View Full Version : Strictly Come Dancing
Okay, well the show started last night, and its different this year, well its seems that the males dnace first then one getas voted off, then its the girls turn, but the girls did do a group dance.
So lets discuss the show here:
I liked it last night though, and im glad a week dancer went first, unlike last year when the weaker dances were saved.I think they have some good people this year and cant wait to see the girls dance next week.

neither can i, i think i like the way the voting is going this year. i like the people that they have signed up to dance.
i was watching on the commentary with the red button and i still cant get over that when the girls were doing the group mambo the commentators called louisa a little girl. was funny at the time.
its good to see that they have the same judges again.
ooo what was the commentry like? I didnt put that on.
its good to see that they have the same judges again. yer thats another good point about this show, it keeps the same judges and they all have diferent personalities, I like Bruno hes so funny the way he describes things.

ooo what was the commentry like? I didnt put that on.
it was ok, it just explained what moves the dancers were doing, if they were doing them correctly. basically it was just what the judges say but during the performance, but it wasnt the judges, if you get me.

i would try the commentry but i think i would find it distracting, hoepfully Len will explain it all to us during It Takes Too like he did last year!
and yes, what a good start, they have some really good blokes lined up this year, i think they really pulled their fingers out after Darren winning last year and want to keep blokes watching. although that new dancer, Olga i think, the blonde one. does anyone think she's had a boob job? sorry, but they look a bit disproportunate to the rest of her to me.
and i think with the girls from the little we've seen that they've put some really good couples together this year. like Emma Bunton and Darren look really cute together and Claire King and Brendan is obviously genius! aw and Erin and Peter Schmiechul (sp?!) looked like a good pair for working together too.
so its the quickstep (Erin and Aton had me actually gasping in amazement during the show dance!) and the always raunchy rumba next week, should be rather exciting. is it me or have they changed the format so that the dancers have two weeks to train for each solo dance instead of one?

How good was Peter Schmichael dancing on Saturday night. He was really nervous but I hope he goes far in the competition. Its a shame Nicholas Owen went out. Its the girls this week hopefully Emma Bunton or Louisa Lynton will go first, I want Anton to win or to make it to the final
Anton deserves to stay in longer - hes such a character - hes brilliant!!
I think everyone thinks Darren and Emma are going to win this year, but I'd rather they didn't. As much as I like Darren Bennett, I can't stand Emma Bunton. Ian Waite I think is as arrogant as Brendan, though I would quite like to see Brendan and Claire do well in the final - she looks like she could give him a run for his money. I'd like one of the lads to win again this year though I think, as its much harder for them, than women, lets face it.
my mum said that she cant understand why Anyon always gets the pants dancer and therefore is never in it very long.
I think Schmeichal was so funny especially when he was smiling all the way through. I have a feeling Ray could win if he performs like that every week. I liked Spoony as well/
I felt so embarrassed for Ray especially after the comment about his costume :rotfl: I had to stop myself from pausing Sky + to have a look :rotfl:
i know, mind you his wasnt the worst im sure Ally McCoist will have something to say on a question of sport about Matt Dawsons outfit, what was that all about. He gets enough Stick as it is.
L Cant Stick Louissa Lyton so i really want her to go, i know thats harsh but i just dont like her.

hey, he was in the final in the first series with Lesley Garret. but yeah, its annoying when you lose the really good dancers with the fab personalities early on. I have no idea about the celeb guy Karen's dancing with, but she's so fab they had better stay!

I love this show, great saturday night entertainment for the family. Go on Louisa Lytton!! I am supporting Louisa and Emma bunton, so hope one of them win. Ray and Camilla were good as well. I chose this over the X-factor, and will continue too.
Anton deserves to stay in longer - hes such a character - hes brilliant!!
awwww i know i think its great, but sometimes i think it awkward to watch him do the more 'sexy' dances
lol yeah - he doesn't quite do the Mamba aswell as Darren or Brendan does he?! Not quite the same effect! Hes definitely more a ballroom dancer.

erin's pretty rubbish at the latin too, i get the impression her and anton think they're above that sort of thing. ah brendan and claire were great on it takes two tonight!
Good show tonight, im just waiting for the results, I feel sorry for Calrie, if brendon is going to keep braking the rules
Well Micha went what do you think guys, was it fair?
Well that was a surprise! Mica and Ian going, although Im glad it wasn't Georgina in a way, although I think she may well be gone next week instead lol
although I think she may well be gone next week instead lol yer i think so too, but next week are both male and females celebs dancing or is it still alternating ?
Both are dancing next week - so it could be Peter S's turn or Matt D's, or even Jimmy T's if hes feeling better again.
I think the guys were doing the Tango, but can't remember what they said the girls were dancing.
Both are dancing next week
o good cos i didnt like the alternating thing
I thought it was good to start off with initially, but glad its going back to "normal" next week - maybe it was to do with time or something..

