We don't have a cleaner at all. Which is annoying. We tend to spend a Sunday afternoon cleaning the kitchen listening to the chart show on Radio 1.

its good you all clean the kitchen together. last year we tried to make a rota cos no one ever wanted to clean but it was never stuck to. this year i think im the only one to have cleaned the kitchen so far!

I hope your nana starts to feel better tomorrow Pinkles

My weekends been alright - went to a memorial service type thing today as my Scout leader's ashes were scattered. It was so sad. I wrote in his diary though as people could write comments in there for him.

Not a very good day. I had a free first and managed to write about a paragraph and annotate less than a page of a book, lol. Third my teacher wasn't in so we all saw, "no cover required" with no other instructions on the desk and thought we had a free. Got home though and checked my school email acount while I needed to get a task sheet and there's an email with work in it on there; unpleasant surprise lol! It was really slippery in the building on the way to the lesson anyway as the floor is tiled and I slipped over in front of everyone :( Almost slipped over a second time as well, it was really embarrassing.

Business teacher changed the groups around for the grouped part of the assignment, which is really annoying as it's meant to be in accordance with how much work they've done so others can't use your research. Two problems; I'm now with one of the girls I really don't want in my core group, and half of them have got like E's and U's for coursework; they either start using my research or I start losing marks for not having any group work for the assignment

I have left the conclusion for my biology coursework for...now. Smart move.

Is that the one you took to Poland that you had to write like 30 pages for? How long will it take you to do?

I have a boring "Friday afternoon" Economics essay that I couldn't be bothered to do. The exam questions aren't in the structure we've been forced to use so I don't see the point. Needs to be done by first lesson tomorrow; I think I'm doing it when I get up and when I get to school before lesson.

Well not much today, I had a hair but :p college was average

StarsOfCCTV
10-11-2008, 22:08
I've done that before with history. :p

Yeah it is the 30 mark one. I've done so much on statistics, so I left the conclusion until now. I wanted to do some in college today but the network went down which was a bit annoying so I couldn't. It'll probably take me about 2 or 3 hours if I work solidly. (HAH! :p ) It took me 4 hours complete my whole physics plan if I remember and that was worth 10 marks. (although an hour of it was sorting out the graphs and text that had moved ooh dear..) I have a late start on Tuesdays but I have orthodontist tomorrow so I have to do it all tonight. I was hoping to do a bit in college tomorrow but because the ortho is halfway across London it takes an hour to get there I can't! I'm going to get back to college just in time for my 2pm lesson lol.

Kim
10-11-2008, 22:13
I would just not bother going in then get it done for Wednesday haha. What time does your college finish? We finish at 3.

StarsOfCCTV
10-11-2008, 22:24
I wish! The deadline is tomorrow and she refused to extend it. Because some of the class wound her up by constantly asking her she's hasn't budged on her decision. Idiots. But yeah...I'm going to hand it in because otherwise she won't accept and before the exams next year we can improve one piece of coursework from each unit, and if this one turns out bad I'll choose this one to improve! :p

The latest we finish college is 4.30 but I only have late finishes on Monday and Tuesday. Although Mondays I tend to go to the gym. So I get back around 6-7 depending on how long I spend there.

Kim
10-11-2008, 22:36
That's one from each type of Science I take it? How many pieces of coursework do you actually get?

Coursework is annoying. If I don't have 27/27 for Business now I'll eat my Christmas cracker hat! It took me ages just to do the work for the 4 marks I lost for not doing some of the documents I was meant to have analysed before half term. I'd rather have coursework than exams though.

StarsOfCCTV
10-11-2008, 22:51
Yeah me too. Even if I do leave it quite late sometimes!

I do double applied science which is 70% coursework. Fun times. At the moment I have the ongoing physics (until Feb), Biology, and two chemistry ones - 3 & 9 marks. And I'm getting another biology one on Friday, although that's only 9 marks. And it's on Wetlands so it is similar to the pond coursework. I'm just so glad we are not visiting the sewage works!! The coursework tends to pile up if you leave it too long but its not been too bad so far. I remember last year being so annoyed at them because they gave us about 6 coursework's to do in the last few weeks of term and it gave me only two weeks to revise for the AS's. They don't seem to communicate with each other though, so you can go a couple of weeks without one and then get three at the same time which similar deadlines..hmm. I'm not sure how many we get altogether. I shall have to check that sometime.

Kim
10-11-2008, 23:05
 You didn't do badly after only having two weeks to revise! Teachers seem to like that; last year they were lecturing us asking us how much revision we'd done for GCSEs and we were like, "How are we meant to revise with piles of homework to do?"

Tell me about it. One of my Business teachers knows me from GCSE and she's always asking me how the class were in the other teacher's lesson instead of asking her lol!

They do trips to the sewage works?

StarsOfCCTV
10-11-2008, 23:17
My teacher was like "It would be FUN!" Since when has a sewage treatment works ever been fun. :rotfl: Apparently its huge it treats waste from Heathrow and near us.

Kim
10-11-2008, 23:23
That sounds about as enthralling as when we had to go around the school in Year 9 and compare the 'wear and tear' on all the flights of stairs lol!

