View Full Version : The X Factor 2010
Simon Cowell has confirmed that there is no contract yet in place with ITV for next year's X Factor.
Speaking at the press conference for this year's final, the show boss brushed aside reports that decisions had already been made regarding format and judging changes.
Cowell said: "Where we stand next year, we have no deal in place for The X Factor. Until that's concluded I can't really tell you about changes at the moment, because we've got to get that sorted first of all.
"That's the conversation we'll be having next year with ITV. Genuinely, we make these decisions when we've had a break from the show, we're a bit too immersed in it at the moment."
He added: "It's a long a show, so we tend to have a break and sit down and then we decide what we want to do. This year was a good example, because we changed the audition sequence after shooting one day in Scotland.
"At the last second, with eight days to go, we built that audition arena and travelled all over the country with it. It was a nightmare. I actually built the set myself! In my shed!"

its too early for anyone to say whats going to happen next year i think all that simon is thinking at the mo is getting on that plane and relaxing nxt to his pool in LA! thinking about what to buy next
Because this show is so popular and ITV and Cowell have raked in the money, there will be another X Factor in 2010, perhaps with Robbie Williams as another judge, maybe without Dannii or Cheryl (although she is now reported to want to go for a hat trick rather than having a baby), but this show is a golden goose that will not be killed off.

As long as Simon and Louis are back as judges i dont care who else :D
Yep, that would be fine with me too :)
I lkie Louis and Dannii the best to be honest, Simon is financially interrelated with the show to such an extent and I don't think that it would be possible to bring it back without him
I cannot stand Cheryl :wall:
Cheryl will never get the sack, but I do think she will quit after this series.
As good a judge as Danni is i think it's time she moved on and gave someone else another chance.
Will be exciting to see who replaces either or both of them, and who will be the 5th judge! :D

Simon should hire Michael Buble as a judge
I think Danni wont be back - Cheryl is going nowhere Simon so wants her
SIMON Cowell is already plotting next year's A-list guest stars for the X Factor - and first on his wish list is David Bowie.
The music mogul - who has barely rolled out his beach towel on holiday in Barbados - said credible singers such as the Ziggy Stardust star would stop the show going stale.
Cowell said: "I'm thinking we should do something for David Bowie. I think that would be good. Just because he's a great songwriter."
He added that an indie music night was a "possibility" after alt-rocker contestant Jamie Archer helped to pull in the viewers.
And Cowell confirmed he had asked Eminem to be a guest judge after the rapper said he and legendary producer Dr Dre would be ideal for the show.
Cowell said: "I'd love to have them on as guest judges on a theme which would make them comfortable.
"I've extended the invitation to Eminem already. What did he say? I don't know yet."
But there is little chance of much punk rock featuring any time soon.
Cowell revealed he had a bad experience at a Stranglers gig as a youngster - as everyone was SPITTING.
He said: "That's all they did. The minute you walked in they spat at you. I remember thinking I couldn't think of a worse way, genuinely, to spend a night."
Despite the planned changes, Cowell told NME magazine that the X Factor shouldn't get too serious.
He said: "Once the show starts to take itself too seriously then it puts everyone off. There has to be a sense of humour in it and it is what it is. It's just a bit of fun.
We went through a period, certainly in the last 10 years, when everything for me became too cynical and sniffy, as if the world is being run by so-called tastemakers and I don't like that."
Cowell defended himself against a charge from singer La Roux that he was responsible for "ruining the music industry".
And he lashed out at "snobs" who have criticised his TV show music acts.
He said: "I'm not sure who has the right to say that you have better taste than somebody else, because essentially what you're doing is calling millions of people morons."
He said he had tried to watch Jools Holland's BBC2 music show and had to turn it OFF.
Cowell said: "I looked at the show the other night and I lasted 20 seconds. I just didn't like the look of it.
"I looked at the acts, listened to the songs and just didn't get it. But there are people who do like it, so I would never scream at him, 'Take your show off the air, you're destroying the business!'
"It's more like, good luck to him."
He said that The X Factor had actually helped the British music industry as it got more people into record stores.
He added that he still hadn't heard from Leonard Cohen after he chose his song Hallelujah for the X Factor winner's song last year. He said: "I would have liked to have heard from him."

FORMER Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland has revealed she would like to be a fifth judge on the X Factor.
The US star, 28, put her name in the hat after show boss Simon Cowell said he wanted to bulk up the panel next year.
Simon has set his sights on Robbie Williams, 35 - who sang with runner-up Olly Murs at the weekend and ran a masterclass earlier in the series.
But his pop career could make it difficult for him to commit.
There is also speculation Dannii Minogue, 38, may not return next season - which would open up another slot on the judges' table.
Tempted
Kelly was mooted to step in for Dannii when Simon was considering axing the Aussie earlier this year.
And signing a major R'n'B name like Kelly would be a boost for the ITV1 hit.
Kelly said she was tempted by the show - but insisted that she would support the wannabes and not be bitchy.
The When Love Takes Over singer said: "Who am I to judge someone's struggle and where they've come from?
"We have all had difficult battles. It took Destiny's Child six years to get a record deal.
"Sometimes there is a waiting list and you have to struggle and have patience.
That strengthens you, makes you better and more appreciative when

Dannii Minogue has dismissed the latest rumours surrounding her future on The X Factor.
Earlier this month, it was suggested that Minogue was "highly likely" to quit the ITV1 talent programme because she wished to start a family with boyfriend Kris Smith.
Meanwhile, another report has since claimed that the popstar's future on the judging panel is under threat because show boss Simon Cowell "can't stand" her.
However, writing on Twitter, Minogue insisted: "Simon Cowell decides the X Factor panel around January. All news articles till then are just speculation!"
Rumours that the 38-year-old planned to quit were recently branded "total rubbish" by sources close to Minogue. An insider said: "If she is offered it again, then she will decide if she wants to do it."

She should tell Simon where to stick it. the way shes been treat this year like a total outsider for no reason is quite frankly disgusting.
But it is a very nice little earner for her, to sit there and comment on people's singing. And if they bring a 5th judge in, it might relieve the tension.
ROBBIE Williams has given the clearest hint yet that he WILL take up Simon Cowell's offer of a judging spot on The X Factor.
The Robster yesterday said he was tempted by Simon's offer to be a fifth judge next year, adding: "It's a goer."
He confessed he had space in his diary as he wasn't planning a major tour until 2011.
Asked if he would join Simon, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on telly's biggest reality show, he replied: "I'd like to confirm that's a goer."
But the mischievous singer then appeared to backtrack, adding in a GMTV interview: "No, I'm all right for the time being."
Confused? So is TV Biz.
One thing is for sure though - he will certainly have time to do the show. He won't be touring with new album Reality Killed The Video Star until 2011.
Robbie used the telly chat to gush about The X Factor, which he performed on twice this year.
He said: "X Factor has been the centre of the universe for the last two months.
"Me and the missus (Ayda Field) have been watching it every Saturday and Sunday and voting and getting excited and upset when our favourites go."
And he told how The X Factor wannabes had become obsessed with him. Robbie bumped into Jedward and other show stars while filming Ant and Dec's Christmas special on Wednesday night.
He said: "Miss Frank were on and Rachel from The X Factor and Jedward. One of them wanted me to be their uncle, another their brother and another their dad!"
TV Biz certainly hopes he'll be part of The X factor family next year.

THE X Factor final may be staged a week early next year so the winner can avoid a Christmas No 1 battle.
The news came as this year's victor Joe McElderry is set to miss the top spot again - beaten by his show mentor Cheryl Cole.
The X Factor judge yesterday released her new song Three Words, which is tipped for No1 this weekend.
Top tip ... Cheryl Cole
Top tip ... Cheryl Cole
Joe, 18, was beaten to top of the charts by Rage Against The Machine on Sunday.
He said: "I spoke to Cheryl and she said, 'you've had amazing sales so just be positive'."
ITV1's plan for next year means the winner would be guaranteed a No 1 for at least a week.
They fear the success of the Facebook campaign to get Rage's Killing In The Name to No 1 will be repeated.
A source said: "If a show that gets 19million viewers can't muster enough support to beat an online campaign of music snobs, then maybe there is no point aiming for a Christmas No 1 next year."
Boss Simon Cowell wants to make next year's X Factor "bigger and better".
Ideas include bringing in Robbie Williams as a fifth judge.

Oh, I hope so. 2 pretty faces to look at all weekend, Simon and Robbie. :cheer:
Louis Walsh has claimed that he is frustrated by ITV's refusal to promise more investment in The X Factor.
According to The People, ITV has still not signed a deal for the next series of the talent show because executives are concerned about the cost of making it.
"The X Factor is ITV's crown jewel so they need to sort it out," Walsh said. "I have no doubt it will be back on our screens this year because it is so huge. But ITV need to realise that and sort the problem out. Costs are going to rise because successful TV shows cost money, but it is worth every penny to ITV."
Walsh added that Cowell's alleged demand for an extra £3 million is necessary to keep the show "fresh".
"Simon wants what is best for the show," he claimed. "He is not an unreasonable man. He knows what it will cost to make The X Factor even better next year and ITV have to realise that at the moment they have a great show to boast about.
"The BBC don't have it. Strictly Come Dancing was terrible last year because it hasn't changed in seven years. We have to change The X Factor to keep it fresh and to find different ways of it appealing to the viewers, because they are the ones who choose what to watch."
However, an ITV source said: "We have only got a limited amount of cash to spend on The X Factor because we have to invest in other programming. We have had to sack valuable people and cut costs to keep ourselves going as a business.
"It's been very tough and we need those demanding cash on Simon's behalf to understand we can only go so far. More money will be spent on X Factor, but there have to be limits."
DS
Jay-Z has announced that he would like to offer his expertise on the next series of The X Factor.
The rapper revealed that he is interested in helping Simon Cowell to discover hip hop talent when the hit ITV1 contest returns later this year.
According to The Sun, Jay-Z said: "Simon, if you need any help for the next series, let me know man and I'm your judge. There is a lot of untapped hip hop talent in the UK and if they want my help finding some for the final 12 I am sure I could assist."
The star, who has his own record label Roc Nation, also expressed interest in assisting show judge Cheryl Cole as she launches her solo career in America.
He explained: "I keep a close eye on the music industry throughout the world and I know how hot Cheryl is in the UK. The US market is the toughest one to break into, but once you do it, it is by far the most lucrative.
"I think Cheryl has that talent to do it. There is nobody in the US like her right now, and I would be very interested in helping her break the US market this year."
Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé performed with Cole's act Alexandra Burke on the 2008 X Factor final.

Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah has expressed interest in joining The X Factor's judging panel.
The 25-year-old singer recently spent time with show boss Simon Cowell in Barbados after flying out with bandmates Heidi Range and Jade Ewen over Christmas.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Berrabah revealed: "Barbados was so much fun. I was only supposed to stay for four days but ended up staying for two weeks, even though Heidi and Jade flew home.
"Simon was amazing. He's such a lovely man - kind and generous and really funny. He has a wicked sense of humour. We're good mates and obviously he's a great businessman. I'd love to work with him. He's a lot more laid-back than you think."
Of a possible space on the X Factor panel, she added: "I'd love the opportunity. It would be brilliant."
Reports recently suggested that the show's producers were considering replacing pregnant judge Dannii Minogue for the next series.
DS
X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is the odds-on favourite to depart the ITV reality show.
The singer and TV personality, who recently revealed her pregnancy, is the bookies' choice to leave the series.
William Hill is offering 2/1 for Minogue not to be a judge on the talent contest later this year. Bookmakers have also started taking bet on her new baby's name.
Earlier this week, the star expressed her joy with "amazing" boyfriend Kris Smith.

Beyoncé has reportedly been lined up to appear as a judge during the next series of The X Factor.
Simon Cowell is hoping that the star will become the fifth member of the panel to cover for a pregnant Dannii Minogue, the News of the World claims.
Cowell is allegedly considering adding a fifth category to the show so that both Minogue and Beyoncé can be judges.
Meanwhile, guest stars including Eminem, Robbie Williams and Jay-Z would step in for Minogue when she is unable to work.
"Dannii was brilliant on X Factor last year," an insider said. "Simon and everyone else would love to have her back. But there are real concerns that she isn't going to be able to combine motherhood for the first time at 38 and the exhausting auditions.
"Simon leaves nothing to chance and is planning for the future already. He wants to bring in Beyoncé. And what Simon wants, Simon gets. Expect Beyoncé on the panel. Nothing has been confirmed yet because the deal hasn't been sealed with ITV but she'll be there in some form."
Speaking about the possibility of guest judges, the source added: "It's difficult to get A-listers to commit to a six-month slot as a full judge, but a fortnight is a lot simpler. Simon wants to extend the mentoring to the judging panel so you get to hear what the stars really think."
Negotiations for the next series of the show are expected to begin in April.
OMFG if Beyonce was on the panel, i would die and go to heaven, her and Cheryl, my two biggest idols, OMG how exciting!
but tbh i can't see that happening at all, shes A list, I couldnt even imagine her on American Idol or American X Factor, neverlong our X Factor.
but it is a better rumour than Mel B or anyone rubbish like that!
I can see her on the panel :)
i dunno, i just cant imagine someone whos that massize on the judging panel. and why would she take part in the british one rather than the american one?
if any Destiny's Child member is going to be on the panel it'll probably be Kelly Rowland who has already been rumoured
Did she not want to slow down a bit this year though? Sitting on the judges bench might just be what she fancies
Katherine Jenkins is reportedly hoping to land a job on The X Factor.
According to The People, the opera star wants to replace Dannii Minogue if she leaves because of her pregnancy.
Jenkins, who is currently working as a judge on Popstar To Operastar, said: "I hear there could be a vacancy on The X Factor this year. So, Simon [Cowell], I'm here - come and get me!"
She continued: "I am a mentor to contestants on Popstar To Operastar so I've made the move from stage to telly. It would be a similar kind of role so I am getting the relevant training to join Simon on the panel. I now know what he has to go through with the contestants. What it's like to have to deal with them when they get upset."
However, Jenkins added that she wouldn't be the same type of judge as Cowell.
"I am no Simon Cowell," she explained. "I'm not tough enough. I can't be the bad cop because the thought of upsetting them upsets me. I see myself as more of a Cheryl Cole. I'd like to work alongside her. She's more of a pop girl and I do opera but we are both very passionate about our work."
Minogue recently dismissed rumours that she is planning to quit The X Factor.
Dannii Minogue's spokesman has officially confirmed that the star has not quit The X Factor.
Minogue revealed last night that her pregnancy means that she will have to sit out the audition phases of this year's show.
The singer explained that she needed "to be near my family in Australia at such an important time" but added that she still hopes to be involved in the programme.
Her spokesman confirmed to DS today: "Dannii has absolutely not quit The X Factor.
"Although she is having her baby at home in Australia, she would very much like to still be a part of the show in some capacity when it returns later this year."

maybe the people who get to the 'judges houses' stage can go to Oz!
A series of guest judges will reportedly replace Dannii Minogue at the X Factor auditions this year.
The pregnant singer recently confirmed that she will not be able to appear in the early stages of the seventh series as she will be busy having her baby in Australia.
According to the Daily Star, show producers are now planning to invite guest panellists to take the star's spot while she is away. Dannii's sister Kylie is thought to be already lined up to appear.
A source told the newspaper: "Dannii will let Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole pick the acts. Then there will be American Idol-style guest judges to fill her vacant seat, one of whom will be Kylie.
"Once Dannii has had her baby she will come back to the show for judging the final stages of the contest. And she will be back for the live shows."
Kylie recently admitted that she would not be capable of replacing her sister on The X Factor on a permanent basis.
A spokesman for Dannii yesterday said that the 38-year-old would "very much like" to be part of this year's series in some capacity.

oh yeh!
Plans for the new series of The X Factor are said to be "up in the air" due to the judges' busy schedules.
According to the Daily Mail, audition dates for the new run have not yet been finalised as panellist Cheryl Cole needs to fit the show around her tour with the Black Eyed Peas this summer.
Meanwhile, pregnant Dannii Minogue recently confirmed that she will not be able to appear in the audition shows at all as she will be in Australia to have her baby.
A source said: "Everything is up in the air at the moment. Cheryl has been trying to move some dates for auditions around so she can tour with the Black Eyed Peas, and [Simon] Cowell's in love!"
The insider added: "Either someone will fill in for Dannii at the auditions and she will return in some way for the live shows, or someone else will replace her entirely.
"But when you look at Denise Van Outen and her issues with the BBC last week, you release that no-one would want to mess with a pregnant lady!"
Minogue's spokesman recently confirmed that the star hopes to be part of this year's X Factor "in some capacity".