I was disapointed that Louisa and Emma did so well as I wanted one of them to be first out. I hope either Matt or Peter make it to the end as I think its more difficult for a man to learn to dance than it is a female as they have to learn how to lead.
Definitely Kath - I want to see one of the guys win again this year and would love for Emma to be out soon and Louise too

and would love for Emma to be out soon and Louise too
yeah but they're both pretty good, and isn't that the point of the show, or am i being naive? ;) Louisa really surprised me actually, the choreography on that quickstep was dazzling!
i didn't want Mischa to go really, i think ian's a good teacher and could have really improved her. plus Gerogina seems kinda boring in comparison, and also didn't seem to be enjoyed it that much in training whereas Mischa was really keen and having great fun! and aaaah a much-expected Brendan and Claire controversey, i thought Arlene and Len were really harsh giving them 4s, although i can see their point, a 5 or 6 would have been more appropriate in my opinion.
any idea what's up with Jimmy? hope he's ok to compete, he adds a bit of variety to the male line-up.
They were good - not disputing that, but Emma was the bookies fave from the start, which already puts loads of pressure on her and whilst Louisa was good, I think like Len said, it was soooo complicated, it was great, but I got lost in it completely. I would love for one of the guys to win and for the bookies to be completely wrong for a change.

Saw it lastnight (we taped it then watched it after xfactor then taped the Xfactor results so we could watch SCD results) not sure who i liked really, Louisa wasnt bad didnt really pay much attention to many others as we was talking more than watching it, didnt like Georgina or thewoman that went out.
Who went out last week? i never saw it and we looked at the names at the advert from a tape but couldnt work out who was missing
Not sure i would bother again i was only because i was down stairs and my cousin and my mum like it that i watched it (and also because Ems told me i should) not really my sort of thing
I thought Georgina would go, not exactly the most natrual dancer. glad she didnt though. I also wanted Louisa to go, why does she have to be quite good i cant stand her.
CArol smilie impressed me last night.

I agree thought georgina would of gone she is the finoa of the competition but suppose they go in there to learn and she does want to learn.
I love claire and brendon last night he broke the rules again but he is a bad boy
CArol smilie impressed me last night.
Same here I wasnt expecting her to be that good.
Carol reminded me of Natasha Kaplinsky in a way from Series One - the way she danced and surprised me in her ability. She was really pushing him in training too wasn't she.
Nicholas Owen went last week Vicky.
I had a feeling Nicolas would go, ge was the newsreader wasnt he. He really was awfu, i thought we had another Duirrmut Gavin on our hands with him.
I get what you mean about the simularities with Natasha Kaplinski.
I also took till last nights to work out Jan Ravens was the woman out of Deadringers. I hope she stays for a while as i think shes great. not dancewise but a cracking personalty. Its great seeing her and Amton in Training.

yeah, same here. when anton really connects with someone its really nice to watch. that could easily keep her in if audiences warm to her like he has. omg, it was so funny when she fell and just made a joke of it!

Shame about Mica Paris but her figure is not that of a Ballroom Dancer !! That first dress was just awful ! The week Nicholas went, she looked like a big banana
Shame about Mica Paris but her figure is not that of a Ballroom Dancer !! That first dress was just awful ! The week Nicholas went, she looked like a big banana Don't forget though Mr H - she has just had a baby not long ago, so her figure isn't going to be the same as Miss Lyttons.
Anton is pure brilliance - the connection that him and Jan Ravens have obviously made can certainly be seen when they are dancing. It was a shame when she fell though, but at least they carried on and made a joke about it afterwards - they aren't professionals (well one half of each partnership isn't) and sometimes that seems to get overlooked.

I had forgotten that actually !! But without being rude and please dont any mod give me a warning for this. But her top half kept on moving long after the bottom half of her body had stopped. Which must have been difficult for her. :rotfl:

I think in some ways, Georgina got through because of the sympathy vote though - I know I felt sorry for her and wanted her to stay just to annoy the judges after their comments.

oHHHHHHH I am finally here gang,,, yeaaaaaaaa my favorite time of the year,,,
Ok lessee Matt has got to go.. hes awful,, ok thats my observation,,
Ray omg hes gorgeous,,Peter is a dancing giant thats for sure,, Spoony would be a better dancer if he would stop trying to smooch his partner ( didn't she say right off that her hubby doesnt want her kissing her celeb partner??)
I sorta like Carol Smille. I don't like Claire( shes just too hard for me to watch ) or Georgina ( shes just a poser not a dancer )sorry gang,,
Jimmy Tarbuck bless his heart, hes a doll.. he is the kinda guy u wanna hug..
Now what about Mark ?? he is down right lovely, what a smile, he has the body of a Greek God...
Emma is not gonna make it,, even tho shes got a great partner,,Jan has Anton,, so she should go pretty far into the contest,, Anton is a great dancer, and a patient teacher.
Hmm have I covered every one ???? If I didn't Ill catch up later. muwahhhhhhhh for who ever started this thread:love:

She is OBVIOUSLY the worst dancer of the lot. You could tell that every one was shocked to see her and James still in the contest :searchme: :wall:
BTW did any one notice how possessive James is of his wife Ola ??While the other contestants sit with their professional partners,, Ola sits or stands with her husband, didn't he give her strict orders not to hug or kiss her celebrity partner ??? I would have loved to be a bug on James shoulder and eavesdropped on what he said to Ola when she and Spoony were voted off..

