View Full Version : The X Factor 2010
The groups are terrible
Rebecca is the best from the girls
Mary is the best in the over 28s
All the boys were good even Nicolo well I liked it so I think Danni has the best group
I dont mind seeing Matt, Mary or Paije win

I agree that Cher is WELL overated, and Simon was dumb to call her a genius. I am angry that F.Y.D. were sent home and Katie was saved cos IMO F.Y.D. sang really well in the sing-off and Katie sang a boring song and was irritating.
Why are the Press giving Treyc a hard time over having a record contract already when Katie has one and Leona Lewis had one also. They should have a rule where you are not allowed to be in X Factor if you have a record contract, anyway. It isn't fair on the other contestants. Yes, the Wagners and Diva Fevers and Jedwards of X Factor cheer me up when I watch them, they are entertaining. At least they won't win, because it IS a singing contest! I think I want Mary to win the whole competition, when she sings it is with so much passion and emotion and it moves me.
yep me to! i just think that Louis did it because heknew it was Simons group.
Mary to win!!!

Producers of The X Factor have confirmed that downloads from the live shows will not be made eligible for the official UK singles chart.
For the first time this year, all performances from the reality talent contest will be sold via iTunes "within hours" of broadcast.
The songs, priced at 99p each, will not feature in the top 40 to "protect integrity", BBC Newsbeat reports. The move will also avoid hinting at which acts are the most popular.

Louis saved Katie because I bet he was told to by Simon (he had to vote to save his own act and he didnt care that they were going home) as if one of Cheryl's acts had gone first she would have looked bad and everyone would be right that Katie shouldnt have made the live shows
Mary said on Irish radio that Louis have to get the ok from Simon for her song choice so Simon runs the while damn show like I didnt know that

Alan you'll love this:
Marsh: 'Cheryl Cole made wrong choices'
Kym Marsh has hit out at Cheryl Cole for choosing Cher Lloyd as one of her X Factor finalists.
Last week, the Corrie actress revealed her unhappiness at Cole mentoring the girls as she believes it is the category most likely to win. In her New column, Marsh wrote that the Girls Aloud singer had "made some wrong choices" when picking her three singers.
"I don't think Cher Lloyd is good under pressure," she said. "And she’s only young so she could have had another shot when she’s a bit older."
She continued: "Although she's talented, she's also very fragile."
Marsh added that she thinks one of Simon Cowell's groups could win the competition.
"I think Simon Cowell has a chance of winning this year, the groups are really good," she said. "But Louis Walsh has no chance, bless him!"
The former Hear'Say singer again named Matt Cardle as her favourite, but added: "I'm glad he's got rid of that horrible hat."
Kym Marsh advises 'freaky' Cher Lloyd
Kym Marsh has advised X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd to work on looking less "freaky" when performing.
Writing in her New column, the Corrie actress confessed that she thinks Lloyd looks "freaky" when she sings.
"Everyone's talking about The X Factor’s Cher Lloyd, and although she’s very talented, she has a very odd performance style," Marsh said.
"She has very peculiar moves - my advice would be to have a practise in front of the mirror because she looks a bit freaky when she sings!"
Marsh previously blasted Lloyd's fellow finalist Katie Waissel for being "a little too confident for my liking".
Marsh unhappy with Cole 'X Factor' group
Kym Marsh has revealed that she is annoyed Cheryl Cole is mentoring the girls on The X Factor this year.
The Coronation Street actress wrote in her New column that she was "disappointed" the Girls Aloud singer had been given the "strongest" group of contestants again.
"I'm disappointed that Cheryl Cole has been given the strongest category for the third year running and is most likely to win yet again," Marsh said.
Since joining the ITV show, Cole has mentored winners Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry.
Marsh admitted that she is backing Dannii Minogue's Matt Cardle to win the series.
"I’m kind of hoping one of the boys wins instead," she said. "I love Matt Cardle, he’s something else."

Konnie Huq has apologised to the top 16 X Factor acts after making a mistake about the reality show's UK tour.
The new Xtra Factor presenter told the finalists that they would all be going on the 15-date arena tour on Saturday night's spinoff show. Her news was greeted by screaming and hugging from the Top 12 and four wildcard entrants.
This would have meant that FYD and Nicolo Festa would still have gone on the tour, despite being axed from the live shows in the first week.
However, Huq was later told off-camera that she had made an error and that it would be the same as in previous years and only the top eight contestants would be touring.
Boyband FYD, who were eliminated on Sunday, spoke to The Sun about the mistake, commenting: "She got someone whispering in her ear and had to say sorry. We were like, 'Wow'. Everyone cheered and went to party. How to deflate someone."
A show source added: "All 16 acts were jubilant when Konnie broke the news as it's a huge pay day. But when she told them she got it wrong they were absolutely gutted."

LOUIS Walsh says he's "fed up" of listening to Cheryl Cole after their public spat on last weekend's X Factor.
The Irish music mogul snapped at Cheryl on Saturday's show as she urged him to give her act Katie Waissel a chance while the judges voted whether the 24-year-old hopeful or boyband FYD should go through.
He shouted: "I have an opinion. It's not all about you, Cheryl!"
The following day on Xtra Factor, presenter Konnie Huq put a viewer's question to Louis asking whether he was jealous of the attention the 27-year-old Geordie judge gets.
The 58-year-old replied: "Oh she always gets the attention, she's the nation's sweetheart."
Speaking to X magazine about his row with Cheryl, Louis said: "I'm 30 years in this business, I've sold 100 million records, I know what I'm talking about, I have an opinion, and I'm entitled to speak my mind, you know?
"I don't care [if I upset her]. I'm not here to keep her happy. It's not my job... I'm fed up listening to her. It's not her show."
Louis also had a dig at controversial singer Katie, who Cheryl was criticised for choosing to take part in the live shows ahead of fans' favourite Gamu Nhengu.
He said: "There's something about Katie I do like, but I just don't think the public get her. That was my problem. There are so many brilliant girls in the show, I don't know how she's going to be better than the other girls.
"It's my opinion. Simon hired me for my opinion. I'm very honest. What you see is what you get. Be it right or wrong, I don't care. I'm not going to change for Cheryl."