Simon Cowell has invited 2010 X Factor hopefuls to apply by uploading videos.
The reality TV judge described the new application process as an "obvious step forward" for the ITV1 show, which usually finds singers through a series of nationwide auditions.
Hopefuls who want to enter next year's contest and "stand out from the crowd" have been told to upload video performances of themselves. Details on the new application process are on the show's official website.
"This is an obvious step forward for us and we will ensure that every clip is watched carefully and presents another opportunity for people to enter The X Factor," said Cowell.
The closing date for online, video and PO Box applications is Monday, March 15. Auditions will be held in the summer in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.
The judging panel for the 2010 series of The X Factor will be confirmed next month, say reports.
According to The Sun, Simon Cowell will make his final decision on the show's format in April, ahead of the audition process starting in May.
Dannii Minogue confirmed exclusively to DS last month that she would be unable to appear at the auditions due to her pregnancy. However, she also claimed that she hoped to remain part of the show in some capacity.
A new judge may be brought in to replace Minogue, or a system of rotating judges, like the one used in the current series of American Idol, may stand in for the Australian until she returns for the Judges' Houses round and live shows.
Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Eminem, Mel B and Robbie Williams have all been linked to a judging role on the ITV1 reality series.

Simon Cowell is meeting with producers in Los Angeles today to discuss the next series of The X Factor.
The Daily Star claims that the session will cover new ideas for the show and which judges will return.
Sources have said that the producers are planning to drop Dannii Minogue from the panel, with one claiming that it is "highly unlikely" she will return to the programme.
However, the insiders added that the show's bosses are concerned that they will face a backlash from the public if they don't hire Minogue, who is currently pregnant.
"Simon and his team are very wary of getting into the sort of problems the BBC has had with its female stars over age and so on," a source said. "For that reason, the best option is being seen as reverting to the three judges [Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole] this year. That means the seat is open to Dannii to return at a future date, although it is unlikely."
Minogue has previously confirmed that she will not attend the show's auditions but has said that she would still like to be a part of the show.
An ITV spokesperson said: "There is a meeting going on but it is too early to comment on what is being decided."
Walsh recently revealed that Cowell has already assured him that he has a place on the panel.

Is there any way to still apply for this? Annoyed that I didn't notice.
SIMON Cowell has still not signed his new £12million contract with ITV - putting a question mark over this year's X Factor.
The music mogul was expected to tie up a two-year deal in January, just as he announced plans to take The X Factor to the US.
Simon is expected to start filming this year's UK show in just three months time.
Insiders claim he has agreed his personal fee - believed to be around £6million a year - but is holding out for an extra £3million production budget to make The X Factor.
The extra cash would mean £300,000 more for each of the 10 live final shows.
A show source said: "Simon is committed to the show but only if ITV will pay up.
"He wants it to get over 20million viewers this year, but has told them to do this they need to put more cash in.
"They are trying to work out if that's necessary as it is already the biggest TV show."
We told how Simon met execs last week to discuss the new series, which starts preliminary auditions without the judges next month.
He has already sorted out cash for Britain's Got Talent, which kicks off within weeks.
However, his personal deal is wrapped up with The X Factor deal, so that has still not been signed.
The source added: "Got Talent is all systems go. X Factor is the sticking point."
An ITV spokesman said: "Discussions are well advanced."

Simon Cowell and ITV have still not reached an agreement over the budget for this year's X Factor series, according to a report.
The music mogul is continuing to hold out for an extra £3 million which would be spent on improving the contest's live shows, The Sun claims.
A source told the newspaper: "Simon is committed to the show but only if ITV will pay up. He wants it to get over 20 million viewers this year, but has told them to do this they need to put more cash in.
"They are trying to work out if that's necessary as it is already the biggest TV show."
It is thought that Cowell has already agreed a personal fee of £12 million which would keep him at ITV for two years and has also finalised the budget for Britain's Got Talent.
The insider added: "Got Talent is all systems go. X Factor is the sticking point."
An ITV spokesman insisted: "Discussions are well advanced."
Simon Cowell is reportedly in a quandry over whether to re-hire Dannii Minogue for the forthcoming series of The X Factor.
Minogue's first baby is due in July, which is right in the middle of auditions for the ITV1 show.
The Sunday Mirror reports that Cowell believes that it is unrealistic to think the mum-to-be can do the show and is already considering *possible replacements as part of a radical shake-up. Planned changes include the staging of the live auditions at the Royal Albert Hall while the grand finale will be moved to the O2 arena.
A show source said: "Simon is acutely aware how this could play out in public. He doesn’t want to be seen as getting rid of Dannii *because she's pregnant but *realistically he knows it will be impossible for her to do the whole show from the auditions through to the live finals.
"It’s a real dilemma but one option being considered is the possibility of giving Dannii a mentoring role on the show but not on the panel. Normally a decision like this would be taken much further down the line. But Dannii's pregnancy means the question has to be addressed now."
Fellow judges Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh have been told their jobs are safe and will sign contracts *confirming their return next month. Should Dannii be replaced, Paula Abdul is apparently being considered for the role.
A spokesman for Cowell said that nothing is definite. "Lots of things are being discussed," he said.

in my humble opinion i think the x-factor should take a year off. the show has become a parody of itself and the whole process is so cliched. plus both Dannii and Cheryl obviously have other things to be getting on with and Simon really should be paying some attention to his new fiancee! if they took a year off and came back in 2011 the excitement would be phenomenal.

Robbie Williams and Ronan Keating are among stars being lined up as guest judges for The X Factor's forthcoming auditions, a report has claimed.
According to The Mirror, Simon Cowell also has Paula Abdul, Mel B and Charlotte Church in the frame to fill in for Dannii Minogue, who is not appearing at the auditions this year due to her pregnancy.
A source told the newspaper: "The stars would attend all the audition days in one city each. It would create an extra buzz and make the initial shows even more exciting.
"Simon thought it worked well on American Idol, so it is something he is willing to try."
Yesterday, a tabloid suggested that Cowell was also considering axing Minogue altogether. However, the popstar later told her Twitter followers that there was "no truth" in the claims.
The insider added: "It is difficult to know if Dannii wants a big role until after she has her baby. The situation could be up in the air a while yet."
A spokesperson for Cowell said: "He is incredibly supportive of Dannii."
Simon Cowell has no plans to approach Mel B or Robbie Williams as permanent replacements for Dannii Minogue on The X Factor, a report has claimed.
The pair have been linked to the ITV1 reality show several times in recent months amid uncertainty surrounding Minogue's future as a panellist.
However, discussing Mel's chances of joining the programme, a source told The Sun: "That ain't going to happen. Mel's lovely but she will not be getting a judging position."
On Williams, the insider added: "Robbie will be a guest judge one day but he won't be permanent."
X Factor bosses are also expected to rule out having five panellists on the forthcoming series, as was rumoured last year.
The source explained: "The fifth judge idea is looking doubtful. The show would get pretty big - and it's already a monster."
Reports suggest that Cowell will replace Minogue if the singer does not promise to give X Factor her full attention when she becomes a mother.

Realistically there is no way that Dannii will be able to take part in this years show . Regardless of how many Nanny's she has. Why not get Kylie to stand in for her that way she won't feel so theatened with getting the boot.
Dannii Minogue will be told that she must accept a pay cut if she wants to return to The X Factor this year, a report has claimed.
According to The Mirror, show bosses plan to slash Minogue's £1 million salary by up to £300,000 because she will not be appearing at the auditions due to her pregnancy.
Minogue, who flew back to London from Australia earlier this week, is expected to meet producers today to discuss arrangements for the new series.
An X Factor source said: "This meeting is the first step to getting Dannii back on the show. If a solution can be worked out she will be here again at the live stages.
"We are very, very keen for her to come back so at this stage, it doesn't look like her pregnancy is going to present any problems we can't work around."
Reports suggest that Simon Cowell is planning to recruit guest judges who will fill in for Minogue while she is away.

Mum-to-be Dannii Minogue is expected to see her £1million 'X Factor' deal cut today when she meets the show's bosses to discuss her contract for this year's series. The reality TV star, who is due to give birth in July, is to be replaced by guest judges during the live auditions because of her pregnancy. Whilst bosses are keen to keep her in the show when she is able to return, they are set to cut down her contract by as much as £300,000 according to The Mirror.
A source told the paper: "This meeting is the first step to getting Dannii back on the show. If a solution can be worked out she will be here again at the live stages. We are very, very keen for her to come back so at this stage, it doesn’t look like her pregnancy is going to present any problems we can’t work around."
Stars rumoured to cover for Dannii while she is away include Robbie Williams, Mel B, Ronan Keating and Paula Abdul.
Pregnant Dannii Minogue has agreed a £700,000 deal to return to X Factor, telling friends: “I’m so excited”.
Radiant Dannii, 38, met producers in London yesterday to discuss how she would juggle appearing on the show and becoming a new mum.
She is due to give birth in July as the live auditions are under way.
An X Factor source said: “After the last series finished there was a lot of confusion as to whether Dannii would stay or not.
“However it became clear just how popular she was.
“The talks went really well and Dannii is set to start after the birth of her baby and when the live shows begin in September.
“Dannii is delighted. She has a baby on the way, a loving boyfriend and now a new TV deal.”
Although Dannii’s new contract has yet to be signed, both parties have agreed in principal. It will see her previous £1million contract cut by around £300,000 as she will unable to attend the auditions due to her pregnancy.
Dannii and boyfriend Kris Smith are planning for the baby to be bron in Melbourne. The X Factor live rounds normally begin in late September, giving her two months to recover. Replacements for Dannii during the audition rounds are yet to be confirmed.
But as The Mirror exclusively revealed last month, sister Kylie is high on the TV bosses’ wish-list.
An ITV source added: “We love Dannii and everyone wants her back on The X Factor. It just wouldn’t be the same without her.” And Dannii won’t be the only one making a comeback.
Determined wannabe Emma Chawner is hoping it will be third time lucky – despite two humiliating put-downs by judge Simon Cowell in previous auditions.
The high-pitched singer has put herself forward yet again and will appear at Manchester’s Old Trafford for one of the show’s early rounds.
Emma first auditioned back in 2007, wearing a dress made by her dad. She was rubbished by panel after singing the Titanic theme tune, My Heart Will Go On.
Simon said she sang “like a baby” – sparking the fury of the tubby star’s family who said she had won competitions. Last year Emma turned up to duet with her sister.
After screeching through a rendition of Whole Again by Atomic Kitten, they were stopped by an infuriated Simon who said: “It was arguably twice as bad as before. You can’t sing”
Emma, who later blamed her weight for her poor performance, pleaded: “Give us a chance to improve.”
But Simon replied: “We have weeks – not decades.”

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has revealed that she would love to appear as a guest judge on The X Factor this year.
The former Hear'Say singer, now best known for playing Weatherfield's Michelle Connor, discussed her ambition following reports that a variety of stars will be recruited to fill in for pregnant Dannii Minogue at the auditions.
Writing in her New magazine column, Marsh explained: "I read that Simon Cowell is thinking about having a guest judge to sit in for Dannii Minogue at each regional audition for The X Factor. I would really love to be considered as a stand-in at the Manchester rounds!"
She continued: "In fact, I bumped into Louis Walsh - who I get on very well with - at the Fashion Kicks show, and told him I'd jump at the chance to be involved in the show. So I'm hoping he'll put in a good word for me!"
Marsh has previously described a permanent place on The X Factor panel as her "dream job".
Simon Cowell will not receive a salary increase when he renews his contract with ITV, a report has claimed.
The music mogul's £20 million 'golden handcuffs' arrangement with the broadcaster expired in December, but he is expected to finalise plans for a new deal this week.
According to the Daily Mail, Cowell's main priority is to ensure that more money is spent on The X Factor in order to improve the contest's live shows.
A source told the newspaper: "Simon is not getting a pay rise. He is more concerned about the budget being raised for The X Factor to make sure it returns bigger and better."
Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole is apparently not receiving a £700,000 salary boost for her work on the programme, despite previous rumours.
The insider added: "Cowell has not given Cheryl such a big pay increase. He adores Cheryl, but she realises that this year, Simon wants the show to be great and needs more money to be spent on production for the viewers at home."
Outrageous pop queen LADY GAGA is to make a sensational return to The X Factor as a guest replacement for mumto-be judge DANNII MINOGUE.
She has agreed to adjudicate at the live auditions stage - making them even more ga ga.
The Poker Face singer - real name STEFANI GERMANOTTA, 24 - will be paid around £110,000 and a source confirmed: "It's now a case of dotting the Is and crossing the Ts.
"Simon Cowell and everyone involved knows just how much of a ratings draw Lady GaGa will be."
The star, who performed in Tokyo last week, right, appeared on last year's show wearing a metallic outfit with devil horns, singing her single Bad Romance on a toilet. Now bosses are keen to line up other star names to cover until Dannii, 37, returns. She is expecting her child with KRIS SMITH in July.
Cowell's American Idol co-judge PAULA ABDUL, 47, and former Spice Girl MEL B, 34, have been approached but VICTORIA BECKHAM, 36, will not be appearing when the ITV1 show returns to our screens in August. The auditions stage started two weeks ago.
Last week I told how ITV chiefs were close to completing a deal to screen it after months of negotiations with Cowell, 50.
He drafted in tough negotiator SIR PHILIP GREEN, 58, and has now won an extra £5 million investment in production costs - believing the previous series had begun to look dated.
The source added: "With the likes of Lady GaGa lined up ITV will be getting their money's worth, even with the extra."
The People
Lee Ryan has claimed that he should be on the judging panel for The X Factor.
The 'Secret Love' singer, who lauded the talent show for being a "great platform", said that he has a "wealth of experience" to give to contestants.
"As far as X Factor goes, I was saying how great I think it is. It's a great platform for people these days and there's a lot more opportunity for people to get into the industry and different avenues for people to take with the internet," he told STV.
"You can think outside the box and market yourself and that's literally all I was saying. I would love to do something like that because I think I have had a wealth of experience so far in this industry.
"I've survived a lot longer than a lot of people out there and I think that you see a lot of people come and go and I've been in the industry so long now that I would love to give some help."

don't you just love the way celebs think they can get a job on the xfactor by just mentioning they'd like to do it in a interview?
Sexy Caroline Flack has been lined up to replace Holly Willoughby as presenter of The Xtra Factor - after Simon Cowell personally ‘interviewed’ her for the job.
ITV favourite Caroline, 29, is expected to sign a deal to front the hit ITV2 show next week.
Currently she on TV on Saturday nights on primetime show The Whole 19 Yards co-hosting with Vernon Kay, and has fronted the ITV2 spin off for I’m A Celebrity.
She was the channel bosses top choice for Xtra Factor, but before getting a contract she had to fly over to meet Simon Cowell in L.A to make sure she fitted the bill.
A show source said: "Caroline is flavour of the moment at ITV and they are very keen for her to do the job.
"But Simon has the final say on everything on The X Factor so he has taken the opportunity to spend some time in the company of Caroline.
"It was not a formal office interview, but basically she was being checked out for the job and was quizzed by Cowell about her ambitions and what she would bring to the series.
"He was impressed so it looks like she will be the new host."
Caroline mentioned she was in America on her twitter account at the weekend.
She said: "Thank you for all your really kind messages. I’m currently in LA for work.
"I love la! Today, pool, meeting then shoppidy shop shop."
A front page story in a celebrity magazine yesterday linking Christine Bleakley with the job and a £200,000 salary are thought to be well wide of the mark.
Whilst ITV are still very keen to work with her, she would not leave the BBC for a show on ITV2 and is instead looking to primetime shows on BBC1 or ITV1 to further her career.
Despite being on ITV2, The Xtra Factor job is considered a big one by TV agents and presenters. Previous hosts Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby have both gone on to bigger and better things with Fearne on Radio 1 and Holly hosting This Morning.
An ITV source added: "This could be Caroline’s big chance to become a stand out presenter.
"She is keeping everything crossed that she did enough to impress Simon."
Louis Walsh has reportedly admitted that he was unhappy when he realised that his Tango tan wipes deal would require three days' work.
The X Factor judge was this week unveiled as the new face of the soft drink firm's 'Fake Tan-go' product, which is to be sold in Superdrug stores nationwide.
As part of his contract, Walsh posed for a series of publicity photographs showing him covered in fake tan - but he was apparently stunned when the photoshoot was extended for two extra days.
He is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "They offered me £30,000 to do the Tango deal and I said yes because I thought it would be one day. But it turned out to be three f**king days. I would never do it again."
Walsh will start work on a new series of The X Factor next month.

