Loved The McDonalds brothers last night! So glad there still in.

And i know she cant exactly help it, or do it any other way, but i hate Kerrys one arm dancing thing!

I know what you mean! And that annoying smirk also irritates me! So glad she's gone, I still don't think she would've got in if she wasn't disabled, she's nothing more than average.

She can walk on crutches so I don't know why she has to use the wheelchair every week. She KEEPS going on about her accident, and a couple of weeks ago there was an article about her in a magazine - she kept saying how she was never gonna win. I reckon she just wants the sympathy vote.

Hooray for the double eviction, otherwise she'd still be there. I liked Dionne, though. :(
I didn't in the auditions, or the bootcamp, but I warmed to her throughout the Live Stages.

I don't like Ashley, he seems too cocky and arrogant for my liking, his voice annoys me, and his hair makes him look like Sideshow Bob (from The Simpsons). :thumbsdow

I quite like Ray, but I wish he'd do something about his hair! This is the 21st Century, not the 1940's!

Leona has a really good voice, but she doesn't seem to have much of a personality, and she cries way too much!

I love Eton Rd, they are good entertainers and quite different to the other groups. Anthony's so cute, he's like a little old woman!

I do not like Ben at all, I'm not into that rock image. He's not exactly that great a singer.

I used to quite like Robert, but his jumping-about-thing has put me off. I agree with Simon, it IS verging on the desperate.

The MacDonald Brothers are a bit plain and boring, there's nothing that appealing about them.

There's something I don't like about Nikita, her voice is a bit squeaky when she sings, and she keeps going on about her mum. Don't get me wrong, it's really sad, but there's a time and a place.

:hmm: I think that's everyone..

You Go Girl ! You are totally right, I cant argue with a single statement you made!

Apart from I hate Ashley even more than you do

Abba week next week! I rather like the Abba songs, annoyingly catchy.

Why were some of the acts allowed to wear jeans last night? That really annoyed me, it should have been suits and evening dresses.

My mum has a theory on why Anthony from Eton Road looks "wierd" as Simon puts it. She recons his has aisian in him. If you look at his eyes close up they look like chinese, japanese etc.. and his face is rather flat like asian people's are. Apparantly you only get that sort of look in men through the mother.

I had a thought, if two acts were evicted last night will that make the series a week shorter as usually only one act is evicted each week? Or will there just be one less person in the final?

aww laura how can you not like kerry i am so upset that she has gone she was my favourite and i wanted her to win as she was a lot better than quite a few of the singers on there including ashley and he stayed!

and on saturday night us and stacey was saying that ashley looked like sideshow bob

Kerry was never going to win. In my opinion she looked like a really bitchy person!

Soooo glad Ashley stayed.

LOL! :rotfl:

Why, thank you. :D
Well, every week I hate him more and more, so just give it time.. :p

Sam, maybe she was a lot better than some of the other singers (although still average I think..), but there are better singers than her too. Leona for one. And Leona's also fresher, prettier and nowhere near as irritating.

Nah, I'm never gonna be persuaded, I just didn't find her very likable at all. AND, she had the most annoying face..

Rant over.. :o

One thing is for sure, that Abba week is going to catch an awful lot of people out because there songs are so hard to copy thats why its not done. Ray will never cope, neither will Ashley, or Ben to be honest

Katy
30-10-2006, 15:12
after last show Im amazed with Ray. he was so good, not only the singing but the performance on the whole was all good.

I really dont know who will win as like has been said before no one stands out like last year.

I can see Ashley going this week. he seems to have a problem singing songs he doesn't like.. I notice that in the auditions (boot camp when Simon gave him the George Micheal song) and again this week with the swing song

Ben was fantastic this week and I was very surprised with the MacDonald bros... Sharon must be gutted she has 2 gone in the one week

Katy
30-10-2006, 15:45
i know poor sharon, i didnt actually think Dionne was that bad, obviously she wasnt a publc favourite with bing in the bottom two alot.

Dionne is a good singer but like you said, she is not the publics favourite.. McD bros are not the greatest and they make it every week

Katy

they suprised me on saturday actually. I think they could stay in a long time, abit like the conway sisters last year.

For next week ABBA set, if I was to pick songs for people I would get
Eton Road to do Fernando
MacD bros - Take a chance on me
Leona - Dancing queen
Ben - a rock version of Waterloo

now that would be fun

Jessie Wallace

Dionne had the best voice of all the contestants can't believe she went but she wasn't liked by the public since she was in the bottom every week. I really hope they get some young current performers helping the contestants soon. Ashley needs to go he is too arrogant. I'm glad Kerry went she didn't have a great voice and mentioned her disabilty too often. I hope Nikita or Eton Road wins.

From The Sun - By ALISON MALONEY - November 04, 2006

ANDY ABRAHAM has slammed the X Factor judges for letting their acts down.

The former finalist believes that Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne choose the wrong song for the contestants.

"I think some of the elements of the 'X Factor' this year are not as good as last year,” said the ex binman.

"Being a themed series may not work so well and some of the songs are not working. The acts that have made it on must have good voices, but I don't think this is necessarily coming across on the show this year."

Andy, who has just released his second album Soul Man, also said the contestants were dull.

"We had so many personalities last year like Chico and Brenda. Shayne was the teen idol, and I was the soul man. There are just not as many personalities this year."