This week's X Factor live show theme is rumoured to be Musical Heroes.
According to the DS forums, a source close to Louis Walsh has revealed the news about this week's song choices. The show insider also apparently hinted that viewers can expected "more tears" from Katie Waissel after this week's performance.
Musical Heroes was the theme of last year's opening live show. Olly Murs performed Robbie Williams's 'She's The One', Stacey Solomon sang Coldplay's 'The Scientist', while Jamie Archer tackled 'Get It On' by T.Rex. Meanwhile, eventual winner Joe McElderry covered Robbie Williams's 'No Regrets'.
The X Factor airs at 7.30pm on Saturday on ITV1.

Rihanna and Christina Aguilera are rumoured to be performing on upcoming X Factor live shows.
The gig would mark Rihanna's second stint on the singing competition following last year's performance of 'Russian Roulette'.
According to Perez Hilton, the 'Rude Boy' star will sing her new single 'Only Girl (In The World)' alongside judge Cheryl Cole's rendition of 'Promise This'.
Aguilera's date is yet to be confirmed, although it is rumoured that she will either perform a song from her upcoming movie Burlesque or her new single 'You Lost Me', which was recently rescheduled for release this month.
Katy Perry will perform her new single 'Firework' on this Sunday's results show, while Diana Vickers will sing her latest effort 'My Wicked Heart'.

X Factor contestant Katie Waissel has threatened to quit the show following a ‘bullying campaign’ against her.
The 24-year-old apparently suffered a breakdown in the X Factor house after a public backlash against her.
A show source told the Daily Mail: ‘Katie is on the brink – she’s a drama queen at the best of times – but she just feels like she can’t go on.
‘She told producers and spoke to [show judges] Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole and they are both trying to get her to stay.
‘But as outgoing and quirky as she is, she’s only human and she is in tears over the bullying tactics people are using to get her out of the show.
‘She collapsed in tears on Monday night, she hasn’t been eating or sleeping.
'Then to cap it all, her voice has gone and she went to see a doctor who told her she had to rest and put her on antibiotics.
'We had no option but to allow her to go home for the evening - she’s not allowed to stay at home, but she had dinner with her parents.’
Miss Waissel was the subject of an internet campaign to stop viewers voting for her after fans argued that her mentor Miss Cole should not have picked her as one of her acts for the live finals.
She had failed to complete two of her three songs during the audition process yet was still put through ahead of viewers’ favourite Gamu Nhengu.
The campaign clearly worked, as on last weekend’s first live shows Miss Waissel was in the bottom three of the public vote. But she was kept in when Louis Walsh made the key vote in her favour.
Walsh said yesterday: ‘Honestly, I know I did the right thing. Katie was the better contestant. I really feel for the girl, this competition is hard and she’s trying her best.
'She can sing – she’s just being punished for the fact that Gamu wasn’t picked and that’s not right.’
Tesco worker Mary Byrne is to perform a Dusty Springfield classic on this week's X Factor.
Byrne, who won praise from the judges last week for her rendition of James Brown's 'It's A Man's Man's Man's World', will perform the 1966 number one 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me'.
A source told Ireland's Evening Herald: "Last week was a tough one for everyone because it was the first live show but this week will be even tougher for Mary now that she's shown what she can do.
"Her fans are expecting another brilliant performance from her and to be blown away again by that big voice. It's nearly more important that she does well this weekend as she wants to prove it wasn't just a one-off performance."
The insider continued: "Louis has chosen a great song for her to sing. He just handed her his iPod and told her to listen to it over and over until she had it inside out. As she listened to it they just kept looking at each other, and then Mary started laughing nervously and they nodded to each other - I think they both know this will be amazing, if she can nail it."
The X Factor airs on Saturday at 7.30pm on ITV1.

I can't wait to see Mary sing Dusty's song. She will be brilliant. I'll need to stock up on the wine to sing along. Between singing along with Mary and watching Russell Watson on Life Stories with Piers Morgan. I'll be bawling my eyes out on Saturday night.
THIS year's X Factor contestants are releasing a single to raise cash for Help4Heroes.
The show's 16 finalists are covering DAVID BOWIE's brilliant anthem Heroes.
CHER LLOYD, MARY BYRNE, KATIE WAISSELL, DIVA FEVER, STORM and the other hopefuls from SIMON COWELL's show will record the track and video over the next week.
What a brilliant song choice so long as WANGER (sic) doesn't get the chorus.
The Sun will be backing the song all the way. And once it is ready, you will be able to hear it on my website.
I'll be getting pictures of the finalists recording the track too.
Early this year The Sun-backed Helping Haiti single Everybody Hurts raised more than £2million. The star-studded cover of REM's hit was the fastest selling charity record this century.
In 2008, X Factor finalists including ALEXANDRA BURKE, JLS and DIANA VICKERS released MARIAH CAREY's Hero. It raised £1.3million for the H4H Rehabilitation Complex at Headley Court.
The Bowie classic is a dead certainty to reach No1 and will raise even more cash.
Bowie released Heroes in 1977. Amazingly, it only reached No24 in the singles charts.
He was going through one of his more experimental phases, or "ahead of the game", as a fan would say. Bowie knows the talent contest bunch are covering his song - so it will be interesting to hear his critique once he's heard it. But seeing as he's only given one interview in five years, I won't hold my breath.
Money raised from this Bowie cover, out on November 7, will go towards the £44million needed to create recovery centres for wounded soldiers.