I could describe the sewage works as something beginning with f, the only problem being that it has two words, the second of which is 'disgusting!' :rotfl:

StarsOfCCTV
11-11-2008, 00:16
Wear and tear. :rotfl: Yeah my biology teacher is one of those people who is really really into science.

Still no luck with my essay its still a very nice blank page. I really do not care about how constructives trusts work in splitting up the family home!

I need to book a hair appointment its on my to do list. Yesterday i sat in the council offices waiting for someone to try and sort out my student loan, that was an experience! and tonight i am visiting my friend which i am really looking forward to, not seen her sonce i went to uni in september.

My biology teacher let us have the lesson and then until 5 to hand in our coursework so I had another couple of hours to improve it which was good. I went to the library to print it off in colour, and I managed a few pages and then it said I had 'insufficient funds' How can I have used £9 worth of credit in a week? I think someone must of looked on my card and used my account to print about a billion pages. The password is your date of birth but they put that on the card as well as your Id number. So basically anyone can hack into anyones account. Grr annoying. So yeah I couldn't print it off so I've emailed it to her I hope I got the right one.

On the upside I got 7/10 for my physics draft and I've got a week to improve so I'll have time to do that.

I had a biology test today, Im so sick of tests in was hard but it a shorter test than before, that or Im getting quicker. Hopefully I will pass, Ive already got two D's. I dunno why but every does awful in these tests one class with really clever people in who get B's and A's, in the test I just did today got E's and D's. WHat hope have I got?

Not done much today. Didn't go to bed until 5.30am this morning, we decided to annoy the people downstairs because they keep complaining that we bang all the time, which we don't. They came up and invited us down for some drinks. A bit later on I was in the kitchen with two of my flatmates and one of them started telling us about 'anonymous sex night' and how far she's gone with one of our flatmates. She had sex with someone but she doesn't know when it happened, where it happened or who it was with. She thinks it could be the same flatmate she's done 'everything but' with, but isn't sure.

Me and her had a really good chat about me and Jamie and she made me realise that I'm not spending enough time with the rest of the flat because I'm always with him. She thinks he's dragging me down and to some extent I do agree. I just can't say no to him.

Anyway, probably going out tonight, just wait for said flatmate to come back from the library to see what time we're going. Jamie said I can go with him but I'm trying to not spend so much time with him at the moment.

Printing allowances  I thought I was the only one. How much do they charge per sheet? It's 5p a sheet at my school. They keep changing the allowance though. It was £2.50 a term which I could easily go over in Business alone! Everyone's debating it on the school forum and this one boy was like, "I printed something double sided to save paper and was still charged for 2 sheets. As an A Level Maths student, I can clearly count that this uses 1 sheet of paper."

Ours are linked onto our computer accounts somehow, which aren't so bad. The only thing that's silly about it apart from the limit itself is that you need to put your password in three times to view your limit, but only once to actually print something. So you could actually leave the computer logged on by accident and someone could come along and use up your whole printing allowance. I was actually worried about that yesterday, I accidentally left a computer logged on in Economics. My teacher let me print something off on hers because they don't have limits and I forgot to log off of the computer I was on afterwards. Thankfully no one had used my allowance though.

Today I nearly had coffee spilt on me. I was going into the 6th form centre and my Business/Economics teacher was coming out of it as she'd used the coffee machine in the kitchen. We didn't really see each other so the coffee nearly went over me. I have a lesson with her tomorrow so I might recommend that she complains that she doesn't have a kettle in her room. My tutor has a kettle and hot chocolate in hers! Tutor was ill yesterday so this boy stole hula hoops out of her cupboard lol.

Homework... eurgh. Enough said lol.

What's a printing allowance??
We don't have one of them in school, we go to the Library and then they charge us 2p a sheet...when it's actually open that is  .
Most of the time I use 2 of the teachers computer suites in the business department, they're kind like that :) lol

I actually told my teacher how much I'm struggling with English Lit today so she told me to ahve a go at the essay and she'll mark what I could do of it and we'll go form there so I feel slightly better about that :)

Been trying to do UCAS stuff aswell, I've only got one course on there so far in Newport. I cannot decide on Universities at all! And no-one will come to open days with me :( So I give up on that tonight!

Then I had a driving lesson and my instructor said I'm not far off my test now :D:D
Then went to see my Mum and all and on Friday my Mum said her and my Dad are taking me and my brother bowling :D Woohoooo!

Now I feel like getting a cup of tea and chocolate biscuits and having an early night :)

Kim
12-11-2008, 21:03
Well in my school the printing allowance is where they give you a virtual printing balance, and all your print jobs are debited from that at 5p a sheet. If you go over it you have to pay. Which I think is very unfair if you haven't been wasting the allowance; they can see exactly what we've printed and the teacher who set the limit said that printing needs vary from course to course. Applied Business = loads!

CrazyLea
12-11-2008, 21:31
We have printing balance. It's only 1p per sheet, but each term they only give you 150 sheets! It's rubbish. Then you have to pay £3.00 for only 150 sheets, if you want top-up!!!! It's so stupid. I just send most of my work via email to my lecturers :p. They can print it out then muhaha.