THE X FACTOR singer Ben Mills fears that singing Abba in tomorrow’s show could be the end of his talent show dream.

Ben, 26, who will tackle SOS, said: “When I heard it was Abba week, I thought my time was up. I’m quite versatile but I was worried that Abba could be a challenge too far. My body just seems to be rejecting Abba.”

However, Abba’s Bjorn Ulvaeus has been very impressed by the raspy singing of the Joe Cocker soundalike.

Bjorn, who has been hosting a workshop for the wannabes, said: “They were all good singers, but if I had to pick someone from today, it would be Ben actually

THE X FACTOR’s Eton Road and The MacDonald Brothers have been at war over Abba song Fernando.

Louis Walsh decided that the MacDonalds should sing the hit in Saturday’s show, which has made Eton Road’s Anthony Hannah very angry.

An X Factor spokeswoman said: “Anthony has been singing Fernando for years and he was devastated that Louis chose that song for the MacDonalds

“Despite Anthony’s pleas, Louis wouldn’t change his mind, leaving it to the vocal coaches to calm Anthony down and get him to learn to love his song.

"Craig and Brian MacDonald are nervous as Louis has warned them that, should they fall into the bottom two, there will be no safety net for them.

"They and Louis know that until they win round Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne the sing-off will not help them."

Eton Road will now perform Does Your Mother Know. Ben Miller will sing SOS; Robert Allen, Take A Chance On Me; Ashley McKenzie, The Winner Takes It All; Nikittta Angus, Dancing Queen; Leona Lewis, Chiquitita; and Raymond Quinn, Waterloo.

This is going to be the best week, Leona has a great song althout I would have would have thought that Dancing Queen would be better for her, as do the MacDoanalds and Eton Road, but the rest are going to come so unstuck, and Ashley won't remember his words and will never hit the high notes.

Especially since he is so hyper.

I hope this week does mean the end of Ben's musical dream, or whatever, though. Ashley can go another week. I want Ben to go now, because there might not be another week where he can't handle the theme, and people seem to like him, for some reason. :searchme:

Why would he have put him through last week if that was the case. He just likes Robert more, which is totally understandable, coz Ashleys best moment in the whole show was his first audition, he's got worse and worse ever since.
Simon's just shown what he is really like by spitting his dumming out and storming off the show, just coz he didn't get his own way.

Well the X-Factor (or should it be known as Fix-Factor) has dropped to an all time low.

Louis voted ash out simply because it was simons act, no ifs or buts.

Its the same old same old, and i wonder what the final week will be, hmmmmm let me think.......one of each judges acts left.......yawn!

How can louis sit there, say all that great stuff about ash, how is a natural star, has that something special, then say robert is...ummm....passionate.....and then vote ash off.

I have said since it started its all a fix, always has been, always will be.

Maybe everyone should stop voting all together, not that it would make a difference.

Nobody knows the figures for voting, so they can easily be fiddled.

This show is poor, fake, and so fabricated.

It should be pulled off our screens once and for all.

ITS THE MACDONALD BROTHERS NOT THE MACDOUGAL BROTHERS.Your as bad as Simon.I think its very disrespectable to deliberetly say their name wrong. It is disrespectable for them, for their family, for anyone with MacDonald as a 2nd name and to the scottish people.

When i hear the name MacDonald i automatically assume their scottish because its a scottish sounding name.I'm scottish and i would love to have a scottish sounding name like that and it upsets me wen simon deliberetly says their name wrong. And i hope im not the only one who thinks that.

I know im rambling on but it really annoys me.I also think they are doing brilliantly. They are getting better each week because thats what the competition is about.I thought the guitar was perfect. If it was complicted then it would make the abba song sound wrong. So i think simon is wrong.

I also dont take his comments about him seriously and i dont think many other people do.He says the same thing every week he's like a doll with a string on the back.

Im soz my comment is soooooo long its just i feel that they should be given a chance. And i will continue voting for them and im sure scotland and the rest of the uk will too. x x x

P.S. Louis didnt get rid of Ash because he has 4 acts left.Your the one whos petty. He voted him off because Rob is better.I hated ashleys voice it was flat sounding.Rob gives energy to his songs and can sing a wider range.Your a diva like simon.at least 3 of his acts will go eventually so get over it!!!!!!!

Its the first Sat Ive actually been in to watch the full show since the auditions, and I have to say the overall quality of the acts isnt brilliant - why are those scottish bros there for a start?! However I thought Robert was better than Ashley, and can see where Louis was coming from when he put Robert through.

Ashley Deserved to go talent or no talent you can get to big for your boots and he did, he was out of order with his remarks too. He is talented but he is not X-FACTOR !!!

Kate did not look happy tonight and there was so much tension and I have to say it was down to Simon

Simon I respect so much but tonight he acted like a Kid and was vile !

I personally love The MacDonald Brothers ! The worse thing you can do is hate an act because they will just end up staying longer !

Sherbs
04-11-2006, 21:44
Personally, i think there are 2 acts worse than Ash & Robert who stayed.

Ray is nothing more than a Stage Musical singer, not pop star material in any way.

Good voice none the less, but simply not a pop star.

The McDonald brothers are absolute rubbish, they really are, not great singers, not performers, and in all honesty, i too can not quite see how they got this far.

