two hour IFS lectures are going to be the bane of my life for the next twelve weeks if we have him every week.
Not every lecture can be interesting and not every lecturer can make it interesting but twelve weeks will fly by, I am sure. Just hang on in there, as they say :)
Had my biology exam today I was revising for like 4 hours before the exam, felt much bettwe about eveything so it was worth it.
It was bettwe than expected though just some questions I wasnt sure on but made good guesses since I spoke to other people what they put afterwards and it seems alright
Hopefully I will have got a C

Ahh I have not stopped for the past three days.
Theatre Tuesday to see Tons of Money - very good reccommend it :D. Yesterday went to the cinema to see Slumdog millionaire but it was sold out! So we came back and watched the Jungle Book. We are such kids. Today went to a college theatre production which was good.
And I've been doing all my work in between. Phew. Although my biology teacher annoyed me today. I saw her in college when I was going to the college play thing and she asked if I got her email which I did but when I said I thought she'd sent the wrong one because it didn't have any corrections on it she just waved her hand and walked off. Okk...The one time I was actually going to hand in my work early I can't because I need to look at the corrections and suggestions she said she'd made. Hopefully she'll send it tomorrow so I can do it over the weekend.
I am sooo hacked off and frustrated. All week my computer at work has not worked properly because of a virus and my internal email is not working at all today and I know that people have sent me emails which I need to read urgently, there is a lot of info I need before attending a meeting on Monday. It also will not be very bright outside today as it is raining and very windy, prefer it when it is really cold but sunny. :( Looking forward to the weekend though
Computers, they never work when you want them to. HOpe it gets sorted out.
Bet your glad that the exam is now over Abbie.
Have you got an IT tech who can look at your computer Perdita?
I was asleep by 9pm last night  Slept for 14 hours :cheer: I'm rather annoyed, I ordered a book from Amazon and paid for first class delivery so it would arrive here yesterday. Mum was out when the postman came so it went to the sorting office. Today they haven't bothered to deliver it again so mum has gone up to the sorting office to collect it. I didn't pay extra for first class delivery for somebody to go collect it
Going in to town this afternoon. Weather isn't too good.
1 exam to gooooo! :p
I feel like I can relax now :)

Awww work was manic tonight, but very good :) Althgouh my tips for the first 2 weeks are poor lol, but it's only jsut started to pick up in there so that was expected.
I had an email saying my Ucas status had changed... I had an unsuccessful from the one Uni I really wanted to go too. Great. I told myself I wasn't going to get worked up about it.. but I'm actually really annoyed with myself :(

Aww I know thats happened to loads of other people, and funnily enough all the same uni
What about the others, do you like them? What are the grades like?
CrazyLea
24-01-2009, 00:36
Aw which uni was it Kirst? Try not to beat yourself up about it hun :(.
Kirsty :]
24-01-2009, 00:43
Newport Uni. Why do I always leave everythign until last minute. I'm soo stupid with it.
I do like the other Uni's, the grades were quite high for Newport I suppose... I really didn't fancy ging too far from home though. I like the other Unis and I'm being considered at the rest.. apart from Brighton which I've heard absolutely nothing from.
I still havent heard from all of mine either, Im still waiting from one
What are the other unis grades like?
Kirsty :]
24-01-2009, 00:45
Aroudn abouts 3 c's or 2 c's and a b
Is that good for what you want to do and what you think you will get?
Cos thats what I think about it like Ive but one high one in that wants ABB to see what happens, doubt I'll get it
Which other uni did you like best? you never know the others might be better unis?
Kirsty :]
24-01-2009, 00:49
Yeahh maybe, I hope so. I like Glamorgan and Brighton.. but Brighton is so far away.
I ahven't even told my Nan yet, I can't.. I don't want to be a disspointment.. I'm supposed to eb the one who'll make a go of it and go to Uni and that in my family.. I don't wanna seem stupid lol
Aww kirsty its just the one and so early on as well, dont feel down about it
And they wont be disspointed they will understand and again its the first one youve heard from
You can still make a go of it! :D
Try not to discount Brighton because of the distance. I was very worried about distance when i applied, so i came to Portsmouth, which is about 1 and a hlf hours away from home. But to be honest, once your away, your away. You could be an hour down the motorway, or five, it wouldn't make much of a difference. If getting trains home is easy and reasonably priced then at least you will know that if you ever need to get home, you can at the drop of a hat. Best of luck for your other applications :)
Aww, sorry to learn about your disappointment Kirsty, but there will be other offers :) You have done very well to get this far and will continue to do so, I am sure.
I wouldnt worry about the one unsuccessful, i had the same as i didnt get into Oxford Brookes, and i really wanted to go. You'll end up enjoying whereever you go once your there. You will make the right decision in the end
I am going out for lunch with a friend and then i am going back to bangor in the morning, i have had a very nice chilled out week. Its been nice but a bit weird, theres a lot of stuff going on which i am not in control of so there is not a lot i can do and i feel kind of useless but hopefully it will sort itself out soon enough.
I was babysitting last night, I was on my own though cos there dog had gone missing :(
I felt really sick when I woke up this morning, well that was only an hours and a half ago, I feel a bit better now which is good cos I have work later
It's really cold here now :(
Watched three episodes of 24 this afternoon. Want to watch more but a friend text me to go online. Just got up to a really juciy part. I screamed really loudly at one point, my mum shouted from her bedroom to ask if I was ok
Apart from that I've just been sleeping. A ridiculous number of hours of my weekend home have been spent in bed :thumbsdow Serves me right really for all those morning I went to bed at 6am in the past couple of weeks.