Kim
12-11-2008, 21:46
150!! Yes please! We had 45, it's gone up by about 10 sheets now I think. They say that 6th form get a bigger allocation; I dread to think how much lower school have. I wonder how much of it I'll have left when I've finished the unit in Business and done a 4 week Psychology project...none. I'll be well over the balance and begging for an extension of the balance lol.

OMG they make you pay double when you go over! I like the way they say, "We're not asking you to restrict your work in any way." I would email the work but I can't exactly do that with my coursework as I have to sign it into my folder. I wouldn't try it with 1 Psychology teacher but I think I will have to with the rest of my teachers.

cool

we have to pay 5p a sheet and when you do law, i print off so much! i swear all my money goes on printer credits and photocopying!

I have 1202 words! i am impressed. We may finish this today

Kim
13-11-2008, 16:53
How many words do you have to have Katy?

We have to design a load of documents by tomorrow for Business. That will take up like half my printer credit when I have to print them out! I have to do an application form and they're usually quite long; mine's going to cost like 70p or something to print because we can't just go and put it all on size 8 font. Business teacher is trying to get the printer in the Business room taken off of the allowance, thank heavens for that. They'll have to lock the room if they do which I'm not bothered about as it should stop my coursework going walkabouts like it did last year lol

We have to miss 2 lessons tomorrow. They had to go and cancel my free and Psychology for which I don't have tons of work to do didn't they  Our timetable for Psychology sucks. We have each teacher for a week before we have the other one, while the other groups alternate between the two. We missed most of the lessons with the other teacher because of the way the half term fell on the last timetable cycle and tomorrow we miss another of her lessons. So now I have loads to do for Business and Economics by tomorrow. :thumbsdow

I've lost my phone  I had it yesterday morning at the bus stop checking the time to take Marley to school, the bus was late so I stopped a taxi so she wouldn't be late, then I got the bus back to work. Once I got to work I put my hand in my coat pocket and discovered it was gone. I phoned the taxi company to see if it was handed in but it hadn't. I phone the lost property at the bus company but it was closed as its only opened for 3 hours in the morning. I tried this morning but they haven't got it and I should try again tomorrow. The flaming thing is still ringing as I keep ringing it hoping that someone answers it. That's 2 phones withing two weeks have gone.

thats rubbish when you lose your phone. I hate being without mine, its like a confort blanket or someting.

I have 2000 words now, so 500 to go till reached the limit, although reading itback its pretty rubbish so it needs a lot doing to it.

monday i got up early to finish my essay before it had to be handed in, managed 2500 words in 3hrs so i was pretty impressed! then spent the afternoon in the library reading the most boring book ive ever read in my life! then had netball and was really late home cos all the buses were really late

tuesday i had a lecture then had to meet up with my group to decide on a comedy clip we were gonna discuss in our seminar. then went cheerleading which was good though everyone seemed to be getting injured!

wednesday i didnt really do anything apart from give a form in to our estate agent then bought my sis bday pressie

yesterday i was on campus all day and it seemed like forever! had my seminar in the morning which wasnt too bad then had to go to this talk in the afternoon and although it was quite interesting it had absolutely no relevance to my module so i dunno why it was compulsory for us to go. then in the evening the bt technical people finally called me, almost 3 weeks after id first complained about our internet/phone! finally managed to get the phone working again and they said theyre going to send us a new hub so hopefully after that itll all be fixed!

today im gonna try and start my other essay and maybe tidy my room

Do you not get into trouble when you miss lectures?

i think it depends on individual lecturers whether you get into trouble for missing lectures or not. the drama department at my uni are pretty strict cos quite a lot of people always miss classes but apart from moaning at you they cant really do much else. we have to go to at least 60% of all lectures/seminars/other classes for each module otherwise you automatically fail that module

its 5p a sheet for us to print on campus too. our accounts let us go to -£1 before it stops you being able to print! my account was on -£1 for over a year til i paid it off the other day, now its down to -10p! i refuse to pay yet though cos the smallest amount you can pay at a time is £1 and i dont print very often at uni cos ive got a printer at home

Kim
14-11-2008, 21:56
Printer credits are rubbish. I accidentally sent the wrong thing to print and tried to cancel it but it wouldn't do it. So that was 3 sheets gone for nothing. Now I only have 36 sheets left to last for the rest of the term... arrrghhh. I've still got a report, agendas, minutes of meetings and an evaluation to go and that's only for Applied Business! Never mind the Psychology project and report...