Sherbs
04-11-2006, 21:52
If there is to be a next series, i think they should change the judges.

Sharon has no right to be there what so ever.

What has she ever done in the music industry, apart from marry ozzy!
She is simply there to cause the arguments with Simon & Louis.

Louis should also go if he can not vote simply on someones talent, rather than to wind up his opposing number.

I don't favour Simon over the others, but he simply tells it like it is, he tells the truth.
He doesn't get peoples hopes up like the other 2 do.

Meh poor Ashley :( I'm sorry but, even though I liked him, I admit he wasn't that great today, but to be honest, The Mcdonalds were totally worse, and I feel they should have gone, or at least been in the bottom 2. Rob deffo shouldn't have. But out of Rob and Ash, the right decision was made.

Sooo please he has gone ! The Right One Last Night.

Biggest disappointment of the Night was Simon refusing to go on the Xtra-Factor after The Result. I really really respected Simon, but I he lost that last night, why the man just can't admit that he back to wrong person! Best bit is that Next Week Ray will go !

ASH AXED BY LOUIS
SIMON Cowell branded Louis Walsh "spiteful" for booting Ashley McKenzie off the X Factor last night in revenge for losing two of his own three acts.

Last week Louis saved Ashley, telling viewers he had huge star potential.

But last night he used his deciding vote to axe the singer ahead of hospital clerk Robert Allen. Simon said: "Louis has been very spiteful."

Ashley, 20, nephew of boxing champions Duke and Winston McKenzie, told Louis: "You've kicked out the best singer for your own advantage."

This is why Ashley deserved to go because he thought he was the Dog's Bits and he simply wasn't! How can he say he is the Best Singer?

Im glad the deluded sod went last night........what an arrogant comment to make - claiming to be the best singer!!!! I mean if he had got his head out of this **** last week, and learned his lines properly and not got soooo cocky (thinking he was safe) then he might still be there. I think his attitude let him down. Poor Louis, is being used as the fall guy. He was right to kick him out of the show and Simon needs to get a grip on reality too!!!

Ashley deserved to go. I personally don't like him, he is too cocky and full of himself. And i didn't really like his voice, although i'll admit he was good, I love Robert though, i think he is a more round performer that ashley is. I would of done the same as louis in his position.
Eton Rd and Ray i think were amazing last night, both gave great performances.
Don't like The Mcdonald brothers, but obviously someone does as they keep getting in ecah week

Simon was so smug, petty and rude last night. He is just being a sore loser.
It does annoy me how the judges say things just to spite each other, Its meant to be about the contestants, Louis was right last night when he said to Simon it wasn't all about him.
And i don't know if Louis did vote Ashley off last night just out of spite, fair enough he kept him in last week but that was out of Ashleh and Kerry, Karry and Robert are completly different. I think that rtobert's performance last night was really good and better than Ashleys.
It wouldn't suprise me though if we get a single out of Ashley within a year

Ashley wasnt star material, not many of them, are actually this year. Last year there were so many big personalitys and even the year before which had that young girl in it was it cassie and Tabby. They could sing and perform. I dont know what it is about this year but its just not apealed to me. Bring back Pop Idol and ant and dec. OK, everyone has made so many comments that I wanna reply to, so I'm not even gonna bother quoting.

1) To all those people who said that Louis voted out Ashley only for his own advantage, you really need to get a grip. Just because YOU think he was better doesn't mean he IS better, or that Louis should have kept him in, or that Louis deliberately kicked him out to get one over on Simon. A lot of people preferred Robert, he was better tonight, and he seemed to want it a lot more.

2) If he's as good as you seem to think, why has he been in the bottom two.. :hmm: 3 weeks running? I can't remember if that's right, I have a bad memory, but he has been in the bottom two lots of times! I was in a room full of people last night, watching the results, they all said they wanted Ash to go, and you should have heard the cheers when he did! I personally think he was pretty, well, crap.. Also, such an arrogant little *beep*! I thought he was in the first place (I said in my posts), but his comments last night just confirmed it. Who the hell does he think he is, saying he only went because Louis wanted to win?!

3) Just because you don't get your own way, doesn't mean you need to spit your dummies out, and accuse it of being fixed. :nono:

:hmm: I feel like there's something else I wanted to say..

But anyways, I used to respect Simon, he usually tells people if they're rubbish, unlike the other two, but he is really starting to get on my nerves. Like last night, when he said Ashley was 'fantastic'. To me, that just seemed so obvious that he was just saying it because Ashley was his act. And the way he says things really annoys me, too, like his opinion is the only one that matters, and after that everyone's opinions are pointless.

And I also used to think Sharon was a waste of space, but she hasn't annoyed me as much this year. I think if anyone needs to go it's Simon, he's great in the auditions, like I said, he's the most honest judge, but when it comes to the live stages he gets too big for his boots, and disregards everyone else and their opinions, especially Louis. But we all know that's never gonna happen..

Sorry for the rant.. :D

I do like Sharon, and I think some on the comments she makes (especially in the auditions) are hilarious, I just find it annoying when she puts old women who can't sing a note through, and people like that. And also the fact that she seems unable to give any criticism or negative comments.