ITV is poised to announce a new deal that will keep Simon Cowell with the broadcaster for three more years.
The contract will also ensure that his two reality shows, The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, will remain on air until 2013.
Speaking to advertisers yesterday, ITV's director of television Peter Fincham said that they were in the final stages of reaching an agreement.
"I had been hoping to be in a position to say we had done long term deals for The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent," he said. "There has been a lot of talk and speculation but I don't think I am being too confident to say we are almost there."
The future and timing of both series have been called into doubt in recent months after Cowell announced plans to launch The X Factor in the US in September 2011.

Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho has asked fellow 'X Factor' hopeful Mary Byrne out on a date.
The renowned ladies' man has taken a shine to the supermarket worker during their time on the show and is now keen to take their friendship further.
A source said: "Wagner is single at the moment and looking for love. He and Mary have been getting on well and have started flirting more and more, so he decided to ask her out.
"Mary laughed at first, but secretly she's flattered - and hasn't said no."
While Wagner, 54, is getting on well with 50-year-old Mary he recently had a blazing row with John Adeleye over deodorant.
Scared 'X Factor' hopefuls reportedly had to call security after John accused his Over 28s pal Wagner of trying to damage his vocal chords by spraying his deodorant around the house the contestants share.
A source said: "John insisted the fumes were ruining his vocals cords and was convinced Wagner was doing it deliberately. He snapped and had it out with him. Everyone was really worried as they're quite big blokes to be facing off like that. It woke some people up and some of the younger people like Cher Lloyd were quite scared. Security came in and calmed everything down, but there is some serious bad blood.
"The row between Wagner and John is typical. Wagner is a very big character who loves marching round showing off while John is way more quiet. Two more different people you couldn't hope to meet."

Jedward plan to turn 'The X Factor' stage into a giant haunted hotel.
Irish twins John and Edward Grimes - who rose to fame with their bizarre performances in the competition last year - plan to take over again in an upcoming episode with a huge version of one of their new tracks.
Edward told MTV UK: "We're going to create a big hotel, like build a massive building and then the wall will be removed, and you'll see me and John in a really spooky house. It's going to happen. John and Edward - the return!"
John added: "It will be a big surprise! We're going to be singing a new song from our album. It's our brand new single."
During their time on the show, the pair were heavily criticised by judge Simon Cowell.
However, the brothers are convinced they have managed to win him over during the past year.
John added: "He used to be really scary but I don't feel like he is anymore. He's actually really, really cool and really likes me and Edward.
"He said he likes us because we like broke the barrier of being boring and just standing there and singing. We actually did something different. Simon's missing our love."
Meanwhile, Nadine Coyle - the Girls Aloud bandmate of judge Cheryl Cole - has reportedly been dropped as a potential performer in one of the live shows.
The singer - who recently released her solo single 'Insatiable' - will apparently not perform now bosses on the show are confident of finding someone "more famous".
TellyMix said: "'The X Factor' wants only the biggest names and stars to perform.
"This is a show which gets up to 20 million viewers watching every week, the show doesn't need third rate performers and flop acts.
"Nadine was originally being considered for a slot, however bosses decided they could get more famous singers."

Once again Mary, Matt and Rebecca stole the show. Faultless perfromances from Mary and Matt. Still my top three. Storm Lee and Katie to go tonight with possibly Aiden in danger. His performance was poor. Dannii should never had allowed him to tackle a John Lennon song it was too big for him.

Why on earth has Cheryl dyed her hair the same colour as Sharon Osbourne?? Doesn't suit her.
For me, Mary stole the show. Matt and Rebecca were good. John was better than last week. But for everyone else's performances I was disappointed and not very impressed. Watching Aiden was uncomfortable. As was watching Wagner. I hope everybody steps up their game next week and I hope the Judges choose better songs.
In the News of The World today, it says Matt and Katie were caught in bed together. Yuck. I thought he'd have better taste.
And Matt's old band Seven Summers is climbing up the charts on the back of Matt's success on X Factor.

Cher perfomance was alright. I just feel she is a one-trick pony. She's okay at singing raps as she did this last week as well as last night. But there is going to come a time were she is going to have to sing big band numbers or ballads, which she won't be able to slip in some rap. I don't think she could perform a song properly. uinlike Matt who in both weeks has come out of his comfort zone and sung songs he wouldn't normallly sing but has smashed them.
That is what I have been thinking, she can't continue with that style for the rest of the competition
Storm Lee and Diva Fever have become the next two acts to be eliminated from The X Factor.
Lee was the first act to leave after Dermot O'Leary revealed that the aspiring rockstar had received the least public votes in a bottom three that also included Belle Amie and Diva Fever.
After the result, Lee commented: "You know, I just want everyone out there who's ever believed in something to never, ever give up because you haven't seen the best of me yet, let me tell you."
Simon Cowell's groups then took part in a final sing-off, which saw Diva Fever cover Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' and Belle Amie perform a tearful rendition of Fergie's 'Big Girls Don't Cry'.
After the showdown, Louis Walsh cast the first vote to send Diva Fever home, arguing that Belle Amie "can grow and get better throughout the show".
Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole also cast their votes for Diva Fever, giving them the three votes needed to send them home.
"We have had the time of our lives," Diva Fever member Craig Saggers stated after the vote. "This is just mad being on the X Factor. [We] just want to say thank you to Simon for putting us back on the live show, we still feel we can really sing."
His bandmate Josef Al-Smadi added: "We were serious about [the show] and we really wanted to win it, but wanted to smile and have fun and I think we did that."
After half-jokingly blaming their elimination on Cowell's choice of song in yesterday's show, their mentor came on stage and announced: "I accept full responsibility. I let you down and I am sorry."
Cowell now has just two acts remaining in the competition, while Cheryl Cole has become the only mentor to still have all of their acts.