'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole has reportedly thrown the show into chaos by refusing to sign her new contract.
The Daily Star claims the Girls Aloud star is so scared that another babe will put her in the shade she is demanding to know who will be on the panel.
The singer also wants a promise pregnant judge Dannii Minogue will not be permanently replaced.
The 38-year-old Aussie will miss out on the auditions stage when it starts next month.
Producers plan to have guest judges to fill in for her alongside 50-year-old Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, 57.
A show source said: "It's getting very close to the start of The X Factor auditions and Cheryl has not yet signed on the dotted line.
"It would ruin her 'X Factor' experience not to have another 'girly girl' like Dannii to laugh and joke with and gang up with against the lads.
"There's been talk about Mel B whom Cheryl is quite frightened of.
She is also mindful of the fact any youngsters may try to upstage her in the fashion stakes."
All the judges are reportedly set for a showdown meeting at Simon Cowell's London mansion next week.
Dannii, who is back in Australia and due to give birth in July, will join them via a conference call.
Kylie Minogue has admitted that she was offered to fill in for sister Dannii on The X Factor - but she turned it down. Skip related content
The pop princess said she thought it would get "messy" if she stood in as a judge on the talent show while Dannii goes on maternity leave later this year.
She told The Sun: "I couldn't possibly do it for two reasons. The first is simply that the timings don't work out with my new album coming out. But also - and more importantly - this is Dannii's thing. It would all have become really messy if I'd taken over."
Kylie added that she was proud of her sister for standing up to critics of her judging style.
"She went through two years of criticism and had to endure everyone putting her down the whole time.
"But she remained herself throughout and that's what I'm most proud of. She was completely consistent," Kylie said.

Geri Halliwell is expected to add some extra spice to The X Factor by stepping in as a guest judge.
The 37-year-old singer is understood to be standing in for pregnant Dannii Minogue at auditions in Glasgow on Wednesday.
Geri was previously a judge on Popstars: The Rivals, which discovered X Factor judge Cheryl Cole and her Girls Aloud bandmates.
It is thought that the Spice Girl will stay for just one day of auditions but could return in the future.
Konnie Huq was confirmed as the new host of The Xtra Factor, when the series returns later in the summer.
Dannii Minogue has sent a message of support to Geri Halliwell and the latest batch of X Factor hopefuls ahead of the show's launch today.
The latest search for UK singing talent will kick off this afternoon in Glasgow, where Halliwell is expected to be the first guest judge of the series.
Writing on Twitter this morning, Minogue said: "Go Geri! Give em some 'spice' at the X Factor auditions in Glasgow today. Good luck to everyone who's auditioning."
It is thought that a number of other guest panellists will join Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole throughout the audition process because Minogue is taking maternity leave.
Reports say that the Australian star will return for the judges' houses round and live shows later this year.
Pixie Lott will be the next guest judge to fill in for Dannii Minogue on The X Factor, a report has claimed.
According to The Sun, the 19-year-old 'Mama Do' singer will join the panel when the auditions move to Birmingham on Monday.
A source told the newspaper: "Pixie may be young but she's not afraid to speak her mind. She's only been in the charts for just over a year but she already sounds like a pro.
"And unlike a lot of pop acts these days, she's happy singing live so is well qualified to judge the wannabes."
It is thought that Simon Cowell decided to recruit Lott after she impressed him with her guest performance on Britain's Got Talent last week.
This year's X Factor auditions kicked off in Glasgow yesterday with Geri Halliwell taking the place of Minogue, who is currently on maternity leave.
WENNGeri Halliwell was booed by X Factor fans when she appeared as a guest judge at auditions in Glasgow this week, reports have claimed.
According to The Mirror, the former Spice Girl angered audience members by refusing to put through a singer named Katie who had proved popular with the crowd. It is thought that Halliwell had the casting vote after the budding star was backed by Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh but rejected by Simon Cowell.
A source told the newspaper: "Geri had the chance to please the crowd and many were shouting Katie's name. But Geri ignored them and turned Katie down, causing the crowd to go crazy.
"Eventually they invited Katie back to try again, but Geri was judged to be the executioner and she never recovered from that."
Meanwhile, the Daily Star claims that Halliwell also annoyed fans by adopting a "mean" judging style, prompting a chant of "Bring back Dannii! Bring back Dannii!" in reference to absent panellist Dannii Minogue.
Halliwell was the first of several guests to stand in for Minogue while she takes maternity leave. Pixie Lott has been tipped to take over the post in Birmingham on Monday.
SINGER Natalie Imbruglia will replace her fellow Aussie Dannii Minogue at the next X Factor auditions in Birmingham.
She follows ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell - who was a stand-in at Glasgow this week and was BOOED when she failed to put through a fancied local singer.
Natalie who will also be a judge on the Aussie X Factor, was drafted in after Pixie Lott pulled out of filming in Birmingham due to a diary clash.
Pixie will be a judge later in the series. US singer Katy Perry will also appear later on, sitting alongside regulars Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.
Dannii, who is on maternity leave ahead of having her first baby next month, will return to the show in the autumn for the judges' house stage.

Six singers who made it to the judges' house stage of 'The X Factor' in 2008 and 2009 have made it through the first round of this year's auditions.
Treyc Cohen, Liam Payne and four-piece band Harmony Hood were all successful at Monday's auditions in Birmingham, reports The Sun.
Liam Payne and Treyc Cohen had previously made it into Simon Cowell's final six in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
After flying him out to Barbados in 2008 to perform ‘Cry Me A River’, Simon decided not to pick Liam, who was 15 at the time, saying that he was 'too young'.
However, this week Simon reportedly said: "This goes to prove my point. Two years ago I said you needed to go away for a little bit. You've changed into a man and are so much better for it."
Meanwhile, Simon told Treyc, who he rejected last year: "I didn't think you quite had it last year but this year I think you have."
Harmony Hood, who were axed in favour of Jedward by Louis Walsh last year, were also successful after returning as a new six-piece band called New Status.
Alexandra Burke has sparked rumours that she could join the lineup of stars who are standing in for pregnant Dannii Minogue on The X Factor.
The 21-year-old, who won the show's 2008 series, set tongues wagging by claiming that she was unable to confirm or deny whether she will appear on the panel this year.
Speaking to Metro, Burke commented: "I'd love to be a judge on The X Factor. I would really love to. But I can't really comment on that.
"It would be great. I love the show. But I'm not sure what's going to happen. It's up to Simon [Cowell] at the end of the day. It's all in the future."
Cowell has already recruited Geri Halliwell, Natalie Imbruglia, Pixie Lott and Katy Perry as temporary replacements for Minogue, who is taking maternity leave until the Judges' Houses stage in the autumn.
Burke had previously denied reports linking her to Minogue's empty seat.
Former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan has revealed that she would love to land a judging role on The X Factor.
The 25-year-old confessed that she dreams of working alongside music mogul Simon Cowell after branding him "sexy" in the past.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Buchanan admitted: "I'd love to work on The X Factor. Me and Simon go way back. We get on great."
The star is currently working on her debut solo album after being ousted from Sugababes last September.
She added: "My solo music is going really well. My pal Leona [Lewis] has been supporting me. I'm playing her some tracks. I'm back, so everyone better watch out."
Buchanan's album is expected to arrive later this year.
Ive applied for tickets for the auditions, I hope I get them :)
Former X Factor star Johnny Lloyd has reportedly returned to the show four years after being axed for rule-breaking.
Lloyd, 29, was once part of the boyband Avenue, who were kicked off by programme bosses in 2006 after failing to tell producers that they already had a management deal with pop mogul Ashley Tabor.
According to The Sun, the budding star re-auditioned in London this week as part of a new band called Princes and Rogues. Following a performance of Saturdays hit 'Forever Is Over', the group are said to have been put through to Boot Camp with 'yes' votes from Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
A source said: "Johnny was elated to go through, although the band know they need a lot of work. Cheryl [Cole] said they didn't have enough swagger for a boyband and Louis, although he put them through, admitted he was disappointed and expects more."
It is thought that Lloyd put his new group together after advertising for members on Facebook.
Simon Cowell has sparked speculation that Cheryl Cole has ditched her married name after introducing her as Cheryl Tweedy at the X Factor auditions.
According to The Mirror, the music mogul surprised audience members at London's Excel Centre on Tuesday night by appearing to confirm that Cheryl is now using her maiden name.
Cowell reportedly said: "Who would like to hear from Cheryl... Tweedy? It is, now, isn't it?"
It is thought that the crowd of fans were excited by Cowell's comment and immediately rose to their feet to applaud Cheryl.
One onlooker, 21-year-old Kate Gibbs, explained: "The support for her was immense. When Simon announced her as Cheryl Tweedy the whole place went up. Cheryl was beaming. It was as if a new chapter in her life had just started and she looked happier than ever."
Cheryl filed for divorce from husband Ashley last month. The pair separated in February following claims that Ashley had been repeatedly unfaithful.
I thought she had been using Tweedy for a while now
A pregnant X Factor hopeful turned up at an audition on Thursday, despite being mere days away from giving birth.
According to The Sun, judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole were stunned when the 35-year-old contestant called Stacey walked on stage sporting a huge baby bump.
Stacey, who made it through to the Boot Camp stage of the competition in 2008, failed to make a good first impression with Cowell, after he criticised her for emphasising the deaths of numerous friends and family members in the past year.
"I don't think you should be talking about losing people when you've got a baby on the way," he said. "It's a bit depressing."
Cowell was eventually won over by Stacey's rendition of En Vogue's 'Don't Let Go', as he, Walsh and Cole sent her through to Boot Camp for a second time.
CHERYL Cole will NOT be changing her last name back to Tweedy, say sources.
The Girls Aloud singer, 26 - soon to divorce love rat footballer hubby Ashley Cole - was said to have been shocked when X Factor boss Simon Cowell used her maiden name earlier this week.
Introducing judge Cheryl at London auditions, he said: "Who would like to hear from Cheryl . . . Tweedy?"
But a source close the star said: "Cheryl had no idea Simon was going to say that. It wasn't planned and she was shocked."
The source added: "She's Cheryl Cole now and has spent years building up a successful brand - she's not prepared to turn her back on it. Tweedy doesn't feel right."
NOTW
Geri Halliwell is feeling disappointed over the backlash she allegedly received during her stint as an X Factor guest judge, a report has claimed.
The former Spice Girl stood in for Dannii Minogue at the Glasgow auditions earlier this month, but she was reportedly booed and heckled throughout the day.
According to Now magazine, the setback hit Halliwell hard as she had hoped to land a permanent place on the panel or a position on the forthcoming US X Factor.
A source told the publication: "She was really excited when Simon Cowell asked her to guest judge. She'd expressed interest in this role ages ago and seemed to be pinning everything on it. But her appearance turned into a disaster and she's gutted."
The insider added: "She tried playing the baddie judge, but only Simon Cowell has the charisma to get away with that. She made too many ill-thought out comments and failed to gauge the audience's mood."
Natalie Imbruglia and Katy Perry have also appeared as guests on the panel this month.
Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger is to join the X Factor judging panel at the Manchester auditions next week.
The singer, who won Dancing With The Stars earlier this year, will join Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole for three days of talent scouting in the north of England.
Scherzinger is the latest popstar to take a guest spot on the ITV1 reality show, following on from Katy Perry, Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia.
Pixie Lott will be the guest judge at the Cardiff auditions, which start on Friday.
Louis Walsh has spoken out to praise Katy Perry following the star's stint as a guest judge on The X Factor.
Perry became the third guest panellist to fill in for pregnant Dannii Minogue on Monday when the show's auditions reached Dublin.
Speaking to the Evening Herald, Walsh explained that the singer did an "amazing job" in the role.
He added: "She was fantastic, she was one of the best guest judges we've ever had."
The boyband manager also said that he was excited over the standard of Irish talent on the day, singling out a girl called Rebecca and a 50-year-old Tallaght resident named Mary as ones to watch.
Walsh said: "Rebecca was brilliant, she came back especially from a wedding in Spain to be there and she was great. Another one who was exceptional was a lady from Tallaght who blew everyone away."
Ooo I looking forward to see when she is a judge :D
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has been revealed as the final guest judge on this year's 'X Factor'.
The singer will stand in for Dannii Minogue when the auditions reach Manchester, reports The Sun.
Her place on the panel could cause fireworks with fellow judge Cheryl Cole as the Girls Aloud star slagged off Nicole in an interview several years ago.
Back then Cheryl said that Nicole was nowhere near as good as the likes of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, before adding: "I don't think she stands out at all."
An ‘X Factor’ insider told the paper: "We like to mix it up a bit on the panel as it can create some tension.
"Hopefully there won't be any scratching or hair pulling by Cheryl and Nicole."
Nicole is the fifth guest star who has appeared at this year's auditions in place of pregnant judge Dannii.
She follows Geri Halliwell, Natalie Imbruglia, Katy Perry and Pixie Lott.
Dannii Minogue's contestants on this year's X Factor will be flown out to her home in Australia to allow the judge more time to be with her newborn baby, it has been revealed.
The 38-year-old, who is currently pregnant with partner Kris Smith, has been forced to miss the audition stage of the competition but has apparently been allowed to bring the final six acts in her group to her Melbourne home.
“No-one wanted Dannii to have to rush back to England for the last stages, so this seemed the perfect solution," a source told The Mirror. "Dannii can stay close to her baby during the judges’ homes sections.
“She won’t need to be back in the UK until the lives finals around October. By that time her baby will be old enough to fly.”
However, the source warned Minogue's acts against complacency, saying: "This won't be a holiday. They'll travel for 24 hours then have to sing their hearts out."
The news follows Minogue and Smith's decision to move home for the birth of their child.
The X Factor will include a new wild card voting twist this year, according to reports.
Simon Cowell's close friend Sinitta revealed the information to Daily Star Sunday reporter James Ingham, who wrote about the plans on Twitter.
"Sinitta has revealed four wild cards will go straight into the X Factor finals chosen by the public online. Not the judges," said Ingham.
"Think she's opened her big mouth too soon again! Not sure that's out yet... It is now!"
He added later: "Apparently my tweet about Sinitta is causing major headaches for the X Factor team! Don't shoot the messenger."
It is rumoured that Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole will only get to pick two of the acts they want to mentor at the live shows. The public will allegedly be able to vote for the third act in each category - Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups.
Similar wild card twists have been used on American Idol and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Over The Rainbow.
The X Factor returns in August to ITV1.
Sinitta has revealed that Simon Cowell is furious with her after she launched a wildcard challenge for The X Factor without his permission.
Speaking to The Mirror, the 'So Macho' singer admitted that she may not be able to appear as a guest judge as planned, after a PR woman for the show allegedly cautioned her.
"She said the team were very angry and upset with me and that I had not done myself any favours," the star said.
"I know Simon is angry. He's been angry with me before but never like this in all the nearly 30 years I have known him. He usually rings and it's the call you dread."
Explaning her intentions, she added: "I am passionate about the show and I just wanted to help. I was just trying to help the thousands of hopefuls who never get on to The X Factor. I thought this was an opportunity for people to do it online, to upload their thing so everyone gets seen.
"I think Simon is upset because The X Factor is upset. It is a big brand and they want to protect the brand. I am sorry, Simon. If they don't want me on X Factor, I have to accept that."
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the show said of Sinitta's website: "It has absolutely nothing to do with The X Factor."
Sharon Osbourne has admitted that she would not be interested in returning to The X Factor for a stint as a guest judge.
The music manager, who quit the panel two years ago, confirmed that she will not be joining the long line of female stars who have been filling in for pregnant Dannii Minogue this year.
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Osbourne remarked: "X Factor was a great part of my life but for me professionally I have to keep going forward.
"Even if they offered me £10 million I wouldn't go back now."
The 57-year-old also ruled out appearing on a revamped Britain's Got Talent panel amid uncertainty surrounding Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell's involvement in next year's series.
She said: "I'm too busy for that - I haven't got time."