LOUIS WALSH NEEDS SHOOTING!!

he does not, the best decision by a country mile, not only was he right to ditch the out of tune and bland Ashley but it made great television and was absolutely hilarious, well done Louis I say. Him and Simon arguing all night was the better then the acts singing Louis 'I won the show last year' speech was genius. I do love Simon but he was a bad loser and must be tone death if he thought Ashley was great, the guy dances like a puppet, has nothing special about him and isnt a great performer at all.

Eton Road were excellent last night, I liked Ben's performance too. I even liked the McDonald brother (MCdoodle, :rotfl: ). We might as well cut to the final 3 though we all know its going to be Eton Road, Ben and Leonna.

05-11-2006, 15:41
LOL.. I love Eton Rd too. I thought it was cute the way they all had a subtle bit of red in their outfits (except the blond one who had bright red trousers..). Anthony's so adorable! When all of the others are dancing he's just standing their doing the wrong thing, looking way out of his depth! He's so sweet, and at least he's not as horrible to look at now he's put a bit of weight on (he looks like he has, anyway).

But I think it would've been a bit unfair if Nikitta was in the bottom two just for one nights bad performance, when other acts have been bad consistently (like I think Ashley's been bad for most of the weeks).
The MacDonald Bros.. well, I don't really have an opinion of them 'cause I don't think they've been off-key or anything like that, just plain and boring, but they seem like such nice guys that I can't bring myself to insult 'em! :D
I HATE Ben so much! Him to go next week! I doubt he will, though.. :(

Cowell fury over camp jibe

SIMON Cowell has hit back at rival X Factor judge Louis Walsh after the pair traded “gay” taunts.

Simon, 47, sparked the row after telling Louis he had a “massive unfair advantage” during the camp ABBA-themed night on Saturday.

Louis then dedicated Eton Road’s performance of ABBA hit Does Your Mother Know to Simon, joking: “Simon, does your mother know . . . you’re out?”

The spat worsened when Louis gave Simon’s act Ashley McKenzie the boot. Simon refused to go on ITV2’s The Xtra Factor, locking himself in his dressing room.

Last night he said: “I called him spiteful because he used something personal against me to affect someone’s career and I don’t think that’s acceptable.

“Louis’ behaviour was a joke. His decision was purely spiteful and tactical. Now the viewers won’t get to see Ashley at his best — because Louis felt like being spiteful.”

Louis, 54, called Simon’s non-appearance on The Xtra Factor “unprofessional and childish”.

Yesterday he refused to be drawn into whether he had questioned Simon’s sexuality.

He said: “My retort to him was Does Your Mother Know? I’m just leaving that open. I’m not going anywhere with that one. That’s all I’m saying.”

FLAMING BRILLIANT, THIS IS WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THE X-FACTOR, AND YOU HAVE TO SAY THERE IS NO SMOKING WITHOUT FIRE, AND SIMON WOULD NOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT ASHLEY :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: MAYBE MR COOL LIKES A BIT OF YOU KNOW ! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

X FACTOR favourite Anthony Hannah was left speechless after Cherie Blair told him off in public.

The PM’s wife met the Eton Road singer at a glitzy awards bash last week and mocked his spiky hairdo.

Cherie shocked onlookers by telling embarrassed Anthony, 17: “If you were my son you wouldn’t be allowed to leave the house looking like that.”

One onlooker said: “It was a pretty rich thing to say, given how Cherie is hardly known for her fashion sense.

“She’s often pictured looking dreadful. And as for the comment about her son, well you only need to look at some of the pictures of Euan Blair to know that’s blatantly not true.

“That goatee he often has is far more ridiculous than Anthony’s hair.”

Anthony, who performed in stunning red shoes on Saturday, told ITV2 show The Xtra Factor: “She made me feel so small. If it was Kate Moss I might have taken her advice.”

He later told pals: “I was a bit stunned so I didn’t say anything. But what I really wanted to say to her was ‘likewise’.”

Cherie ... would never let her son leave the house looking scruffy

VETERAN crooner Julio Iglesias will be next week’s guest coach — as predicted by TV Biz. Louis Walsh said: “They won’t be ancient ballads, we’re choosing songs from recent years.”

Louis and Simon in furious bust-up over gay insults on X Factor
By Fiona Cummins Showbiz Reporter

SIMON Cowell and Louis Walsh had a blazing row after slinging gay insults at each other during X Factor's first live show.

Bodyguards had to pull the feuding judges apart seconds after the cameras stopped rolling.

Cowell later stormed off the set without telling anyone, snubbing ITV2 spin-off The Xtra Factor.

Walsh was furious at personal jibes by Simon in which he said he had "a massive unfair advantage" during a "camp" Abba night.

He then hit back: "Simon, this song is dedicated to you... it's called Does Your Mother Know."

An X Factor insider said: "It was a humdinger of a row. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife.

"Louis was seething. He was screaming at Simon about how he is so smug and he had gone too far with the personal attacks.

"Simon's bodyguard Big Tony had to step between them because it got so heated. We all thought Louis was going to deck him."

The judges composed themselves for the results show, which saw Simon's act Ashley McKenzie and Sharon Osbourne's contender Robert Allen in the bottom two.

The insider went on: "Host Kate Thornton was told not to dwell too much on their comments in case it kicked off again.

"Simon was urging Louis not to get rid of Ashley and he was absolutely livid when he sent him home. Simon packed up his stuff and walked out of the building without speaking to anyone.

"When The Xtra Factor started, no one was even aware he left." Sharon called Cowell but their conversation did not go well.