567 words done...2433 to go. Oh the joys of history coursework!
731 done, 789 to go... English.
I feel so crappy! Just been at work it was pretty busy and I got pain :p took my mind of it as well
I have a sore shoulder and a sore neck. But tonight has been good had another good heart to heart with my best friend, something we needed and i told her how i felt about her boyfriend basically that he was an arrogant clingy ******. But we had such a laugh i managed to wedge myself between lockers and then fell trying to get up it was like i was drunk but i wasn't cause i was drinking irn - bru so was/is pretty hyper :D . The only thing that's really annoying me at the moment is the fact my "K" on this keyboard doesn't work unless i press it really hard, and i don't know what i've done to it  .
Went to see Lee tonight. He's taking me back to uni tomorrow, and now mum thinks we're seeing each other. If only she knew the full story...
Looking forward to going back. Memory foam pillows  Need to sort things out with Sam too :hmm: I told him I'd ring when I got back on Thursday and didn't.
Can't remember if I've said, went shopping yesterday and got a £60 coat for £20. Bargain of the month
Kirsty :]
25-01-2009, 00:36
That is one good bargain Abigail!!
I've had quite a rubbish day.. again. Had another driving lesson after having none for like 2 weeks haha, and then got home and got shouted at because I was so irritable. Pisshhh :(
Just had a bland and boring day really.
Snap. Apart from the get home and shout bit. My dad thinks I'll save money by having a few more lessons with him in mum's car before booking professional lessons so doing that at the moment. Dad was demonstrating something and the L plate flew off of the front of car haha. So much for magnetic. He should take it as a sign; they're not meant to be on the car when he's driving it :readtheru

But I dunno what ive done to my back. Im in agony. Its the top of back slash middle and im comfortable now sitting against loads of pilows and back straight when I move im in agony :( I dont know what Ive done
Sounds like you might have pulled a muscle, Abbie, if you have got a hot water bottle, you might find placing that on your back as helpful. Hope you are better again soon :) xx

i havent written in here in months! til the last few weeks its been pretty hectic!
came back to uni last monday. havent had much work to do yet, but both the modules im doing this term seem quite interesting so thats good. havent really done much else this week. was going to go to pub golf on wednesday but it started at 2pm and i couldnt go cos i had a seminar then so i was going to go later on at about 5/6pm but everyone was so wasted by that time that i decided not to go. my housemates were back by 7pm cos they were so drunk, the taxi driver had to carry one of them into our house lol cos she couldnt walk!
the only other thing ive done this week is cheerleading. theyve been making us work so hard cos theyre choosing the competition squad. on friday we had to run laps for 20mins at the beginning of training and then jump for 10mins straight after that. i thought i was gonna die by the end of it! but im glad i carried on going til the end cos quite a lot of people stopped halfway through
today all ive done is go food shopping. was gonna tidy my room cos its a mess but havent got round to it so i might do it later
and also, i know it was a while ago, but it was my 21st bday a week before xmas so me and my family went to belgium for the weekend which was lovely :) the chocolate was amazing! :D

well no she cant actually ban us but she keeps moaning that it doesnt need to be on during the day. she goes home every weekend so weve had it on quite a bit the last few days. i dont normally mind whether the heatings on or not but lately its been so cold in here that even ive wanted the heating on! i can see where shes coming from cos it is expensive but we are all gonna freeze otherwise lol!

she probably does that anyway, i think she sits in the dark lol! whenever i come back to the house in the evening i can never see her light on! she moans that we have the hot water on constantly too, which i know is costing a lot of money, but we all have showers at different times and i dont wanna have to have a shower only when the hot waters on!
It is more expensive to heat the water a couple of times a day rather than keeping it at a certain temperature. Same with the heating, it will cost less to maintain the temperature rather than the heating having to work full blast to raise the temperature in the house.

Can you not regulate the temperature in your rooms individually? I need at least 23 degrees to be comfortable but I appreciate that others are happy at a lower temperature (OH likes it cooler - always causes problems in winter, but I tend to win :D)

erm what do you mean? we have the temperature thingy in the hall which you put the temperature you want on, and then apart from that its just how high you want the individual radiators. the problem isnt that she thinks its too hot, but that it costs too much money which is why she wants it off altogether

awwwww no, was it not a good journey back then?
Can you not alter the thermostat on the radiators themselves? There's a turny knob thing on the bottom of one side. Not sure of it's exact purpose though :hmm:
I think Im gonna try having a bath for my back

The journey was fine. I'm just an idiot and didn't see it coming. Or maybe I did and chose to ignore it.
It's a long story and you wouldn't be interested.