Louisa & Vincent and Claire & Brendan are the two couples that have caught my eye.
At least shes trying, its showing that not everyone can be perfect. I quite like Georgina and shes entertaining to watch.

Louisa once again was completely great, although I bet she has some bruises this morning, what makes it so better is the fact she never had completed the whole dance until that night because of her dancer's injury.
Pleased Spoony went, cant stand him. He just looks like a Perv!
Louisa is just amazing! She totally deserved that 10 and i think that was the best Jive so far (on the series) but also the best dance!!!!
Considering she is only 17 and what happened to Vincent - she did amazing!! :cheer:
Bit gutted spooney went, liked him - i think he had potential. But What the hell is Georgina still doing there  she is crap get her out!!!
I just love Anton, I wish one series they will give him a good partner who he might be able to win with, i like Jan and all, but i don't think they will be winnning, but like if Anton had Louisa or Emma then things would be different.

oh my word, what an exciting episode! really enjoyed it all, and yes, well done to Brendan for speaking up- the judges really were all over the place, giving completely different scores to people! you could tell Camilla was really upset too over what they said about her and Ray, who were fabulous!
yeah, not too upset that Georgina has gone, nice of her to good out on a good note though. i really feel for Jan, she obviously really loves dancing and just gets so frustrated with herself. ah and Claire made me laugh, you could just see when they were on the spotlight bit that she just had the giggles and was trying so hard not to laugh!
and on top of that, the dresses were amazing this week!

No Jodi I hope your wrong. I don't want Peter or Jan to be in the bottom two as I want Peter to win and Anton is my favourite dancer. I'm hoping that louisa or Emma have a badnight and one of them goes home.
Thank God she went last night
Yeh fair enough i'll give her her dew, she was good last night, but i am so glad finally Georgina has gone!! And i don't like James, he is a bit harsh!
Why every series do they give Anton a celeb who is good and who won't win, i know i have said it before but argh. Anton deserves to win.
Karen and Mark were good last night, expected a bit more from Louisa and Vincent but they were still great.

EMMA Bunton has blasted Strictly Come Dancing rival Brendan Cole — for calling her a teacher’s pet and saying she didn’t deserve her high marks.
The former Spice Girl said: “Brendan should concentrate on what he’s doing with Claire King. Her performance was overridden by him.
“He thought we were marked too high. I would never say anything like that to anyone.”
Emma’s partner Darren Bennett waded into the row and said: “I don’t care what Brendan thought — Emma gave a very good performance.
“If he wants to make such comments he should go and be a judge.”
Its a shame this in fighting could be starting - it could ruin it for everyone. I personally agreed with everything Brendan said, and was impressed by the guts that he had to say it.
I do find the judges marks strange sometimes. There have been a couple of occasions where I've thought that they've been marked very high for no reason, or very low - like Arlene giving a 2 - what on earth was that about!! :searchme:

I agree with Brendan both Emma and Louisa are like teachers pets with they judges. Its supposed to be a bit of fun for charity and the judges give 2 points to some couples and 8 to others who they like. It doesnt matter that some celebrities are not as nimble on their feet as others they should not be aloud to give a score lest than 5 to any couple and the results should be made on the viewers vote only not the judges vote.
I agree Layne - they should give Anton someone with a fighting chance of winning instead of the past-it old dames that he always gets. Although there is only a couple of years between Jan and Carole, you'd think it was more like a decade or two. Anton should have got Carole or Emma this time.
Anyone for starting a BE FAIR TO ANTON campaign?

I misunderstood what Brendan was saying. He said he flipped last saturday because one judge says something like 'That was amazing' and gives them an 8, and the other says completly awful' and gives them a 2. I thought he had flipped because the judges the other week peanalised him for doing lifts and being dirty etc, and then when he did a perfectly reasonable Foxtrot they all said 'stick to the filth' :searchme:
i thought tonight mark and karen did really well, i mean having to start again must of thrown them off a little but they were great.

JAN'S A DEAD RINGER FOR A LOSER
DEAD Ringers star Jan Ravens hit a dead-end last night when she was booted off the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
The 48-year-old impressionist was in tears as she turned to the judges and said: "I hope you're happy now." Jan thanked her partner Anton Du Beke, who she called "the dude". Cricketer Mark Ramprakash and partner Karen Hardy were forced to stop their sexy samba when they got tangled in their microphones - then went on to earn the evening's highest score.
MATT & JAMES' BALLROOM BUST-UP
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Matt Dawson and axed dancer James Jordan almost came to blows yesterday afternoon.
The bitter bust-up came after Matt criticised James's "bullying" of his ousted dance partner, Casualty actress Georgina Bouzova, on BBC2 spin-off show It Takes Two last week. The row contiued when Matt and James came face to face outside the Strictly Come Dancing studio yesterday.
An onlooker said: "It was a real clash of egos."

omg, when Mark and Karen got stuck together with the mic my heart was in my mouth! i was really worried they wouldn't have time to do it again coz the show's live! they definately had the best salsa though.was it just me or were a lot of the salsa songs a bit slow? none of the routines seemed energetic enough til Karen and Mark. although yeah, Lousia was treated a bit unfairly, i thought she was technically very good, and the routine was really hard but she still did it well!
and well done to Jan for pointing out that they all said she was better and it was her best so far and then just gave her the same points, that was pretty unfair! thought Brendan pushed it a bit this week, although he was right that all the judges do is witter on about him and dont talk about Claire. are they doing the American Smooth next week (can't believe Anton wont be there next week for that!)? coz it'll be good seeing Claire do some more ballroom.

