Heya, this is a one off TB story. It's like the episode with Cop Idol, december 2002, just because I like songs and absolutely love singing so I thought I'd do one about it. Mainly to get everyone into the Valentines Day mood. My new characters: SRO Fiona Wells.

Superintendent Adam Okaro stood at the front of the briefing room. There was CID and the relief all sitting in front of him. "Alright everyone. I know that recently you've all been working hard with this Casson's case, so because Valentine's day is today we shall have another Cop Idol, valentines day special. So those of you that participate will have to perform a love song." Some of the people moaned. "Oh c'mon at least now you can sing a song that is dedicated to a special person. If you can then sing and play a musical instrument, if you can't play and instrument then just sing. Right well get thinking about what song you want to do and practice. Tickets, for those of you who just want to watch or for family members, will be on sale front the front desk. Fiona can I trust you with the responsibility of selling tickets." Fiona nodded happily. "Ok, they'll be fifty pence each. I think we'll have a piece of paper with your names and suggestions for where the money should go. Ok, get back to duty and make sure this doesn't make your work lack."
Everyone got up and went to where they had to go. Fiona was walking back to the front desk with some people from CID. "So, anyone know what they're going to do. Zain, Mickey, Sam?" Samantha Nixon turned around to face Fiona, they were quite good friends. "I might do, but I'll save it until tonight." She answered smiling happily. The CID lot went up the stairs and into there department. Sam sat at her desk while Phil sat at his. "You taking part tonight?" She asked him. "Probably, I've pretty much got a song in my head." Sam looked curious. "What song?"
Phil smiled mischievously. "Hey you're not the only one who can keep their song secret. I'll surprise ya tonight." Sam smiled, then glared playfully. She picked up her phone and dialled her home number. After three rings her daughter picked up. "Hello Abigail. How d'you fell about coming to see a singing show tonight at my work. Sort of a talent show, I'm going to be in it. You can bring Aaron along too." After getting a reply Sam ended the conversation and put the phone down. "Who's Aaron?" Phil asked still looking at the sheet of paper on his desk. "Your nosy aren't you." Sam laughed. "Aaron is Abi's baby." Phil smiled. He knew how much trouble had been caused before but he never doubted that Sam loved her grandchild.
When it was Sam and Phil's coffee break they headed downstairs to pay for tickets. Sam put her money in the box then picked up the piece of paper for suggestions about where the money should go. Phil had gone before her. She read what he'd put.
Phil Hunter. The money should go to me. Joke. It's should go to a fund for Sunhill police station.
Samantha Nixon. I think the money should go to a charity i.e; Cancer Research UK, NSPCC, British Heart Foundation etc. Sam wrote quickly before going to get a coffee in the canteine with Phil.
Canelly High Street, PC Honey Harman and PC Dan Casper were walking up and down on foot patrol. "So, you going tonight?" Dan asked Honey trying to make conversation. "Yeah, course I am. I heard that Sunhill have got some really good singers. Never heard hardly any though." Dan looked at her.
"You singing anything?" He was absorbed in his thoughts of all the people singing. "Well Leela, Emma and I were thinking of singing Honeyz song Never let you down." Dan smiled. "Ironic artist name." Honey laughed.
After the shift everyone went home to get ready for the big event. Nearly everyone was singing something. Some where playing instruments but not all. At half past seven everyone was back at the station with family and friends. Loads of people had turned up to see police officers singing. They'd all packed into the canteine in seats. At one end a stage had been put up for the performers.

I had to cut the story into two bits otherwise it would be too long!!