The source went on: "She really laid into him about how he was becoming too personal, particularly when he deliberately called the MacDonald Brothers by the wrong name. She said he had overstepped the mark and was vicious.

"But Simon insisted he'd done nothing wrong - and hung up."

Yesterday, Cowell, 47, defended his actions - and branded Walsh "petty and vindictive".

Asked if he regretted his personal attacks on Louis, he told the Mirror: "No, I think he would have voted Ashley out anyway.

"I think the public cares more about my opinion than his.

"I'm angry because I thought Ashley was very good and don't believe he should have gone.

"I was annoyed because I don't believe you should be tactical when you vote in this show. I would even kick my own acts out, if necessary.

"In the real world, if Louis was given the choice of working with someone like Ashley or Robert, there wouldn't be a second's hesitation. He'd take on Ashley.

"He knew that Ashley had a much, much better chance of going forward in the show. I called him spiteful because he used something personal against me to affect someone's career and I don't think that is acceptable."

Asked why he did not want to appear on The Xtra Factor, he replied: "I wasn't interested. I would have regretted what I'd have said and it wasn't worth it.

"I'll be having words with him in my office. I want a quiet word. I'll give him a reality check."

But Louis, 54, hit back at Cowell yesterday, calling him "childish and silly". Referring to his personal attack on Simon, he said: "My retort to him was Does Your Mother Know? I'm just leaving that open. I'm not going anywhere with that one. That's all I'm saying."

He added: "I had to keep Robert. He's passionate, he cares and he always delivers.

"Ashley wasn't right. He looked great but he was in the bottom two two weeks in a row.

"Robert is so dedicated and enthusiastic. Ashley had a talent but wasn't using it and didn't seem to be as hungry as Robert."

He added: "It was unprofessional of Simon not to do The Xtra Factor. If Simon is so passionate about Ashley, he should give him a record deal."

Meanwhile, Ashley, 20, the fifth act to be voted off after his rendition of Winner Takes It All, said: "Louis obviously wants to win and Simon had all four acts left. I wouldn't say he was spiteful, he's just in it to win and had to get rid of one of us.

"It was Simon's decision to make me sing like that but I was more than confident and didn't think I was out of tune. I wasn't disappointed at all. But it wasn't my genre of music."

Around 8.5million people tuned in to Saturday's show.

EVEN THEIR MENTOR CAN'T BELIEVE THE MACDONALDS SURVIVE AGAIN

LOUIS Walsh's look of amazement says it all as the MacDonalds survive the public vote for a FOURTH week.

His unfancied Scots duo got through despite Simon Cow- ' ell savaging their performance of ABBA's Fernando.

Cowell told brothers Craig, 20, and Brian, 19: "It was ' a mediocre, very Scottish version of Fernando with the worst guitar solo I have ever heard in my life."

Louis told the Mirror: "I was surprised they made it after Simon's bucket of abuse. If they were in the bottom two, Simon and Sharon would have sent them home."

Walsh's gay gag sparks Cowell fury
06/11/06

FURIOUS Simon Cowell stormed out of the X Factor studio after cheeky Louis Walsh taunted him with a gay jibe.

Telly’s “Mr Nasty” looked stunned when the former Westlife manager Louis took a swipe at his sexuality.

Louis dedicated Eton Road’s performance on Saturday night of the ABBA hit Does Your Mother Know to Simon, 47, and then asked him: “Simon, does your mother know … you’re out?”

Nearly nine million people heard their bust-up after Cowell branded Louis “spiteful” for dumping 20-year-old Ashley McKenzie out of the ITV talent show.

Later, in an exclusive chat with the Daily Star, Louis said: “He never gets a joke when it’s aimed at him, so he was a bit confused to start with.

“But he wasn’t very happy when he finally figured it out. That – along with the fact he’d just seen one of his acts axed – he had a real diva tantrum backstage.

“I will do anything to wipe the smug smile off his face for five minutes.

“I chose Ashley because I thought he was getting as smug as Simon and that’s never good.

“Now he’s out I think he should give Simon his necklace back!”

Music boss Cowell has been dogged by gay rumours, despite a number of relationships with women. And after the cameras stopped rolling he was so furious he refused to appear with Louis, 54, on the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor.

Last night unrepentant Louis hit back, saying: “He thinks he’s the best and can’t stand it when he loses.

“Both Sharon and I have lost two acts, yet we both carried through with our commit-ments on The Xtra Factor.

“It shows what a bad loser Simon is – that instead of acting like a true professional, he swans off into the night never to be seen again. He should be more of a mentor to his acts.

“He’s got far too big for his boots this year and I think that the public are starting to realise that.”

Simon proved he really is a puff on Saturday night by smoking at the judges table during ad breaks – contravening health and safety rules.

A show insider said: “Simon likes his fags and he is a law unto himself. What he wants, he gets.”

I'm starting to dislike Louis - his comments about Ray having to change his genre because he was bored of it etc, yet doesn't say the same to Ben even though his genre never changes - he's more like the diva at the moment IMO.

I respect Simon Cowell alot but he has pushed is like once to many times and its right that Ashley should have gone!

I am pleased Louis has said the things he did, because it might make Simon think abit more before he opens his mouth. He should have been more professional and stayed for the Xtra Factor, having read the reports it makes you wonder if it is all staged because Strictly Come Dancing has beaten them the last two weeks ? ? ? ? ? ?