It was fancy dress today as I discovered yesterday so it was too late for me to buy anything :( So many people dressed up. No one bothered to tell us that it wasn't obligatory to attend the CIN auction. I found out from my Business teacher that it wasn't when she happened to ask me if I was going to it so I had an extra free lesson as the lessons got cancelled so that the 6th formers that wanted to go to the auction could go to it. Not knowing that it wasn't obligatory I didn't take my Psychology stuff in as that was the lesson I was missing. Could've done with that; I ended up doing Business for the best part of two hours because I didn't have my Psychology on me. My English teacher wasn't in last so I had another free and couldn't be bothered to do much. My friend went home even though we're not allowed until next year! I was so annoyed. I ended up sitting in the common room by myself and then the head of 6th form walked in. He always says that we're not allowed to play table football in frees but he started playing it with the boys and said it was a, "pre fire drill game, hint hint." This was about a quarter to 3 so I was getting a bit worried about missing the bus as school finishes at 3. Fire drill went and the head of 6th started trying to get us to go down the stairs that we're not allowed to use! I just went the other way because they really don't look stable to me. My friend who went home will be in trouble on Monday for going home like that since the register was taken again when the fire drill went off.

I went into town today and saw quite a few of my old teachers. They were setting a world record with about 200 kids for the largest number of teddy bears in one place or something random like that. It was a bit weird because I had a dream about one of the last night then I saw him this afternoon. He said to go see him next time I'm up here, which will be in two weeks. Looking forward to catching up, I haven't seen him since I left in May.

Had a good day :)
Actually handed in my RE essay which is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders now, time to crack on with Welsh Bacc!

I went to town for a bit with some friend after my lessons had finished, I was going to get this top I've wanted for ages since I actually have funds this weekend but they didn't have it :( so I was slightly gutted about that but I shall go back :D

Turned down the chance to go to an 18th tongiht too and went out bowling with my Mum Dad and brother :) It was really nice... I won! :D Mwahahaa. Then we let my brother go on the arcade stuff and then went to get a chinese and went back to my Mums and watched Children in Need... love it!! :D

Haha if any fo you remember me having a go at those girls for bullying another girl and then they got their older friend to start on me as I was walking home... well ironically I turned around and that girl who started on me was stood next to me, then a few minutes later the girl they were picking on was booking a place for bowling. How weird is that? The nasty girl didn't say anythign to me though :)

Going home tomorrow, no idea what time. One of my friends isn't too good at the moment so I may go down and see how he is when I get back.

went out friday evening cos someone we know was coming back from france for the weekend. it was alright but i thought everyone was gonna be out but hardly anyone was. was a cheap night though cos all vodka drinks were 2 for 1! :D and then this guy we know gave us a lift home. he asked if he could sleep on our sofa but when he got into the house he was trying to talk his way into mine or my housemates bed! hes the biggest sleeze we know so we were just like you can sleep on the sofa or you can go home! and as soon as me and my housemate went upstairs he left lol! and we genuinely thought to start with that he wanted to crash at ours instead of driving home!

yesterday i had cheerleading in the morning which was ok then i didnt really do much for the rest of the day (so much so that i cant actually remember what i did!)

today i was the only one in my house again as everyone else had gone to the american football game but i had to stay at home and do my essay :( spent most of the day wasting time by washing up and cleaning my bathroom! still not finished writing it now although i hopefully wont be too much longer!

Came back to uni today and was granted by a lot of surprises on of the girls has kicked up a stink about the internet so took the rooter home with her for a week ao i am slumming int in the 24 hour computer room. I am so annoyed at her for behaving soo childishly.

Should probably be getting an early night as i got a 9 am lecture tomorrow! and i set of back from Manc at stupid oclock this morning as my mate wanted to get the day surfing it. It was really great getting a lift though i couldnt face the train.

Got back about 6pm. I had to get a taxi from the station, cost me £5 to go one mile down the road  That's more that what the taxi costs to get back from Hanley (4 miles away) at 2am.

When I got back I realised that I have labs for the next four weeks instead of a two hour lecture on a Monday morning. I could have come back tomorrow or Tuesday morning as my labs are on a Tuesday afternoon. Oh well, should be fun in the morning when my flatmate knocks on my door to see what time we're leaving for the lecture. He's going to be over the moon about having to get up at 6am to get here in time :rotfl: I could text him and say he doesn't have to be here until his labs in the afternoon but I can't be bothered.

I've been back home for the weekend, which has been really good. Going back tomorrow morning to uni. I really needed a bit of a break from uni and have some proper sleep, so now i feel more refreshed and hype up for tomorrows night out. Only 4 weeks untill i'm back home for Christmas, which is good. I love uni, but i can't wait to meet up with all my mates who have been at other unis.

Made the Christmas Pudding today!! I'm actually amazing at that.

Aww I've had a good day :)
My Nan is in such a better mood lately, I've sort of stepped up and if I'm not doing anythign or getting set to do work, I will help alot more with housework and she seems really greatful for it.. jsut amkes everyones lives easier to live so I know there's no hamr in doing it and helping.. no matter how much work I have to do :)
So today I helped tidy up and then later on in the evening I ahd my closest girl friends down because tbh, we haven't been getting along lately so it was nice to be together for once and talking normally, not putting on a front. We were supposed to have a "study night".. we did about 10 minutes of work then got sidetracked by Mean Girls, Britannia High, Wife Swap and then I'm a Celeb, and we orded pizza so yeah :D Been a really girly night and I'm in a good mood for once :)

Rubbish day. It's kicking off between two of my flatmates and I'm kinda stuck in the middle. I was almost crying on the phone to my mum because it's just stressed me out. If I hadn't have said anything we wouldn't be in this position and Jamie wouldn't be going to see about terminating his tennancy agreement tomorrow :( I don't know if I can live here for another seven months without him, one of my flatmates is already ignoring me because of this argument. He didn't mention me but it's pretty obvious where he got the information that started this from. I'm not going to ask him to stay, it's his decision if he wants to leave. I'm really worried about what's going to happen.

