Al Molinaro: 'Happy Days' Actor Dies at Age 96
Molinaro died in a Wisconsin hospital on Thursday, his son confirmed. He was known for playing Al Delvecchio on the ABC sitcom "Happy Days" and for his role in ABC's "The Odd Couple."

David Hasselhoff has changed his name to David Hoff.
The former 'Baywatch' actor - who is nicknamed The Hoff - claims he has wanted to make the change for years and has overjoyed to have undergone the change.
Announcing his new moniker in a YouTube video, he said: "I've been wanting to drop the Hassel from my life for years. Now I have made it official."
And the 63-year-old star - who showed off framed documents bearing his new surname - is feeling "great" thanks to his shortened name.
He tweeted: "Big news today and a massive relief for me. I hope everyone can understand... it feels great!"
David recently admitted he is worried the forthcoming 'Baywatch' movie will be a "joke" and would only agree to appear in the much-discussed movie alongside Zac Efron if it were to remain true to the original storyline.
Asked if he's been offered a role in the movie, David said: "I don't really know [if I'm in it]. I don't really know if I want to be in it."
David also said he'd previously been offered the chance to appear in a movie version of another of his TV shows, 'Knight Rider', but was unimpressed with the script.
He added: "You know, I saw a 'Knight Rider' script and I hated it. The girl said, 'What did you think?' And I said, 'When it got to my part the script flew out of my hand.' I never saw it again.
"You know, if 'Knight Rider' is true to 'Knight Rider', I would do it. If 'Baywatch' is going to be a joke, I don't think so.
"I might do 'Baywatch' the musical or something like that. Make it something as close to what it was. They laughed at it but they still loved it. I don't want it to be a joke."

Actor Warren Mitchell, famous for his television role as Alf Garnett in the series Till Death Us Do Part, has died.
Mitchell's agent confirmed the 89-year-old's death.
A statement from the actor's family said: "Sadly we can confirm Warren Mitchell died in the early hours of Saturday, November 14, surrounded by his family."
In contrast to his screen role as a racist, homophobic, chauvinistic and sexist character, Mitchell was in reality a socialist.
Nevertheless, he was still being stopped in the street 40 years on by fans who thought he really was like his character.
He once admitted some similarities to Garnett, saying: "Opinionated male chauvinistic pig at times, I suppose. As my wife Connie once said to me, 'You are like that awful Alf Garnett, only he's funny and you're not'."
Reacting to news of his death, comedian Ricky Gervais tweeted: "Alf Garnett was one of the most influential and important characters and performances in comedy history. RIP Warren Mitchell."

Famous '70s TV star Dan Haggerty -- who played Grizzly Adams -- died from cancer early Friday morning ... TMZ has learned.
Haggerty died after battling cancer for the last few months. Sources close to Dan's family tell us doctors discovered the cancer after he had surgery for back pain.
Haggerty starred in the 1977 hit TV show "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams" as the lovable mountain man whose BFF was a grizzly bear. He also guest starred on several TV shows like "CHiPs" and "Charlie's Angels."
Haggerty was getting treatment in a hospital until recently when doctors told him the end was near and his son told close friends and family to come visit over the last few days before he passed.
Bunny Ranch owner and friend of Haggertys Dennis Hof tells TMZ, "Grizzly Adams was my friend for 20 years, the Bunnys loved him, he loved to drink with the Bunnys and told amazing jokes."
Dan was 74.

Very sad to hear the news of Sir Terry's passing. His Radio 2 Breakfast show was just the tonic to wake up to each morning, who can forget his send ups of Dallas and Dysentery. :) His hand over's to Jimmy Young and in later times to Ken Bruce were so funny and legendary. More recently he had a nice charming Sunday Morning show on Radio 2.
Then there was Eurovision, the only reason to watch the ridiculous 10 hour marathon was because of Sir Tel's witty commentary, much to the annoyance of other countries. Terry was the best presenter of Blankety Blank (everybody wanted a Blankety Blank cheque book and pen), his thrice weekly Chat shows were legendary in the mid 80's and early 90's (taking over from Parky who has misjudged leaving the BBC for TV-AM,) Points of View and perhaps Terry's biggest triumph and legacy will be the charity Children In Need.
Heaven will be a witty, funnier place now. Here's to our favourite adopted gentle Irishman. :clap: RIP Sir Terry.

The statement released by Daniels' publicist read: "We can confirm that one of our greatest magicians and entertainers of all times, Paul Daniels, has sadly been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour.
"On behalf of Paul, Debbie and their families, we thank you for your kind concerns and support at this sad time and ask that their privacy continues to be respected. There will be no further comments at this time."
Daniels is married to fellow entertainer Debbie McGee, television, radio and stage performer who has acted as Daniels' assistant in his shows.
McGee shared the sad news with an update on her Twitter page, sharing a link to the statement on Paul Daniels' website with the accompanying message: "With great sadness."

