the rebellion begins!
Helena Bonham Carter, Bellatrix Lestrange in the fifth Harry Potter movie, recently spoke briefly about her role in OOTP.
"I had five lines in that. I think they cut three of them - and I was there for six weeks. I don't know quite how, still, to this day, I was there for that long. It really is 90 per cent waiting. I mean, nice waiting - waiting's OK if you've got a trailer. I just sleep. I'm a very good sleeper. And it is quite amazing to meet all these old actors. It's like a rest-home for British Equity, and we're all lying around and chatting. You can't look to huge job satisfaction, but it's nice to be part of it. And it's fun to be a witch."

These actors are aging so fast - they should have done a lord of the rings and filmed some of the early ones at the same time.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which opens in cinemas in July, sees Harry's school friends taking a more central role in the battle against the evil Lord Voldemort.
Calling itself Dumbledore's Army, the group meets in secret to learn how to battle the Dark Arts.
Actors Bonnie Wright, 16, (Ginny Weasley), Matthew Lewis, 17, (Neville Longbottom), Katie Leung, 19, (Cho Chang) and newcomer Evanna Lynch, 15, (Luna Lovegood) are all members of the Army.
They talk to BBC News about being fans of the schoolboy wizard, and what it is like being part of the Potter phenomenon.
WERE YOU A FAN OF HARRY POTTER BEFORE YOU GOT THE PART?
Bonnie: I am definitely as fanatical as many of the other fans out there. I really enjoy the books and I can't wait for the last one.
Evanna Lynch beat 15,000 hopefuls to land the part of Luna Lovegood
Evanna: When I was about eight I was stuck in a phase of reading Tintin books but my mum wanted me to read something else. She said "there is this great book called Harry Potter", but I said I didn't want to read about a boy with glasses - I just thought it sounded silly.
Then she read me a chapter and I took it from her, because I loved it - and Tintin took the bottom shelf.
Matthew: I've been acting since I was five, doing Heartbeat and that kind of thing, and when I got to the age of 11 I had already read the books - I was a massive fan.
I heard they were making a film and I just wanted to be in it in some way. Even just as an extra, it would have been perfect.
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR PART IN THE FILM?
Bonnie: I heard they were auditioning, and I think it was more a case of "why not go for it?".
Matthew (r) is one of the original cast members
I always really enjoyed being in school plays, and the teamwork involved, but when I went I suppose I never really thought I'd get the role. After I got it there was a moment when I thought "can I do this?".
Evanna: I saw a poster advertising open auditions for Luna. Also I had sent tapes to the casting agent saying that I wanted to play her.
When they told me I had it, I couldn't believe it... I was waiting for her to call back and say: "I was only joking!"
I had to keep it quiet for a few days, but when I told my friends they were very, very excited.
Matthew: I took a day off school to go to the open audition in Leeds.
I was in there about two minutes and read a paragraph from the book. About two or three months later they asked me to come down to London for a recall for Neville Longbottom.
From getting to meet Chris Columbus [director of the first two films], to having a screen test, to actually getting the part happened in the space of about two or three days. To get that call was just great. I was jumping up and down on the sofa going crazy.
WHAT WAS YOUR HIGHLIGHT OF FILMING HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX?
Harry has to deal with his emotions as well as evil wizards
Matthew: I love comedy, I love making people laugh - but what I really loved this year was tackling the emotional side of Neville.
That was a big challenge for me because Neville has always been a light-hearted, humorous character and I have never had to do anything as deep and emotional as that before.
Katie: Kissing Harry! I was so worried it was going to go wrong and that we would bang heads or something.
I think it was more awkward beforehand knowing it was going to come up, but we had a chat beforehand and had a laugh, asking each other if we'd brushed our teeth.
WHAT HAS IT BEEN LIKE GROWING UP ON SCREEN?
Bonnie Wright has starred in all of the Harry Potter films
Bonnie: It has definitely made me more confident. When I was younger - I started when I was nine - I was very timid and shy. We have all grown up in it together and are really comfortable with each other.
Matthew: Some of us shave now! We come in and the make-up ladies say 'I'm sick of shaving you, will you just do it before you come in?'.
Even if it's just a little bit of bum fluff they have to get rid of it.
HOW HAS HARRY POTTER CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Bonnie: Sometimes I get recognised and I don't think you can ever get used to that.
Katie Leung's character Cho is Harry Potter's girlfriend
It is always in places you don't expect. You can be on holiday and someone randomly comes up to you. It has made me aware of how big the audience is for Harry Potter.
Matthew: The things I have experienced and the places I have been are just incredible.
I have to spend a lot of time away from home, so I miss my friends a lot. I get quite homesick, but the pros just outweigh the cons.
When I go to parties back home, my friends say "guess what, he's in Harry Potter" because it's a great good way of getting in with girls.
It's a good way to start a conversation but I like to quickly get away from it. There's a little bit more to me than just Harry Potter.
Katie: I had a lot of positive feedback, fan-mail and stuff. I don't get recognised very often, if anything I'm just more confident now. I used to be really shy so it's a really good thing.

I'm pretty sure it is. I think its just the way they've taken the picture behind the door. I haven't heard anything about recasting him.
Mark Williams is again in the role of Arthur Weasley - the part hasn't been re-cast :)

Thanks guys. Nearly finished reading the book. Can't wait for the film now :D
The Times rates OOTP 3 out of 5 http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/film/film_reviews/article2000948.ece
The London Times has posted the first official review of the Order of the Phoenix, giving it three out of five stars. While it does remark on some positive aspects of the film, including Immelda Staunton's performance, it also focuses on the negative parts:
"The acting skills of Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione) have improved, but not enough to truly flesh out the characters and provide the narrative depth this transitional, plot-advancing film needs. They have got “angry” and “determined” down pat at this point, but struggle somewhat on the more nuanced grimaces. Harry’s bellowing cod-psychoanalysis of Voldemort is jarringly awful."