I'm going to Carnage on Thursday with my flatmates (except Jamie) so it will be interesting to see what happens when Kelly has had a few. She's already written on her facebook that she loves all her flatmates except me and Jamie.

I came to the conclusion yesterday that she's jealous. She's openly admitted that she fancies Jamie, everything that she's said to me about him, she's just been stirring.

I really can't wait for christmas, four weeks of not having to think about this place is going to be great.

/rant.

17-11-2008, 23:04
Really Abs? What it all start over :S.

Do the other flatmates take Kelly's side more than yours? Or to they tend to remain neutral? It's gonna be really hard if they take Kelly's side, as you'll kind of have no one..

Have you tried talking to Kelly and telling her you're not interested in Jamie? Even if you are, from whay you've said neither of you are gonna make a move.. so could just tell her just to make the peace? Will make living there a whole lot easier!

Abigail
17-11-2008, 23:15
Everytime I try to tell her there's nothing going on, she doesn't believe me. When we're alone together she'll quiz me on what's going on.

Sophie will side with Kelly any day of the week, just like I'll stand by Jamie. Dan isn't getting involved and Craig isn't aware of the situation yet.

When Dan, Kelly and Sophie get together, it's just those three. No one else gets a look in. I don't really know Craig so if Jamie does leave I'll be on my own.

I'm fed up of all these dramas. Ever since me and Jamie got close Kelly has been stirring things and trying to seperate us.

Roll on 11th December.

Had a good day - got a phone call from Homebase asking me to attend a job interview for next Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully, I'll get the job and it will be second time lucky, as I missed out on a job at Wilkinson's because I had no previous shop experience. It would be nice if I got the job as I wouldn't have to stick to the same paper round I've been doing for the past 5 years.

Aww good luck Davey! :D

My day's been weird.
Water pipes in our house burst so we had to get the council out to look at it today (I informed my Nan that if I couldn't at least wash my fringe for school I wasn't going, I also told my friend this) however, it got sorted out and I could wash lol so I was about to go to school but my Aunty rang up to see if my Nan could ahve my baby cousing for a while as she felt really ill and blackouty, but my Nan couldn't because she was waiting for the council to explain, so I had to go and watch him for the day.

Meanwhile, in school. My friend being the silly sausage she is.. when asked where I was in English she replied "her waters broke"... and my teacher was like.. well she kept that quiet! Then my friend realised what she'd said, guarenteed I will get stick tomorrow lol.

I'm so tired now though, looking after a 10 month old is very hard work :(

THats brilliant! GLad you got it all sorted Kirsty, we did that in our house just before we were about to leave for school, it was all very messy.
I handed in my essay! i am so chuffed, i think it could have been better though, just got three more now.

THe dramas in our house seem to have settled down, our problem child as my dad described her has gone home for the week so were having a real laugh just what a stident house should be like. Going to go to the library and start the next essay.

Things have settled down a bit. Jamie and Kelly have squared their differences away (I never thought that would happen). I still need to talk to Kelly about where we stand though. He told her that we aren't sleeping together and there is nothing going on, among other things. From what he told me from the conversation, it seems he fought my corner (I wasn't in at the time) and told me not to feel bad about telling him what she said.

He keeps asking where his glass has gone. I'm definately not telling him Kelly broke it :ninja: At the moment anything is setting him off.

Anyway... I keep breaking things. I managed to pull the internet cable box off the wall the other night when I'd had some nytol. Last night I knocked the mirror over and smashed that.

Today I'm going to tidy my room, wash all these plates and dishes that have been on my desk since Sunday and start an assignment.

And she asked what manner meant. (I'm not the brightest crayon in her class and often come out with silly things and she's always bewildered by my incoherent babbling right...)
To whiche I replied... very loud feeling proud of myself because I was on the ball "Please".
She was jsut like... oh dear, I give in with you Kirsty... then started laughing for about half an hour! I still don't knwo what manner actualyl meant.

Abbie

Carnage was pretty good. I lost loads of stuff, including my driving license. Luckily somebody handed it it, I was really panicking. I can't remember much of what happened last night, I've woken up with a number 3 on my arm and some writing across my chest  My bathroom smells of vomit. Minus the being sick part... that's never any fun

Had a good day :) Well, apart form being shouted at by my English Literature teacher because I didn;t go to her lesson. Whoops. But then I don't understand it.. and I just feel so dull when I'm in the class anyways that I see no point....although there is a point really.
Then in RE we all had to do a little test thing..10/10 oh yeahhh
And then we all ahd to summarise this cahpter on "the mean of the doctrine" to do with virtues, and then our teacher asked the LSA helper to pick a random number between 1-17 and whoever it was had to teach the class about the mean of the doctrine... and it was only my number wasn't it! So I had to teach my class, it was well scary!