If you have radiators in your rooms, you can choose to turn it on or off or have it on low rather than full blast, like I would have it :) Especially if the thermostat was set low because that will control the heat of the radiator.
^ That's what I meant. Didn't know how to say it.

yeh thats what i mean, we have the individual radiator controls, but that would still mean having the main heating control on all day which is what shes annoyed about! even when the heatings on, about half of the radiators in the house are off anyway so its not even like theyre all on full!
You should also tell her that it can be very expensive if a pipe bursts in cold temperatures because there was no heating as the insurance company would probably not pay up due to negligence. You are meant to have the heating on at least frost precaution.

we had it like that while we were away over xmas cos i said i didnt want a pipe bursting but now we are back its gone back to being off again. tbh everytime we talk to her about it she just argues with us and i dont want loads of arguments lol so itll just be kept probably where we keep turning it back on and when she realises she will turn it back off!

I had work today 1-6 but it was busy so I was asked to stay until 7 instead. Was alright though... hottie wasn't in :( boohoo haha but that's alright.. I had no distractions :p
I've jsut ahd one of my Nans amazing cook dinners... I ahven't had one since Christmas Day!..and Wild At Heart is on! I forgot! So I'm happy lol
Oh and I told my Nan about not gettign into Newport, it randomly came up so I had no choice but to tell her, she didn't mind and I told ehr I never said anythgin ebcause I don't want them to think I'm stupid but she said she doesn't mind and she doesn't think I'm stupid at all :)
So even though I'm completely shattered, i'm in a good mood :)
I have my cervical cancer jab tomorrow though... whcih i'm not looking forward too, but I'd rather have less chance of getting that type of cancer resulting alot more pain over a longer perios of time.
Today i haven't really been doing anything. It's that time of the month for me but surprise surprise the pain hasn't been as bad as usual! I'm normally in pain all the way through but i've not think it may be cause i'm back on the pill again. So i haven't been studying cause when i wanted to i couldn't concentrate so just been on this, listening to music and msn.
I am in love with Jason Mraz, Duffy, Alesha Dixon & Rent Soundtrack. All Albums are amazing  :p .
Got to study for my history exam tomorrow, then i'm heading up the town afterwards with my best friend. But then back to normal tiimetable on wednesday and i don't want it to be. :(

I need to go food shopping! I literally have nothing in the house apart from a tub of phillidelphia! Iceland here i come, just spent the last hour tidying my room its slowly getting there ihave no idea how it got into such a state.
Then need to go to the library pick up my book, go and get my essay cover sheets, arrange a meeting to see my course leader, buy food, get a new ink cartridge and a file for my next terms work. And then try and finish off my work as well as all that. So im thinking i should probably be a bit more action and a little less mouth if i am going to complete those tasks before midnight!

An old banger is the best to get just after you pass your test, my current car was only £300 I've bumped it a few times but you can't tell.
Nissan Primera is what I have now. Nice solid bumpers. :p

It was a coincidence :p But they are reliable. Before we had our renault we had a nissan for 18 years!
Yeah I would never have wanted a new car when I first passed. :p
A friend of a friend passed her test first time with no minors. She got a brand new car and wrote it off two days later.
Had a busy day so far. Went to the park to take some pictures of random things, altering the shutter speed and focal length. I'm starting to understand it now :)

I've just got back from the doctors and I've had my first HPV jab. I have to go back in a month now. My arm is dead.. then comes back to life again. The injection stung but I'm glad I got it done.. it was over within like 5 seconds
I don't knwo what to do now.. I need to do school work, I just have no motivation, and I have dancing later.

Got an another offer which made my day. And lessons were pretty ok, after every biolgoy lesson though Im actaully having to re-write notes and use my revsion guide to make notes. My mum has pretty much spent the whole night looking on the exeter uni website, we are in love with the place, but its still very early days yet

That is just not fair, if they rent out to students, they need to make sure that things are sorted out quickly, they get plenty of dosh for it. Luckily it is not the height of summer where things would go off even quicker. Hope you get it sorted soon :)

I've had such a pants day it's unreal.
I'm really fed up lately with everything and I don't know why.
I went into school today for one lesson and she wasn't even in so that was a complete waste of time.
I cannot take a whole semester of this lecture, the woman is lovely but she is a nightmare i cannot understand a word she is saying, i think its going to be another DIY course for me and read it out of a book.
Fist day back and i am pretty shattered.
I feel like im teaching myself in biology at the end of the lesson in my own time I go through what we did and use my revision guide to make more notes. It turns out Ive taught myself some stuff we havent covered yet
In presentations in class I tend to ignore my teacher and just watch and copy the presentation
Wow, wish I had your motivation Abbie.
Lol im only do it cos I have frees and the fact im sick of eating in them
Plus last term I was rubbish at biology and ever since Ive been getting offers for uni, I feel more motivation for doing work, I only hope I can keep it up :S

