although we are led to believe she died in the (very clean) quarry, i dont think she is dead because the last shot was from a distance looking at max, katy, warren and justin - she may be back when the ratings go rubbish?

:hmm: i did think the same becuase of that last shot but im not sure she could have survived! I really hope they dont bring her back, i hope that was the end for her. The clare thing dragged on for too long for me

I think it'll be like Dirty Den from eastenders, everyones going to think she's died for like a year and then she'll come back and freak the life out of everyone :lol:

Hope she's not dead, even though she was evil she was a great character (and Gemma Bissex is a great actress!)

Yeah, I reckon that they would consider bringing her back in a few years if they needed a ratings boost. Though they could only do that if characters closely linked to her, ie Warren, Justin, Max where still around. Otherwise she would have no reason to return.

I hope she's dead it would be quite fitting seeing as she failed to bump Max off via drowning.

I have to agree about that quarry though it was awfully clean.

When I saw the shot of them in the quarry, I figured she'd be back to get mega revenge at Christmas. Isn't there talk of a hostage situation and a major culling of the cast?

But after seeing that I'd rather her not come back for a while, now we know she's alive. Give her chance to get out of our minds, and give her time to get a story outside of Chester, then bring her back :D

I started watching Hollyoaks when Claire was plotting against Max, so it's the end of an era now she's gone :(

Im so sad shes gone, shes been such a great character! to think she only came into the show as some girl Max hired to help out at the club! She has to go down as one of Hollyoaks greatest characters for me, love her! Not sure about seeing her back at xmas though - is it too soon?? :hmm:

but if max thinks shes dead and he gets remarried (to steph hopefully) hed be a bigimist for not getting divorced to clare or even if she maries her next vitcim surely max would find out. or were they divorced way before she left ?

i thought she wasn't going to be dead.
But i have just read in the sun paper that hse is going to join eastenders by playing the part she played when she first joined.
So looks like she is not going back to hollyoaks.

Sh must have had a clost escape, and I mean getting away without max and ther others seeing her! And gosh she must be able to hold her breath for a long time lol!!!!!
