I just read this on DS sounds convincing what does anyone else think :searchme:
Eastenders is about to enbark on a huge storyline that will see the return of 5 major characters and the departure of two much loved faces.
Den's body has been rotting under the Queen Vic for 10 long weeks and Zoe still beleives she killed him. When Kat returns after her stint in prison she entertains horrible stories of her time inside. with Zoe completely overcome with guilt Kat begins to suspect that something is not right. but with her mind occupied with Alfie and little Moe poor Zoe is left to go it alone. until Peggy turns up to support Phil in his trial.
in a one off episode to be screened at the beggining of June Peggy goes to see Phil (who returns for one episode before his fulltime comeback in autumn).
she finally gets the truth out of her son. that Den set him up and left him to take the wrap. Now peggy is angry and returns to the square demanding answers from Chrissie. when Chrisse tells Peggy that Den has left, Peggy tells her that she's got two weeks to locate him or she's calling in the police.
When Zoe hears of this ultimatum she goes over the edge and locks herself in the living room at the queen Vic. Sam and Chrisse panic when Rosie rushes to find Kat. they eventually get her to open the door but Zoe is hysterical and during a heated exchange Kat arrives and demands to know what is going on. both Chrissie and Sam try to keep Zoe quiet but the youngster can not keep it to herself any longer, and 'confesses' to Kat that Den is dead and that 'she' killed him. with four people now in on the secret its decided that its to risky to kepp Zoe in walford and Kat takes charge. she tells Zoe to get as far away as possible and sends her to live in spain with Kelly.
with no sign of Den Peggy calls the Police who descend on the Vic looking for Den. soon they are sending officers out to spain to try and locate him but when the search ends in vain the police become highly suspicious.
They concur that Den has gone missing sending Chrisse and Sam into a terrible panic. now Kat has to carry the burden too, knowing that Den is buried under the Vic begins to take its toll and soon all the business of Alfie and Moe falls on the sideline.
the storyline also sees the return of Sharon and Dennis who hear of there fathers dissapearence and comeback also looking for answers.
the entire saga is about to blow up in spectacular fashion. Den may be dead on buried but he'll be back to haunt the residents in his most vicious guise when his corpse is finally uncovered.

oh i realy hope they don't dig him up as that would send both Chrissie and Sam finally over the edge. With Zoe gone and Sam free to tell the police that CHRISSIE actually killed him and she could tell Kat the truth about the night Den died wouldn't this be too much for Chrissie??
Yes but Sam has no proof of it and Chrissie can do a onvincing story to Kat have her believe her

but i really don't think after sending zoe away and digging up his body that she'd be able to do it, she'd be too shocked and on edge
Your probably right Chrissie will crumble but I think Sam will go first she makes out being a Mitchell balh blah but she's like mush really

Exactlt it could go both ways
It does sound fesable, but more than likely someone has too much time on their hands
But one thing is that it has been what 2months since Den's Death, and Ok at first Zoe was feeling Guilty but she seems to be coping quite well now (well last time we saw her anyway!)
I think i even remember her telling Chrissie to get over it, or something like that anyway!
So why have EE waited this long to do the storline (if they do it) I mean they could of always started filming with Jessie Wallace earlier!
well they wnat to get rid of Zoe lead to Sams exit (please EE don't keep her on any longer) they want to fit it in with Kat's return Peggy's return and Phil in prison and also Chrissie and Sam will think they've got away with it so they'll be relaxing and this could wake them up a bit
Who knows but I wanted Zoe to be humilated by Dennis and Sharon returning

Don't know if I would believe all of that...but I defenitely think that Kat is going to play a major part in the culmination of this storyline.

dont know how true it is but it sounds good. though like most other people, i was looking forward to zoe being humiliated by dennis and sharon, preferably in public! oh well, we will just have to wait and see but if this story is true then hopefully they will do it well

That sounds highly plausible JBL. It explains all the little 'niggles' I was still thinking of. Quite a 'big' storyline considering the number of high ptofile characters involved. I cannot for one deal with constant crying and guilt it wears thin VERY quickly!

Gawd! If this does happen, i'll feel sorry for Chrissie and Sam and Kat, because they all know Den's dead blah blah blah. But i'll be jumping for joy that the whiney little cry baby will have left :D! It would be good to see Shannis again :wub:

I don't think she will because Chrissie and Sam are mates now. Ok they aren't the best of friends but Sam wouldn't tell Zoe. She has no reason for it. And if she does I will have to kill her :banned: !