They're last ages. Well ours did :p.
Until we got our Kia this time last year, we had an old Nissan Bluebird, it was a state  we had it for about 10 years, and it was second hand, it lasted ages, and never failed the MOT (surprisngly )
I want a car :( If I had money, that's the first thing I'd do. Then I'd finish my lessons with this woman by me who charges a fiver if you have your own car.. she's SOOO old though.. she taught my friends grandmother!!!! But has good results. I can't wait to find a job again, so I can continue my lessons :crying: frustrates me.. haven't had a lesson since about October.. she said I would have passed by Christmas.. now I bet I've forgotten everything lol!!!!!! My day hasn't been bad. Had to give a presentation in one of my lectures, which went ok.
Been in bed since I got in around 5.30pm. I'm really tired at the moment :( Lee was texting me and I said I wasn't well enough to talk on the phone. phoned up the company who own my house today to see why no one had come to look at our fridge. apparently the guy i spoke to said it wasnt his fault cos some woman was meant to be sorting it out and she wasnt in today. but after arguing with him for about 25mins he said that hed send someone round first thing tomorrow so hopefully itll be sorted otherwise im gonna go down to the office and cause a fuss til its sorted lol!
You should also put all the faults in a letter to the company so you have proof of reporting all the faults should you have to take things further, ie. get the legal fraternity involved.

Had an alright day.
But bit of conflict with someone in the class. Who I now dislike very much. She's been bitching about a mate in the class to like loads of people, when this person has done absolutly nothing. She been saying that she's an attention seeker, needs a makeover, should straighten her hair.. etc.. SO out of order, it has pissed EVERYONE off. She told many different people, little did she know we all talk. Then we told the person, she was of course a bit upset, but least she knows what a bitch the other girl is, and she said she was glad we told her. So one of the girls is gonna have a quiet word with her tomorrow, see why she's been saying stuff. The bitchy girl has been pissing everyone off lately, this just took the biscuit. The nice girl is one of the lovliest people you will ever meet, and she is so pretty, so god knows what the other girl is on, she thinks she's a princess and that she's amazing, when she is really NOT! Has wound me up big time. Can't wait until tomorrow now though.
Sounds like the bitchy girl is jealous and feeling very insecure.

well most of the time ive emailed them and ive saved all the emails. and ive also kept notes of when ive phoned them cos im gonna write a letter of complaint to the company who own the house and the head office of the estate agents when i move out, as theyre already really horrible to us so i dont want them to get worse if we complain about them while we are still living here

Had a pretty good day. Went for dinner with Sam, really good to catch up after more than a week apart. We really missed each other. Then we went shopping. Got back about half an hour ago and now I'm deciding if I should go out tonight.
I went to the doctors and he gave me some new tablets. Don't know if I should pass on tonight and see how they affect me or go out :hmm:

how come theyre trying to ban yr12s from the library? surely you need the library to do work?
It's because some of them are being really disruptive to any other people working in there and the librarian's even enough of it. When I was in there the other day the librarian told a group to go to the common room if they wanted to mess around. One said, "We're not going there, that's for commoners," and the librarian ended up getting the head of 6th form involved. We have the "silent study room;" lets just say if it was somethig you could actually sell there'd be problems with it contravening the Trade Descriptions Act :rotfl:
i HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my bus! The driver doesn't seem to realise he has a bus full of passengers and just drives as fast as he likes, never mind the speed limits. The girl I was sitting next to yesterday wouldn't move her bag off of the seat so I ended up perching on the edge of it. Driver was going too fast round the corner and I tried to grab on to the rail thing to avoid falling off the seat and accidentally poked this boy in the back. He was the one that kept taking the mick and chucking footballs at me before and said, "Thanks for giving me rabies." Today I had to stand up again :thumbsdow I'm disabled and no one gives up their seat do they  After having a taxi driver who laughed when I got a football kicked at me and another who said I'd never be allowed to drive I'm sick of public transport. I've only had 2 driving lessons so far (not professional ones) , looks like I have to put up with that for the forseeable :crying:
And my bracelet's gone missing :( :( I can't find a similar one anywhere.
Well I had a very good night indeed. Met three guys, liked the last one the best. He's called Scott. We danced for about an hour and half then went home separetly. I'm slightly too drunk to sleep, don't think I'll make it to lectures today :hmm: Thank god for the tablets the doctor gave me otherwise I'd be in clip when I wake up.
Yuck, the first 9 oclock lecture of the year!
Hopefully i will manage to stay awake for it! we'll see, 2 hours of criminal followed by 2 hours of faily welfare, shouldnt be too bad. my mate text me a two this morning saying i think i made a really bif mistake going out tonight, will you lend me your notes, im gonna record the lecture anyway so he can have it. He hardly ever misses them and has hslped me out loads so i dont mind.