Supposed to be going to an 18th tonight but me and my friend aren't sure whether or not to go yet as our other close friends aren't going, so we don't want to go and not really know anyone. Hmmm :hmm:

Brilliant!

Just got the best phone contract EVER with Orange.

It was meant to be £30 quid a month for 600 minutes and unlimited texts, becuase I got it online. £35 in store.

Anyways I had a bit of a ho-ha about the online customer services being a pain so i went into shop, woman phoned up and sorted it and said they'd give me a call later.

About an hour later a man phoned me up saying that as I've been such a loyal Pay As You Go customer for so long my contract is only going to be £15 a month!!!! For all of that, I couldn't believe it! Even he said it was rare that the system said people could get it for half price!!! Haha my friend pays £35 for same contract as me, she's fuming now!

I've got out £6 insuance a month for it though, which brings it to £21. Main reason is as I've paid £80 for the phone, and paying that much I want the guarantee that it's safe. Just brought GQ and found out it's that top rated phone atm - I was well chuffed, I'm as cool and stylish as GQ now :D

Sorry, so chuffed I had to post it!!!!

   50% of my Psychology AS rests on an exam on the first anniversary of my Gran's death. I'm predicted an A and I'll most likely need it to do it at uni. I don't know whether to do that or Business yet but I still don't want it all ruined by that. I really don't think I'll have the time to resit it without messing up the rest. :crying: AQA  I wasn't even planning on going into school on that day.

Teacher told us the date of the exam and then goes, "A directional hypothesis would be that more smokers than non smokers die of lung cancer." GRRR I really didn't need that, Gran died of it.

Today some sad little .. I'll be polite.. snail went and drew on the interview letter for my Business coursework. She reckons that's ok behaviour because she had to print a copy of a 5 page application form that she made for all of us. She moans when we don't pick her documents and she moans when we do because she has to get us all copies!

Yesterday I had Young Enterprise stuff in the evening. Telling kids that no more than 2 could go to the toilet at any one time was not the best fun I've ever had when some started having a go. Hurt my back a bit too then when I was pouring out drinks I managed to knock a glass over the crisps. This boy in the group saw and was like, "Kimberley! That's our profits!" Haha

Sooo tired :( Exam on 8th Jan is an afternoon one. Thanks AQA, now I have all day to think about my Gran before it and am likely to miss my bus
Economics one is thankfully not on my birthday.

Haven't been on for a while, so this week. The teacher wasn't able to take our class for Business on Monday so I got the work and did it in the room me and my friends go to in frees because I knew that my friend's Maths teacher wasn't in. Other friend didn't have Art either but she thought the other was going home and that I had a lesson so she stayed in the Art rooms. Nothing really happened yesterday. Today I got to registration to find that we were on chair duty in assembly again, and was not best pleased as we've missed assembly through teacher absence for two weeks and they skipped out the groups that were meant to be doing it then. One of my friends hasn't had to do chairs once yet! We were told that everyone was expected to go to the GCSE certificates evening so me and my friend made our excuses for that as we weren't overjoyed with our results. Mine's probably not an excuse; my Dad gave me a lift last week as I had to do Young Enterprise stuff so it's probably likely I wouldn't have been able to get there anyway.

Christmas shopping on Saturday :D Woo, don't have to think about work and exams.

School was rubbish today fair play. My teacher wasn;t in for my double lesson so I had no lessons...
Then 2 of my friends were being funny with me for some reason
I fell asleep when I got in after doing some work and then when I woke up my friend rang me to let me know about a whole kufuffle ging on with one of my friends who was being funny. She's such a control freak.. it's going way too far!
Then tonight went late night shopping with my friends but we all actually got along for once!
But I've never cringed so much!! The guy I kissed at the party on Friday night.. well we haven't spoken since.
Then in townw as was stood talking and they all looked and were like hiyaa la de da. I turned around and who was it. Him and his friend! We both looked at each other and then looked away! It was sooo obvious we were both like  Uh ohhh! Haha. It didn;t help that my friend was making comments, asking me why I was blushing. It made it seem as though I'd told him what happened... but I hadn't said a word about it. Aww deary me.
What a night.

I have heating and hot water but the landlady keeps messing with the boiler every year when it is maintenance time. I am sitting in my lounge with a fleece and a blanket around my lower body, warm water takes ages to get up to the first floor since September when the neighbour downstairs had a flood somewhere in his apartment. We have to complain every year about the heating, it just does not get warm enough, and we are happy paying for a couple of extra degrees warmth. (Sorry about carbon footprint but I hate being cold and I waste loads of water needing the loo every five minutes!)

Katy
27-11-2008, 22:29
That was eventful, we phoned and explained what was going on and the woman was really concerned so said when you get back open all your windows and dont mess with your electricity as there could be a potential gas leak so we will send someone out in the next hour! Its not a leak but the man said the metre is screwed and we need to phone our landlady to get a new one but she is in China somewhere so we need to deal with our jokers of letting agents. Its like living in the house that Jack built exept i think Jack would do a better job! Just finishing my family law preparation for tomorrow and then an early night i think.