'X Factor' Matt 'furious over Katie lies'
X Factor's Matt Cardle has reportedly accused fellow finalist Katie Waissel of making up lies, after a newspaper claimed that they had been found in bed together.
The News of the World claimed that that the pair were caught by members of the security team when a kissing game went too far. However, according to The Sun, Matt was furious when he read the report.
He apparently yelled at her: "Stop stitching me up. Stop making stuff up. I could never sleep with you."
The pair are said to have only shared a bed in his room to watch a DVD.
"What do you think you're doing? We were only watching TV - now it looks like we're an item," he told the 24-year-old.
"I've just come out of a relationship and I'm not about to get into another right now. Especially not with you. You're not my type.
"Stop making this stuff up. You've humiliated me and you won't have done yourself any favours."
A source at the ITV show added: "Getting close to Matt can make her look popular. Everyone loves him. But you can't go around making stuff up."
They claimed that Katie spent the rest of the day in tears, ignored by the other finalists.
"She's had tears down her cheeks, going on about how she's a really bad person. She's not a bad person, she's just desperate to win. Everyone does stupid things now and again."

Reports have claimed that next week's X Factor live show will have a Guilty Pleasures theme.
According to the X Factor Updates site, the acts will all be performing pop and rock classics that some people may consider lowbrow or embarrassing.
The site claims that Belle Amie will sing the '80s movie theme tune 'Footloose' and that Treyc Cohen is performing Led Zeppelin hit 'Stairway To Heaven'.
The theme weeks so far this year have included Number Ones and Musical Heroes.

TV has agreed new three-year deals for The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.
The channel has also secured the exclusive broadcast rights to the American version of The X Factor, which will be shown on ITV2 alongside America's Got Talent.
ITV's deal renew's their collaboration with Syco Entertainment and Freemantle Media after a large amount of speculation about the entertainment formats. The future for the UK reality shows was thrown into doubt after Piers Morgan confirmed his exit from BGT and Simon Cowell announced plans to launch a US X Factor in autumn 2011.
However, this latest development means that Simon Cowell will remain with the channel until 2011. It has also been confirmed that BGT will be back in Spring 2011 as usual, while the UK X Factor will also be back in its regular slot in autumn 2011.
ITV2 spinoff shows Britain's Got More Talent and The Xtra Factor will also return.
Speaking about the deal, Simon Cowell said: "I am thrilled this deal has been concluded with ITV to enable our relationship to continue to develop. I am committed to making sure both shows get bigger and better every year. I
"I have a lot to thank ITV for; they have been key in making The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent the UK's biggest television shows.:
ITV director of television Peter Fincham commented: "The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent are the shows that have helped define the last decade of television in the UK and have become more than just a talking point: they are a national obsession, and I’m delighted that our viewers can continue to enjoy them on ITV over the next three years.
"I’m especially pleased to have agreed a deal that cements our successful relationship with Simon Cowell, Syco and FremantleMedia over a longer term. I look forward to working with them as we continue to develop both shows and keep them at the top of their game."
X Factor and BGT have been ITV1's biggest entertainment shows in recent years with the 2009 series finales both scoring over 19million viewers.
Talkback Thames interim CEO Sara Geater said: "We are very proud of our productions and the incredibly talented team behind them. We are delighted with ITV's commitment to the shows and that our successful relationship with Syco continues to flourish."
ITV will have exclusive sales agents for TV, online and interactive properties for the two shows and have also reached a revenue share agreement over iTunes downloads for the live performances from the programmes.

But studio wizardry means he is to duet with opera star Bryn Terfel on a new version of his timeless classic White Christmas.
The track's original release in 1942 predated the UK singles chart by a decade.
Bookmaker William Hill is now giving the track odds of 6-1 to become the Christmas number one - better than the price for an actual white Christmas, which is 8-1.
Last year saw a concerted effort to keep the X Factor winner from the number one spot, with a huge chart battle which resulted in Rage Against The Machine depriving Joe McElderry of the coveted seasonal prime spot.
This year's runners and riders include the infamous noiseless composition, 4'33" by John Cage, as a silent anti-X Factor stunt. Terfel has recorded the track for his new album Carols And Christmas Songs, which is to be released in December.
White Christmas is judged to be the biggest selling single of all time with sales of more than 50 million, although no exact figures exist.
The song, written by Irving Berlin, featured in the film Holiday Inn with that recording also featuring the voice of Martha Mears - rather than actress Marjorie Reynolds who appeared to sing it on screen.
Terfel said: "It's such an honour not only to be sharing a track with one of the best loved singers in the world, but to be singing one of the best songs ever written. I hope everyone will enjoy it."

Cheryl Cole has been confirmed to perform on this weekend's X Factor live results show.
The Girls Aloud singer will take to the stage on Sunday to perform new material, believed to be upcoming single 'The Flood' from her second solo album Messy Little Raindrops.
A post on the official X Factor website read: "It’s official! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... our very own Cheryl is going to perform on The X Factor this weekend!
"Yes during Sunday’s show the Girls' mentor will transform into her other role as global pop superstar, and treat us to some of her new material! It's all very exciting!
"After her performance she will then no doubt effortlessly re-assume her role as judge, in time for the dreaded sing-off."
The X Factor results show airs on Sunday at 8pm on ITV1.