I had to see the surgeon who is going to do my back operations on Monday. I was so stressed before meeting him and when I did he was far from friendly. He was going to use Latex on me which I am higly allergic to - throat swells up, breathing gets affected etc so I had to ask him not to use it - stupid thing was it was written in bright red across my notes.
Im now having two procedures done at the same time (well one after the other but in the same op) and I am so daunted about it all. Another thing that worried me was a lady came up to my husband and told him ways in which I could ease some of my symptoms as she heard every word that was said both by me and the surgeon in the consulting room. Whatever happened to patient confidentiality?
Hope everyone that has exams etc coming up are revising well.
For those expecting babies really soon I hope all goes well with the safe delivery of baby bump:D
For those of you in stressful situations, take each day as it comes, when you make it through to bedtime you have survived that day and the end to your troubles is another day closer. Rmeber to breathe properly, nice and deep and slowly.....it really does help, that and working out a plan of action to what is stressing you out.
Take care and Im thinking of you all
Senorita, all the best with your operations, I am sure you will be ok and that your quality of life will improve greatly once you have recovered from the two procedures. I would suggest you complain in writing to the hospital about the lack of confidentiality, what happened is absolutely unacceptable. They might not be aware that consultations can be overheard so your letter might highlight a need for some remedial actions. will be thinking of you on Monday xx

When I was in there the other day the librarian told a group to go to the common room if they wanted to mess around. One said, "We're not going there, that's for commoners," and the librarian ended up getting the head of 6th form involved. We have the "silent study room;" lets just say if it was somethig you could actually sell there'd be problems with it contravening the Trade Descriptions Act :rotfl:
i hate it when they ban everyone just cos of a few people. surely they could just ban the people who are being disruptive
I'm hoping they will do that or ban everyone who has been sleuthed (what they do for not going to lessons, missing deadlines etc.)
Careers lesson tomorrow :( So I have no frees. They've sleuthed the two I really don't want to be in the same class as so many times for not turning up they're going to it tomorrow; overheard them talking in one of the lessons I'm in their class for. Really don't want any more lessons with them :thumbsdow
I feel ill. Tomorrow I really can't miss though :(
Sad day today, a colleague of OH got poorly last Wednesday and was taken to hospital, after a couple of days she was in a coma and today the life support was switched off one day after her birthday yesterday and sadly she passed away. She was in her 40s. Although I did not know her very well, she was a brilliant team player and very popular. RIP Katie xxx
Ive managed to do a little english but not but really :( :p
was the exam today? hope it went ok if it is :)
It was english language, it was pretty good :p I wrote LOADS though
Thats really sad perdita, its still sad even when you don't know them that well
another two hours this morning with the lecturer from hell then a day in the library, oh the joys

the show i had to see last night was actually quite good, normally they make us go and see the most rubbish plays! it was using all masks and puppets and stuff and it was very physical, though some of the dialogue got a bit boring as it went on for way too long! gotta write a 500 word review on it now
today ive gotta be at my lecture at half 9 instead of 10am as we have to meet in town as the lecturer is showing us different spaces which can be used as performance spaces. hopefully it wont last too long as its freezing, although thankfully its not raining!

Sorry to hear about your OH's friend Perdita.
Today I've got lots of work to catch up on. I also have to start reading the Lawrence Inquiry. All 450 pages of it  Then there's the Macpherson report and another report relevant to my assignment...
I think tomorrow I will do my 500 word summary on a journal. Should be a nice day looking through forensic and policing journals to find an article to write about.

My gosh, sorry to hear about that Perdita!
Good 2 days :D. Last night stayed at a mates, there was a few of us there we watched dvds and pigged out :D.
Then today I got a call from my mate asking if I still want a job, as the place she works is desperate. So I said yeah, then a bloke rang me asking if I could come in for an interview sometime, so I did today, and I got the job :D. Start either tomorrow or next week haha! Depending on my dad lol! So yay :D
Well done for getting the job :)
Oooh Lea, congrats. What's the job doing?
I've got round to doing no work :( I got some notebooks to start condensing my notes ready for revision and a new pen this afternoon.
Not doing much tonight. Early night methinks.