Yeah bless Mark and Karen,it all went a bit wrong but i am glad they got a second chance.
Mark has just got it, hasnt he. I mean he even looks si fine in that salsa gear where Matt Dawson just looks like a pratt.
I think the judges are a bit to critical especially when it comes tyo minor things like hand shape. I mean its hard when you are a rugby player or a footballer or generally to do with sport as its a lot different to what they do as a professional.
Right here i go....
Can't believe Anton and Jan went. They were not the worst last night. And i think they deserve to be in it, Jan has come into this show, not knowing how to dance, and has learnt and improved. Emma Bunton for instance has come into this show, with dancing experience, so therefore they have an unfair advantage, and i think Jan and Anton should still be in the show, because of her improving, and plus it wans't the worst dance.
I think Claire and Brendan, should have gone. I knew they wouldn't, but i believe they should, i don't like Brendan, but this isn't really about the professionals, but i don't think that they are perticularly good, and they dance last night well i was bored. Claire has been trying you can tell, and she isn't bad, but i just don't think she is good either. They need to go next week.
Mark and Karen were amazing, he is totally a dark horse. Before the show started i didn't know he was, and it was tipped that Emma, Louisa and MAtt would be the favourites, but Mark is amazing. His and Karens routine was fab, well done on Karen for the chography. Shame about the microphone, but i am glad they didn't get marked down for it and were allowed to carry on.
Don't think that Carol Smilie is that good. Fair enough she has improved but i think she is still quite wooden. She really needs to let herself go, and just have fun!
Agree with what the judges said about Matt, he really needs to not care, and just go out and give it his all and have a good time. He is still a little wooden i think.
Ray and Camilla were amazing last night, best vienesse waltz i think. He is also a bit of a dark horse, although i think he is better suited to the ballroom dances.
Louisa and Vicent, don't think they were as bad as the judges made out, loved there dance. She is amazingly talented for such a young girl, and derserves to be there till the end!
Peter and Erin, love them. Peter is great for such a big guy, and there dance last night was great. He has really improved and i think he is only going to get better and better. Well done on Erin she has worked really hard on him, and so has he, he has given it his all!
Emma and Darren, yeh they are good. But i don't think she is as good as she was hyped up to be. She was tipped to be the favourite to win, but i don't think she should. The judges are right when they have said about her footwork, she needs to improve that. Although i think they work well together.
I think there is blantant favourism between the judges and certain contestants. Fair enough its there opinions but like last week, why did Craig say that Peter and Erin were good then give them a 2?! The Scores don't reflect what the judges say and i think they need to sort it out. Also Craig is like in love with Emma, she can't put a foot wrong (haha!) in his book, same with Mark and Arlene, although fair enough he is good, but really Arlene purrrlease  .
Really didn't think or want Anton and Jan to go last night :( Good on Jan though for having a go :p And when Craig said he thinks they should go and she questioned the scores, well good on her, its true why if she was better than last week did he give the same scores
Sorry about the essay

WEEPY Jan Ravens’ hubby squared up to Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood after she was booted off.
As the Beeb show clobbered ITV rival X Factor in the ratings again, it was revaled Jan had spent 15 minutes SOBBING after being voted bottom of the contestants.
And her husband Max Hole confronted Craig in the bar following Saturday’s live show and screamed: “Get away from my wife — keep away from my family!”
Craig revealed he was also pushed several times in a “physical attack”.
He said: “When Jan got booted out she took it really badly.
“I went up to say to Jan, ‘Commiserations, darling but you did a great job, doing it all for charity and stuff’, and suddenly she completely turned on me. She ran away, and the guy with her was totally just like pushing me, pushing me, pushing me. I mean a physical attack.
“I couldn’t believe it, I mean I was absolutely gobsmacked.”
Craig said he was surprised because he didn’t feel he had been nasty about her performance.
He said: “Jan never got a real lashing from my tongue. Okay, she wasn’t a brilliant dancer but she was doing it for charity. Still, she did deserve to be booted out.”
Dead Ringers’ funnywoman Jan was shown the door after she and partner Anton du Beke failed to impress with a Viennese waltz.
Craig said of her effort: “Your back steps are too high which made it look like a mule kicking.”
But he did admit it was her “personal best”.
Gutted Jan hit back saying on the show: “Why didn’t you give me any more points than last week then?”
He replied: “Because it wasn’t worth any more.”
Surprised ... Craig did not feel he had been nasty
Jan, 48, then pointed at her three sons in the audience and shouted at Craig: “I hope you’re happy now.”
She looked furious as Anton guided her back stage.
A show source said: “It was remarkable — she was absolutely distraught. She desperately wanted to win the competition and was inconsolable. We were shocked at how badly she took it all.
“Jan is a comedienne and a satirist so you would think she’d be able to see the funny side of all this. After all, it’s just a bit of fun. But on this occasion it was clear that she couldn’t.”
The Beeb team were celebrating after the programme — which pulled in NINE MILLION viewers to wallop rival X Factor for the second week in a row. The ITV singing competition trailed behind with 8.5million.