CHERYL Cole has hit out at her "stupid" X Factor rival Louis Walsh, further escalating the war between them.
The Geordie judge said Louis had made himself look like an idiot after he told her "it's not all about you" and interrupted her on the show when she tried to speak.
Cheryl, 27, fumed about his bitching: "It was really out of context. It was random.
"I just said to him, 'If there's a problem, come to my dressing room, and let's have it out. Why are you shouting at us? What's that all about?'.
"I hadn't even mentioned myself when he said 'it's not all about you — you're making yourself look stupid!'. No, actually, you are Louis."
And she also suggested that the 58-year-old cares more about himself than his acts Mary Byrne, John Adeleye and Wagner.
Cheryl told X Magazine: "Maybe he might think it's all about the judges because he's a judge. But for me, it's about my girls and how they perform. I really don't care what Louis' opinion of me is."
Simon Cowell, 51, recently admitted all four judges are at war, saying: "There are definitely two divisions.
"You've got Louis and Dannii, who look like they've been sucking on lemons. And then there's me and Cheryl trying to have a good time."

HUNDREDS of X Factor fans have blasted Dermot O'Leary for likening Simon Cowell's dilemma in having to pick between two of his acts to tragic Holocaust drama Sophie's Choice.
The heartbreaking story - made into a 1982 film starring Meryl Streep as Sophie - follows a mum who while in Auschwitz is forced by the Nazis to decide which of her two children to save from death.
Dermot used the phrase to question Simon on Sunday after his co-judges, Louis, Dannii and Cheryl, voted to keep Belle Amie at the expense of Diva Fever - both of whom are mentored by Simon.
The host, 37, said: "Simon, I have to ask, it's Sophie's Choice, but who would you have gone with?"
But the 51-year-old refused to answer - claiming it wasn't fair to choose between his acts.
Hundreds of viewers flooded internet forums to complain about Dermot's "insensitive" comment.
One said: "The remark was indeed in really poor taste."
Another said: "You can't compare X Factor to millions of people being killed in the Holocaust."
But others defended Dermot, saying the use of Sophie's Choice was simply a common turn of phrase.
The host later apologised on his Twitter page for any offence he might have caused, writing: "Hey, thanks for tweets re: Sophie's Choice.
"Obviously no offence intended, just off-hand reference to a film, not a serious comparison."

Things are reportedly getting heated between Cheryl Cole's 'X Factor' contestants, Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel.
According to reports the two are constantly arguing and the bickering is apparently causing tension with their other housemates.
Katie's mother has come to her daughter's defence yet again and told Heat magazine: "Katie's not confrontational. She's very diplomatic - if she was in a situation, she would walk away. She's all about karma. She doesn't like bad karma.
"But you're talking about two different people: one's 24 and one's 17. I think you learn how to handle things in life the older you get.
"Katie likes her time alone. She'll be quite happy to go into her bedroom and shut the door - it gives her inspiration to write her music when she's like that."
Of Cher, an 'X Factor' source told the magazine: "Cher's determined to win it, no matter what. It seems she's deliberately put a wedge between herself and the others. She's not there to make friends.
"Cher is very much the type to want to be the prettiest and most talented wherever she goes. She started wearing quite a lot of make-up and making her hair big because she got attention. It makes her feel...that no one can mess with her."

Former X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu could perform a duet with JLS at this evening's MOBO Awards, it has been claimed.
According to Metro, organisers hope to convince the 18-year-old singer to perform during the ceremony in Liverpool.
A source told the newspaper: "This is the first big thing for her since all the drama so she is really nervous. Organisers really want her to show up as she is so popular.
"Her mum does as well. She wants her daughter there on stage because that's what she loves doing. She's been really worried about her since she left the show."
They added: "We don't know until the show starts whether Gamu will agree to sing or not. She is expected to join lots of big names on the red carpet. We hope she doesn't get scared and back out."
JLS have reportedly revealed that they are "teaming up with a special guest" for their MOBOs performance, leading to speculation that they could perform with Nhengu.

Simon is really getting on my wick this year. He has no right to have a go at how Dannii and Louis behave. Simon and Cheryl are behaving like spoilt children. The 19-year-old from Reading pulled out of rehearsals after the sad news, but show insiders said they were confident he would be on stage on Saturday.
The teenager was one of four wildcards given a second chance on the hit ITV1 reality show after being rejected by Dannii Minogue at the judges' houses stage.
He is an outsider to win the show with bookmakers offering 84-1 on him triumphing over more established favourites like Matt Cardle and Mary Byrne.

The Canadian singer will return for his third outing on the reality show, following performances in the 2007 semi-final, the 2009 Big Band week and a 'Feeling Good' duet with Stacey Solomon in last year's final.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Cheryl Cole will also be playing 'Promise This' from her upcoming Messy Little Raindrops album.
The X Factor results show airs on Sunday at 8pm on ITV1.
minogue and louis are definitley the best judges in my opnion. They all have a right to voice what the think and cheryl and simon seem to think that when they do they are in the right. Dannii was completley right at the weekend to say she wasnt a fan of cher, finally someone speaking sense!

X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd has been awarded a spot on NME magazine's Cool List.
The 17-year-old singer from Malvern was a surprise addition to the publication's annual countdown of its favourite musical acts, finishing in 66th place ahead of established stars such as Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and Muse's Matt Bellamy.
Justifying her position on the list, NME journalist Jaimie Hodgson described Lloyd as "relevant and in-touch with exciting breaking music cultures". Speaking about her audition performance of 'Turn My Swag On', he added: "Watching her 'do her thang' in front of monsieurs Walsh and Cowell's dropped jaws genuinely felt a bit subversive and special."
Since reaching the live shows, Lloyd has won praise from the judges for her renditions of 'Just Be Good To Me' and 'Hard Knock Life'.
Laura Marling, who won rave reviews for her I Speak Because I Can album earlier this year, topped the Cool List.

