Is it snowing where anyone else is?!
It's absolutely chucking it down here; all the roads and pavements are coated in about a 5 inch layer and even when you walk through it, your footsteps get covered up dead quickly!! And my college is closed! I love snow!!! :cheer:

I have snow but not enough for the schools to close. Places nearby to me are covered in the stuff.
We got snow, but its only a small covering. Problem we have got is that its really icy underneath, where it snowed and melted yesterday and then the temperature dropped so bad last night. But now the sun is out and melting it all :crying:
we have no snow in Dublin.. it is bitter cold but nothing :crying: and I still have to come to work :crying::crying:
We have very little snow here in this part of The Emerald Isle. But its bl**dy freezing.

We have snow eher. The college is closed for the second day in a row. The buses arnt running and its caious. Hopefullly there will be no college again tomoorow

we had quite a lot of snow in early january here before we went back to school, and also some at a weekend in january a few weeks afterwards. there was a bit of snow on tuesday but not much. oh we had some last week too i think it was, that was quite a lot but again they didnt send us home and it was gone by the next day :( i want loads of snow, i mean its bliming cold enough for it!

It's a bit cold, and some gentle sprinkles of it but it melts as soon as it goes on the ground.

It is really cold here then it gets really sunny then cold again.
its freezing and we had ice balls this morning. it snowed a little bit but then the sun came out and it melted. clear skies all round.
Ahhh its snowing, well was here, and its settling and if it carries on we'll get the day off tmorrow (which would be fab!) It looks so pretty! x

I really want it to snow loads here, so far we have had 2 days of a quick snow shower and it hasnt laid. Connor has never played in the snow and it would be so nice to help him make his first snowman! that does it then ill have to move to wales:D

we have had a little bit of snow but we live about 30mins drive from north wales so we will be going there tomorrow with our sledge up the mountain everyone goes to, it is brilliant!
we have snow we got it this morning and then we got to go home at 11.45 yay!! i get to miss my maths test! It is lovely but i got hit by a snowball in the face and it hurt but i'm fine now
I live in Aberdeen in Scotland and it's been snowing constantly here since Tuesday/Wednesday.
All schools have been closed for the past 3 days.
In some parts of town there is up to 15 inches of snow!!
It's a complete nightmare!!

We had a few blizards today and the snow is pilling up. They would send us home though because the guy that decides if the school closes or not at the education base thought it wasn't bad enough. It was blizarding! :( My school had about 20 teachers and we have done nothing all day because of the shortage of staff.

that happened to us once.... none of the teachers that lived up in the hills could get in. one of the teachers was patrolling in a deer stalker whilst the others styaed in the staffroom. then at 8.55am they all made an appearance :(
says on the news that we are due to have snow tonight hooray!
hoepfully it will lay and we can take connor sledding tomorrow

no snow here today just sunny although in the morning when i woke up everyhting was whiter tham usual ....maybe that was just frost
its dreadful the snow was really bad this morning when i had to go to band. we had to walk up the hill as it was so bad yesterday my dad had to leave his car at the top as he couldnt drive down. I hate it when it snows as my house is dreadful to get out of. It impossible to get out of the roads.

i love the snow!!!
it is quite easy to get around here when it snows so i am quite lucky, i don't have to drive if i don't want to and the gritters round here are really on the ball so everywhere gets done, and the kids love it!!! ( and i make a pretty good snow man too!!)

we went into north wales today and it was beautiful. we took the sledge, threw snowballs and took some photos. it was great. i love the snow!!!

No snow here. We have had 3 days of glorious sunshine. It's still been really cold though.
I love the snow, unless I have to go out to work in it, but I hate they way that 1/2 an inch of the stuff grinds the country to a complete standstill!

yeah, the snow is back!!!!! we live on the wirral and never get any snow but we have woken up to thick snow and it is still snowing!!!!!!!!!!

Yay its snowing here and its lay and thre most be about 3 or more inches of it.It is still snowing every now and then its stop or turns into sleet but then it snows again.We have not had much snow and thought we were not going to get any but when i got up this morning there is loads. :cheer:
The stupid snow is basically floating around. It looks like a summers day with bits of paper flowing around.

The snow is awful here.
I have to collect my son from a school trip 8 miles away and the road is closed. He has been away for 9 days and the bus is driving to Edinburgh from Callais today - what a nightmare!