Cheryl Tweedy has been forced to pull out of the X Factor boot camp stages as she continues to battle with a lethal strain of malaria.
X Factor boss Simon Cowell will now be down by two judges for the selection process as Dannii Minogue recovers from giving birth to baby boy Ethan last week.
Cheryl fans eager to see her perform at V Festival will also face further misery, as the star has been forced to cancel a string of live dates - including the festival in Chelmsford - over the next few months as she attempts to make a full recovery.
The good news is her condition is slowly improving after she spent three days in intensive care last week.
Cheryl is believed to have contracted the lethal illness on holiday in Tanzania with Derek Hough last month. Doctors initially thought she was suffering from exhaustion, but after a series of urgent tests, diagnosed her with the fatal disease.

Eer I don't think anyone has actually asked her??
Exactly! silly cow!
Diana Vickers has said that she would love to perform on The X Factor as a musician in her own right.
The singer exited the contest in the semi-final in 2008 and told Bang Showbiz that she would relish a live return on the show.
Vickers said: "In terms of now, I'm not an X Factor contestant, I’m my own artist and I want to kind of be pulled away and be my own artist instead of being an ex-X Factor contestant.
"I just want to be known as Diana now. But I'd love to perform and go back. I get butterflies just thinking about it. To go back and be in a totally different position and not be judged - although I'd still think I was. I could help this year's hopefuls."
Speaking to the Daily Mail about her first ever performance in front of the judges, Vickers admitted to being transfixed by show boss Simon Cowell
"Ironically, I didn't even watch The X Factor," she continued, "partly because I have too much energy to sit at home watching telly on a Saturday night and partly because a tiny part of me was jealous that the contestants were doing what I wanted so desperately to do."
CORRIE character Kirk Sutherland was among the hopefuls at the last night of the X Factor auditions.

But although actor Andy Whyment was in character at the Manchester auditions, show bosses remained tight-lipped about his appearance - insisting it was for a stunt and NOT for a storyline.
But the real story of the night was judge Cheryl Cole's ill health.

POP group Scouting For Girls have revealed they've been approached by the producers of Emmerdale to join the show.
Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard are such huge fans of the farming soap they've already played an acoustic set in the Woolpack for a local radio station.
But now they're crossing their fingers that they'll actually get to be on the ITV1 show.
"The best idea so far is that our tour bus breaks down as it's passing through the village," say the lads.
"Our all-time favourite character is Seth - and we all loved it when that plane crashed and wiped out half the cast."

JORDAN says she's desperate to join the X Factor - and judging from her huge trout pout she would fit right in with the plastic surgery fans on the panel.
The glamour girl, real name Katie Price, was snapped with over-inflated lips which could rival Leslie Ash's after her infamous botched procedure as she left the Radio 1 studios this morning.
But the mum-of-three, who regularly gets Botox, appeared to be proud of her freaky, plumped-up smackers and drew attention to them by wearing bright red lippy.
Since jetting back form her honeymoon with Alex Reid in Thailand earlier this week, Katie, 32, has declared that she is the person to save the X Factor.
With a malaria-stricken Cheryl Cole absent until later this year there is an available slot on the panel - although Katie has admitted to not being able to sing well.
She told a newspaper: "I think everyone wants to be a judge on that show. Simon (Cowell) knows where I am.
"I'm honest but some people will say, 'Why's she's doing it? What's she got to do with it? Blah, blah'. But I've still got ears and can still hear things and can see looks."
She added: "I've had my fair share, 13 years in the industry. My whole job is about looks and what other people look like - I still have a fair opinion."
And looking at Katie today, she clearly has similar opinions on cosmetic surgery as some of the other X Factor judges.
Louis Walsh, 57, went under the knife last year to get rid of his eye bags, while Simon Cowell, 50, is a Botox fan and has had his teeth whitened.
New mum Dannii Minogue, 38, has also had Botox in the past, as well as a boob job and a nose job and Cheryl Cole has veneers on her teeth.

 I hope we never see her sitting there as a judge
STAND-IN X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger could have some competition - in newly-formed Husstle.
The foursome are aiming to become the first girlband to win the show - then want to rival the Pussycat Dolls in the charts.
They could come face-to-face with Nicole who is filling in for malaria-hit Cheryl Cole, at the Boot Camp stage.
Husstle are already popular online - with 1,300 fans joining their Facebook group.
They say on the website: "Hope the world is ready for it! Husstle mania beckons!"
The band - Carol Mounsey, 29, Stacey Camps, 26, Jessica Kozi, 25, and Alannah Maggs, 18 - formed only in January after meeting at a performing arts centre in Bradford, where Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson also honed his dance skills.
Stacey is an X Factor veteran after getting through to the judges' houses stage in 2006.
She competed against Leona Lewis at Simon Cowell's mansion in Miami.
Carol, who put the band together, said: "We are like the Pussycat Dolls, but we also write our own music.
"I'd describe our music as funky pop, quite commercial, with a strong element of street dance. I think the X Factor needs a girlband to win."
The girls don't lack confidence, with their Facebook group titled Husstle ... The Only Girlband You'll Be Talking About in 2010.
They have worked with top producers behind artists such as Alesha Dixon and Sugababes.
Girl groups have famously done badly in The X Factor, with none ever reaching the final three acts.
Last year X-rated band Kandy Rain were the first to leave the live shows, while the other female group Miss Frank made their exit just two weeks later.

Will someone be taking over from Cheryl?
Will someone be taking over from Cheryl?
No need she is doing the judges house part in the UK as she cant travel so no exotic location for her contestants this year
JLS will present an hour-long show immediately after this year's X Factor final, it has been revealed.
The 'One Shot' group will perform a mixture of their hits and new material from their forthcoming second album.
A source told The Sun: "JLS are the only boyband anyone is interested in right now. It's a coup for ITV to sign them.
"If anyone had told the lads two years ago they would be shown on the night of the X Factor finals they would not have believed it."
It was recently rumoured that Jay-Z is planning to help launch JLS's music career in America.
The first ever official X Factor magazine has been confirmed for launch this September.
The long-rumoured title will be published by Haymarket Network under licence from FremantleMedia Enterprises and Syco Entertainment, Music Week reports.
FME UK senior vice president of licensing Dominic Burns said: "There is a gap in the market for a magazine that celebrates the world of pop and provides an in-depth insight into the world of The X Factor."
Haymarket Network promises behind-the-scenes access, celebrity news and gossip and fashion and beauty features. Recruitment for The X Factor Magazine is currently ongoing.
The publisher's managing director Andrew Taplin added that the title would be aimed at the women's weekly market, explaining: "The women's weekly category is very vibrant at the moment and the launch of this magazine will provide it a further significant boost."
The X Factor Magazine will be exclusive to Tesco on launch before getting wider distribution.
X FACTOR is trying to shed its cheesy image and get some street cred, TV Biz can reveal.
The show's bosses are dumping the usual parade of naff boybands and hair-extension-obsessed divas.
No softies ... Westlife clones will be shown the X-it
No softies ... Westlife clones will be shown the X-it
And they have declared war on a trial of wannabes whose main talent is for telling sob stories about their tough upbringing.
Instead, they want quirky, gritty singing sensations rather than light-pop doubles of Westlife.
And they claim that the only hopefuls to get through to the boot camp stage this year will be those who could have a "genuine career".
Lightweights
A source told TV Biz yesterday: "There was a time when people wanted to see someone who has had a difficult life get a No1 Christmas hit.
"But that climate has completely changed. People want an artist that is going to keep producing."
The X man cometh ... Simon Cowell's getting tough-er
The X man cometh ... Simon Cowell's getting tough-er
The insider added: "It's the seventh year and it needed to change.
"The climate is completely different to when Leon Jackson won it in 2007.
"JLS have set the standard of what can be achieved. They proved that an X Factor finalist can make the jump to being proper recording artists with a long career ahead of them."
To weed out lightweights and big-ballad wailers, contestants trying to make it to boot camp had to prove they could take on modern, edgy sounds.
Wannabes were told to audition to gutsy songs like Bad Romance by Lady GaGa, Eliza Doolittle's Pack Up or Corinne Bailey Rae's Like A Star.
TV Biz got a sneak preview of the boot camp stage of this year's ITV1 hit yesterday at London's Wembley Arena - and we discovered that even contestants' LOOKS have changed.
Gone were the perma-tans and dodgy hair extensions of past seasons.
Caked-on layers of slap were also out, except on BLOKES.
And the theme hairdo of the year this time round looks set to be a pretty wicked quiff.

Even the groups - notoriously cheese-filled in past years - seem to be showing signs of cool. Previous years have featured acts like cheesemonger brother and sister duo Same Difference.
But this time they include a funky girlband - miraculously minus the stilettos and matching frocks favoured by the usual Girls Aloud pretenders.
Striking
And a quirky trio of two girls and a guy have a 1950s style that would have seemed out of place in previous, poppier years.
But there are also powerful acts in the other categories, making this year look like it could be the strongest series yet.
And the all-important sex factor looks likely to be provided by a striking solo singer who looks like a young Gwen Stefani. But fans of the traditional X Factor oddballs will not be disappointed.
Happily there are still a couple of acts treading the line between eccentric and certifiable.
One desperado announced to the talent show's head judge Simon Cowell that he had decided to give himself five years in which to make it as a superstar.
He added dramatically that he is prepared to "Die for my art".
Unimpressed Simon, 50, replied: "Perhaps you could just break an arm instead."

Christine Bleakley will take over the reins of The X Factor next year as part of her new £4million deal with ITV.
The 31-year-old presenter is being lined up by Simon Cowell and producers on the television talent show to replace host Dermot O'Leary, the Daily Mail has learned.
The former One Show co-host, who left her £90,000-a-year job with the BBC, will be reunited with Adrian Chiles on the revamped ITV breakfast programme Daybreak on September 6.
A senior television source told the Mail; 'Dermot has made it clear that he would like to move to America full time. '
'His girlfriend Dee Kopang is already working as a TV producer in Los Angeles, so he would like to try his luck in Hollywood. He is already spending the majority of his time out there with Dee, so it would make sense.'
Last night, a source close to O'Leary stressed: 'Dermot loves the X Factor and has no plans to leave. If he did get the X Factor USA job, he would travel between London and LA, just like Simon Cowell, who will appear on both versions.'
O'Leary, 37, who launched his career as a Channel 4 teen show host and also presents his own Radio 2 programme, took over his X Factor duties after Kate Thornton was axed in 2007.
He signed up for at least two series on a £1million-a-year deal.

He has been outspoken about his bid to front the U.S. X Factor when it launches on Fox next year, admitting he would do anything to get on that show - 'but I think Simon will go with an American presenter. It's a bummer'.
Miss Bleakley is already a paparazzi favourite - hosting the X-factor would make her well-nigh unavoidable

There is still a chance O'Leary will front the show. X Factor judge Cheryl Cole had been tipped for a judge's role in the U.S. and Louis Walsh is also in the frame.
But it is understood that Cowell, 50, does not want the show to be too 'Brit heavy'.
Miss Bleakley's X Factor commitment may spell the end of her time on Daybreak.
An insider revealed: 'No one is sure how Christine will cope with the 3.30am wake-up call for very long. '
'Everyone's smart money is on Adrian and Christine hosting for up to a year before moving on.'
Miss Bleakley, who is in a relationship with England and Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard, had already been linked with The Xtra Factor presenting job on ITV2.
Konnie Huq has taken over the spin-off show and a source said: 'Christine was never going to host The Xtra Factor, but she has always been a fan of the show.'

The X Factor has replaced the over-25s category with an over-28s group instead, it has been revealed.
Guest Boot Camp judge Nicole Scherzinger apparently persuaded Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh to make the change because the quality of the older singers was so high.
A source told The Sun: "There are normally twice as many under-25 singers as over, but with some of the best acts being in their mid-20s this year, they wanted to make sure they didn't lose them."
An X Factor spokesman confirmed: "At Nicole's suggestion, and agreed by Simon and Louis, the boys' and girls' category age limit has been increased to 28.
"The judges believe this will strengthen the competition and talent."
In addition, there will now be eight acts progressing to the Judges' Houses stage of the show, instead of the usual six.
It is also rumoured that four acts from each category will move on to the live shows, creating a record total of 16 finalists.
Danielle Lineker is reportedly being lined up for a golden handcuffs deal with ITV, because of Simon Cowell.
The X Factor judge thinks that Lineker has the "sex factor", reports the Daily Star.
Cowell is now said to be considering finding the 31-year-old roles on both The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.
Lineker could also take over ITV2 spin-off The Xtra Factor.
The Hells Kitchen star recently fronted a BBC Three documentary about being a step-mother.

SNOOTY music fans have launched a campaign to stop this year's X Factor winner topping the charts at Christmas - they want SILENCE to hit No1 instead.
They are urging record buyers to snap up John Cage's pretentious sound-free "composition" called 4' 33" as soon as the talent show winner's single is released.
It is hoped the ploy will be as successful as last year's campaign, which saw X Factor champ Joe McElderry kept from No1 by Rage Against The Machine.
American Cage, who died in 1992, wrote the four minute, 33 second piece in 1952.
It is meant to be "played" by musicians who do not touch their instruments - so the audience listen to incidental noises around the room, like raindrops falling on the roof.
More than 3,000 people have so far backed the campaign on Facebook.
Last year, the ITV1 hit's boss Simon Cowell, 50, initially called the anti-X Factor Christmas campaign "spiteful".
But when the rebels won the top chart position ahead of Joe, 19, he congratulated them.

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to release tracks of the live X Factor performances each week.
Cowell wants each contestant's performance to be available for immediate download after seeing the success and chart domination of Glee, according to the Daily Star Sunday.
A source said: "Simon is determined to make this year’s show the biggest and the best yet. And he knows the best way to do that is by making each week’s live performances available for fans to download.
"The X Factor could potentially have the number one spot every week for more than three months. In theory, they could take up every spot in the top ten for the majority of the run.
"There’s talk of having 16 finalists this time around instead of 12. And even when it gets down to the end of the show, the singers perform twice, making more songs available for fans. It would make it incredibly hard for any new acts to have an impact on the charts. Even the major artists would think twice about releasing singles in the lucrative run-up to Christmas.
"Nothing has been confirmed or decided at this stage. There’s a lot of things that need to be agreed and arranged before they can pull this off. But Simon knows it would make The X Factor an even bigger machine than it is at the moment.
"The danger is it could start an out-and-out war with people boycotting the show."
Brian Friedman has been accused of being biased toward X Factor hopefuls FYE.
The choreographer, 33, tweeted about the boyband after their performance at Boot Camp, describing them as "truly inspired".
His comments about the five-piece, who were backing dancers on last year's show, have been criticised by rival acts
"FYE were communicating with the choreographers via Twitter," a source told the Daily Star Sunday. "It smacked of favouritism. People were not happy. It looked like certain people were given preferential treatment."
An X Factor insider added: "Brian Friedman has been silly but has learned his lesson."
FYE are among the acts rumoured to have reached the Judges' Houses stage of this year's competition.
X FACTOR boss Simon Cowell has formed TWO new groups from star solo acts at this year's boot camp - to boost the category Cheryl Cole is tipped to mentor.
The music mogul, 50, has made four female soloists into a girl band and five single males into a boy band.
He was helped by stand-in judge and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 32, and long-time judge Louis Walsh, 57.
Their aim is to provide Geordie Cheryl, 27 - recovering from life-threatening malaria - a pool of talent with which to work if she's up to taking on the bands.
Bosses on the ITV1 hit also want to see if Cheryl - who has won with the girls and boys categories - can work her magic on the groups.
An insider said: "Nothing's finalised about who gets which category but if Cheryl's up to dealing with the groups they want to give her the best people to choose from.
"It's a difficult category to get right, but not impossible as JLS showed two years ago."
Cheryl could have her work cut out because the bands, with Louis as mentor, flopped badly last year.
She'll have to mould the brand new boy band - Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles.
The girls - Rebecca Creighton, Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane and Sophia Wardman - are also certain to need a lot of work.
Cheryl and new mum Dannii Minogue will be back for the judges' houses stage.
Eight acts will be entered, instead of the usual six, but only three in each category will go through to the live finals.
Cheryl's illness has seen her miss boot camp and some auditions but she is expected to discuss this year's hopefuls with the other judges soon.
Dannii, at home in Oz with baby Ethan, will also be briefed and sent DVDs of all her acts' auditions before she meets them at the judges' houses stage.
The insider said: "The situation hasn't been ideal this year, but both Cheryl and Dannii are dedicated to the show and their acts.
"There's no way they'll let things slide. Both hate the idea of Simon winning."
X Factor returns later this month.

