View Full Version : Strictly's sexiest ever line-up
Why couldn't they have done the same as X-Factor and stopped the judges deciding. Atleast Alisha may have gone then instead of Tish. So happy Matt still in, thought he would be as he was the bottom, and the bottom person usually get's the public vote.
I totally agree, I was so upset that Tish went, Matt should definetely have gone, its a traversty!

there's only gonna be two in the final. like last year when jimmy tarbuck dropped out.

I missed the show this week so I can't comment on celebrities dancing, but I'm disapointed that Letisha went. I was hoping she would have been in the final. I take it next week the judges won't get to decide who stays and who goes. If it is down to the public I can see Aliesha getting the boot. After being in the bottom two last night proves she isn't as popular with the public as she is with the judges. I think the final will be between Matt and Gethin with Gethin to win.
Is it only the final week when the viewers vote alone that counts, or is there going to be a dance off next week aswell??
Only reason I ask, is that like this week, with Alesha in the bottom two, the dance off was slightly pointless as we all knew who the judges were going to put through, so how is it going to work from now on?
I know that there will still be one going next week, and then two only for the final, but how is that one going to be decided - dance off and judges vote again or purely following the viewer vote, with no dance off??
Does anyone know?

her jive was painful, i would not liked seeing her trying a samba in the final, plus she's doing panto so the whole thing would have done her head in.

maybe gethin to win, but maybe alesha was in the bottom two because people thought she was safe and matt got a massive rush of sympathy votes due to his distaters. plus Matt has been in the bottom two previously. gethin never has though, he is a very interesting dark horse.
OK, fair enough Tish is' jive wasn't the best, but she should have got to the semi at least! Matt was v.bad on saturday.

Len and Bruno played the AGE CARD with Matt saying he is only 20 years old blah blah blah,, ok Matt did pretty bad on Sat but NOT THAT BAD.. Letita just could not do the flicks and kicks she needed to do with the jive,,I can not remember which judge kept talking about Letitas feet,,one of them said she used them like a toddler,,
Well Matt is going to have to work extra hard this week and pull himself out of whatever it was last week:searchme:

exactly what I thought as well. And they put her against Alesha so the judges had no choice but to save her, if they had put Tish against Matt it would have been a tougher choice 'cos he really screwed up - twice !! -
I think he should be next to go, Matt obviously can't handle the pressure, and has the wrong attitude.
I cant wait till next week, Im backing Aleesha all the way :cheer:

although he does have the added advantage of dancing with the World Argentine Tango champion! oh how i love the Argentine Tango, cannot wait to see Alesha's!
so what other dances are they doing this weekend? from my calculations the dances they have left are...Alesha- Quickstep (yey!), Gethin- Paso (er...) and Matt- Waltz (hmmm), does that sound right?

Exactly i dont think they banked on Matt being so rubbish so they had all the people who work there ringing up voting to save Matt, after all if Matt wasn't in that dance off it doesn't matter who Tish was up against she would have gone out either way if she faced Aleesha or Gethin

Despite the judges constantly reminding us that this is a dancing competition, the public are still taking popularity over dancing talents and Matt has a bigger fanbase than Tish. If it is down to the judges deciding again who goes I can see it being Matt and Aleshia in the dance off and who will they choose then.
hmm I dont know what its is about Gethin, I just dont like him, I know he is a young dancer and has improved, there is just something about it and popular-wise he aint for me

He wasn't one of my favourites in the competition and I expected him to go out early, but he has improved a lot over the last 12 weeks, he does deserve his place in the final. I'm not found of any the dancers left in the competition all the ones I liked have been chucked.
Im not saying he doesnt deserve a place in the final, but thats as far as it goes with me, I find the other two more interesting to watch for me

I really really want Gethin and Camilla to get through to the final but, after having just watched It Takes Two I'm worried. Showed footage of all 3 semi finalists training and G&C looked considerably weaker than the other 2.

I wish they'd stop the Judges deciding between the bottom too. They should have done what the X Factor did, and stop a few shows before the finale.

well the public voted matt out of the bottom two the week he forgot his dances, that had nothing to do with the judges.
yeah he got loads of sympathy votes, but I do emphasise with him as when you get a mind blank, you just forget everything.

Yes I agree but at that time there was still weaker dancer like Kenny and Kate still in the competition and in fairness to all competitors they had to go as they were the weakest dancers, but when the competition enters its last 3 or 4 weeks then it should be up the public who vote who's stays. If it went to the public vote when Letishia and Aleshia were in the bottom 2 I bet that Aleshia would have been the one sent home, likewise last Saturday it would have been Matt who lost out. and Letishia and Gethin would have been in the final as those two have progressed more in the competition more than Alesha and Matt.

If it went to the public vote when Letishia and Aleshia were in the bottom 2 I bet that Aleshia would have been the one sent home, likewise last Saturday it would have been Matt who lost out. and Letishia and Gethin would have been in the final as those two have progressed more in the competition more than Alesha and Matt.
you can't say that like you know alesha was just bound to go, she'd never been in the bottom two before- and if you look at the scores throughout the series she's certainly not been top with the judges every week. and i wish people would stop saying alesha hasn't progressed, she's gone from throwing herself about in the latin and slightly stiff ballroom to being great at both. letisha also preogressed but went from being a bit ropey to a rather good dancer, its just that alesha has progressed to a higher level and i don't see why she should be penalised for being good and working hard!

I loved Matt's freestyle. It was awesome.
I thought Alesha made a mistake at the end of her freestyle, I think she was meant to be lifted all the way up, but didn't reach it. You could tell it was all over her face. Nevertheless she was a superb dancer and rightfully won the competition.