Well done Dave. I have a job interview... for the practical bit in Applied Business . I don't even know which group is interviewing me lol. I ended up being on the interview panel for my group too so I'm interviewing 3 people and having 1 interview. This boy in my group is on the panel with me and has to be interviewed 3 times. We have to dress up and take it seriously so that's me going to school in business type clothes 3 days next week.. including the day of my friend's party; definitely taking other clothes in on that day!

I had a test in Economics today; not too sure about how that went to be honest.

Now doing a load of photocopying for Business because no one wanted to go to the photocopying room at school; I don't even know where it is and I've been at that school 6 years :rotfl:

Woohoo well done Davey! :cheer:

Omg seriously, you try and plan something with my friends and I guarentee your plans will get smashed!
We went to Winter Wonderland in Cardiff tonight... to ice skate. You knwo what people usually go there to do.
Oh no, we got there.. and out of 10 of us, only 2 wanted to ice skate! Me and my other friend. We purposly waited for the other car to get there as they got lost and by the time they'd all amde their minds up it was too late for us to go on the ice :(
Their explanations were "I don't want too, no-one else wants too" "what a watse of a night.. we could've gone bowling or something, no-ones even ice skating"...uhhh not my problem! not being funny but usually when people go to Winter Wonderland.. they Ice skate!! Jeeez!
So then we dragged a few others onto the big wheel. Scaryy! Butt, it was so pretty looking at all of Cardiff lit up :)
Then we went for food at a chinese buffet. £9.99!!!!!! I wouldn't have cared.. but I didn't get my moneys worth :(
Anyways, silly night. Nothing went how it should've done and seriosuly, I'm sick of my friends complaining about not doing anything on weekends and then not bothering to organise anything and then if someone else does.. there's always somethign wrogn with it!! Can;t the be greatful!!? :(

Wow really.. I never knew everywhere has them!
I wouldn't have minded if they didn't want to go on anything... if they'd said it all in the day, when it was all arranged, that way we could've gone bowling instead or something... but instead of speaking up, they went and then complained. I'm not going to arrange or try to arrange anythign else :wall:

Don't talk to me about cold sores. I had a couple of crackers a few weeks ago took me two weeks to get rid of them. Buy those compress inviciable plasters Lea they're 7 pound but you can wear lipstick on top of them and they disguise the cold sore while it heals. I finished the Ceceilia Ahern book i was reading this monrning, it was really good, reallly nice and happy as opposed to sad and depressing which most my law books are like when reading was good to have a nice change.

I went Christmas shopping yesterday and spent wayyy too much. I must've spent £50 in The Body Shop! Thankfully I have got most of the birthday and christmas presents that I needed to buy for people now; just an iTunes voucher for one of my friends to go I think; my dad will be paying for the Quality Streets for me to give someone haha!

Today I got up early to do some revision but ended up doing a little bit then printing off practice papers.. well the sections of old ones that are relevant because we don't have any for the specification we're doing as it's new.

Drama with the Aunt this morning... yesterday she rang the Samaritans and today she wasn't answering her phone so my mum was about to walk down to her place when she rang up saying she was in A&E. My dad has to pick her up when he gets in now because everyone else is busy.

Only when you become properly qualified, after my degree if i become a solicitor its a 10000 pound LPC course and then two years training contract which is about 18000 i think plus the student loans to pay off. Eventually its worth it though!

I doubt ill get there though, especially as i have an EU essay i should be writing and instead i am watching DVDs and on Soapboards! Oh well!

I know what you mean about food, we are getting takeaway tonight as the oven has broken!

I've got a 1000 and a 2000 word assignment to write for next week and so far I've done nothing. Not even research for the 2000 one. I've also got a presentation to do on Friday that I haven't started yet.

Our over door keeps breaking, a good boot is needed to close it.

I feel really rough this morning. Went out last night and did some random things. Got some guy's number so I'm going to text him later. Didn't sleep very well, kept dreaming about him. Not in a good way either :hmm:

Had a lab session today. I'm getting really annoyed with one of the girls in my group. She's such a bimbo  We had to do something with chromotography paper so one sheet was labelled with A, B and E and the other with C, D and E. When it came to doing the results she had labelled both cards A1 and A2 and calculated individual results for A to E. She didn't understand what I was talking about when I said there couldn't be an A1 and A2 when only one card had A on it. If you're going to label something, don't use a letter that already means something  She even started using 'baby pink' to describe a colour. FFS find some common sense.

Going out to see a friend later on. I should probably go to my lecture tomorrow, haven't been for about six weeks :ninja: Thank god it's only a twelve week module with an assignment.

Kim
02-12-2008, 21:02
If she wants to label things A1 and A2 etc, tell her she should've applied for Economics. I'm sure marking demand curves D1 and D2 and supply curves S1 and S2 will be very interesting to her by the sounds of that.

The day I have to dress up for Business is the same day as my friend's party :ninja: I'm going to have to take other clothes to school now; I'll be a right packhorse carrying my books and everything plus a spare pair of clothes to her house.