i can't believe someone at the BBC said that, how rude! Craig wittering on about being subjected to a 'physical attack' just makes himself look stupid, but that is part of the game, but for another BBC employee basically make fun of Jan like that is really nasty!
i think craig is taking mr nasty to far. Obviously youd be upset even if you were a comidienne. You still try your hardest and for someone to say thats not good enough is hard enough for any one to accept let alone when your on national television.

I thought emma was just amazing tonight, but i was dissapointed with Carol and i really like her and think she is good and everything but i agree which some points the judges made but i sooo hope she doesnt go but i dont think she will
Here i go again with my opinions ... :p
Emma was good, but i don't know it just didn't WOW me, if that makes sense.
Louisa and Vincent were good, although i agree with the judges he is making it really difficult and technical for her, and he seems to cram loads of steps into a routine.
How much better was Matt this week! Wow, amazing. Total transformation!! He and Lilia were great.
Don't think Ray and Camilla deserved to be near the bottom though i quite liked them.
Carol was okay, her hands were all over the place though, her feet weren't pointed, if she stays in she needs to improve. I#m not that keen on her though, to be honest.
Peter tonight, let me down, i know it wasn't his type of dance but he just seemed to walk around, kind of give up. Not impressed.
Brendan and Claire, okay i don't like them but they were good tonight, worked really hard this week you can tell.
And Mark and Karen, were good, not as good as last week mind.
Best tonight in my opinion was Matt and Lilia. Loved them!

Peter & Erin are still in the competition because they are bringing fun into SCD Its supposed to be for charity and a bit of fun and I agree tonight was not one of Peter's better dances but at least he gets out there and smiles and has fun even when that **** craig and that old slapper arlene are slagging them off you dont see them two running off to the toilet in tears like our little drama queens Lousia and Emma. The judges are so bias this year they couldn't get their noses any further up Lousia, Emma or Mark's ar$es if they tried. if any of these three danced in doc martins the judges would still give them 9 points
 Total fix, can't believe it, this is like the 3rd odd week claire and brendan have been in the bottom 2, and i can't believe they are still there, i know i said they worked hard, but only like this week, and i think Ray and Camilla were so much better, and you can tell the judges weren't happy about it either.
one thing i don't get is, when the judges like praise the dance 'It was amazing' and then give it a 6, or say that dance was rubbish and give it a 7 :searchme: Weird.
I cannot believe Ray and Camilla went!!!!
That is so wrong!!!
I really do not want Louisa or Emma to win - for me Emma keeps on about how bad she is and how shes never going to get it right etc, but it doesn't matter what she does or doesnt do - right or wrong, she always seems to get high scoring...
Louisa made a great effort tonight but I was personally bored by the dance.
Great improvement from Matt - enjoyed his dance and Claire and Brendans too.
I'd like to see Matt win in some ways, not through being a rugby fan, but through seeing the vast improvement in his dancing - hes gone from awful, to pretty darn good
one thing i don't get is, when the judges like praise the dance 'It was amazing' and then give it a 6, or say that dance was rubbish and give it a 7 :searchme: Weird. Agree Layne

And i know i have mentioned it before but how Emma cant put a foot work in Craigs book  It really annoys me - I've seen her slip a few times in the past dances and its never been brought up, yet like Andrew Cutler said, ok so their dance wasn't their best, but everything was mentioned that could have been and Matts argument with the stairs was mentioned too.
For me, the biggest improver should win, rather than the one who has been marked high throughout the series and has then got the judges sticking up for her too, making comments about Emma's past career etc.
Yeah I remember that - Craig said how excellent the dance was, mass improvement, no bad comments and then gave a 6 - very wrong and seemingly biased in places IMO. I can't remember who it was either lol

Anyway that aside i htought Peter was good tonight and i didnt think he deserved that much criticism. It will be tough to decide who is going to go. I really want Matt as that wont happen Claire as i dont really like her of Brendan.

I nearly had to pick up of the floor when when the judges gave Emma & Darren negative comments, but they still gave them good scores. Yet all four judges agreed that Peter and Erin where much better than they were last week but still Craig and Arlene gave them a 6. Emma & Darren should have got a 6 as well.

wow, i was really impressed by Lousia and Vincents tango tonight, i didn't think she could pull it off but it was really good. fabulous choice of song as well.
bottom two i think will be Peter and Claire (everyone will vote Mark out of the bottom two easy), and i think maybe Claire this week, i dunno, just because Peter will probably get the sympthay vote.

gosh that was exciting, wasn't it? i think it was time for Peter to go, as Craig said, can you see him, doing a rhumba or jive?! i think Claire is really improving so i'm glad she stayed, even though i thought she would have gone. but oooh my word, Emma isn't going to be happy!
Shame Peter had to go on his birthday.. I know it really was but to be honest he should of went last week.
Haven't managed to watch it all, so no essay for the moment.
But Matt and Lilia's was great. Well deserved 10 i think.
Shame Peter and Erin went, but i do feel it was time for them to go. Although Peter has improved majorly!

