Strictly Come Dancing star Matt Dawson is losing so much weight on the hit BBC1 show that a new costume is being made for him every week.

The former rugby international battles it out with ex-England cricketer Mark Ramprakash in the grand final on Saturday night.

Dawson, 34, revealed that he had already lost a stone thanks to the highly-energetic routines practised with his dance partner Lilia Kopylova.

He admitted: "My trousers are too big and my blazers are too big.

Kopylova said: "His trousers have been falling down. The costumes have had to be changed every week because as the competition goes on, the clothes seem to be bigger and bigger and bigger."

She added: "Matt even said last week 'these can't be my trousers'."

The pair will be hoping that a handful of beans get them through the glitzy final, which could be watched by over ten million viewers.

Kopylova was given the beans by a Mexican man weeks before she and her Strictly Come Dancing star husband, Darren Bennett, got to the final of the World Masters - and she has carried them with her ever since.

Ramprakash, 37, also revealed that the weight had dropped off, admitting: "I'm shattered, very tired. My feet hurt every morning. I've lost a quarter of a stone."

------------------------------------------------

So there you go folks - anyone wanting to lose weight, start dancing for 10 hours per day :D

Where have ya both been!! :rotfl: Thats why I'm so surprised at the apparent closeness between Emma and Darren and why it didn't surprise me one bit, when Lilia immediately made a beeline for him as soon as they could, to reclaim her territory! I know Emmas engaged etc too, but my hubby also remarked on how close they appeared to be...

you can't really blame Lila. Remeber when Brendan and Natasha won the first SCD, Brendan was dating Camilla at the time and they spilt up because Camilla was convinced Brendan and Natasha were having an affair

You can find out an awful lot of stuff about each professional on the net,, even some of the dresses the girls wear are up for sale too ( maybe I should buy a few to dress up my big toes LOL ):rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't wait for the Final tonight, Louisa and Vincent were my faves but since they,ve gone Matt and Lillia to win.

Did Matt say he put a £1000 on himself?!:searchme: :hmm:

Yes Matt has put a bet on himself, as he said he wanted to giveput something back to thank eveyone that had voted for him so if he wins he will donate the money straight to Children in Need - nice gesture I thought.

I really dont know who will win, I will make a judgement when I watch them tonight, as my favourite isn't in the final - ie Louisa and Vincent.

Good luck to everyone.

My vote when for Matt and Lila. But credit where its due Mark and Karen were the better dancers tonight. Well done to them both, now we have to wait another 9 months before it comes back on again :( PANTS

yey, what a fabulous ending! i screamed like 3 times during Mark and karen's showdance! and seeing all the dancers again helped me remember what a fabulous year its been. can't wait for the christmas show now,s hould be great fun!

Well done to Karen and Mark, specially Karen as i think she deserved it, and yeh of course Mark did too, I know i have said before i don't know who my vote goes towards, but i did want Matt And Lilia to win, they were amazing tonight, and good on Matt for appaulding Mark and Karen that was sweet.

Right now this is what is annoying -
I tired on numerous occasions to vote for Matt and Lilia, but the phoneline was permanatly busy, its wasn't just once i tried to ring i tried to ring about 20 odd times. Surely i should of got through ?!

And i was thinking whilst waiting for the winner to be annouced. The Christmas special is on monday, its a champion of Champion show, where the champion from this series goes against the champion from last series (well that is what they did last time) Anyway if Matt and Lilia had won, then the champion thing couldn't have gone ahead, as Lilia won last year with Darren, so what would she do go against herself?! So that to me is Screaming Fix at Mark and Karen - sorry to be all mean about it but that is what i think, and to be honest i am starting to think alot of things that happened were fixes.

Although i say this, Well done to Mark and Karen, but also Matt and Lilia - True winners in my book.

they both did really well, but i think Mark really deserved it for consistancy.

i think in a way they both deserved it mark for being so consistence and matt for going on a journey and discovering he can dance and enjoying it

Jojo

I think they both performed amazingly! Even the judges couldn't really split them this time. Matt had the most improvement, Mark was consistent throughout. I personally, far more enjoyed Matt and Lillia's showdance than Mark and Karens. I think it was nice that they won, and they deserved it after everything, that to me, was released in time to possibly scupper their chances, when Emma was still in the running for the title (btw her comment about of course she would have been ableto have learnt 5 new dances etc, whether tongue in cheek or not, really bugged me!)

Either contestant deserved to win, though like you said Layne, if its Champion of Champions, Lilia and Darren would no way have been able to have danced off against Lilia and Matt if they had won. But I'm glad that they were both in the final - I think they both deserved it.

So it wasn't excatly Champion of Champions the other night but iu am soo glad Colin and Erin won, they were amazing and deserved it, was a bit annoyed Matt And Lilia got knocked out first i really liked them. So glad Mark and KAren didn't win again, i really don't like MArk now, i don't know why i have just gone fof him and he seems to me like he knows he is good and he is smug, but that probably is just me.
Anyway :( Strictly is all goned now, but i can't wait to see it back again next year!

I agree with you Layne, though on SCD, I think we always do :rotfl:

I'm glad Colin and Erin won too and it was nice that Zoe and Ian were second too. I didn't enjoy Mark and Karens dance this time, but maybe it was because I had seen it so many times over the past few weeks that it had kind of lost its sparkle with me :searchme: I'm still glad that Emma and Darren didn't win aswell though! :rotfl: :D

I wonder who will be in SCD5! The amount of money raised for Children in Need through this is fantastic, though I wonder if they need to re-evaluate the judges and how they score the dances for next time .. :hmm:

I read on the skyshowbiz webpage that Emma Bunton is disapointed as her album has bommed in sales. She is blaming the lack of sales on everyone releasing albums at this time of year. Nothing to do with the fact that her singing is mince :rotfl:

Tell you one thing......I wouldn't be giving out the 9's and 10's so easily and would definitely be more consistent - a totally impartial judge me and if I kept saying it should be done in a certain way - I'd get up and dance with them and show them myself :D !