'X Factor' finalist Wagner Carrilho has reportedly been recorded saying that the show is a "set-up".
The Sun has released a tape where the 54-year-old Brazilian contestant can allegedly be heard saying: "It stinks like a set-up. I don't think I will win because they won't let a Brazilian win."
He is also heard claiming that he is given bad song choices on the show, adding: "I never thought I could win anyway because I think this is more for some kind of British, English person, either a nice pretty girl or a boys' group."
He reportedly goes on to describe Simon Cowell as "the boss", accusing him of deciding who will eventually win the show and commenting: "Nobody tells Simon Cowell what to do. (…) Whoever wins it doesn't affect him because he earns the money anyway."
Wagner, who was brought back to the competition as Louis Walsh's 'wild card' act, is currently the bookies' favourite to leave 'X Factor' this weekend.
Some fans – including Yahoo! users – want Wagner to be voted off the competition. paulinedavies.1 said about Wagner on Yahoo! TV: "Shouldn`t be on the show anyway. Can`t sing", while walfordlewis commented: "Beats me how Wagner is still in the competition, he cant sing for penuts (sic). Makes me angry when you get someone like Gamu not getting through and people like him getting through."
Reports earlier this week suggested that he had moved out of the 'X Factor' house amid claims that he had fallen out with fellow finalists.

Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole now buddies
Relations have been cool in the past, but it would appear that finally Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue are becoming firm friends.
The X-Factor judges, who often go head-to-head in the style stakes, are believed to have bonded after what has been an eventful year for them both.
Singer Cheryl, 27, divorced footballer Ashley Cole amid rumours of infidelity, and was left fighting for her life after being struck down with malaria. And Dannii, 39, welcomed the arrival of baby Ethan with partner Kris Smith.
A source told the Metro newspaper that they've even opened the border between their neighbouring dressing rooms.
"It's the closest Dannii and Cheryl has ever been," the insider said. "In the past they've had little contact off camera. This year they have each other's number and are actually texting each other."
Cheryl is said to have been impressed Dannii's skills at juggling motherhood, working, and looking good.

Matt Cardle 'not convinced' by next song
X Factor hopeful Matt Cardle has admitted that he is "not convinced" with his latest song choice for this Saturday's live show.
This weekend, the finalists will perform tracks under the theme of Guilty Pleasures.
Speaking in his official video diary, he said: "I'm not convinced of my song choice this weekend.
"But I'm going to try my best to put in a good performance. Last Saturday was great for me. I was still pretty wobbly in places and still really nervous, but I'm starting to get a handle on that."
He added of his upcoming song choice: "It's as cheesy as it gets, man."

is it double evictions this week again
Several X Factor finalists are reportedly unhappy with the songs that they will perform on tonight's show.
The Daily Star reports that acts including Katie Waissell, Aiden Grimshaw and One Direction are demanding last-minute changes because they are uncomfortable with their choices for Guilty Pleasures week.
A source said: "They want a change even though time is running out. They're threatening all sorts if the bosses don't back down."
Waissell is due to sing 'I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)' from The Jungle Book. The source added: "Katie is at her wits' end. It's a terrible choice. She thinks someone on high wants her out because they know the song is the kiss of death."
Meanwhile, Grimshaw is expected to perform the Shirley Bassey song 'Diamonds Are Forever' and One Direction will sing 'Nobody Knows' by Pink.
Matt Cardle is also said to be unhappy with his song choice of 'Baby One More Time' by Britney Spears, as is Wagner Carrilho, who will perform The Spice Girls' hit 'Spice Up Your Life'.
A show spokesman added: "The contestants work with expert teams to find songs that suit them, their voice and style, and they make many of their own suggestions also."

Clear the floor I'm getting on ma soapbox. guilty pleasure night my a$$ where was all the cheesy abba songs? Total rubbish. Matt and Mary outstanding again. But I'm gonna get my sniper gun out for Simon and Cheryl. Once again pain in the ar$e Cher rap her way through her performance and was praised as if she was the first female to rap while Mary was pulled up for singing the same type of song each week. Hello isn't that what Cher is doing and at least Mary can sing. Aiden did well considering the poor week he had last week. The acts who didn't come out of their comfort zone were Simon's bands and Cher. As much as Kate is a pain credit due she did go all out for the guilty pleasure theme like Wagner who was top class. I hope that Cher and one of Simon's groups are in the bottom two tomorrow.

Mariah Carey is reportedly being lined up to join the judging panel on the US version of The X Factor instead of Cheryl Cole.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the singer is currently in negotiations with the show's producers and is "fully behind" the idea of starring on the show - if it fits into her work schedule.
Simon Cowell said: "Look, I've said I'd love Cheryl out there but whether it will happen, who knows? Mariah Carey would be an amazing addition to the US show. And she's exactly the right calibre of star that we want for the show."
Executives at US network Fox allegedly had doubts about Cole because of her lack of fame stateside. A source added: "The Fox executives are totally against Cheryl joining the panel. Simon has put her forward and is trying to persuade them she's perfect for the job.
"But they're saying that together with her accent being difficult to understand, and nobody knowing who she is, she doesn't have the star qualities to draw in an audience. They are going to be competing with American Idol's star-studded panel of Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez), and Cheryl just doesn't cut it compared to them."
Earlier this week, Cowell teased that "one of the most famous singers in the world" had enquired about joining the judging panel.
Meanwhile, Dermot O'Leary is expected to present the show after impressing network bosses, who think he could be "the next Ryan Seacrest".
Dannii Minogue has reportedly hired Victoria Beckham to style her X Factor appearances.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, the former Spice Girl called the judge after she wore one of her designs on last week's show and agreed to supply further clothes.
A source said: "Victoria thought Dannii looked stunning last week and called her up to tell her. She ended up giving her some fashion tips and promised to send her more dresses to wear for the rest of the show.
"Dannii and Victoria really hit it off and actually have quite a lot in common. Dannii has recently launched her own fashion label and promised to send Victoria some dresses in return.
"Dannii and Cheryl's fashion battle is almost as important to them as mentoring their acts. They are both desperate to look better than the other each week. But while Cheryl has two stylists, until now Dannii has done it all herself."
Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to launch a new National Lottery-style gameshow.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, the talent show judge wants to produce an interactive prize draw show, giving cash prizes to viewers who buy scratchcards. The programme will also include performances from Cowell's acts.
A source said: "Simon's really excited about bringing a new game show to our screens but everyone is sworn to secrecy. He hopes it will be good enough to grab the nation's attention and be as big as The X Factor."
Speaking last week, Cowell said: "I have to be very careful about what I say in advance because, the minute you announce something, somebody else comes along and pinches it.
"And I don't like to hype these things - if they work, they work. I want the public to discover them for themselves."
A Camelot spokeswoman refused to confirm whether or not the National Lottery operator has held talks with Cowell.