Very sad news. He is such a nice man. He's due to appear at our theatre on 25th March. This would have been his third visit in three years. He and Debbie are real pleasures to work with. They are both very friendly and "muck in", no demands and putting on airs as "star performers" like we get with some artistes. Very down to earth and also very appreciative of everyone at the theatre and goes out of his way to thank everyone.
Also, of course, such a consumate performer and a truly great magician. He played an enormous part in keeping magic alive, both in the theatre and on television.
Yes, very sad news.

Nancy Reagan has died ... TMZ has learned from a close family member.
The former first lady was living in Bel Air and has been in failing health in recent years. She died from congestive heart failure at her home.
Mrs. Reagan married Ronald in 1952 and went on to became a First Lady who at first was severely criticized for her fancy taste -- particularly in china -- but went on to become beloved, along with her husband.
She'll be buried next to her husband at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.
Nancy was a former actress who starred in B movies, before meeting her future husband.
She was fiercely loyal to Ronald and extremely protective, often getting in his ear about White House staffers she thought were less than loyal.
In one famous moment during Ronald Reagan's presidency, he was asked a difficult question and Nancy whispered an answer, "We're doing the best we can."
During her time as First Lady, she created the "Just Say No" to drugs campaign.

The American soul singer Billy Paul has died at the age of 80.
He was best known for his 1972 hit Me and Mrs Jones, which won a Grammy award and reached number one in the US.
A statement on his website said he died on Sunday of a "serious medical condition". The NME music magazine has reported that this was pancreatic cancer.
Mr Paul, who was born as Paul Williams in Philadelphia, helped shape the course of modern R&B music.
In his youth, he performed alongside soul legends including Charlie Parker and Nina Simone.
His biggest hit Me and Mrs Jones, about an extra-marital affair, has been covered by artists including Michael Buble and Hall & Oates.
In 2003, Mr Paul won a $500,000 (then £250,534) lawsuit for royalties owed for it from 1994 to 2002 by Assorted Music.
The company said it was an accounting issue and not a case of trying to cheat anyone out of money.
Mr Paul is survived by his wife, Blanche Williams.

Television writer Carla Lane, who created shows including 1980s Liverpool sitcom Bread, has died aged 87.
Lane, who was born in Liverpool and later became known for her animal rights activism, also wrote Butterflies and co-wrote The Liver Birds.
She died at Stapely Care Home on Tuesday, her family confirmed.
They paid tribute to her "quick wit, determination and passion" which "brought Liverpool to life on screen for others to share".
The family said: "With heavy hearts we said goodbye to our darling Carla today.
"But with smiles on our faces we also take this opportunity to reflect on her incredible achievements all of which make us so unbelievably proud to be part of her family."

Lane first became known for The Liver Birds, a sitcom which focused on the lives of two women who shared a flat together in Liverpool, co-writing and creating the programme with her friend and fellow Liverpudlian Myra Taylor.
The programme aired from 1969 to 1979 and returned for a one-off series in 1996.
Her next sitcom, Butterflies, which aired from 1978 to 1983, focused on the lives of the Parkinson family and helped launch the career of actor Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Lane then created and wrote Bread, which focused on the working class Boswell family as they struggled through the city's high unemployment and poor prospects in the late 1980s. It aired for seven series between 1986 and 1991.
Much of her work focused on women's lives and featured frustrated housewives and working class matriarchs.
She received an OBE for services to writing in 1989 but returned it to the then Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2002 in disgust at animal cruelty.
In 1995, Lane was given a Royal Television Society award for her Outstanding Contribution to British Television.
Lane later became known for looking after hundreds of rescue animals - running an animal sanctuary from her mansion in Horsted Keynes, Sussex, until 2009 - and was a close friend of Sir Paul McCartney's late wife Linda.
Speaking to the Observer in 2008 about their friendship, Lane said: "She had a lot of good friends, but we were friendship-struck from moment one.
"We used to sit on the lawn with our two puppies, kicking leaves, and looking at them. We were like two scientists trying to find out why people don't like animals, and what we'd do to them, if we only could."
Lane also had an animal sanctuary named after her.
Fran Ellis, founder and trustee at the Carla Lane Animals in Need Sanctuary in Melling, Merseyside, paid tribute to a "champion of animal welfare".
"We changed the name of our charity to recognise the work done by this special lady. Her name will live on in all we do," she said.
BBC entertainment correspondent Lizo Mzimba said Lane was someone that "understood people and that's why she was able to write them so well... there was a real degree of honesty".
Tributes have been paid to the comedy writer on Twitter.
Actress Melanie Hill, who played Aveline in Bread and starred in long-running school TV drama Waterloo Road, tweeted: "Very sad to hear #CarlaLane has left us. Writer and creator of many fantastic shows @BBCOne #bread #Aveline."

Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger has become a dad for the eighth time at the age of 73, his publicist has said.
The new addition is his first child with ballerina Melanie Hamrick.
A statement said: "Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger's son was born today in New York and they are both delighted.
"Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time."
He has seven other children with four different women, including jewellery designer Jade and models Lizzie and Georgia May Jagger. Their ages range from 17 to 46 years old.
Jagger also has five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

According to CBS Los Angeles, Gabor's friend and former publicist Ed Lozzi has confirmed that the star passed away at her home on Sunday afternoon (December 18).
No further details are available at this point, although TMZ reports that Gabor died from a heart attack. Her health had been declining, and for a number of years she had been cared for at home.
Born in 1917 in Hungary, Zsa Zsa and her younger sister Eva were well-known Hollywood actresses and socialites.

My friend had a heart attack on a plane. The plane had to stay at heathrow for an extra hour while they saved her life. After she survived the company tried to sue her for the extra hour spent at heathrow.

Actor Sir Roger Moore, best known for playing James Bond, has died aged 89, his family has announced.
He played the famous spy in seven Bond films including Live and Let Die and the Spy Who Loved Me.
Sir Roger's family confirmed the news on Twitter, saying he had died after "a short but brave battle with cancer".
The statement, from his children, read: "Thank you Pops for being you, and being so very special to so many people."
Sir Roger There will be a private funeral in Monaco, they added.

Peter Sallis has died at the age of 96, his agents have announced.
The actor was best known for appearing in Last of the Summer Wine and was also famous as the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit.
His agent confirmed he died peacefully with his family by his side.
Sallis played Norman "Cleggy" Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine from its first episode in 1973 until the series concluded in 2010.
He was the only actor to appear in all 295 episodes of the sitcom.

Adam West, star of the 1960s series Batman, died Friday night (9 June) in Los Angeles at the age of 88.
A representative told Variety that the actor died after being treated briefly for leukaemia.
“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,” his family said in a statement.
West remained a working actor until his death, doing recurring voice work for animated projects including Family Guy - in which he played himself - and Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.
He also made cameos as himself on US sitcoms 30 Rock and The Big Bang Theory.
Mr West made his feature debut in 1959’s The Young Philadelphians which starred Paul Newman before finding universal recognition with his tongue-in-cheek portrayal of the Caped Crusader in Batman. The series earned a cult statys thanks to its onscreen fight graphics of the words 'wham!' and 'pow!'.
West is survived by his wife, Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cherie Blair's father Tony Booth, the Till Death Us Do Part actor and political campaigner, has died.
His family announced the 85-year-old died on Monday night.
He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2004 and had also suffered heart problems.
A statement released on behalf of his wife Steph Booth said: "It is with sadness we announce the death of Antony Booth, actor and political campaigner.

US actor and singer David Cassidy, who found fame in The Partridge Family before going on to become a 1970s teen pop idol, has died aged 67.
"David died surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long," a family statement said.
He was admitted to hospital last week after suffering multiple organ failure.

I think he may have came back to work too soon after his last time in rehab, he clearly needs a lot of help and is also in the midst of a divorce
I think they are now showing the last 2 episodes without Ant, obviously, not decided yet whether just Declan or whether a guest co-presenter will be arranged for. I can imagine legal reasons that they have to conclude this with some winners off to Florida .. they need to show a conclusion to this competition

Maybe. Seems very strange to announce this now, after 27 years married. Lots of people are saying how brave he is, but I just think it's rotten for his wife and kids. Why not announce this sooner?

He said he has been thinking about this for a long time. Sometimes I can imagine a parent staying in the family home until the children are out of education and leaving their own lives before making an announcement. Maybe if he was younger he might have done it sooner too. We do not really know when he had the first conversation with his wife and family about his feelings...

In the very early days of the Mersey Sound, Gerry and the Pacemakers was my favourite group, even above The Beatles. I never saw them at the time, but, fortunately, I got to see Gerry Marsden at my theatre about three years ago. He was very frail and could barely walk properly. His speaking voice was also very weak, but as soon as he got on stage he changed completely and was still able to belt out all the old favourites just like the old days.
Not just because he was one of my first favourite singers, but also, being a Liverpool supporter, I have always held a warm spot in my heart for Gerry. He will be sadly missed.

Nicola Pagett has died aged 75 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, her family has confirmed.
Pagett was best known for playing Elizabeth Bellamy, the rebellious daughter of Richard and Lady Marjorie, in 1970s TV series Upstairs, Downstairs.
Performances in Harold Pinter plays, notably 1985's Old Times, also defined her 30-year stage and screen career.
Her daughter Eve Swannell confirmed she passed "very peacefully" on Wednesday.
It followed a brain tumour diagnosis under three weeks ago, she told BBC News.
"It was extremely sudden" she added. "I was by her side".
Pagett's role as Bellamy in the first two series of ITV's 1971 drama Upstairs, Downstairs helped the show win four Emmys.
Her character's storyline, dominated by a tumultuous love life while stuck in a loveless marriage, included conceiving a child through an affair with a publisher, before leaving for New York.
It was Pagett's idea to exit the series because she said she "didn't want to be known for one thing only."