Glad Emma Bunton was in the bottom 2 - the judges think she and Darren walk on water, good to take them down a peg or two.
i really liked Peter but someone had to go. What a pity Matts improved you have got to hand it to him he is determined even if he is an arrogant . Im liking Matthew and Carol i think there really good.
Louisa Lyton is doing really well but i think the Judges are been a bit hard on her cause she is only 17 not a profesional Dancer

I am really starting to like Carol Smilie (she will prob go this week now I'm a fan) Matt Dawson does my head in, he is so cold and expressionless. Emma Bunton is another that gets on my nerves, "Oh I was in the Spice Girls, used to performing in front of 1,000's" - get over it dear. THen when Tess Daly spoke to MelC on Sat. night, she said "I have a good feeling about Emma tonight, she did really well", shows what she knows, bottom two best place for her.

i can;t believe louis walch has said that strictly come dancing only appeals to the old grannies. i am a 17 year old female and i absolutely LOVE the show. i am totally obsessed with it. i rush home from work on a saturday evening so i don't miss a single minute!
what a petty thing to say, just because the show is bringing in way more viewers than the x factor! stupid man!
i can;t believe louis walch has said that strictly come dancing only appeals to the old grannies. i am a 17 year old female and i absolutely LOVE the show. Really he said that, thats so not true Im 15 ands i Have watched every sereis of the show.
What a silly thing for him to say - its just going to say to some viewers of both that SCD is far more mature in its ratings "war" than X Factor.
I know I'm 30, but hey, that still don't make me an old granny that enjoys watching it.
I loved the group dnace tonight, Mianly cos i like seing them do lifts and stuff.

hooray for Carol getting her claim in that the judges prefer some dancers to other's. Arlene must have know it was directed at her as she tried to aplogise to Carol by saying that the judges don't have any favourites. Yeah right. I'ms urprised Matt got such a low score I think they should get extra for trying dances they're not comfortable with.
The competition is really hotting up. Loved Louisa's routine and Mark's Vienesse Waltz. Carol was right to say what she thought - it appears that there are clear favourites and the judges should remain impartial.
As for singing the praises of the dancing and then giving the people a score of 5 or something - whats that all about? If its good then 8+, if it is average the score should be 6 or 7 and if its not good then at least a 5 as all of them have tried to learn the dance and put the hours into rehersing the dances.

LOVED Lousia's Paso, it was blinding! so theatrical but also technical and very true to the dance.
is it just me who though Mark's Vienesse Waltz was really wooden? ok, i'm no judge and that is a technical and...well, boring...dance, but still.
hmmm...no idea for the bottom two this week!

I loved Mark's Walz, but Louisa was just the best of the bunch.
My bottom two should be Claire&Brendan and Carol&Matthew who are just dull. I think Claire should go, she's gone far enough, actually too far

I don't think Claire and Brendan were that surprised that they had gone tonight. So glad Matt got through two dances next week it will be difficult
ooh, so claire and Brendan went. Im not surprised though, he was getting more and more arrogant each week.
I think the right couple went this week, but Clare was certainly a fun character so she will be missed from that point, but it is about dancing, so now the remaining people can dance away to their hearts content.
I like Matt, think he has done so well, now he is comfortable with dancing.

hehe, how good was Mark and Karen's Samba, i was smiling all the way through it! Karen is SO GOOD at the Samba, i don't think i've seen her do one before.
and i think they were a bit harsh on Matt's Rumba, i thought it was really intense. and they normally complain that no-one has the right relationship and mood etc.
so who do we think's going tonight? my prediction for the bottom 2 would be matt and carol. since mark will be voted out of the bottom 2 by viewers.