I remember the Lawrence report and the McPherson report, did it in a lot of detail last year i found it quite interesting
I have so much work to do been back a week and have three assigments already, it looks quite interesting though on the plus side the criminal one is about how corproation and other crimes are treated differently.
Ooo well done on the job :D
I was pround today just cos I checked my bank balance

Aww well done Lea! What holiday park was it??
I've had such a good night! It's my oldest friends 18th today, but I was absolutely skint and only found out this morning that they were planning a surprise meal for her and so I managed to lend some from my Nan until payday and we went to Wetherspoons a dn had some blue lagoon and then ended up where I work for food... and the hot one was in work! Ahhhh! Haha
Then we went to the bowlplex and sat in the bar and had a drink and played pool, it was a relally good ngiht, there were only 5 of us though, I'm quite annoyed at my friends who "forgot" about it or "didn't have money on them because they ahd to draw it out of the bank", they jsut can't be bothered to make the effort and it annoys me because they wouldn't like it if someone did the same to them on their birthdays,... their 18ths! :(
We ahd a good night regardless!.. I did feel a bit left out, there were 2 sets of couples and little old me. Haha, that's why I coudln't make it to the musical quiz, sorry Abbie :(

I've woken up with a banging headache and sore throat :(
Checked my track and had another unsuccessful, thios time from Bangor :lweek:
I really don't think I'll be going to Uni this year, I need to get my head around what I'm going to do if I don't get in.
I have work later, I've never worked a Saturday but it's apparently busier than Fridays.... today is going to be fun  :(
Don't worry if you don't get any offers. You can go through Extra for courses as soon as it opens. If you don't get any offers from Extra you can go through Clearing in August. Usually in August the requirements are much lower than what the university want because they need to fill places on the course.
Today I'm going to read through the lecture notes for the lectures I missed then go food shopping. I'm going to make chocolate fudge cake (found a recipe on the C4 website and it looks divine  ) and spag bol and macaroni cheese to put in the freezer. Fun day ahead :D
They say retail therapy is the best and I have to agree. Went shopping this morning and spent £150  on new jumpers/tops but I got quite a few things for the money. 6 jumpers, 1 blouse, 1 polo shirt, 1 sparkly top for special events and two cardigans which, when buttoned up, could also double up as jumpers :D . Have not bought anything new for quite a while and it was beginning to show :o Now finished with the house work and ironing, chilling watching H&A :cheer:
Oooh shopping spree :D I went a few weeks ago. You'll be needing all those jumpers where you live. You got lots for your money.

Yes, you are right, it is just 1 degrees and looks like it is going to snow again :crying:
We've been forecast snow for Monday and Tuesday :( I hate snow.
We will definitely then get snow too, usually get UK weather about 24 hours later :(
Was planning on a pub crawl this afternoon to find some good drinking spots, but to be honest I can think of better things to do than sit in a pub all day drinking what little money I have away.

I had a good night last night just chilled out in the house and ate foar too much chocolate.
Now i am continuing with my work waiting for y breakfast to cook and watching waking the dead on DVD.
I dont like being home alone at night, its just too werid and way to quiet!!!
Although I dont mind it really, I feel proper relaxed and in control :D Its just werid cos everytime my parents have left me Ive always had a friend over or a few to keep be company, I couldnt be bothered this time.
Ive basically spent the time watching loads of films, you know when theres so many you want to see but never get to watch them. Well ive been watching loads, well a couple Ive been recording the rest thanks to sky+ and I'll make time to watch the rest :D
it was alright as i was only on my own for a bit before my housemates came back they had been at home.
We're watching MAmma Mia later! for about the billionth time
I've been busy doing washing, tidying my drawers out and having a general sort out. I've got loads of stuff to take home next Monday.
My hands are hurting now :crying: so I'm going for a shower then watch some tv or 24.
All Ive done is wash up after eating and watch TV
I have some really werid eating habbits, I will eat anything

I've felt really ill today, sickness and dizziness and aching and pains, it's horrible :( but I went to work.. good job aswell because a girl fell over in work friday and can hardly walk on her one leg so she couldn't come in. I feel really roughhh :( I want to go to bed but I have too much catching up to do with my friend lol.

The doctor gave me some new painkillers today and they're making me sleep so I don't appreciate having to get out of bed and go outside. Went out today to this huge park. The roads were shut in it so no cars were there. :D It took and an hour and a half to walk there! A friend had two plastic sleds we filled up with snowballs. :p Although when we got there the people we were meant to meet up had gone home! And we only had one missed call from them they could've left a voicemail at least. We were freezing so went to a pub, had some chips and hot drinks and went back with a couple of other people to sled down some hills which was quite fun. And made snow angels. Ah to be a kid again. :p
I went back to a friends who lives nearby and watched a video. My ankle joints are really aching now though. I expect college will be open tomorrow, so I'll try to get in since I have a later lesson and it isn't a half day.
I had the house to myself for a bit before which was quite nice and then i went into the library for the rest of the day.