Wagner is the weakest singer but he get's top marks for his energy and enthusiasm. He knows he won't win and admits that he doesn't always like the songs Louis picks but he goes with the flow and gives it his all. I'd rather watch Wagner murder pop classics than having to suffer Cher and her two line rap crap, she calls singing. Got to be either Cher and Kate in the bottom two or Cher and One direction to wipe the smug grins off Simon and Cheryl face.
Next week's X Factor live show will have a Halloween theme, it has been confirmed.
Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh revealed the news on The Xtra Factor during a Q&A session with Konnie Huq.
Teasing his rival Cheryl Cole, Cowell joked: "It's a Halloween theme next week. So we chose this category especially for Cheryl."
Later, Walsh added: "I'm going to change things for the next few weeks with Mary [Byrne]. The theme is Halloween and I've got a few ideas for songs."
Earlier this evening, John Adeleye exited the competition after losing a sing-off with Treyc Cohen by three judges' votes to one.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
John Adeleye has become the fifth act to be eliminated from The X Factor.
Louis Walsh's hopeful found himself in the bottom two alongside Treyc Cohen after failing to impress viewers with his performance of 'Zoom' by Fat Larry's Band on last night's show.
Adeleye then did battle against Cohen in a final showdown, where he appeared to struggle with his chosen survival song, 'Because Of You' by Kelly Clarkson.
Following the performances, Walsh argued that Adeleye could "grow and grow" through the competition before backing his own act and voting out Treyc Cohen.
Danni Minogue was less sure of her decision, first praising Adeleye for "know[ing] what kind of artist you are", before accepting that Cohen gave a better performance of her survival song, 'One Night Only' by Jennifer Hudson, and voting to keep her safe.
Cole also stuck by her own act, voting out Adeleye while commenting that he didn't deserve to be in the bottom two.
With the deciding vote, Cowell stated that Adeleye had failed to live up to his initial promise and suggested that he hadn't "been looked after properly" by his mentor, finally giving his support to Cohen on the strength of her sing-off performance.
His fate decided, Adeleye told O'Leary that he would get busy writing his own material, while Walsh urged for somebody to offer his former act a record deal.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.

I felt sorry for John last night. I think he's a nice guy, but unfortuately nice people don't succeed in the music business. So next week is Halloween Theme. Is this when Jedward will appear? Why did Louis say Mary won't win, on the Xtra Factor? He can't be doing his job as a mentor then. And IMO Belle Amie need to reduce their egos - they think they know more than Cowell about music. I didn't enjoy Cheryl's performance. She was supposed to sing live but only sang the last few words live in the end. I only like the bit that goes "alu eta eta alu eta eta ..... aller" or whatever :searchme:

The cast of Glee will perform a medley of hits on an upcoming X Factor results show, according to a report.
The People claims that Simon Cowell is working out the finer details of a proposed appearance with the show's production team.
Cowell allegedly told the 'paper: "There are slight teething problems. Both X Factor and Glee's production teams want to be in charge of the set. Glee doesn't want [us] in charge - their brand is too strong to allow someone else to make decisions."
The musical comedy is currently airing its second season in the US and will return to UK screens in January on E4.

LIAM Payne has thrown One Direction's next X Factor performance into chaos - after hurting his ankle at a Tinie Tempah gig.
The 16-year-old singer sprained his ankle after tripping over some stairs and an amplifier while meeting the rapper on stage at Koko in Camden, London.
He had joined other X Factor hopefuls to attend the gig last night.
He was snapped limping out of the club with the support of two X Factor aides and had to see doctors after his foot swelled up.
Liam told Twitter fans today: "What a doofus! Fell over on stage in front of tinie tempah.... so uncool. Lol."
But his sprain is no laughing matter for Simon Cowell's boyband - as it means it's unlikely he'll be able to dance during Saturday's live show.
The lads were meant to rehearse their routine today but Liam has been ordered to rest his foot, putting their practise at risk.
If his ankle doesn't improve the group face having to change their song at the last minute to a less energetic number.
Cher Lloyd was also at Tinie's gig last night after TV Biz told how the rapper's producer Labrinth said he wants to work with her.
She wore some red lippy, gold chains, a white netted vest and blue jacket to meet the chart topper.
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old hopeful - who has previously described herself as a "little, scared girl" - admitted that she goes into "panic attack mode" before performing on X Factor.
She said: "To control my nerves I go into a little panic attack mode. I shut myself off from everybody and then I take a deep breath.
"Every time before I go on stage, I always think I can't do it, and that I'm too nervous to do it, but as soon as the music starts a little switch turns on and I'm ready for it."
Cher is intending to wow fans with a ballad on Saturday's show and says she'll ditch her "bad girl rapping".