02-12-2006, 23:59
If Emma makes it to the final then its a total fix as she has been in the bottom two twice now and none of the others have been so they deserve it more. Emma and Lousia for the bottom two next week PLEASE
It didn't surprise me that Carol went last night, though I did think Matt might have. I loved his rumba though.
This whole points thing is annoying me though - how can those judges say how wonderfully fantastic and brilliant a dance is and then give them a 7?! I'm sorry, but if something is that good, surely they should be marking it higher??
Then on the other hand, when saying one of the other (more popular with the judges) couples were being told theirs wasn't as good as they have seen them perform, they still mark it with an 8 !! And I personally didn't think that Emma and Darren deserved those 10's although I do hate them, think everything is fixed for them to win! And then when Darren and was it Len or Arlene (or maybe even Craig) mentioned Emmas "injury" - is it me or did anyone else think it was for the sympathy vote too??
ok so i was wrong about the bottom two, and i'm sad to see Carol go since it was her best week yet BUT....ha ha! no one likes you Emma! awww But I feel sorry for her, i mean she really good marks and then ends up in the bottom 2.
awww But I feel sorry for her, i mean she really good marks and then ends up in the bottom 2. But...personally....I find that no matter what she does, she still gets high marks....
She wasn't carrying herself right and she gets a 9, her feet weren't right, and she still gets a 9......
No matter what anyone thinks, in the judges eyes, she'll never get a mark lower than an 8...or at least thats the way it seems to me
But when i watch her I still think she is really good and you have to think about steps she does and how she performs them, her feet might not be slightly right but something is still there.
True, but......when Louisa doesn't hold herself properly, she gets marked down....when Matt doesn't hold himself properly (and I personally think its harder for the male celebs than the women) he gets marked down, Carol got slated last night for her jaw sticking out!...Emma getting marked down is giving her an 8 instead of a 9..
All of the judges said about how fantastic Mark and Karens Samba was, yet they only scored 9's yet Emma and Darren scored 10's for a dance that was described as great - this is what I do not understand
i agree with you jojo. there's no consistency with the judges.

Totally agree, the judges really annoy me. And then they say best dance of the whole series ever and they give them a 7, i mean come on
Carol i think has done well but it was her time to go. Not sure who i want to win i keep changing my mind.
Matt has improved loads. And plus i really like him and Lilia together.
Mark is amazing, and him and Karen really light up the floor.
Louisa is so talented for such a young girl, she always gets difficult dances (technique & move wise) And does really well.
And then Emma, i think she is good and all, but i don't know if i want her to win :searchme:

Matt has improved so much, for a stiff highly embarrassed rugby player (a bit like Martin Offiah was) he has come on leaps and bounds, and I for one would like to see him in the final.
Mark and Karen - their chemistry on the dancefloor is totally amazing!! Mark can half dance, and hes overcome shyness to get where he is - their Samba was brilliant!
Emma and Darren - they just don't light up the dance floor to me - they are great dancers, don't get me wrong, but... I don't know - they just don't excite me and as soon as they start dancing, I want to make a cuppa and get ready for the next couple.
Louisa is doing great considering the moves and steps that she is being taught. Hats off to her.

Yes excatly. On the same wave length here me and you!
And i agree about Emma and Darren, its like there was so much hype about her, and to be honest, she hasn't lived up to it. She is good, don't get me wrong, just not as good as i thought/heard she was going to be.
And also they never seem to enjoy it as much as say Mark and Karen, their faces light up and they both really enjoy it you can tell, with Emma and Darren it seems more about doing it correctly then having fun.

We are aren't we :D
Emma is a great dancer - thats for sure, but maybe all the hype and media pressure has paved way for everyone expecting so much more from her...as much as I like Darren too, I just find them, I dunno, irritating really. They seem to be concentrating so hard on the winning and getting everything perfect and scoring that 10 with the judges, that they forget to enjoy themselves and the dances.
Mark and Karen send goosebumps up my arms every time they dance, and that to me, is a winning combination.
I really like Emma and Darren and they do light up the floor for me. They are definetly my faveourites and they hope they win (but I doubt they will).
I think Louisa is really good aswell but I slightly prefer to watch Emma and Darren
I think Matt's ballroom is amazing and his Latin has improved aswell.
Mark really annoys me. Don't get me wrong though, I think he is REALLY good at parts of it but I don't think his heart is quite in it. I was also put off him when they did the rhumba as he didn't seem to have the right attitude

Really thought Mark would go tonight, so disappointed that Louisa went out.
Bless her and Vincent - glad they are going to keep dancing though. I must admit I shed a tear as I wanted the two girls to remain in it as they have given their heart and soul over to dancing. I always believed in the honesty of the program and the votes ( from the public), but now I'm beginning to have serious doubts after Louisa's exit.
In the beginning the jury was all praise for her, especially Bruno, giving 10s but then, the atmosphere changed, and it became Emma Emma Emma even more.
This series is a fix, and Emma bought her tittle.
You'll see, next week they're going to start picking on Mark because he's the biggest contender for the tittle. And he should win now poor Louisa was unfairly kicked out.

Emma should be VOTED off next week, but I am willing to bet her and Matt will be on the bottom of the list and she will come thru,, again I am agreeing with the girls, Emma BOUGHT her votes..:ninja:
The votes are being RIGGED no doubt.. I do not believe that many people are out there voting for Emma !!!!!
They seemed very close tonight - it wouldn't surprise me if they were together, just the way they were interacting etc during their last dance.
They have seemed pretty close all the way through, at one point she did say he was like her big brother. But last night they seemed REALLY close! :hmm: Going on holiday. the continuing lessons :hmm: I think there is something going on there

Completely agree Mark and Karen should win, but after last night ill be shocked if anyone other than emma wins.
If Emma wins this there will be uproar. You can see how things have changed over the past few weeks - the judges were on about how brilliant Mark was, his hips, his movement etc, and now suddenly, because it looks like he could take the title, they are down on him like a tonne of bricks - Matt I think the judges don't believe that he can win it anyway, so are still saying about how hes improved the most, but work can still be done, but all you ever hear is about how brilliant blooming Emma is - I find her boring, I get disinterested in her dances, its nothing to do with her herself, I just don't like her dances one iota. She can't possibly be in the bottom 2 the number of times she has, and then still go on and win it.
My hubby and I both said, Louisa should have been through last night, and when Tess said to Louisa's gran, how will she feel when she leaves tonight, I thought it plainly obvious what was going to happen, especially when she danced so much better than Emma did in the dance off.
Fixed and totally unfair!!