Sorry wrong thread.
I had a really good day today. School was cancelled, which is a good thing because I hadn't finished my drama coursework. I wasn't allowed to go out though - I was being forced to tidy my room. I listened to Radio 1 all day and then Edith was on and in the last half hour of her show she was doing this game-thing and people had to text in and say why one of two songs linked to their day. I texted in but she didn't read it out. A minute later, when she was playing music, I got a phonecall from Radio 1 asking if I'd like to talk to Edith and request the song on air. I was like "um... YEAH!" but they said they couldn't promise that they'd ring back. After like five minutes, they rang back and asked me again. Then Edith spoke to me off air and then said "ok, 40 seconds left. I'll take to you in a bit darling!" and I waited and then I talked to her on air. It was awesome, even if I did sound kind-of stupid :p
 Just went the county council website about school closures and they only did today's list at 9:25! Everyone would have found out if their school was closed by then when they turned up to a closed school!
That's rubbish. My school had it announced on the radio by 6:45. Mind you, it was pretty early for my school. Usually they leave it until 9, when everyone is at the bus stop and waiting for the buses in the freezing cold, and they just put a sign in the paper shop

After I finally managed to get to sleep, Sam rang me at 10pm to say him and his girlfriend had split up and do I want to get smashed. The obvious answer was obsiould y yes. And the college website is so stupid it added a page before you entered the site saying college is closed yesterday but would probably be open today and it said the same thing today so I presumed it was open. But they'd actually put a new message inside the website! How was I meant to know that. :(

Aww Abigail, I actually understand what you mean.
School was cancelled because of the snow! :)
But I am so annoyed with my friends!
We were all online sorting out what time to go to the mountain and whatever but I was getting ready to go and babysit for a bit, and actually read back through what I had missed and saw 2 of them actually bitching about me and my other friend! I mean come on... grrrrrr
So my other friend decided to not go out, I wanted to go out but had to babysit, and when I got back they ahd all gone without me, so I eventually persuaded my friend to come out and so I went to hers and we had hot chocolate and rang to see if they were still out... and they were all going in. Not impressed!
So we ended up walking the long way to the shops and got some chips... whcih was actually really fun.
I am so annoyed today... walked all the way to my daughters school to find it was closed.. they never even told the crossing lady.. I had to tell her
Today has been pretty rubbish. Had a disability assessment and now I feel like a cripple after we'd gone through everything. Still, at least I'm getting lots of free things from the LEA to help me :)
Had a little argument with my friend. He wound me up so I let rip at him.
On the upside, I might have found a place to live next year. It's kinda like where I am now but it's privately owned and to a much higher standard. All ensuite, bigger bedrooms, separate common room, comfy seating area in the kitchen and plaster on the walls. Plus it's cheaper than what I'm paying now. Lots of people are moving there because the standard of housing around here is appalling. I need to ring up about it tomorrow.
I am soo irritated. Found out my best friend's been dating her boyfriend longer then i thought they had been. She never told me cause she thought i would of called her a w***e. I would never judge her like that, she only thought that cause she was dating someone else at the time. But still to think that she thought that i would judge her is so annoying cause i don't judge anyone and it's basically just dented the trust in our friendship now and she's known me for like forever so god knows why she thought that.
Ive had an ok day, I have so much coursework to do though!
I had my cervical cancer jab, my arm is starting to ache now
I just wasted £2 on a bus that I didn't use. :crying: My friend has my oyster card so I had to pay but then I got a text college is closed.

Glad my school haven't done that. It would take me 2 different buses and half the day to get back because of the silly times they run at. They're only every 1-2 hours anyway and then the first bus just makes you miss the second one. I wish we had an Oyster Card system, even on an adult's one it's cheaper than paying a child's fare to go 2/3 minutes down the road into town :thumbsdow It'll be daylight robbery when I go for my driving theory test; they've started IDing teenagers so it will cost me like £7 to get there
 School is closed :D :) omg they NEVER close :D They haven't done yet this week and I was listening to the radio station they told us to and it said the town of my school and then Primary. I was soooo annoyed. Then a bit later it said Secondary, woo.
EDIT: Message now in red on the outside of the website; really don't want to fall into that trap tomorrow!
There complaining in Manchester that the schools are shutting too easily, like there were two shut yet one in the middle of the two was open
I have 4 hours straight lectures no doubt as depressing as last week, Criminal follwed by Family! should be alright though, at least its interesting.

I dont like being home alone at night, its just too werid and way to quiet!!!
it was alright as i was only on my own for a bit before my housemates came back they had been at home.
i always find it weird being in the house alone, its always so quiet. especially in my uni house when no one else is there as at home even if my parents arent there my sis is. although i get so much more done when im here by myself!

sounds like you had fun! me and my sis got a sledge for xmas one year ages ago but never got to use it cos there was never enough snow :( dunno where it is now otherwise we could have used it on monday! i swear the snow turns everyone into big kids!