My friend isn't online at the moment and she text me earlier asking me to go on so I will go back to revision.

There's not loads on there.. but it's pricey stuff. I hate growing up :( Haha
I really need to know if I have this job or not... then I can finalise what I'm going to wear to my friends 18th on Friday! Gahhh, being a girl is such a dilemma sometimes! Haha.

Other than that I slept because I've felt ill today and went to Homebase.. get some sort of fresh air.

I feel ill. My kidney is playing up again :( I really shouldn't have gone out last night, I wasn't up to it physically and going to bed at 5.30am didn't help. My body hurts :crying: I don't have the energy to take the lift downstairs to see my friend, he'll have to wait until tomorrow to tell me his good news (this is the one I was worried about on Sunday night - he's still alive, didn't even get a thanks for checking on him).

Just had a shower and put my new pjs on :D They're really comfy and I can hear my bed calling me. My freeview recorder keeps freezing so I can't watch live tv. I'm recording something to watch later to see if it will work that way. Until then it's reading or sleep.

Went to town late night shopping with my friends to get my aunty a birthday present and then we went to see Four Christmases, was really good :)

Haven't heard off the chinese buffet though, I doubt I will now. I'm gutted but I'll just have to keep looking.
Although it's not gone down well with my Mum and Dad, Mums rang me like 7 times today! To see if they'd contacted me, and I said no.. then she rang me back and told me to ring them, but I couldn't get through.. or so I told her. I don't want to seem liek I'm pushy. Then she rang me in the cinema and basically had a go at me. I cannot win. I don't understand why they're so fussed on me gettgin a job.. they don't give me any money at all! They pay for my driving lessons fair enough... but they promised me that, I pay for it sometimes too. I'm grateful for that... but they're making out as though they pay for everything! When thats what my Nan does.. and she shouldn't be doing that, and I'm only looking for a job for her sake, get out of her hair with all this money stuff.. and I want a job anyways.
I don't know. I never know what my Mum and Dad think.. they don't tell me what they think, they just talk about me to my Nan. :(

Kirsty - I share your frustration! My mum and dad kept going on and on at me about getting a job, lucky I found one now.. I hope you find a job soon. Just keep looking and tell your parents you're trying your best :)

I've had a busy week so far.. had school in the day, then I am out again for another 4 hours to do training at Homebase. I get really nervous each day though, like what if i can't do something? but the past two training days have been good and I've done alright.. I'm just nervous again today! I think once I know what I'm doing and I get into a routine with the new job, I'll feel fine again :)

Perdita
04-12-2008, 11:40
Dave, the point of training is to teach somebody to do what they can't do, there is no need to get nervous :) I understand where you are coming from though, I always feel the same although I should know better :D
Feeling a little better but will refuse the same treatment tomorrow if the doc can't offer me something different.

What a rubbish rubbish day. I jsut want to cry!
Got home from school and in English me, and 3 other friends always take the mic and have a laugh with each other.. without crossing lines or going personal (2 boys and 2 girls) oh no not today!

I had my phone on the table on the slight off chance I mayy get a phonecall and then we were doing work and then 10 minutes in one of the boys asked me who this boy was (basically a boy I've been texting but o-one knows about it apart from my closest girl friends.. it's over now though) and I was like... where is my phone?!
Turns out they'd taken my phone and had it for about 10 minutes and had read my text messages!

My teacher didn't even stick up for me! She said "well it could be argued that if you had your phone turned off then they couldn't of done it.
Yeah fair enough.. but that's not the point, you don't take someones phone and read their messages without their permission! It's jsut plain rude and disrespectful!! :(:(

Of course the boys found it funny... I'll be the one laughing though. I always download the one boy songs because no-one else will/can and the other boy is constantly pouring his heart out to me about his little love triangle with the other boy and one of my closest girl friends... so next time they want songs or advice.. they won't be getting it from me. No way!!
Am I right to be annoyed or am I completely over reacting? I jsut feel like, they've really disrespected me.
Sorry for the rant.

Perdita
04-12-2008, 13:52
Would you be able to lock the keys on your phone? I had a phone once where I could do this and I had to unlock the keypad before I was able to do anything else apart from answer calls.

You are correct, they should not have read your text messages without your permission, you are right to feel upset.

Kirsty :]
04-12-2008, 13:55
My keypad was locked, but it's pretty much the same on most phones and even if you try they give you directions to actually unlock the phone :(

That's ok then... I did think I was slightly over-reacting, because they;'re text messages... but they're my text messages and if i wnated people to read them I would of typed them up and put them in a flipping book! :(

Perdita
04-12-2008, 13:59
You had to enter the PIN no. on my old phone to unlock the keypad. I thought it was a very useful facility, surprised it does not appear to be available anymore as my other 3 phones did not have it. :(

Abigail
04-12-2008, 15:08
You can still PIN lock your phone, you just have to find out where. It should tell you in your user manual how to do it.

I'd be mortified if someone read my messages. They're out of order doing that.

Going for a snooze then heading to the library.