Thousands of club-goers have been making their way home after being stranded in Glasgow overnight by the heavy snow.
Various locations, including the Garage nightclub, Buchanan Bus Station and Central Hotel, were opened to 3,000 people who were stuck in taxi queues.
Police contacted bus and taxi firms to take the revellers home.
A Strathclyde Police spokesman said that the clubbers had begun leaving the city centre at 0800 GMT on Sunday.
He said: "Because of the weather conditions there were no taxis.
'Drifting home'
"We managed to get about 3,000 people accommodated in various locations, so they were in the warm and dry, which was something we had to do for safety reasons.
"There was no way we would have left people out on the streets overnight in those conditions.
"But they are now slowly drifting home."
The spokesman said that police in the city centre had directed people to various locations for shelter.
Officers had worked with staff at those locations to ensure people were not left out in the cold.
So glad i wasnt out last night

well apperntly we are ment to have a "blizzard" around 5 tonight cant wait to see if that ever happens! hope it does its supposed to be severe though as they've cancelled the year 8 parents evening due to the bad weather coming also the head has told all teachers to leave school no later than 4 so they can all get home

Sometimes the South East isn't as good as it may seem!! We had snow around Feb... which never settled one bit!! We had light snow on Friday... and nothing since.. It never settles :crying:

All I know is that its 2 deg here and its blooming freezing!!! So glad I've got my ear muffs (the ones that fit round the back of your head). I was getting strange looks this morning with people trying to work out how they were staying on my head etc, but hey, I don't care - I was warm!!! :lol:

I've got my cashmere lined leather gloves from Century 21 which are really warm, and then my long coat - my doctor thought I was off to a meeting this morning lol
There's a biting wind out there too, but it almost feels too cold to snow - we hardly ever get it down here though anyway, not unless you are on the moors anyway which is a shame

when i was about 5 my mam was the first to leave the house in the mornings. i remember one morning she came into our room and said stay in bed girls there's 6 inches of snow out there. we're lucky if we get 6 centimetres now.

We haven't had any since boxing day 2005. My mum thought that it was going to snow yesterday, but all we got was a load of rain.
io hate snow, it could be because of bad memories as a kid, my mum locked me out in the snow as i was whinging for her to come and play with me. If id have known the number for childline id have rung it. Was only 3 though.
We only had snow as its high up where i live. I also made a prat out of myself to day falling on the ice infront of loads of people at college. Why again do you people like snow??

We hardly ever get snow around here, and when we do, it hardly ever settles. The area is probably too built up, or something. Last time i had proper snow, i was probably about 8 :rotfl:

I love snow!We had quite a lot last Thursday and it was enough for the school to close and for me to go sledding and build a proper snowman but there was meant to be snow today and yesterday but so far none, it is certainly cold enough though.

Well it was meant to snow on Monday my mate said.. and it was really cold yesterday.. Today it was meant to snow (so the bbc weather online said).. it was colder than yesterday *Shivers and coughs*.. Apparently tomorrow it is going to happen.. I will be so happy if I manage to see one snowflake just falling from the sky!! I would love it to snow like it did about 3/4 years ago.. *Thinks back to the memories of having a school day off and snow fights on the road side*

my mum phoned me up this morning before she went to work and i said i was still in bed and she said look out of your window so i got all excited but it hadnt snowed here! :( so my mum, sis and gran all decided they would tell me how cool the snow was, its so unfair!

We got a little sprinking of snow, only a couple of mm though, which is rather pointless. It got icey as well so it was slippery. Had sleet as well.

we had snow today yay! :D it was fine this morning then when i went to my afternoon lecture it was snowing loads, i was so excited! but then it stopped! :( its sort of layed a little bit but not much, hoping we will have more tonight. funnily, today seemed warmer than it has been all the rest of this week!
I had an interesting conversation with my formteacher who said he has been looking about the weather and reckons we will get snow in Feb, well I'll wait and see then.

Plenty of snow here these past couple of days. I've been spraying table salt over our drive every day this week. Was quite icy this morning, but I kept the car on the road OK. :)

We often get snow in february, for the last 10 years it has snowed on my birthday,not always thick snow, but snow all the same. So watch for snow on the 23rd Febraury.

we woke up to snow yesterday, only a thin layer but it was still lovely! there is just a bit left today which has frozen overnight and it is lethal.
the met office has issued severe weather warnings for the next two days in loads of places for snow so i hope they are right!!
hey Dublin got a bit of snow (when I say a bit, it is not even 1mm but it is not frost)
We haven been getting a thin layer of forst and ice, but on the news and stuff and at school they keep sying we are expecting 6-8 inches!!!!!! And out teachers have told us tomorrow to check the school website or the local area to see if the school is closed :D
We are supposed to get about 6inches of snow tonight, but I'm not counting on it!!! going to be a nightmare getting to work tomorrow if we do though :wall:

It's certainly 'on the turn' again.
Frost here all day, and that will now stay overnight, and most likely get covered by a blanket of snow. That's gonna be hell when I drive off tomorrow morning.
Im meant to be going to Wales tomorrow, i doubt that will happen if the weather is as severe as they reckon. It looks like where i live though will miss it. hopefully it wil anyway.
We're supposed to have six inches tomorrow morning. Round here, no chance. I'll be surprised if we get a total of that by the end of the decade.

well we never get snow as we live on a peninsula but we got a covering yesterday followed by frost so patches of snow are still around.if my area can get snow then any can! i really hope we are going to get more and i hope we wake up to it tomoorow. failing that we can always go into north wales on saturday as it takes us about 30 to 40mins to get there.