I agree, Chrisse is a very calculating woman when she wants to be and when push comes to shove, she will do anything thats necessary to cover her tracks. Tracy said on the 'LK Today' show this week, that the stuff after Den's death will all soon start coming out, starting with Chrisse finding the doorstop.........

I couldn't disagree more.
If anything Chrissie was a god send to Den, she really was. This is a bloke who cheated on her twice and she took him back. If that were me I would have told him to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. She is a strong person but her love for Den overruled her head and therfore she believed him. Chrissie was keeping Den as happy as best she could. She was faithful, loving and put up with his cold ways. I really do think she was too good for him and that's not in the physical sense. To say it was 'all' Chrissie's fault it a little harsh. I actually think that she hold no blame what’s so ever for Den cheating on her. What did she do so wrong? Den is a player and did what he did out of selfishness. Chrissie did not deserve it. It's no wonder that she had to go to extreme lengths to hurt him in the end. Some would argue that it was harsh (on some level I do think that too, as she used Sharon to get her revenge) but she has been trampled over by him too many times and just walking away would be far too easy for her. Plus she wanted him to feel real pain; just the type subjected her to.
Chrissie loved Den and in the end that was his downfall the fact Sharon came before anything else I've said this before but compared to Zoe and Sam losing Den will damage Chrissie more cos she loved him. Chrissie killed him yes but it's all about self preservation Den ruined her life already she aint gonna let him do that to her again

Den did it becasue the was a sick, twisted individual who's better off dead. he was so obsessed with Sharon he ruined her happiness so she'd stay with him why???? thats true, we didnt see the body so its not completely certain that he died or that the body is buried under the vic it could be somewhere else. however, bringing den back would be very unbelievable and unrealistic and i think that for a lot of people it would make ee a laughing stock!

By coming back in 2006, it may mean that his body is found in 2006. This would be him technically coming back into the storyline.

I think this is a fab storyline!!!! I know Zoe has already filmed her exit scenes last week, so surely the scriptwriters have used the Den storyline as part of this. Wouldn't it be stupid not to? I find it hard to believe that after all the hype surrounding this storyline, Zoe would just be allowed to ride happily off into the sunset! Especially since she still believes she killed him. It would not be feasible if this storyline was forgot about for Zoe's exit. I also think that as Kim Medcalfe is due to leave the show, that surely that fateful night is bound to come back and haunt Sam. Chrissie is so cool, calm, and collected.... she can hold herself together! I think she will get away with it!! I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!!!!

I heard that when den was buried he was just unconcious, the concrete hadn't set when he regained conciousness and he crawled out without anyone knowing and he'll be coming back.
Now i doubt this because of what he did to get sacked, but its always possible with Eastenders.
Anyone know if theres any truth in that?
I doubt it very much Eastenders bosses made the mistake once of bringing him back and if they want to axe the show copmpletely this will be a very goood way of going about it he's dead and he aint coming back it aint Dallas

Why does it need Den I can't see how EE needs Den maybe in his early days but bringing him back ruined him I'm sooooo glad he's gone. EE needs to move on from the past and concentrate on the future new fresh characters that's what they need

I definetely agree that the 90's was a great era for EE. It was the time of the Mitchells and really good character based storylines. I can think of so many plotlines which shocked the nation, during that time. There's nothing like that now.
From what i've heard Den was a really great character in the 80's, I was born the year it started, so I've only seen these episodes on UK Gold, however what I've seen and heard about is quite gripping. I was very excited to hear he was coming back to the show, I thought it was going to be great, with Dennis, Sharon and Vicky all back together. They were all set to be a big strong family, perhaps the next Mitchells. But EE ruined that with rubbish storylines and terrible writers.
The way I understood it, Den was once a bit of rough, someone who was dodgy, but always looked after his family and friends. The way they turned him against Dennis, was shocking. There's no way the old Den would treat his blood relative with such contempt, I don't care what was going on with him and Sharon, Den treated Dennis like dirt before he even found out about them. And even when Den was in the know, family is important, and he didn't need to chose between Dennis and Sharon, he could have just as easily accepted it. The lengths he went to, to destroy their lives, it was disgusting. A father doesn't do that to his children. It was just so crazy!
I know there's no possibility of Den coming back now. But I wouldn't want him to come back anyway. He would have to go back to the same character he was last year, and it's something I don't want to see again. I want to see Sharon and Dennis happy and to see them living their lives as independent beings, free from any hold over their father. I like the fact that Dennis and Sharon have a bond that can never be broken, and they will always have someone there in their lives that cares about them. They'll always have family, they don't need Den!