I think his each mentor should get a group
X Factor producers have come under fire for reportedly signing a deal to guarantee one act safe passage through to the live shows.
A member of the girlband Husstle told other contestants at London's Boot Camp round that her group had already been promised a place in the studio finals, according to The Sun.
A fight is believed to have broken out after the singer apparently claimed that her band's manager Spike Dawbarn, who used to be a member of boyband 911, got a guarantee from Simon Cowell and show producers that the group would make it past both Boot Camp and Judges' Houses.
A source said: "This girl was boasting and winding everyone up about it. They had already been swanning around the place acting like top dogs, so when one of them said they were told they'd be in the final line-up it all kicked off.
"People were screaming and jabbing fingers at each other and some girls even burst into tears. The row got so nasty that producers had to rush in and cool it down."
Cowell's spokeswoman insisted that the claim was "total rubbish".
They always create groups out of the other entries
THE X Factor is set to be axed from our screens.
And the Daily Star can exclusively reveal the show is not being planned into the 2011 schedules.
Auditions will not start in the spring, as they usually do, and they will not be screened next August, when they normally are.
Instead boss Simon Cowell, 50, has ordered a big X Factor shake-up.
This is because he is launching a US version of the show.
X Factor USA is set to air in September 2011 and bosses are desperately trying to avoid clashes with the TV schedules.
The news will anger fans who are so far completely in the dark about the changes.
A show source said: “Every summer viewers look forward to seeing the oddballs and freaks on telly. This is a major blow.”
While the X Factor upheaval was being discussed yesterday Simon was on a sunshine break in northern Italy splashing about on a jet-ski with his fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy, 36. Last night an insider explained: “The plan is for Simon to oversee the US version of X Factor first and foremost.
“He will be based in the States for the auditions in the late spring, which will be broadcast in America in September.
“Simon will fly back to the UK and he will preside over the auditions here next autumn, but they probably won’t be screened for a while.
“The plan is to hold off and launch the British X Factor in 2012. If they do run any episodes in 2011 it will be to trail some auditions before Christmas as a teaser. It’s going to pose a major headache for ITV.”
The show has made stars of the likes of Leona Lewis, 25, Alexandra Burke, 21, and Joe McElderry, 19.
Last night a spokeswoman for Cowell’s company Syco TV said: “We are currently focusing on this year’s series.
“Plans for next year are still being discussed.”
And an ITV source added: “There are many different ways the two shows can co-exist. But the plans are still being thrashed out.”
It will be odd without the X factor for a year
Simon Cowell has reportedly drawn up a list of over-used songs that X Factor contestants are banned from singing.
The judge is worried that viewers will grow bored of hearing the same songs, according to the News of the World. It is also reported that Cowell is becoming irritated by his favourite songs being "murdered" by hopefuls.
Banned songs include Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire' and two tracks by Paolo Nutini. The move is part of a series of on-going changes for the show, after previous clamp downs on sob stories and the recommendation that hopefuls should get dancing lessons.
A source said: "This is about people's real honesty and personality. It's about them and their stage presence."
The list of banned songs is:
Kings of Leon - 'Sex on Fire'
Jason Mraz - 'I'm Yours'
Paolo Nutini - 'Last Request'
Paolo Nutini - 'New Shoes'
Eva Cassidy - 'Songbird'
Snow Patrol - 'Chasing Cars'
The launch date of The X Factor series seven has been confirmed.
Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue will begin their hunt for Britain's next great singing star on Saturday, August 21 at 8.30pm on ITV1.
The Xtra Factor will follow immediately afterwards on ITV2 with new host Konnie Huq.
The first audition shows will feature guest judges including Geri Halliwell, Katy Perry and Natalie Imbruglia, who stood in for Minogue while she was on maternity leave.
This weekend, Huq will host recap show The Xtra Factor: Rewind on ITV2, which will look back at the highs and lows of last year's competition. The presenter will catch up with the former contestants, including winner Joe McElderry, to find out how the show changed their lives, and meet the judges for a preview of this year's series.
I knew it would be soon :) I cant wait I love have something to watch on the weekend

'X Factor' producers have been accused of making a deal with one of the hopeful acts in this year's series of the show, reports The Sun.
A member of girlband Husstle – made up of five females aged 18 to 29 – allegedly told fellow contestants during the 'X Factor' boot camp stage in London that her group had already been guaranteed a place in the live shows.
She reportedly claimed that Simon Cowell had agreed with her band's manager – former boyband member Spike Dawbarn, from 911 – to put Husstle through to the final stage of the competition.
A source told the paper: "This girl was boasting and winding everyone up about it. They had already been swanning around the place acting like top dogs, so when one of them said they were told they'd be in the final line-up it all kicked off.
"People were screaming and jabbing fingers at each other and some girls even burst into tears.
"The row got so nasty that producers had to rush in and cool it down."
The hopeful girlband may have impressed Simon Cowell during the auditions, but a spokesperson for the TV judge dismissed claims of any deal having been made, describing them as "total rubbish".
Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she would have rejected an offer to fill in for Cheryl Cole on The X Factor while she had malaria.
Speaking to Bang Showbiz, the star said that it "wouldn't be appropriate" for her to replace her Girls Aloud bandmate, despite their "similar opinions".
However, she added: "Nicole Scherzinger will be interesting to watch - it's a good way for the public to get to know her better."
Magic Numbers host Stephen Mulhern recently claimed that producers should have asked Walsh before hiring Scherzinger.
Simon Cowell has reportedly hired Take That for a mentoring role on this year's X Factor.
According to OK, the music mogul persuaded the group, who had allegedly been considering a deal for BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, to join the show.
"X Factor has landed the ultimate trophy by getting Take That. We know the BBC wanted them for Strictly," said a source.
"But we've beaten them to it. If the boys had gone for Strictly they’d have been singing while a bunch of dancers pranced around them on the show. At least with X Factor they can use their musical expertise to help the acts."
Robbie Williams, who recently rejoined the 'Back For Good' group, mentored and sang with Olly Murs last year. Meanwhile, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen appeared on the show two years ago during a Take That-themed week.
YAY Im looking forward to seeing Take that :)
X Factor hopeful Katie Waissel has been compared to Jedward after her controversial first audition.
The 24-year-old receptionist, who claims that she has wanted to be famous for her entire life, divides the judges with her performances of 'We Are The Champions' and Etta James's 'At Last'.
Speaking before her audition, the singer, dressed in a Desperately Seeking Susan-era Madonna outfit, says: "I love the '80s, I love Madonna, Freddie Mercury is my idol. I have wanted to be famous for all my life.
"Freddie Mercury is my icon and I love Etta James. Sometimes I wish I was their love child! I want to let the whole world know who I am."
Standing at the side of the stage, her father adds: "She has tried very, very hard and she's been trying very hard for a long time."
Waissel's audition gets off to a shaky start when Simon Cowell tells her not to perform the James track, claiming that it would be boring. However, when she begins to sing the Queen number, she forgets her words and is blasted by Louis Walsh.
"That was very disappointing, Katie. You gave us a big build-up then you were completely unprepared," says the Irish judge.
A desperate Waissel persuades the panel to give her one last chance to sing, performing her original audition track 'At Last'.
Cheryl Cole praises her "quirky style", but Walsh is still not impressed, describing her as "style more than substance". Cowell adds: "You are like a singing scarecrow. If the wind blows you too much in one direction, you will go off the stage." He also warns her that she nearly "threw it all away" with her poor first performance.
Waissel's opening audition has been compared to Irish twins Jedward and 2008 finalist Diana Vickers because of her unusual, kooky style and the divided response from the judges and audience.
Simon Cowell gets impressed by singing waitress Lynne Frances O'Neil in the X Factor launch show.
The youngster performs the Cyndi Lauper hit 'True Colours' for the judges in Glasgow and reveals that she is banned from singing at her workplace.
"I'm a waitress. I sing all the time. They have actually given me a deal at work. I'm not allowed to sing all day on Sunday," she tells the panel.
However, after her performance, Cowell comments: "If I owned the restaurant, I'd have you singing every night of the week. That's a massive yes."
Other acts who impress in the first episode of the seventh series are group Noir, who perform a Glee-esque cover of Lady GaGa's 'Paparazzi', and 21-year-old Mark McGregor, who wows the judges with his rendition of 'If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time'.
Offering his verdict on McGregor, Louis Walsh says: "Sometimes when someone walks on that stage you know that they've got it. Mark, you've got it'."
Simon Cowell has claimed that three-piece J'Ham are the worst ever group to audition on The X Factor.
The trio, who met over the internet, compare themselves to Black Eyed Peas and N-Dubz. However, they fail to impress the judges with their rendition of Lady GaGa's 'Bad Romance' in London, which ends up leaving Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole in a stunned silence.
Speaking about the group's performance, Cowell says: "Do you want me to be honest? Probably the worst group we've ever had on this show. I have genuinely never ever heard anything like that."
When the band ask for a second chance, the judge quickly adds: "No, absolutely... never."
Walsh says: "It was like three cats being strangled down an alleyway. Really, really bad. You were all out of tune."
A tearful Gamuchirai Nhengu stunned the X Factor judges at her audition, which will air in this weekend's opening episode of series seven.
Nhengu, who moved to Scotland from Zimbabwe in 2005, appeared at the Glasgow try-outs, where she sang her own unique version of 'Walking On Sunshine'.
Speaking before her audition, the 18-year-old hopeful explains that she wants to be remembered as "somebody that people talk about", before revealing that she is desperate for a pop career to pay back her single parent mum.
After her performance, Simon Cowell gushes with praise, telling her that she sounds like a "cool old-school jazz singer from the '20s or '30s".
"To be honest with you, that is one of my worst songs ever, but you did something different with it. I really, really, really like you! You are very talented," he adds.
Louis Walsh describes her as "soulful" and "likeable", while Cheryl Cole admits that her performance made her "really excited". Guest judge Geri Halliwell tells a tearful Nhengu that her mum will be "proud" of her performance.

Konnie Huq so out of her depth. Absolutely awful. Sloppy dress, showing bra straps at one point. Utterly banal questions, repetitive and unimaginative. And she had to drag in Bengali. Holly was so natural and perfect - what a let down her terrible replacement is.
Dannii Minogue has reportedly been axed from the next series of The X Factor.
The singer, who missed the first stages of this year's competition while on maternity leave, upset show bosses by refusing to let a guest judge replace her for the whole series, according to The Sun.
A source said: "It's no secret that her determination to do this year's show annoyed people. Some very senior figures hoped she would step aside so they could find a new judge and keep some degree of continuity between the auditions and the live shows."
Nicole Scherzinger is allegedly being lined up as her replacement, although she is also said to be in the running for a role on the US version of the talent show.
It is also claimed that Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole won't be axed from the judging panel because Cowell believes that they attract viewers.
Minogue returns to this year's show for the Judge's Houses stage of the competition.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1305115/X-Factor-2010-Outraged-viewers-Twitter-complain-auto-tune-technology-used-episode.html
Thousands of X Factor fans have taken to social networking sites in anger after programme bosses appeared to use auto-tuning technology on last night's audition show to improve the quality of competitors' voices.
Fans were outraged after it seemed the post-production technology, which is used in studios to correct pitch and disguise off-key mistakes, was used to improve many of the performances.
Viewers took to Twitter and Facebook to claim auto-tune was used on Zimbabwean favourite Gamu Nhengu, as well as G and S star Caroline, who was forced to abandon her partner Peter after judges decided she was better on her own.
A spokesperson for X Factor could not be reached to comment on the claims.
Viewers also suggested auto-tune may have been used on Shirlena Johnson, who stunned the judges with her incredibly unique performance of Duffy's Mercy
While the song was less than perfect, it was claimed the pitch was nearly spot on
One viewer wrote on Twitter: 'Don't get me wrong I do like X Factor, I just don't like the way they think they can auto-tune the mic without people realising.'
And another added: 'OMG X Factor have autotuned mics turned on its such a shame, they have obviously picked a number of people that they want to get through.'
Thousands of viewers logged on to the social networking site to complain about the technology apparently being used, with one saying: 'It seems X Factor has decided that, yes, contestants can use autotune. Amazing. Just amazing.'
A particularly angry viewer wrote on an internet forum: 'Thank god I'm not the only one that's noticed this. I honestly have no idea. To be quite honest it shocks me how a "singing competition" can deceive its listeners in this way.'
Another said: 'Why have they used autotune on xfactor? Very strange and can't work out why they would want to do it.???'
Fans also took to Facebook pages to register complaint, with one user saying: 'Lets just cheat all the time shall we?'
Others voiced anger on the official X Factor Facebook page, writing: 'Why are the contestants having their vocal fixed with autotune post production? Its not even being done well... I know its all fixed but come on be a little less obvious about it.'
Another comment read: I'm glad it's not just me who spotted the blatant autotune artefacts all over this - What a con, do the producers think our ears are that easily lied to? The whole point is to disseminate the good from the bad.'
Auto-tuning has been famously used for Cher's number one song Believe and several of Britney Spears' hits.
Shirlena Johnson could be dropped from The X Factor after it was revealed that that the singer has been diagnosed with serious mental health problems.
Johnson, who made it through her audition on Saturday's show with an arresting rendition of Duffy's 'Mercy', has apparently been described by psychiatric experts as a "ticking timebomb".
It is thought that Johnson's health may affect her ability to care for her 3-year-old daughter Mariah, and that her situation may worsen further if the singer achieves success on the ITV talent show.
According to The Sun, the 30-year-old had not divulged her issues to X Factor producers, who may now be forced to axe Johnson from the rest of the competition and scrap footage of her at Boot Camp.
An X Factor insider said: "Shirlena can no longer be part of the show. We had no idea about any of this as the information was not given to us by Shirlena when she applied.
"We take contestants' welfare extremely seriously. There is no way we would risk anyone's health or wellbeing on what is a very exhausting show."
A medical source revealed that Johnson was "not a well woman" and should be withdrawn from the programme for her own safety.
"Sadly Shirlena is not in the best of health," they said. "She has been described by expert professionals as a 'ticking timebomb'.
"We watched the show on Saturday and - rather than thinking, 'She's so quirky,' like the rest of Britain - it just gave me the shivers.
"We believe this woman is not a suitable candidate for a reality show that can cause immense stress and instant fame."
The medical source compared the East London singer to Susan Boyle, who was admitted to the Priory clinic for exhaustion after "acting strangely" in the hours following her appearance on the Britain's Got Talent final.
"Shirlena is as fragile as Susan Boyle was - but the difference is that Susan didn't have a child to worry about," they said. "Hopefully the makers will agree that the best thing for Shirlena and her child is to gently drop them from filming and let us help her be the best mother she can."
Last night, an X Factor spokesman said: "We're looking into this."
After her performance on Saturday's show, judge Simon Cowell said: "It was like a musical exorcism. I have to say I love you. You're completely crazy, but I like that. You are fantastically nuts."