I need to ring up about it tomorrow.
that house sounds nice :) sounds a bit like the house im living in atm. i still need to find a house for next year though
We've got so much snow here. On the way to my lecture this morning I saw two lads trying to build the biggest snowball in the world. Don't think they got that far but they were big when I got back.
Had an interesting lecture this morning on firearms. This afternoon's lecture sounds rather boring. Two hours on the legal system. I'm getting rather annoyed with IFS now. All the lectures so far this semester are exactly the same as last semester.

yesterday i didnt do much, went to netball then came home and watched the tv then went to bed early! phoned up my landlord about our broken fridge and they said they would come and look at it straight away but they didnt come yesterday so im hoping they will come today but wont be surprised if they dont!
That is just not fair, if they rent out to students, they need to make sure that things are sorted out quickly, they get plenty of dosh for it. Luckily it is not the height of summer where things would go off even quicker. Hope you get it sorted soon :)
thanks :) they didnt come today either! they really are so crap its unbelievable, they think they can do what they like cos we are students! so much stuff has been broken for months which weve told them about but still havent been fixed - the radiators were broken for over a year before they were fixed, my housemate had to shower completely in the dark for 3 months cos both the lights in her bathroom broke and they are odd lights so we cant change themselves and the bathrooms dont have windows! and the fire alarm was broken for about 2 months before they bothered to fix it! and other small things like our kettle has been broken since may, the microwave doesnt work. ill phone them up again tomorrow and shout at them and see what they say!
phoned up the company who own my house today to see why no one had come to look at our fridge. apparently the guy i spoke to said it wasnt his fault cos some woman was meant to be sorting it out and she wasnt in today. but after arguing with him for about 25mins he said that hed send someone round first thing tomorrow so hopefully itll be sorted otherwise im gonna go down to the office and cause a fuss til its sorted lol!
my fridge is still broken! someone came round on friday (although they promised they would be round on thursday! ) and had a look at it and said it was broken and something was wrong with it and that someone would come back next week (this week) to try and fix it. my housemate said someone came round on tuesday and they couldnt fix it so they are going to get us a new fridge, but even though theres a comets and a currys and an argos etc just up the road from where we live, they wanna get it from somewhere else where its cheaper so itll take about 10 days to get here at least! its annoying cos although we still have another fridge its not big enough for all 6 of us to fit our food in

3 more: Glamorgan, Carmarthen and Brighton.
A friend of mine has already heard from Camarthen and has an interview so I'm waiting for an unsuccessful off them
Glamorgan was a slightly different course, instead of full on Primary teaching it was a major/minor course with English studies being the major and education being the minor so I'm crossing my fingers for there.
I am so bored :( Was supposed to have my driving test today but it's snowing too much :( I'm hungry but I don't know what to have either. Hmmm

Awww cool, my Nan and Auntie are veggies so I usaully eat what they do because I'm nto a massive meat fan :)
If I don't get in the plan is either:
enroll at College, and reapply next year
Or get a full time job
Number 1 is the ultimate choice if I don't get into Uni
Grrr. No buses apparently today, so couldn't go to make a snowman with my friend :( But what was in town when I went into town with my dad; yes you've guessed it, a bus!
Apparently it is going to snow a lot again tonight, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Doubt it though; if it does it's probably not enough to keep the school shut again.

I need to phone the doctor tomorrow. All week I have been getting sharp stabbing pains in my left side of chest, and today I've a pain in my left arm, my heart and now the pain is in my left leg. I first thought I had pulled a muscle at the gym as I have been going three times a week for the last couple of weeks but now I'm not sure.
Hope it is nothing serious xx
School's closed again :cheer: There are no buses again either, which didn't annoy me until my friend's school was confirmed closed about 5 minutes ago.
Well for my school my prayers have been answered I guess as I haven't quite finished the coursework I have to catch up on from Monday.

today not done much so far, had to give a presentation in my lecture this morning which was ok i suppose. now just going to catch up on some tv and learn the part of the dance i missed on tuesday before i go cheerleading. my housemates are trying to persuade me to go round our friends house later but im not sure yet
Just got up :D Need to go see accommodation this afternoon about moving out. I'm still not 100% on moving to a different place. I kinda like living here and I'm not in the right frame of mind for meeting new people and making friends at the moment. Plus I can't be bothered to move all my stuff from one place to another :p
Might go out tonight if I feel up to it. Lots of work to do this weekend so I won't be out late.
Going home on Monday afternoon to go to the theatre. Have to be back for 1pm on Tuesday so it's going to be a flying visit. Then Going to Newcastle on Thursday until Sunday.
I need to sort accomodation for tomorrow, its dead annoying the weathers really affecting my tv signal, im sick of the snow now!!!
hope it doesnt stop me getting to Birmingham tomorrow.

I am sooo annoyed! Payday was today, and I haven't been paid :(
So now I have to walk to work because I have £2 and there's no buses running and no-one about to give me a lift :(
Have you rung your employer to ask where your wages are?
Kirsty :]
06-02-2009, 14:02
I ahve no credit and we ahve no house phone, I'm woarkign at 4 though so I'll be asking as soon as I get in there. My friend said maybe it's too early... but I always thoguht that on payday you got paid like.. 12 am on that day? I don't know
You can get paid anywhere between 12am and 11.59pm, depending on which bank you are with. Halifax are notorious for paying wages or standing orders late.
hope you get paid soon, i need to pack soon as well for tomorrow, i need casual and something smart and some cash which i am seriously running out of