It's just started in Blackpool but it looks more like dandruff than snowfall. We're too close to the sea for it to be worth getting excited about. It never sticks :crying: Although it could be worse, it's been as low as -27 back home

Snap. Tipped down all through the night, then was just clear, with high-ish winds (Bridge closed :rolleyes:). Was so gutted though, cause Cardigan, Fishguard, The mountains, etc.. all got it! 2 of my mates were snowed in :( Not impressed!!

woooo i got the day off, got 3/4 of the way to work and the boss phoned and say to go home again:D
The down side is i've now spent the rest of the day helping the guy's do our radiotors and boiler!! But hey, we going to have heating and hot water again tonight now :D

Rain, hailstones etc, but no snow. All day had it, got caught up in a hail storm waiting outside Ci's school to collect him this afternoon, freezing winds, but definitely no snow.
I do find it funny, in some respects and in the loosest sense of the word, how everything seems to come to a standstill when it snows. Roads closed, schools closed, etc. How do these people in countries where snow is more prevalent carry on! :D :lol:
Lol ems, I love it when everything comes to standstill, it just means I can spend more time in home in bed.

Nightmare drive this morning. Thank goodness I put the car in the garage. Traffic was horrendous, as people were naturally slowing into second gear on a duel carriageway due to the snow and ice.

Well it snowed again today in my area after it melted yesterday! It has been snowing all day here quite heavy and my whole area is covered in huge amounts of snow..an amount that i haven't seen in a long time!
Just went out of snowball fighting though and slipped on the concrete...my head started bleeding and i was really shaken up..luckily i am ok now though, just going to get a massive bruise on my head and maybe a black eye!

I was meant to go to Cardiff today, but as we were driving their the snow got too heavy, so had to turn back, went to Carmarthen instead, was really fun though, made snow angels, snowballs, snowmen haha :p But then I get back home and there's NOTHING!!! Gutted!
I was off to Bangor yesterday but the guy at the uni was really sweet and was like come next month dont try and get here, it wouldnt be a good idea, so i didnt go in the end. We have no snow at all here. None whatsoever theres some in Buxton though.
School wasnt cancelled again :( O well it was fun anyway. The thing is in my area we have had loads of snow, but keep getting like a 5 hour brake where most of it melts then it takes a while for it to set
We had a bit more today, although we weren't forecast it. It started melting in first lesson and was coming through the ceiling! Then we had a bit more come down during 4th lesson, but that all melted by lunch.
We had a load yesterday, but its just slush and ice now. Good old London pollution, eh?! :rotfl:

it snowed for so long yesterday evening and stuck everywhere then rained and this morning it had nearly gone! so we drove to north wales, about 35mins and it was so thick it was amazing! people were digging their cars out of their drives and we had a really good time in it for about 2hours till our toes were too numb!
All the snow has gone now, its all melted :(

Not a whisper of snow Dawny - nothing at all. Serves me right for living down here I suppose. They had 3 inches on Exmoor though apparently but seeing as my mum was with me all day yesterday, I didn't see it. Just saw the remnants of the snow on the hills on the way to Birmingham yesterday instead.

Aww, that's not good, your kids didn't even get a day off school. We had it for one day here, and it was nearly all gone by the evening, but where i work had loads, so i got sent home from trying to get to work on the Thursday, and now i'm on holiday for a week, so i got an extra day :D

Went down to the local river this morning with the other half and daughter to feed the ducks, and it was huge. All the melted snow and heavy rain we've had these past few days have had a big impact.
The lake by my college is frozen solid, all the way across. And its a huge lake, anyway.
The snow and ice has all gone, but that doesn't look like it'll shift for a fair few days still.

I live in Cheshire and yep we got snow, but like where I live its all melted now but in some parts its taking longer
yto be honest i dont want to hear another word about the snow, it made national news, That shoes you how southern orientated the BBC is.
It was definitly more in the south and seemed to have avoided the Cities altogether. I thought the picyure of Newquay was funny, the most snow was meant to fall there and it looked like the baharmas.

anyone seen the latest weather warnings? they are on the met office website. severe snow warnings over lots of the uk from sunday through to wednesday! and very cold also with blizzards in scotland!