SHARON Osbourne is making a shock return to The X Factor two years after she quit over constant run-ins with Dannii Minogue.
The catty former judge, 57, has been drafted in by pal Louis Walsh to help him out as a guest mentor during the Judges' Houses round.
A friend of Louis said last night: "Sharon knows she's only back for one episode and is determined to stir things up and make mischief.
"Louis is absolutely delighted she is coming back. He has dearly missed having her around."
Sharon walked off the ITV1 show after four series in 2008, later admitting she could not bear the idea of working alongside fellow judge Dannii, 38, any longer.
She and Louis, 58, will start filming their episode later this week in Shannon, Ireland, after judges are allocated their singing category.
The wife of rocker Ozzy will help the band manager choose his finalists from hopefuls who have made it through the Boot Camp stage.
SIMON Cowell told last night of the "heartbreaking decision" to axe troubled Shirlena Johnson from The X Factor.
The single mum was dropped after The Sun revealed she hid her mental illness from the ITV1 show's producers.
Medics warned she was at risk after a bizarre performance of the Duffy song Mercy on Saturday night's first show stunned viewers.
Shirlena, 30, was on course to be a novelty hit as popular as Jedward. Simon, 50, told The Sun: "I'm devastated. It's heartbreaking.
"Shirlena desperately wanted to do this to make a better life for herself and her daughter. I feel she may now struggle to do that.
"I really feel for her. I'm very upset and disappointed.
"The advice I'm given is she can't do the show. But there's another argument that we're depriving her of the chance to make some money.
"Even if she didn't win, she could have picked up money for personal appearances.
"On the other hand, if we don't take the advice we're irresponsible."
Shirlena said she did not hide her mental issues.
She told The Sun: "I just wasn't sure how much I was supposed to say.
"I'm very upset. I think people want to hear more of me and they will be disappointed by this.
"It's not fair. I want another chance."
Psychiatrists say Shirlena has problems which may affect her ability to care for daughter Mariah, three.
They feared her condition may worsen if propelled to fame.
After her weird wailing on Saturday, Simon said: "She was different and I really liked her for it."
But The Sun can reveal her next performance, at the show's Boot Camp stage, was even MORE outrageous.
Dressed in a leopard print bra and hot pants, she writhed and shrieked to Lady GaGa's Bad Romance in front of Simon, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.
Her wacky performance, seen by The Sun, was recorded in July.
Another contestant said: "Nicole and Louis kept giggling and Simon was in disbelief."
A spokesperson for The X Factor said: "The welfare of contestants is of paramount importance and it has been agreed Shirlena Johnson should not continue.

I hope Louis dont get the groups again Cheryl should get them this year
Louis Walsh has reportedly continued to weigh up his future on The X Factor.
The Irish judge previously admitted that he considered walking after being "annoyed" by his mentoring category this year.
A source told the Daily Star: “Louis reckons he has an uphill struggle with the category he’s been given.
"He thinks it’s over before it has even begun. He just wants out. He hasn’t won since Shayne Ward and is determined to stop Cheryl [Cole] getting a hat-trick this year.”
Walsh recently revealed that he finds fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell hard to work with.
I like him, hope he stays
Simon Cowell has banned the use of Auto-tune on The X Factor, it has been claimed.
Fans reacted angrily to the use of vocal effects during auditions and accused show bosses of "deceiving" viewers.
According to the Daily Record, Cowell returned from holiday and ordered an immediate ban on the use of Auto-tune on the show.
"As soon as he landed, he was very busy taking lots of calls from production and ITV bosses," a source told the paper. "He said 'the s**t has hit the fan', and was shocked about the fans' reaction and wanted to do something straight away."
They added: "The integrity of the show is very important to him and so he told production that Auto-tune cannot be used again."
A former member of the programme's production team claimed that Auto-tune was also used on contestants in the live finals.
Louis Walsh has reportedly continued to weigh up his future on The X Factor.

Did he get the groups again?
I think we have to wait before we find out. But DS have published this:
Cheryl Cole's psychic healer has predicted that Dannii Minogue will be the winner of this year's X Factor.
Jusstine Kenzer, who told Cole earlier this year that ex-husband Ashley was her "soul mate" from another life, felt that Minogue "had great energy around her".
On Simon Cowell's chances in the competition, Kenzer told the Daily Mail: "I see frustration. Simon's not getting what he wants from the contestants in his category.
"In the end, though, I see him happy, if not jumping up and down with joy."
Of Louis Walsh, who recently claimed to be unhappy with his chosen category, the psychic said: "Yes, I like his energy. He sees a real opportunity here. Having said that, he doesn't stand out as the ultimate winning judge."
The clairvoyant was also quick to dampen expectations of a third successive victory for Cole, saying: "I see her more as being focused on America and completing the recovery process, both in her private life and in terms of her health. She's still healing."
However, on Minogue's chances, the 42-year-old said: "Oh yes, there's a great energy around her. She's like a healer. She's really warm.
"With her help, people grow over the weeks. She's going to be really happy with the end result."

Simon will do all he can so his golden girl Cheryl will win again
ITV's director of television has suggested that the broadcaster should hold talks with the BBC to agree a scheduling plan for The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.
The two reality shows will go head-to-head in the schedules on Saturday and Sunday nights once again this Autumn if both sides are unable to reach a broadcast agreement.
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival today, Peter Fincham said: "We are the two [broadcasters] that are investing the most in original content, so I would hope there was a way we can do that. In a way we've done it for years, by some unwritten agreement, in that Corrie and EastEnders don't play against each other."
He continued: "We want our programmes to reach the maximum audiences. I'm sure BBC One want the same things. We are the only members of a very small club."
The X Factor continues tonight on ITV1, while Strictly is expected to return next month.
XTRA Factor star Konnie Huq has secretly married fiancé Charlie Brooker in a hush-hush Las Vegas wedding, we can reveal.
The former Blue Peter beauty, 35, and Channel 4 presenter, 39, travelled to the States together two weeks ago for the private ceremony with NO friends or family present.
The couple - who met a year ago - then stayed on for a honeymoon.
It is believed the pair will now have a party back in the UK for their loved ones to attend.
Konnie said of her acid-tongued TV critic husband: "We've known each other for years. I've got more of an evil sense of humour than people realise and although Charlie's job is to be critical, he's more of a softie than you'd think."
Charlie said: "We're keen to keep it as low-key as possible. We won't be in OK magazine or treading red carpets arm-in-arm."
SHOW bosses have devised a secret code to stop contestants at judges' houses finding out who their mentor is.
It has led to Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne being dubbed Badger and Squirrel.
But last night Louis said: "I'm Rabbit aren't I? What? I'm Badger? I thought I was Rabbit?"
This year Louis' house will be at the Adare Manor Hotel in Co Limerick - after he refused to return to Castle Leslie in Co Monaghan.
The new venue is set amid 840 acres of formal gardens and rolling parkland, with its own golf coure.
However, he was horrified to learn a ghost of a servant called the Blue Lady walks the gallery at night.
Legend has it she hanged herself after being made pregnant by her boss Earl Dunraven.
ALEXANDRA Burke is about to star in X Factor again - but this time Down Under.
The contest's 2008 winner will feature as a mentor in the Australian version of the show alongside fellow singers Natalie Imbruglia and Ronan Keating.

Simon Cowell has threatened to dock his X Factor contestants' future pay following reports that they damaged his luxury rented villa in Spain.
The reality show hopefuls at the pop mogul's boot camp are said to have caused damage worth thousands of pounds to the Marbella property, including a £5,000 Persian rug and designer furniture.
They have also been accused of drinking Simon's stock of vintage champagne and imported beer, and keeping him up into the early hours through their noisy antics.
Simon told the Daily Mail: "Yes they did wake me up. Any damage will have to be paid out of their first royalty cheque if they make it - to teach them a lesson."
A show insider admitted the eight groups at the boot camp, including The Reason, Sugar Bullet and Husstle, may have "been a bit noisy" when they arrived.
The 20-bedroom villa - which boasts three pools and a cinema - is reportedly costing £15,000 a day to hire.
Simon has also hinted that axed contestant Shirlena Johnson could return to the show.
He said he would like a "second opinion" about the single mother from east London, who was dropped last week because of concerns over her mental health.
Johnson, 30, provided one of the audition highlights when she shrieked and wailed through a version of Duffy's Mercy. She also sang an eccentric version of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance in front of the judges.
Simon Cowell has said that there are no plans to axe an 'X Factor' contestant who has reportedly been working as a prostitute.
The show's judge made the comments after The Sun claimed that singer Chloe Mafia, who will feature in a later episode, had been charging £160-an-hour while working as an escort.
Simon responded to the reports, saying: "We haven't banned prostitutes. I think you'd want to show the story if we're allowed - I want to see the story.”
He added: "We can't just take people off the show because they might do something that upsets some people. If a person applies to be on 'The X Factor' it's obvious to me that they want to do something better with their life."
Chloe's audition is expected to be screened by ITV1 at some point over the next few weeks. However, it has not been revealed whether she makes Boot Camp or the Judges' Homes.
A spokesperson for the show said: "We don't discriminate. We will look into the matter."

I'm sure Cheryl won't quit after the serie, no way ! Just came accross this funny X factor News Blog (http://betting.betfair.com/specials/xfactor/6-x-factor-stars-who-faded-into-obscurity-010910.html) featuring the loosers of the past series...the stars who faded into obscurity....
DETERMINED Cheryl Cole is set to end another big relationship - she's planning to QUIT X Factor at the end of this series.
Just two days after divorcing her cheating husband Ashley, we can reveal the British babe is planning a fresh start in the US with boyfriend Derek Hough.
She is being lined up as a judge on the brand new American X Factor alongside close pal Simon Cowell - and to focus on her music career.
A close source told us: "This is Cheryl Cole phase two. She's not changing her name but she's changing every other aspect of her life.
"She wouldn't have the time to do both of the X Factors plus release new songs - and she's got her heart set on America where Derek lives."
Global X Factor supremo Simon has already started hinting that Girls Aloud singer Cheryl will join him on the US show when it begins next September.
An insider said: "He believes she will be a huge star in the States."
We can confirm that the US series means there will be no X Factor over here next year. And when it returns in 2012 it will be dramatically different.
Cowell is set to be a judge on both shows. But the source close to Cheryl said: "She wouldn't have the time.
"The US show is a huge opportunity but she'd have to give up the show here because she wouldn't be able to do her music too.
"In Britain, her priority is music and it always will be. She's primarily a music star and she feels three years on X Factor will be enough.
"Plus, everything's going to be shaken up in the next series so this is the perfect time for her to bow out.
"ITV will do everything they can to keep her but she doesn't need the money. She only really did this series because of her close friendship with Simon."
Cheryl's departure would throw a lifeline to the only other female judge, Dannii Minogue.
It was thought the new mum's position was under threat, with recent rumours that Cowell wanted a different woman on the four-strong panel.
"But the show insider said: "There's no way we can face the possibility of losing both our female judges in one go. So if Cheryl goes, Dannii's safe."
Cheryl was due to fly into London today from Los Angeles, where Derek has been helping her recover from malaria. She'll stay here till December, when The X Factor ends.
In the next few weeks she hopes to sell her former marital home in Surrey and buy a London base, in trendy Notting Hill.
She and England footballer Ashley, 29, have agreed to split the profits from their mansion, and Cheryl will keep their two dogs.
The source said: "Cheryl wants a base in London but the idea is she'll spend less and less time here.
"Notting Hill is close to Heathrow Airport and handy for her music career too." Derek, 25, is expected to stay in America, where he's a dancer on Dancing With the Stars, the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.
ITV bosses are now looking for another big show to take on the BBC's Strictly in their Sat- urday-night ratings war next autumn.
Speculation had been mounting about X Factor since Cowell announced he was taking the format to the States.
And a few days ago nearly 100 of X Factor's regular workers were told they would not be required for 2011. An insider said: "Many of them assumed they would be working next year as usual. It came as a complete shock, even to some of the top producers."
Staff were also told to expect radical changes in 2012 - with a different judging line-up, a new auditions format and a revamp for the live finals in the pipeline.
The source said: "Nothing has been decided. But how the show is run in the US will be a clear indication as to what will happen to the UK version."

Controversial X Factor duo Abbey & Lisa have been booked for their first gig.
The two friends, who appeared on Saturday's audition show, will play at Scrumptious in Guildford, Surrey next Sunday, reports The Sun.
Abbey Johnstone, 18, and Lisa Parker, 17, performed a dodgy take on Shayne Ward's 'That's My Goal' for the judges and got four 'no' votes from the panel.
However, it was the duo's "bad attitudes" that really shocked the judges, with Simon Cowell claiming that they were the worst-behaved people that they had ever seen on the show. The duo then ended up falling out with each other, resulting in Abbey punching Lisa in the face in front of the audience.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 7.45pm on ITV1.

Simon Cowell has revealed that he is weighing up whether to axe The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.
The 50-year-old said that he planned to concentrate on the American version of The X Factor next year, and that he would seriously consider whether it was worth bringing the show back to ITV for another series.
Next year's series of the singing contest was thought to have been pushed back to a November start date to allow Cowell time to finish its American counterpart, but Cowell has now hinted that the programme may not return at all.
He told The Mirror: "Yes, X Factor will have to move, and we have to decide whether we can make the show better. Do people want it back?
"Even though I have got some plans, I’m going wait a few more weeks before I make a final decision."
Cowell is also doubtful about the future of Britain's Got Talent, which could clash with the late start date of The X Factor if it returns.
The judge has already announced that he will not take part in the audition rounds on the next series of the talent show, and now admits that he could leave the programme altogether.
He said: "I have [an ITV contract] for this year and that is it. At the moment you are going to see me doing one show [next year], and not in England.
"There has got to be a mood here for these shows, and I have always been very conscious of that. You can’t force anything. It has got to be fun. The minute it stops becoming fun, bye bye."
A source confirmed that Cowell was now focusing on his commitments in the US.
They said: "The American X Factor show can make him huge amounts of money and is his priority."

GOLDENBALLS David Beckham could net a Christmas No1 song with his three boys.
The England football hero, 35, is teaming up with rap pal Snoop Dogg and their kids to record an “unstoppable” tune.
And the gang reckon the song could rival the track that will be released by whoever wins X Factor in time for the Christmas singles chart.
American rap legend Snoop, 38, is putting together a celebrity-packed album and wants the Beckham lads to perform a flagship tune with his own sons Cordell, 12, and Corde, 15.
He said: “With me, David and Victoria behind them they would be unstoppable. We’re in talks for a Christmas recording.
“You got his kids and my kids, and we bring them together. I’m waiting for Becks to get back in town.”
He singled out the footballer’s eldest son Brooklyn, 11, as the Justin Bieber-style frontman.
And youngest Cruz, five, can be the main dancer after showing off his breakdancing skills to his family on several occasions.
Snoop hopes that ex Spice Girl mum Victoria, 36, can teach the kids all about the pop game.
He added: “I can’t see why their first single shouldn’t be out by Christmas.”
Hitmaker mates Soulja Boy, who had a No 2 in the UK charts with Crank That, and Bow Wow could mastermind the song.
Snoop also wants to collaborate with Canadian pop sensation Bieber, 16. He said: “I’ve got Bieber Fever. We don’t play no games. Life is beautiful, man.”
ITV has reportedly been searching for a replacement for The X Factor, in case the talent show does not return for another series next year.
Yesterday, it was claimed that Simon Cowell may not return to the UK version of the singing competition once the US X Factor is launched in 2011. The music mogul is apparently also considering axing the show altogether.
The Mirror reports that ITV has been considering a range of shows which could fill the Saturday evening primetime slot, including a project featuring Jonathan Ross and an Andrew Lloyd Webber talent contest.
An ITV insider told the newspaper: "Despite their public assurances that X Factor will be back next year, bosses are increasingly uneasy that they could be mistaken and their most successful and profitable show will vanish until 2012 and may not even come back at all.
"They can't take anything for granted and that's why they have decided to draw up these contingency plans. The fact that Simon hasn't signed the deal yet has made everyone very jittery indeed - especially in these lean financial times."
Another source at the broadcaster told Deadline that the uncertainty is creating a "ticking time bomb" for the channel.
SIMON Cowell is poised to sign a new deal worth up to £20million with ITV which will see him stay on X Factor until 2013.
And it means an extra £4million will be ploughed into the series every year.
The contract, set to be for at least two or three years, could also see mogul Simon take a more prominent role on Britain's Got Talent.
Both shows will move dates next year to fit round Simon's US schedule.
He said last week that he planned to do NOTHING in the UK next year.
But ITV wants to safeguard its two top shows.
Insiders say Simon will get an extra £1million on his £6million-a-year deal.