Ok we no The MacDonald Brothers are not going to win, but they are the underdogs that you just want to back, like Chico, and as Kate Said on Saturday There is only one winner, so why not let the top ones go out week by week to make the process easier when it comes to the final? Maria should never have gone before Chico, but she is much the best of last year! Even Shayne Ward !

Since the stuff come out about Kate being replaced has come out, I found her attudiude has changed as in she does not give a stuff, and why would you! Simon should have more respect. My gavin told me once, when I was going to change they way I run my pubs, "why try and change something that is not broke" Simon should take note of that, this idea of theme weeks has been good but equally just as bad.

Ashley would have stayed longer if they had NOT had the theme weeks, The MacDonalds would be far better with up tempo songs such as the one about walking a hundred miles by those ginger singers. Dione would have been far better singing Shirley Bassey and the only person who would have sung Abba well was Kerry, but she had gone too, because of Simon's remarks. She might not have been able to go that far in the show, but she should not have gone yet.

Ray is lovely, he is pretty and a nice guy, but the swing thing has been done to death, people aren't interested anymore. Louis is right, he is more of a performer than a singer, and Ben he might fall in the same section, he has a unqiue voice which suits one style of singing.

Eton Road are these years winners, they are the very best, but they have the scope to improve and they can sing anything that is given to them!

My opinion Mr H x

SIMON Cowell finally reveals the truth behind those gay rumours — he’s married to fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

The bickering pair were at each others’ throats after a string of cheeky jibes on Saturday’s show.

But as this sensational picture reveals, it was all just a lovers’ tiff — and the unhappy couple tied the knot at a secret ceremony at last week’s National Television Awards.

Quiz show host Chris Tarrant, 60 — who is currently suffering his own marital strife — conducted the ceremony dressed as a cider-swilling vicar.

Simon, 47, said: “As much as it pained me to do it — I went ahead because I know it would make Louis’s dreams come true. But I insisted on being the groom, of course.

“There’s no doubt who wears the trousers on X Factor.”

Ironically, the picture stunt — for Heat magazine — came as tensions between Simon and Louis, 54, continued to rise.

Simon is still fuming at Louis dumping his act Ashley McKenzie at the weekend.

And insiders are worried the constant rowing could put the next series in jeopardy.

One source said: “All the judges aren’t exactly getting on like a house on fire.

“They’ve started to wonder whether next year it might be better to have new judges. If that happened, that would mean the end of X Factor as we know it. And it would cause a stink at ITV where it’s one of their highest rated shows.”

X FACTOR favourite Leona Lewis won’t win because she is black, her mum claims.

Marie, 42, said her mixed race daughter would lose out to Ben Mills, 26, if they made the final as viewers prefer white acts.

She added: “There’s never been a black reality show winner in Britain. Racism does play a part. How else can you explain Dionne going so soon?

“Ben can fit easily in.” But Marie, who is white, revealed America is already interested in Leona, 21.

THE first of Simon Cowell's finalists has been voted off The X Factor - but Ashley today vowed to become a star.

After a nerve-wracking sing-off against Robert on Saturday, Judge Louis Walsh sent the 20-year old singing sensation packing.

It left Simon incensed believing Sharon's act should have been the one to go.

But Ashley - who ironically sang Abba's The Winner Takes It All - said: "I may have been knocked off the show, but I'm on the top of the world.

"I'm more determined than ever to achieve my goals."

The youngster thinks he got the boot because the judges and the public misunderstood his confidence as cockiness, a problem he'd been warned about by mentor Cowell.

Defending himself he added: "People are so quick to criticise if someone doesn't have low self-esteem. I can honestly say I'm not cocky at all.

"I've learned not everything is what it seems.

"Anything is possible - just be strong. The world is your oyster."

Before X Factor Ashley had never sung professionally and never once entered a singing competition.

But he said: "I'm amazed I got this far. My nerves are all over the place. Every show feels like your heart is jumping out of your chest."

Now Ashley says he'll be rooting for the person who puts on the best performance each week, although he does confess to having a soft spot for Nikitta.

"She's only just turned 18, yet she's an inspiration," he explained. "She's been through a lot, but just comes out the other side fighting."

The handsome singer has high aspirations for his future and is keen to get started on new projects.

"I can't wait to be a solo artist," said Ashley.

"I'd like to work with as many people as I possibly can, but I think I'm too different to work in a group or be in a boy band with anyone else."

He added: "I want to be creative in other ways, not just vocally. I want to create projects for talented people who can't financially afford to go to the best academies or performing arts colleges out there."

He added: "I want to thank everyone from the soundman to the producer and to all the names I don't know, thanks for getting the ball rolling for me."

What a patronising little toad!
He doesn't wanna work in a boy band 'cause he wants all the glory!
He can 'honesty say he's not cocky at all'? My backside! That doesn't explain his little outburst after he was booted out.
That boy thinks he's such a star, when he is not. 'The handsome singer'.. Simon probably paid them to be nice to him or summat!

And Leona won't win, not because she is black, but because she is boring. I reckon her mother's really shot her in the foot with that comment..