Fixed!!!
Louisa should of gone through not Emma. I really wanted louisa to win. I liked the way Craig said that its a dance competion not a popularity contest. Louisa has danced better than Emma for the whole competion - She was robbed!
I think Louisa should of gone through, for me she has been far more consistant than Emma. Louisa is so young and talented and she has put everything into this, she deserved to go through and to possibly even win it.
Reading what the rest of you have put, i am thinking yes Fix. No being rude or anything but what is this big deal with Emma Bunton, yes okay she used to be part of one of the most famous girls bands ever, big deal get over it. This com[petition is meant to be a popularity competition, or who is the most famous or has the most money or who will pull in more viewers, it is meant to a dance competition, who is the better dancer. And for me that was Louisa.
i personally dont like Lousia so im not to bothered would love Mark and Emma in the Final. Matt should have gone weeks ago. Who is voting for him for so long. I cant believe its the semis next week.
Loads of people keep saying they don't like Matt, and they don't think he should be in the semi's, but i do. I think Matt has improved majorly, and he is good and he gives it his all. I do think he has earnt his place in those Semi Finals and good on him!

God this show suddenly screams FIX!!
Tess mentions the highest was probably around 34 for the Rumba and hey look.. Emma's got 34
I watched the repeat on BBC2.. they edited some bits out to make it shorter and stuff and when everyone has their comments on their dance they got about 2-3 judges per dance but then I noticed Emma got all 4 judges say?! What's up with that?!
I really didn't want Matt to come this far but I have to say.. his dances he dances yesterday was really good!! I enjoyed watching it!!
Oh god.. how could not one of the judges not like Louisa's dance?! I was just thinking WTF?!.. Omg.. I just can't believe it tbh.. How sweet was Vincent carrying Louisa when her dress got stuck :D
As soon as Louisa put her dress over her eyes my eyes filled up with tears just ready to burst!! She genuinly put her heart into this whole competition.. she was really trying to hold her tears back :( She made me cry.. such talent :( In my earlier post which I made this morning I asked if she cried.. I only asked this as I really thought she would cry and she nearly did.. You just know she would cry because she really put her heart into this show as I said earlier :( Their last dance has real chemisty.. so sweet..

Emma actually really gets on my nerves, Was watching It Takes Two this evening and i don't know why but i really don't like her  And argh this is so annoying because it is a Fix and the Judges do have favourites and that favourite is mainly emma, what just because she used to be in a girl band

Matt's Argentina Tango was lifeless.. I was waiting in antisipation for Matt to do a series of kicks as there was nothing throughout the whole routine.. He just let Lilia do all the fancy stuff as usual.. rubbish!!

I am delighted that Emma went this week. :cheer: I do agree that Mark and Karen's Tango was faultless but i still want Matt and Lila to win. I can't switch my illegance now, I've supported Matt and Peter all the way through and I think that Matt development has been phenomal so he is getting my vote next week.

OK GANG....THIS IS JUST FOR FUN...WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ON STRICTLY COME DANCING NEXT SERIES ??
Mark and Matt in the final :cheer:
Mark and Karens Argentine Tango sent goosebumps up my arms and shivers down my spine!! My god what a performance. Totally brilliant!
I'm glad its the both of them in the final - Matt has improved so much over the series and Mark has been great throughout, taking so much stick from the judges these past couple of weeks.
I don't mind which of them win, athough in a sense I'd like Karen and Mark to as Lillia won last year with Darren.

I am confused they say that emmas samba was nt that good because they did nt have enough dancing togetther but then she gets 9 s now if that was matt and lillia they would of been given 6 7

Agree once again. I am so gald both mark and matt are in the final they both deserve it, Emma only got this far because the judges kissed her bum  Last night was so annoying, they all say that Matt was bad etc and give him i think a 7 was the lowest and then Emma comes out, they say it was okay not brilliant and yet she still gets 9s
And Craig when Matt came on just said 'no it was rubbish' but yet to Emma he tells her how much she has improved and gives her tips etc. The Judges are so annoying and biased. Len isn't, although he can be quite harsh at times he is the only decent one. Arlene annoys the pants off me.
I don't mind who wins, as for me Matt has improved loads and deserves to be there and Mark has loads of dancing talent and deserves to be there too.
I have a funny feeling MAtt Dawson will win. He has had the votes so far and everyone seems to be a fan of his. I dont know why though. He does my head. Realistically Mark deserves the trophy next week and Emma did deserve to go out, but this is SCD and anything will happen.