SEXY Cheryl Cole plans to launch her single life with a show-stopping performance on The X Factor.
Cheryl has begged Simon Cowell to let her be the first artist to perform during the show’s live finals later this autumn.
Cheryl, 27, wants to show the nation she has put the past 12 months behind her and is stronger than ever. And she knows pulling off a stunning performance will be the “final nail in the coffin of her old life”.
Insiders said she was planning her raunchiest ever performance to mark a new chapter in her life.
The singer is expected to perform Promise This, the first track off her second solo album. A source close to the star said: “Cheryl is planning to come out fighting. She wants to blow people away with her sexiest ever routine.
“This will be her showing the world she’s not frail and heartbroken.”
It has been a tough few months for the Girls Aloud babe following her divorce from love rat Ashley Cole, 29, and contracting malaria which left her in hospital for three weeks.
A show insider said: “She’s made it clear to Simon that she’s got a point to make and wants to make it early.
And Simon knows that allowing her to take to the stage during the first weekend of the live shows will be TV gold.”
Cheryl was spotted enjoying a slap-up meal with hunky dancer Derek Hough, 25, in LA over the weekend.
She is due back in Britain this week to continue with her X Factor schedule.
Last week she was in London long enough to get cosy with last year’s hit contestants Jedward, who posed for a picture on Twitter.

One of this year's 'X Factor' favourites may be forced to leave the competition due to immigration problems, reports The Sun.
Gamu Nhengu, originally from Zimbabwe, could face deportation if her mother Nokutula fails to convince the Home Office to let her family stay in the UK when she meets officials this Thursday.
The 'X Factor' hopeful's mother fled Zimbabwe eight years ago and found refuge in Scotland. Her work visa, which currently also covers 18-year-old Gamu and her two younger siblings, has to be extended for the family to be allowed to stay in Britain.
Gamu, who wowed the judges at the Glasgow auditions of 'X Factor', reportedly got through to the judges' house stage of the competition and is now being mentored by Cheryl Cole. Filming began last week in a mansion in Dorset.
Lawyer Frances Farrell, who currently defends Gamu's family, said: "Discussions are ongoing and we hope the situation can be resolved."
Cheryl Cole has finalised a multi-million pound deal to join the US version of The X Factor, a report says.
According to the Daily Mail, the 'Fight For This Love' singer - as already rumoured - will quit her role on the UK show to move to America.
"It's something that Simon [Cowell] and Cheryl have been discussing for months. It's a very exciting prospect to have Cheryl on board," a source claimed.
The X Factor continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1.
I am getting more and more annoyed at the X factor.. it is a sing competition but all I get is 2 mins singing and 5 mins of ad.. My daughter now calls it the "ad factor"
Cheryl Cole was reportedly left furious after her X Factor Judges' Houses round was plagued by troubles.
The judge, who was filming her portion of the round at a country house in Ascot, Berkshire, was apparently shocked to find that the property was surrounded by scaffolding as builders carried out extensive work on the mansion.
Filming took place while the construction work was still being finished, and Cole was then angered further when a builder dropped scaffolding while one of her acts was performing, reports The Sun. Recording was stopped again later on in the day as someone started using a loud vacuum cleaner.
The singer - making her return to the ITV1 show for the first time since she was diagnosed with malaria - is said to have fumed at executive producer Richard Holloway, and was supposedly comforted by will.i.am, who was acting as Cole's guest adviser during the round.
A source said: "It was a letdown. The builders had to be told to stop work. All the acts were clearly affected."
This year's Judges' Houses round sees Simon Cowell's acts travelling to Spain, Louis Walsh's category being assessed in Ireland, and Dannii Minogue's group meeting their mentor in Australia.

Why did Cheryl have the acts at her house if she knew she was getting building work done. She could have borrowed one of Simon's home instead.

I think it spoils the continuity and my VCR is getting worn out fast-forwarding!!! I have been enjoying the guest judges though.
Paloma Faith has said that she would like to appear as a guest judge on The X Factor.
The 'New York 2010' singer, who is promoting the BT Digital Music Awards, said that it was unlikely she would be offered a role, but that she believed she would be a good addition to the panel.
Faith has previously announced her desire to join the show on Twitter, writing: "I want to guest judge The X Factor!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeease Mr Cowell please!"
She explained: "I've tweeted that I'd like to be a guest judge on The X Factor, which I don't think is likely, but I just think it would be nice for them to have someone who's got something interesting to say on there."
Speaking about the music industry's attitude to digital and online technology, Faith added: "I think initially, the record industry struggled a lot with digital media because there a lot of aspects to it that can potentially destroy our industry.
"But, in some ways, what's happening now is people are realising that we can use it to our advantage."
Cheryl Cole will return to The X Factor with a new set of raunchy outfits, according to reports.
The Sun claims that the 'Promise This' singer, who missed the latter part of the talent show's auditions due to illness, is keen to compete with guest judge Nicole Scherzinger.
"Cheryl is refusing to be outwitted or out-titted," said a source. "Cheryl will have more edge, more wit and quite a lot more cleavage than ever.
"She is going to be pulling out all the stops in the coming weeks now she's back to her best following her battle with malaria."
The X Factor continues this Saturday from 7.30pm on ITV1
She has not got a lot up top to show cleavage lol

Simon Cowell believes Cheryl Cole will win 'The X Factor'.
The music mogul believes the Girls Aloud star will win the pop star search show for the third year in a row because of the strength of her group, which includes hip-hop lover Cher Lloyd and Zimbabwe-born Gamu Nhengu.
Discussing this year's acts, Simon said: "In terms of what I've seen so far, particularly in the girls category, it should be a stronger year."
Cheryl has also revealed her delight at being given the category, saying: "I am going for the hat-trick."
The boot camp show which aired last night (26.09.10) saw all of the judges receive their categories - in addition to Cheryl's girls, Simon received the groups, Louis the over-28s, while Dannii will mentor the boys, in a move she admitted she "wasn't expecting".
In addition to Gamu and Cher, Cheryl also has young mum Rebecca Ferguson and eccentric blonde Katie Waissel in her eight acts, which will go through to the judges' houses section of the show.
In Dannii's boys category are 18-year-old Aiden Grimshaw, builder Matt Cardle and Italian-born Nicolo Festa.
Simon's groups include two newly formed bands, Belle Amie and 1 Direction - made up of people who initially auditioned in the girls and boys categories respectively - boy band Princes and Rogues and the Pussycat Dolls-inspired Husstle.
In the over-28s category are supermarket worker Mary Byrne, camp Scotsman Stephen Hunter and Storm Lee - who divided opinion on the judging panel at the audition stage of the show because of his cocky style.
Meanwhile, Simon has warned contestants he is banning sob stories from this year's series.
He said: "What we're trying to avoid is 17 year olds coming up with pathetic sob stories and singing sons that are too old for them in the hope that they're going to be popular.
"I don't want this to be a popularity contest.
"I think it is important that it remains a talent competition."
I hope she does not win again

X Factor's Cher fibs over lyrics
X FACTOR favourite Cher Lloyd has been caught fibbing.
The 17-year-old said on Sunday's show she made up rap lyrics for her rendition of Coldplay's Viva la Vida.
Viewers recognised them from a cover version by US act Swizz Beatz.

---> I don't know why she thought she needed to lie, she is very talented already.
Madonna has reportedly agreed to appear on 'The X Factor'.
The 52-year-old singer is said to have verbally agreed to appear on the ITV1 talent search show, and will kick off the live finals of the competition, which take place on October 9.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Madonna would be the perfect performer to kick off the last stage of the competition."
The opening act of last year's show was Robbie Williams - his first appearance on British TV for three years, singing comeback single 'Bodies' - received a mixed reception after he appeared wide eyed, and gave a somewhat shambolic performance.
It was speculated that the singer - who had a spell in rehab during his time away from the spotlight - had been high on drugs as he appeared, but he laughed off such claims, blaming his performance on nerves and coffee.
He said: "People are alluding to the fact that I may have been high on something but I can only say I wasn't - because I wasn't.
"Unless someone spiked my drink and I would have noticed. It's the same as the deer in headlights, the deer's not on anything other than fear. I'd had a few coffees before I went on, that's all."

What I've seen Cher and Gamu have had the most publicity maybe it's the x-factor's way of trying to get the public to vote for them. From the bootcamp shows my favourite was Matt who sung the Roberta Flack song.

X Factor bosses are to screen the longest edition of the show yet - with a bum-numbing two-and-a-half hour marathon.
The programme on October 9 will be the first of the live shows for this series as the 12 finalists take to the stage to perform.
An ITV spokesman confirmed the show is the longest in the history of the series.
The increased length is understood to be due to a "surprise" for viewers.
Despite the lengthy duration of the show, it will not involve a clash with BBC One rival Strictly Come Dancing that evening.
Last year the frequent overlap between the shows drew repeated criticism. But the October 9 edition of Strictly finishes at 7.40pm, in time for the start of The X Factor.
SIMON Cowell is furious after a list of the 12 final X Factor acts was posted on the internet.
The music mogul is now thought to be considering taking legal action over the leak.
He's said to be "very, very disappointed" at the revelation ahead of this weekend's round of the show, which is set in the judges' houses.
The episodes will see the remaining 32 acts from the boys, girls, over-28s and groups categories whittled down to the final 12, who will perform in the live shows.
A source said: "Simon is very, very disappointed.
"Simon is a complete perfectionist. This was not part of the plan. Everything is stage-managed to within an inch of its life so this will not be looked on favourably."
The acts themselves are made to sign a confidentiality agreement so the outcome isn't ruined for fans of the ITV show.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1317548/X-FACTOR-2010-Controversy-Katie-Waissel-goes-despite-fluffing-audition-Gamu-Nhengu-gets-no.html
She's divided opinion since her very first audition - but X Factor fans have been left furious after Katie Waissel was chosen to go through to the live stages of the show at the expense of favourite Gamu Nhengu.
Gamu's omission was thought by many to be a mistake, with more than 25,000 joining a Facebook group called 'Gamu should have got through' within three hours of the show airing.
However, it has emerged that Gamu and other hopefuls who failed to be selected at the Judges' House stage may be chosen to continue on the show as 'wildcards'.
Fail: Katie Waissel fluffs her attempt to sing Charlie Chaplin's Smile for her mentors Cheryl Cole and Will.I.Am in the judges' homes stage of 'The X Factor'
Lucky: Cheryl tells Katie that she's gone through
Tears of joy: Katie cries with relief as an emotional Cheryl tells her she's going through to the live shows
Next week's show is expected to reveal that X Factor head honcho Simon Cowell will allow each judge a FOURTH choice to go through to the live shows.
At the weekend, Waissel appeared to forget the words to Charlie Chaplin's Smile, then broke down in tears, before being allowed to start again in her performance before judge Cheryl Cole and her close friend, Black Eyed Pea Will.I.Am.
After her somewhat feeble attempt, Will.I.Am appeared to dismiss her, saying: 'She messed that up!' whereas Cheryl simply labelled her a 'drama queen.'

Cheryl Cole breaks down in tears as she selects her three live X Factor finalists
Many viewers are accusing Cheryl of sacrificing better singers and picking the more divisive Katie for the sake of generating headlines for the show.
Cheryl's girls: Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson made it through to the final 12 of the X Factor; but Gamu missed out, shocking many
Many are calling the decision a fix simply designed to boost ratings and that the show's producers made the final decisions rather than Cheryl, 27.
There was also disbelief that Cher Lloyd won a place in The X Factor's live shows - even though she struggled to sing a single note in her latest performance.
Waissel, 24, meanwhile had already caused controversy and even failed to make it through her first audition on the show without mistakes - despite insisting she was going to be a 'star', an 'icon' and a 'legend'.
Rejected: Gamu Nhengu was a favourite of many, but missed out in a controversial decision by Cheryl Cole
X Factor bosses also came under pressure to disqualify her immediately afterwards when it emerged she actually had a record deal in America that she had signed earlier this year under the name of Lola Fontaine.
She was signed to a two-record deal with Chamberlain Records and was about to release a record in Los Angeles before entering the competition.
According to the rules, the hair salon receptionist from Harewood, Herts, should have been banned from continuing in the competition.
In addition to her recording deal, Miss Waissel also appeared in YouTube show Green Eyed World last year, as Katie Vogel.
But show bosses bent their own rules and Katie was allowed to scrape through to boot camp after performing At Last by Etta James, after originally fluffing her lines to Queens We Are The Champions after begging Simon Cowell to give her another chance.
Some fans are even making absurd claims that Cheryl's decision to choose Katie over Gamu was racist, using the argument that Cheryl went to court after attacking a black toilet attendant in 2003.
The star, then aged 19, was arrested after an alleged assault on a black washroom attendant in a Guildford nightclub.
It was reported that the singer screamed racial abuse at London law student Sophie Amogbokpa, 39, before punching her in the face, leaving her with a badly swollen eye.
She was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm but not guilty of another charge of racially aggravated assault.
Chosen ones: Cher and Katie together after being put through to the live finals during a break from filming for the show
But on internet chat forum Digital Spy, dozens of X Factor fans were claiming race as a factor in the final decisions, with one fan posting under the name Boxfresh raging: 'If these decisions were made on US X-Factor, there'd be a race riot.
'I swear to god, African-Americans would go mental....way too many blatant examples of less talented white acts getting in over more talented black contestants.
'Simon really needs to make sure something like this doesn't happen on the US show, because it won't be glossed over like it will be in this country.
'(Choosing) Katie over Gamu was just shocking.'
Madonna wannabe: Katie during her first X Factor audition when she also forgot the words
Final selection: Cheryl Cole's final three for the live finals of the X Factor
However, other fans pointed out that it was Cheryl couldn't be racist as she'd put Rebecca through - added to the fact that's she's close friends with Black Eye Pea Will.I.Am, who helped her make her final decisions at the weekend, and was previously married to Ashley Cole.
The drama came as the 32 hopefuls were whittled down to 12 ahead of the live shows, which begin next week.
Ex-boyfriend: Michael Sophocles was in the 2008 series of The Apprentice
Cheryl even told Katie she was 'annoying', before putting her through.
She said: 'First of all I want to say it's been a pleasure to get to know you as a person.
'I think you're quirky, I think you're original, I think there's something very intriguing about you, but I also have to say that there's a little something that I think people could find, if I'm being brutally honest, a little bit annoying.
'Also sometimes when I'm talking to you there's always something that I don't believe.'
Meanwhile, Katie has also been branded as a fame-obsessed sex maniac who has tried to sleep her with celebs to boost her career.
Her ex -boyfriend and former Apprentice star Michael Sophocles told the News Of The World that she bedded himself and singer James Blunt in a bid to become famous.
He said: 'I eventually split from Katie after I caught her snogging dwarf Hollywood actor Jordan Prentice, full on French kissing. Her hands were all over him.'
Sophocles added that towards the end of their relationship, he took Waissel to a TV awards lunch.
He continued: 'As we sat down for lunch with comedian Jimmy Carr on my right and Katie opposite, she told me, 'Listen, I don't want people to know I'm in a relationship with you so make sure they think I'm single.
'"Jimmy Carr might want to take me out." She was desperate to get in with the famous. It was pathetic.'
Wildcard return?: Simon Cowell was spotted at the home of Diva Fever singer Craig Saggers on Saturday night - fuelling rumours he could return to the hit show as a 'wildcard' re-entry after X Factor sources promised a 'big twist' this weekend
This week's X Factor magazine
Shortly afterwards Katie dated You're Beautiful singer Blunt, 36, and didn't stop boasting about it. Michael said: 'It wasn't a big thing for James. Nevertheless, because of his fame, Katie was very into him.'
Meanwhile, online magazine Anorak is claiming that Waissel being put through was a fix as she already has links with Sony, the record label with which Cowell's Syco Music is affiliated.
However, their claims appear to amount to little more than pointing out that Waissel had bumped into a few people from the label over the years as she's tried to make it as a singer - hardly surprising in the music industry.
Katie was also the subject of an online reality YouTube TV show last year called Green Eyed World, which was an adveritising vehicle for soft drink Sprite.
It sold itself as following then brunette musician Katie as flew to New York to try and make it big in the music world.
Joining Katie in Cheryl's final three are Cher Lloyd, 17, who also failed to complete her song at the Judges' house round, and single mother Rebecca Ferguson, 23, from Liverpool, whose audition Cheryl missed as she battled malaria.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly revealed that she thinks she was right to have put Cher Lloyd through to The X Factor's final 12.
Despite controversy over the three acts Cole chose for the live shows, the judge has said that she made her decision based on Lloyd's previous performances.
The Girls Aloud star also picked Rebecca Ferguson and Katie Waissel, ahead of fan favourite and Zimbabwe-born singer Gamu Nhengu.
After the final 12 were revealed, Cole told The Mirror: "Cher fell apart but when I go back to when I first saw her I was buzzing. I got a real buzz, a real buzz.
"Then when I watched her at Boot Camp she was amazing so I have to remember that actually she was poorly."
The singer added that she considered "everything" before making her decision.
She explained: "I'm not making excuses for her, because you have to perform when you're poorly when you become an artist, but they're under so much pressure, under themselves, you have to take everything into consideration, so Cher was that for me."
Cher i understand as she was very good when she performed, she was ill and she couldnt help that, but Katie, thats a shocking decision.