(Sorry about the curse.. got a bit carried away.. :o)

But maybe that's the point. They aren't that serious, that's why people like them. They see X Factor as an opportunity to have the time of their lives and performaces as great opportunity for fun. That's why a lot of people like them because unlike the others they come across as having great fun and it's infectious. I personally like the fact that, at their young age, they aren't taking themselves to seriously. But maybe that's just me... :searchme:

You'd be surprised. When I went to see Westlife, they sung it - it was better than you would expect. :hmm:

I'm stilling willing that "singer" to be voted out. Even if it's just one of those 'people don't vote 'cause they think he's safe' incidents, I don't care. As long as he is got rid of.
And I hate the song, too. It's just another croaky rock song. And Louis complained about Ray not changing the style of his performances!

I really hope he doesn't do a swing version. Last week's swing version of ABBA was awful. He won't win if he keeps doing swing, its just so predictable.
I'm begining to get bored of this series already, its the same thing every week. Simon slates MacDonald brothers. Simon and Louis have a barney over just about everything. No wonder there are talks about decomissioning it after this series.

I think I'm just going to start backing them now due to the fact that a) it wil annoy Simon if they win b) he'll have to pay £1 million if they win! c) they'd beat the awful Leona. They're not as dreadful as they were, no where near.

Personally most acts were terrible last night and surprisingly The McDonald brothers were one of the best, after Robert and Ben (though Ben didn't relaly impress me), in my opinion.
Eton Road were not on form yesterday, but normally they're brilliant. I don't see the talent in Leona and thinks she's a singer who's trying to be like Mariah Carey and failing miserably. Ray and his swing are driving me mental too. Why isn't Ashley still there????????????
I don't think this X Factor is as good as the previous two, but that's just my opinion.

X FACTOR loser Ashley McKenzie has hit out at judge Louis Walsh for giving him the boot - claiming it had nothing to do with his singing skills.

The 20-year old - kicked off the talent series during the Abba-themed show – was sent home by Louis who chose to save Robert Allen, one of Sharon Osbourne’s acts.

Now Ashley, who sang The Winner Takes It All, believes his early exit had nothing to do with his ability and everything to do with the rivalry between Louis and Simon Cowell.

“Something that Louis said to me made me think there was a bit of politics going on,” Ashley told Now magazine.

“He told me: ‘You look good, you sound good and you’ve got star quality.’ But he still sent me home. If he thought I was that good, why would he do that?”

The youngster believes Simon has the strongest team in the show and that Sharon and Louis will therefore try to vote tactically against his acts.

Ashley, from Croydon, maintains he is not bitter about going. But he added, “People forget it’s not just a competition between the acts, it’s a contest between the judges, too.”

Now Ashley plans to grab whatever singing opportunities come his way, and in the meantime will be supporting his pal Ray Quinn, who’s tipped to go this week.

“I think Ray’s cheeky,” says Ashley. “He works the stage really well.”

JUDGE Louis Walsh says he doesn’t think the MacDonald brothers will win The X Factor.

The news will come as a huge blow to the young singers as Louis is meant to be their mentor.

The Irishman – famed for his pantomime banter with Simon Cowell - spoke about the boys on Graham Norton's Bigger Picture.

"Do you not like them?" Walsh asked the audience when he was greeted with booing after mentioning their name.

"They're really good singers," he continued. "Some people like them."

"Yes, they're called Scottish!" joked Norton.

Following further teasing from the host, Walsh then announced: "Oh I know they're not going to win".

Can't believe Robert has gone! It was horrible that he was against Eton Rd, but i'd rather they stay than Robert. Ray was a bit awful tonight, have no idea how he wasnt in the bottom 2. But have to say the best performance tonight was...

I haven't seen the results yet (even though I know who goes, I'm gunna watch it :p) but... Roberts gone?!? How did that happen. He is miles better than The Mcdonalds *yawn*, Ray, and tonight better than Eton Rd.

I'm shocked Simon didn't get rid of Eton Rd tonight though.. Seeing as he gave praise to Rob, and criticism to Eton Rd. Were they better in the final sing off??

Im shocked that Robert and Eton Road were in the final two, bless Louis Walsh getting emotional he knew he couldnt lose Eton Road. Robert was my fav of the night with Ben and Leona so I was disappointed to see him go. Ray was weak tonight and the Mcdonald brothers still survive my bet is next week those two will be up against each other.

Really, this isn't a talent contest aimed just at teenagers, little old ladies watch TV on Saturday night ,too.

The McDonald brothers are clean cut and many would be proud to have them as grandsons. Plus they are the only Scottish act left in the compititiion. If you have a local act would you not vote for them?

Ray is cute. I agree that his singing isn't the best, but I bet the older generation prefer him to Eton Road. (I do and I am only 42!)

Singing is only part of the reason people vote, and the demographics count for a lot.

Remember Fame Academy, when Lemar didn't win but David Sneddon did? David was clean cut and Scottish - where is he now? The last I heard of him he was in a Scottish anti litter ad.

If there is any justice - Leona to win

I thought Eton Road were awful last night. Robert was ace, I loved it.
I wish Louis and Simon would stop their petty squabbling. It's ruining the show and they just talk over each other when it comes to the judges' comments.