New OOTP clips and more, never seen before http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2776&Itemid=99
You can now view the eleven new Order of the Phoenix clips we reported about yesterday in English here. In addition, there are two behind-the-scenes videos, and interviews with the cast (more interviews will be added gradually) at the link above.
New Evanna and Emma interviews
Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) has done a new interview with the NY Post http://www.nypost.com/seven/07012007/news/nationalnews/casting_magic_nationalnews_angela_montefinise_____ and_melissa_anelli.htm where she discusses landing the coveted role, some of her theories on the books, and more.
As a fan, are you a shipper? Who do you like?
I ship all the normal ones - Ginny/Harry, Ron/Hermione, blah blah blah. But I do have a strange one, which is Luna/Dumbledore (??!!) I think they would be quite perfect. They're both so detached, so otherworldly and so comfortable with themselves and they have this uncommon fearlessness of death. They also both have quirky hobbies and deep minds and I can see them getting along a storm. I don't see this ship sailing, of course. It's just one which I think could have had potential, aided along by a time-turner.
Also, Emma Watson did an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald http://www.smh.com.au/news/film/a-life-after-harry-potter/2007/07/01/1183228944244.html where she talks about kissing Ron in the sixth film:
"Kissing Rupert's going to be sooo awkward," Watson says, screwing up her cute rosy-cheeked face. "I'm trying not to think about it...it's all part of the job I guess. Don't tell him I said that. Rupert's lovely. Girls would probably give their left arm to be in my position, so I'm certainly not complaining."
I didn't know Hermione and Ron kissed in the sixth book, I must have skipped that chapter
Hundreds of Harry Potter fans crammed into London's Leicester Square in torrential rain for the European premiere of the fifth film.
The film's star Daniel Radcliffe arrived clutching an umbrella as fans' chants of "Harry, Harry, Harry" drowned out the sound of thunder.
He was joined by author JK Rowling, who said that it was "fantastic" to see the crowds of fans.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens in the UK on 12 July.
Rowling spoke of finishing the final book in the series, which is published on 21 July.
Some fans had camped out overnight
"Finishing it was very, very emotional," she said. "It's been a hell of a month. I'll want to know what the people in my house think of it."
Asked what plans she had for the near future Rowling said: "I'm looking forward to going on holiday."
Darker film
Radcliffe, 17, who was joined by his co-stars Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), returns to the role of the student wizard, which he first played at the age of 10.
Emma Watson returns as Harry's classmate Hermione Granger
He admitted that the new film is darker than previous ones.
"Toward the end there's not many laughs to be had," he said. "While there's not actually direct comedy, there's some really heartfelt emotion."
Speaking of his first on-screen clinch with Katie Leung, who plays Cho Chang, he said: "She's a very good kisser."
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix sees Harry bring together a group of apprentice wizards and witches at his Hogwarts school to battle a growing evil.
Advance orders
HOW HARRY POTTER HAS AGED
Daniel Radcliffe was chosen to play Harry Potter in The Philosopher’s Stone when he was just 10 years old.
By the time the Chamber of Secrets was released, Radcliffe, 13, had grown used to the limelight.
Radcliffe was 15 when The Prisoner of Azkaban came out. Questions were asked about whether he was too old.
Following the Goblet of Fire, Radcliffe, then 16, signed up to play Potter in the remaining three films.
Radcliffe, who next appears in The Order of the Phoenix, is now 17 and has branched out into theatre.
BACKNEXT1 of 5British director David Yates takes over the reins from Mike Newell, becoming the fourth director to be involved in the franchise.
Better known for gritty TV projects such as State of Play and Sex Traffic, Yates has already signed up for the sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Nearly 1.6 million have already placed an order for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - the seventh and final instalment - ahead of its publication.
Emma Watson has admitted that she will never have to act again once she finishes work on Harry Potter.
However, the actress, who plays Hermione Granger in the films, insisted that she is extremely keen to continue with her career.
"Let's be honest, I have enough money never to have to work again, but I would never want that," Emma told Parade magazine.
Watson confirmed reports which suggested that she had doubts about signing up for the rest of the Harry Potter movies.
"People underestimate what a big decision this was for me. This is the next three or four years of my life," she explained. "Being in the spotlight and the lack of freedom are the sort of things that held me back."
Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he still gets star-struck when he meets Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
Speaking at the British premiere of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the actor, who takes the lead role in the movie adaptations, said that he can't help but feel nervous when he chats with Rowling.
"I still get starstruck," he revealed. "When you're around her, you sort of sit there thinking: 'You know, I'll just be very professional about this, we're work colleagues now.' But inside I'm just thinking: 'Oh my God, she's written the book!'"

I have seen some pictures of the premiere's... Just makes me want to go there and scream 'DANIEL!!' but hey! I can't wait to go and see the film, I don't know when I will be going for sure though. My mum wants to see it so hopefully during the summer holidays or something! x
Did anybody see the behind the scenes program on ITV1 tonight? I had to look away when the showed Dan kissing Katie. I was so jealous of her.
I watched Philosopher's Stone before the interview thing, I can't believe how much they have all grown up.