Cheryl has no chance of making it a hat trick this year. I can see Cher or Katie going first this weekend as revenge for Cheryl picking them over Gamu. Rebecca is going to outshine both of them without any gimmicks or sob stories. My top 3.
1 Matt
2 Rebecca
3 Mary
Team Dannii to win.
Gamu Nhengu has been made one of the favourites to win The X Factor - despite being kicked off the talent show.
Cheryl Cole told the teenager she could not take her any further forward in the search for a singing star, but bookmakers and fans have not given up on the 18-year-old student who left her native Zimbabwe for Scotland five years ago.
More than 45,000 people signed up to a Facebook group, called 'Gamu should have got through', and bookmakers Paddy Power are offering odds of 11/2 on her winning amid reports some of the axed candidates could return as wild card entries.
Those are better odds than the 18/1 offered on Katie Waissel, who got through at Gamu's expense, winning the competition.
Painter and decorator Matt Cardle is the favourite to win at 11/4.
The final 32 acts were whittled down to 12 on Sunday night's show and the pressure will now build in earnest as they face the nerve-shredding prospect of appearing live on the nation's television screens.
There was no shortage of tension as the final 12 were announced.
Cheryl, who made her name as an ITV talent show winner with group Girls Aloud on Popstars: The Rivals, dramatically broke down in tears during the decision-making progress, but quickly regained her composure to lambast Katie for being "a little bit annoying".
Cheryl told her: "I think you're quirky, I think you're original, I think there's something very intriguing about you, but I also have to say that there's a little something that I think people could find, if I'm being brutally honest, a little bit annoying.

X Factor judge Simon Cowell has been spotted visiting axed Diva Fever star Craig Saggers fuelling rumours the duo could return to the hit show as a ''wildcard'' entry.
Simon, 50, and his fellow judges have come under fierce criticism after they axed popular acts on Sunday night's show.
Craig and partner Joe Al-Smadi, 26, failed to make it into Simon’s top three acts.
However, this picture of Simon trying to hide his face behind an umbrella as he visits Craig’s house in Longthorpe, Peterborough, complete with Rolls Royce and film-crew in tow, could give some Diva Fever fans hope.
The sighting has raised expectations that all four judges could choose one star to bring back as a wildcard - with X Factor sources promising a ''big twist'' on Saturday's show.

That's what I was not sure about "The Twist" thing, if they all got to bring one act back or if it was just one act in total??
So Mary, Cher and Katie mess up their final song for the judge at the houses and still get through
Louis Walsh said on Irish radio today that Gamu is out completely
Matt or Rebecca to win

Cheryl put Kate through because she is hoping that she will be this years Jedward. The wild card is not really fair because the act that does get picked are at an unfair advantage as they wouldn't had the time to learn the songs as the final 12 have. If Gamu wasn't selected because of her visa issues then she should never have been allowed to boot camp. She would have been upset but she was rejected for publicity reasons. Katie should never have went through. She messed up in the auditions and at the judges house. If I was Cheryl I would not be brimming with confidence for her just now. It will be interesting to see the public response on Saturday night towards Cheryl, Cher and Katie.
CHERYL Cole is the target of chilling death threats amid fury over her axing of X Factor's Gamu Nhengu.
One threat carried the terrifying warning: "Every1 has a bullet for you."
The sick rant accused the singer of making "the biggest mistake of her life" by ditching teenage fans' favourite Gamu Nhengu from the ITV talent show.
Emotional ... fragil hopeful Cher Lloyd
And shockingly the sender says that, if he can't get to 27-year-old Cheryl, he will "drop" any girl he finds with the same name.
The hate-filled tirade - circulated to phones around the country via BlackBerry Messenger amid outrage over Gamu's exit - slurs Cheryl by accusing her of racism.
Should Gamu be brought back? Take the SunVote poll.
The Sun is not printing it in full, but one part reads: "I've never felt like dis over xfactor until u told gambu (sic) she is not going to the live show.
"Dat cheryl was da biggest mistake of your life. U want to act innocent on tv like you don't know wat ur doing. But we all know how racist you are.
Wannabe ... Katie Waissel in London
"Wat u have now done is ******* up every white girls lives who's silly mothers dat named der child cheryl. Cuz I'm just going to ********* bang drop dem and dey won't even know why."
Sent from Tottenham, North London, the rant tells gorgeous Cheryl - newly divorced from footballer Ashley Cole - never to visit the area, warning she would be "punched until she bleeds".
It adds: "You are a hater. You can't sing 2 save your life. So to make urself happy you want to get rid off all the good singers you know will make you look *******. Nobody wants to buy ur album."
The message - signed off with the street name Supa Capone - ends with the words "Find Me".
One 25-year-old mum who received the diatribe said: "There was something very chilling about it - the way he said he'd never felt like that before.
"It seemed obsessional, like he was unstable. What if some poor girl is attacked just because her name is Cheryl?"
Both Scotland Yard and X Factor bosses yesterday said they were looking into the message, which accused Cheryl of keeping 18-year-old Gamu out of the X Factor finals last weekend as she was jealous of her talent.
Last night it emerged ANOTHER sick demand for Cheryl's death had appeared on Facebook.
Cowell ... wildcards
A site - entitled 'cheryl cole to die a painful death for being a T**t and blasted into space' - was set up by poster Dan Mcmanus and had 39 members.
Its description reads: "ppl who want to kill cheryl cole for being a great big t*** and making painful music that ppl want to shoot themselves to."
The threats came amid a huge backlash over Girls Aloud star Cheryl's decision to axe talented Gamu and instead put through waif-like Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel, 24, who both mucked up in judges' house auditions.
Cher, 17, has been allocated a counsellor by X Factor chiefs as she battles the stress of the show.
But yesterday dad Darren insisted she was "fine" and "stronger than ever".
Jobless Darren, 43, explained in Malvern, Worcs: "She had a sore throat at the audition and couldn't give her all.
"She's absolutely fine mentally and can't wait to perform in the live finals."

Darren also revealed Cher is a proud gipsy who wants to sing a traditional Romany song on her first album.
He said: "There are strong Romany roots on her mother Dinah's side and Cher is keen to learn more about her heritage."
Despite her father's claims, Cher's stick-thin frame has sparked fears for her health.
Last night Mary George of eating disorder charity beat warned the wannabe needs more energy to maintain her strength.
She said: "A healthy, balanced diet is important. Our bodies require regular nutrition and sufficient hydration to enable us to perform to maximum levels."
X Factor supremo Simon Cowell has added a twist by allowing judges to select "wildcard" acts who could earn a reprieve despite being axed from the show.
Some names have been leaked on the net, infuriating X Factor chiefs
That is a bit extreme.. Yes I am sad Gamu didn't make it but to kill any girl named Cheryl is way way over the top...

That's very extreme . Some people are just sick really.
Nicole Scherzinger has hinted she will return to 'The X Factor' as a judge.
The Pussycat Dolls singer was such a hit on the ITV1 show when she had a guest spot on the panel earlier this year, Simon Cowell is reportedly desperate to re-sign her for 2011.
The stunning singer said: "I loved doing the show and I loved the British crowd. They were so much fun. I could well be back."
The news comes amid rumours new mum Dannii Minogue, 38, is planning to leave the show which would leave a space open for a new judge.
It has also been rumoured that Simon is eyeing Nicole up for a slot on the panel of the American version of the show which he hopes to launch there next year.
Meanwhile, one of the 12 finalists John Adeleye, 29, has admitted there have been fights in 'The X Factor' house between two of the bands ahead of the live show this weekend.
He told X Magazine: "There was a ruckus between the girl band and one of the boy bands. Not physical but they were having a little verbal tit for tat.
"It was like 'EastEnders'. And I love just sitting back and watching the drama."
Matt Cardle also revealed the funniest moment in the house so far has been Harry from boy band One Direction coming downstairs wearing nothing but a golden thong.
He added: "It was proper minging."

'X Factor' judge Simon Cowell has reportedly axed the show's new vocal coach, only days before the start of the live shows.
According to The Sun, Cowell blames Ali Tennant's coaching for the poor performances from the groups he is mentoring this year, 1 Direction, Belle Amie and F.Y.D.
A source told the paper: "The groups have a lot of complicated routines and weren't gelling at all."
Cowell reportedly decided to terminate Tennant's contract and bring back former coach Yvie Burnett – a last-minute change which could prove to be a risky move.
The source added: "Now the singers only have a few hours each with her to get it right. The show is in chaos."
Tennant's manager Alex Field has expressed his shock at the news, commenting: "Ali proved popular not only with the contestants but also with the judges.
"He was the only vocal coach to be invited by Simon Cowell to his house in Malaga for the selection stage. He was extremely surprised his contract was terminated without notice.
"He is a successful songwriter and vocal coach and counts JLS and Alexandra Burke as his clients."

Does Simon not consider the groups might be terrible and even the coach cant help them :p
A newspaper report has revealed the songs that each X Factor finalist will perform on tonight's live show.
According to The Sun, FYD will perform 'Billionaire' by Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars, while newly-formed boyband 1 Direction will sing Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida'. Girl group Belle Amie will take on 'Airplanes' by B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams. This year's groups are mentored by Simon Cowell.
Singing in Cheryl Cole's Girls category, Rebecca Ferguson will sing 'Teardrops' by Womack & Womack and Cher Lloyd will perform 'Just Be Good To Me' by The SOS band. Katie Waissel will tackle Queen's 'We Are The Champions' after forgetting the words to the song in her first audition.
Mentored by Dannii Minogue, Aiden Grimshaw will perform Tears for Fears' 1982 hit 'Mad World', while Matt Cardle will sing 'When Love Takes Over' by David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland. Nicolo Festa will take on Lady GaGa's 'Just Dance'.
Meanwhile, singing in the Over 28s category, mentored by Louis Walsh, John Adeleye will perform Mariah Carey's 'One Sweet Day', Mary Byrne will sing 'This Is A Man's World' by James Brown and Storm Lee will sing Starship's 'We Built This City'.
Four extra wildcard acts have been added to the X Factor live shows.
Host Dermot O'Leary announced the twist, which had been hotly rumoured all week, at the start of this evening's programme. All four judges were allowed to bring back one act, who they rejected at the Judges' Houses stage, for a second chance.
Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole were filmed visiting their wildcard acts at their homes, where they surprised them with the news.
Cowell brought back camp pop duo Diva Fever in the Groups category, while Louis Walsh offered his wildcard to Wagner Carrilho. Dannii Minogue handed a last chance to cinema worker Paije Richardson and Cheryl Cole gave the last slot on the live shows to Treyc Cohen.
All 16 acts will compete on the live shows, which are now expected to feature double evictions at various points during the series.
Go on Mary!! what a voice! hope that she gets all the votes that she deserves.
Cant stand Katie.

My favourites were Mary, Aiden, and TreyC, in that order . Yes, Belle Amie was poor. I thought that F.Y.D. would have been better. Does anyone know what F.Y.D. stands for?? Katie or Cher to go tonight please, but yes, I agree that Wagner will probably go - although I found him very entertaining! I reckon next week will also be a double eviction, cos with all these wild cards they will have to wind it down in time for that Xmas no. 1 spot.
Follow Your Destiny = F.Y.D
Nicolo Festa and FYD have become the first two acts to be eliminated from this year's X Factor.
Dermot O'Leary first announced that Festa, FYD and Katie Waissel had finished as the bottom three, before revealing that as the act with the lowest amount of votes, Festa would be immediately sent home.
The stony-faced contestant, who performed Lady GaGa's 'Just Dance', on yesterday's show, was stunned into a rare silence after hearing the result, commenting to O'Leary that he felt "like crap".
Festa's mentor Dannii Minogue also had difficulty summing up the loss of her first act, eventually noting: "It's so hard to stand out with 16 acts on the first show. I thought Nicolo sang fantastically."
Following Festa's elimination, FYD sang Rihanna's 'Please Don't Stop The Music' and Waissel covered 'Don't Let Me Down' by Annie Lennox in one last attempt to impress the judges.
Simon Cowell first questioned why Waissel hadn't sung her survival song yesterday before voting to save his own act FYD. Cheryl Cole also saved her act Waissel, but added that it was "not just a biased decision".
Minogue then decided to vote out FYD and Louis Walsh toyed with sending the vote to deadlock, before opting to "do the right thing" and casting the deciding vote that sent the boyband home.
The decision made, FYD accepted that viewers may have been too distracted by their dancing to appreciate their vocal abilities and insisted that they would be staying together.
Following the double elimination, Cole and Walsh are the only judges with all their acts left in the competition, while Walsh is the only mentor not to have an act finish in the bottom three.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 7.30pm on ITV1.
Christine Bleakley may replace Dermot O'Leary on 'The X Factor'
The 'Daybreak' presenter is being given first refusal for the main presenting role on the show if Dermot moves to the US version of the show due to be staged next year, with Simon Cowell and ITV controller Peter Finacham keen to sign her up.
A TV insider said: "Simon is a big fan of Christina and so is Peter Fincham. They see her as having a big future at ITV.
"Peter told her that if Dermot takes the job as host of the American show, as he thinks he will, 'Then the job's yours'.
"Everything depends on Dermot accepting Simon's offer to host the US show."
Simon is expected to reveal Cheryl Cole and Nicole Scherzinger as his fellow judges on the US 'X Factor' next year, while Dermot, 37, is expected to also go across to present the show - having until February to make his mind up.
The source added to the Sunday Mirror: "There are going to be a lot of changes at 'The X Factor' and Christine's thrilled at the prospect of being part of them."

Louis a chicken sh1t he should have choosen to boot Katie forcing the public vote rule. Katie would have went home. She wasn't the worst performance of the night but it was tactical voting against her and Cheryl. She won't last long. I felt sorry for FYD as the groups always go first it's true what one of the singers said because they were first up they were forgotten by all 16 acts performed.

Aiden will do well as he is easy to mould like Joe. Matt is far a better singer but it will depend on what songs they are given.

I was LOL at Wagner (Chico mixed with Jedward)
You need the Wagners and Diva fevers in this competition.. they keep you watching week in, week out to see what the hell is next.. as much as I hate Jedward, you had to see how stupid they were going to be the following week.. everyone know people like this won't win the X factor but they sure a hell make me laugh a lot and forget about the diva singers who think they are better than what they are!!
(p.s will not be watching the results next week, Diane Vickers annoys me more the Katie and Cher put together)