I know i watched the repeat to see what he was like and he wasnt all that good and everyone knows that He is one of the weakest vocally, i think he should of been in the bottom two, but at least he tried something different

I've just been having an argument with someone on MSN about this.. :D
I don't think Eton Rd deserved to be in the bottom two, they're the only ones who I find interesting to watch, the others are all boring.
She thought it was a fix that Robert was in the bottom two, which is a load of crap 'cause he's been in it twice! People always say it's a fix if they don't get their own way!
I do think Robert's a pretty good singer, but I can't say I'm sad to see him go.
She thinks (well, actually she "knows") that Louis only voted to send Nikitta home last week to get one over on Simon, and she thinks that he should have done the same, but that is not what the competition is about, and besides, Simon voted to get rid of Nikitta last week, too, so it's not like it's that hard to believe that Louis actually preferred Ray.

And I hope Leona follows Louis' advice and gives up the ballads!!

Leona as always in a league of her own.

But don't you think it's a bit unfair to decide their fate based on one performance..?

Apparently Leona is fave to win. :thumbsdow
I really hope she doesn't. She's a fantastic singer, yeah, but she still bores the hell out of me.
And no I'm not a racist, as I'm sure a lot of people would like to believe. Even Fiona Phillips (GMTV), who I always thought had pretty senisble things to say in her column, has written an article about how black people and girls are discriminated against in these comps, blah blah.
Which is a load of crap.
I don't vote for Leona, not 'cause she's black, but because, like I said, she's a bore. So I wish people who think that their must be some sort of discrimination going on, just because the voting public don't agree with them, would shut up.

She also went on to use Mica Paris being voted off of SCD as an example of racism. Come on! She was terrible!
She also described Ashley as "fantastic", which says it all, really.. :p

The McDonald brothers are clean cut and many would be proud to have them as grandsons. Plus they are the only Scottish act left in the compititiion. If you have a local act would you not vote for them?

Because as far as i'm concerned, they're the weakest in the competition at the minute. If they deserved to be there, then the fact that they're scottish or not wouldn't come into it. But people voting for them purely on their nationality seems pointless to me. And does the fact that they're clean-cut mean they deserve to win? Ray is pretty clean-cut, so you'd agree that he should win as well then, based on that?

Eton Road had a good song, but its one of those songs which is really hard to do, and i think they proved that. It didn't go together, so they deserved to be in the bottom two.

Ben and Lionna were fab! They deserve to get to the finals, based on those performances.

Robert was ok, not the greatest performance, so its not surprising he left. Though he was better then those bloody McDonald brothers, who dont even look like they want to be there, half the time!

Ray was a bit strange... i'm pleased he tried something other than swing, but i'm not sure if that was really suited to him...

And dont even get me started on Louis' crocodile tears!

Leona and Ben should definetly be in the final after last night's performances from them! Eton Road and Robert didn't deserve to have been in the bottom 2...it should have been Ray or the McDonald Brothers in my opinion. Simon played a clever game keeping Eton road.. robert would have been a rival to both Leona and Ray.. Eton road have not been together long and are doing well but I think they need a bit more time.. Ben and robert are ready now.. MacDonald bros I would hire for a wedding but I would not be buying anything they produce.. actually I wouldn't buy anything from Leona if she won either... X FACTOR bosses have given a huge hint that they expect Leona Lewis to win — by picking a big female ballad for the victor’s single.

The winner will release a cover of American Idol star Kelly Clarkson’s first hit.

And the choice of a belt-it-out song that suits a girl’s voice suggests bosses have chosen it with bookies’ No1 choice Leona in mind.

The stunning ex-secretary, 21, is the 4/9 favourite to win the ITV1 talent show, with Ben Mills, 26, at 2/1.

Her mentor Simon Cowell is bragging that she will become a megastar.

The winner’s song, A Moment Like This, is released on December 20, four days after the show ends, and is a Christmas No 1 cert. It is available to pre-order on HMV’s website.

Kelly, 24, won in 2002 and A Moment Like This sold 250,000 copies in its first week.

The fact the X Factor winner will cover it raised questions over who’d be ABLE to sing it.

An industry insider said: “It’s a difficult number that suits a girl’s voice. Leona’s the only girl left.”

But X Factor insiders said ANY contestant could sing it. A source said: “The song was actually originally recorded by a bloke for the demo tape. We’ll make four arrangements, so it fits anyone’s voice.”

Simon said he is not sure Leona will win, adding: “It think it will be Ben.”

If either of those two win, I'm boycotting next year's competition.
And I would hardly say Leona is 'stunning', she reminds me too much of an Afghan Hound, but that's just my opinion..

Why pick a cover song for the winner why can't they get an original song. I'm hoping there is a big shock and the McDonalds Bros win. I don't like the show this year, it isn't about talent more about the diva judges trying to best each other i really prefered last year.

As much as I like simon and I agree that Leonna is a good singer. I will laugh my socks of if she doesn't make it to the final. It hasn't been a fair competiton this year with too many acts coming from drama school or have already being signed up by an agent before they auditioned for the show. If they are going to release cover verisons I hope Eton Road release their verison of Abba's "does your mother know" they were fab at performing that.

Previous favourite to win Ben has threatened to quit The X Factor because he thinks it’s been fixed for Leona to win. The long haired singer reckons that the final song, Kelly Clarkson’s A Moment Like This, has been chosen to suit Leona’s voice.

‘He doesn’t want to record it and has been saying he will walk out of the show before the final if he thinks anything else is being swung in Leona’s favour.’