X Factor contestant Mary Byrne has promised to show "more variety" in her upcoming performances.
The Tesco checkout worker was criticised last weekend for having three similar performances in the opening trio of live shows and Simon Cowell called on her mentor Louis Walsh to show more imagination in his song choices for her.
Dannii Minogue added: "Please sing a new song, a current song, because I think people young and old love you. If you could throw in some new songs, that would be fantastic."
Speaking in her latest video blog, the Irish singer said that she had taken the constructive criticism onboard and that she was hoping to showcase a different style this weekend.
"I hope I can change and do something different this week coming," she said. "It's a little different to what I normally do and fingers crossed you'll enjoy it.
"There's been a bit of criticism that I need to do something a bit more modern, we are all going to try I hope to do something a little different that sounds a little different. We want to show the variety of things I could do."
The X Factor airs on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
Shayne Ward has confirmed that he will return to The X Factor to perform his new single.
The singer won the ITV competition in 2005 and has since released two albums and had four UK top ten hits.
The Sun reports that the 26-year-old will perform his new single 'Gotta Be Somebody' on the November 7 results show - which will also reportedly feature Kylie Minogue.
"It's such an honour to be invited on," Ward said. "I've been working really hard on my new stuff so I really hope people like it. It will be great to get back on the X Factor stage."
A source told the paper that the singer "couldn't believe his luck" when he found out that Minogue would also be performing.
They said: "He's been off the radar for ages and now he's got one of the biggest gigs in town. It's a big favour for Simon to give him the chance as he could easily secure an A-list name to appear."
Ward releases his new LP Obsession on November 15.
ODDBALL Wagner will fight for survival tomorrow singing Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf.
He is bookies' second favourite for the shove this weekend.
But the barmy Brazilian was MOBBED by screaming fans trying to get his autograph at a London restaurant on Wednesday.
Cops were called as Wagner hid inside.
A source said: "He only popped out for something to eat."
Girl group Belle Amie are favourite for the axe after singer Rebecca Creighton was sent home from rehearsals with a sore throat.

Who are the guests this week?
More of this weekend's Halloween-themed X Factor song choices have been revealed.
Earlier today, The Sun confirmed that Wagner Carillho would be covering Meat Loaf's 'Bat Out of Hell'.
However, Louis Walsh has also dropped further details about this Saturday's show in a radio interview, during which he revealed that Mary Byrne would be singing 'Could It Be Magic'. He also announced that one act will be singing Michael Jackson's 'Thriller', one will be covering 'Relight My Fire' and another will be taking on Radiohead's 'Creep'.
Cher Lloyd is rumoured to be covering Shakespeares Sister's 'Stay' and ditching her trademark rap style, while Katie Waissel is lined-up to performed Ella Fitzgerald's 'Bewitched'.
The X Factor airs on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.

I love that song Cher is singing. I was thinking earlier she'd better not murder it, but then again may be she can so she can be booted off. It's time she ditched the one trick pony rap style.
Who are the guests this week?
didn't they say something about Bon Jovi.. or was that another show???
I would probably die if Bon Jovi was a guest, I just wouldn't be able to watch it tomorrow night as I'm out. I really like Cher, Rebecca, Trayc, Aiden, One Direction and Matt  Currently don't have a favourite to win!

I was at my sister's watching tonights show. And my niece was having a go at Cher before she came on sayng wonder what she is rapping her way through tonight. She started to sing this happy Halloween rap and in the middle I joined in singing "Just gonna stand there and watch me burn" It was fab. We're auditioning next year :D. Matt wasn't as confortable this week but still the best in the show.

Belle Amie have become the sixth act to be voted out of The X Factor.
The girl band sang Kelly Clarkson's 'Breakaway' in a final showdown with the other act in the bottom two, Katie Waissel, in the hope that their performance would win the judges' approval over Waissel's tearful rendition of 'Trust In Me' by Etta James.
After Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole both voted to save their respective acts, host Dermot O'Leary turned to Dannii Minogue for her decision, with the Australian judge voting out Belle Amie based on the quality of Waissel's sing-off performance.
The deciding vote then fell to Louis Walsh, who put the fate of the bottom two back into the hands of the public after opting to eliminate Waissel.
With the vote deadlocked, O'Leary revealed that Belle Amie had received the fewest amount of viewer votes, thereby sealing their fate.
With the girls declaring that they would be staying together after their exit from the show, the group's mentor Simon Cowell came on stage to predict the future of his former act.
"They've been a pleasure to work with," he stated. "I don't think it's the end for this group, they're survivors."
Cowell now has only one act, boyband One Direction, remaining in the talent competition.
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.

Me too Mini me Cheryl is getting right on my t*ts, Her and Cheryl should come on in matching outfits and Cheryl is moulding her into a mini Ms Cole. She could be a stand in for Cheryl when she does performances. It will save Cheryl the bother of turning up and mimming her way through a song.
Exactly my thoughts
Did Jay Kay do or say anything about X factor in the past cause the judges didn't give him a standing ovation like they do the other acts and Cheryl seem a bit peed off with him..
Jay Kay reportedly insulted X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue at the weekend
According to The Sun, the Jamiroquai frontman called the female judges "f**king useless" the day before he performed 'White Knuckle Ride' on Sunday's results show.
Kay was quoted as saying: "What are they going to tell me about f**king music?
"What the f**k. When have you ever done anything? You're useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I'd like to f**king shag you but that's all."
He reportedly added: "I just don't like the w**ky stuff I have to do. F**king X Factor and that. I'm going to have to sing in front of f**king amateurs. Do you know what I mean?"
After his performance on Sunday night, Jamiroquai seemingly got a poor reception from Cole and Minogue. Speaking to host Dermot O'Leary, Kay said from the stage: "I had reservations about coming on the show, but everyone has been charming and I've had a lovely time."
Jay Kay has declared that he would be open to becoming a judge on The X Factor.
The Jamiroquai frontman, who performed the band's latest single 'White Knuckle Ride' on tonight's edition of the talent competition, warned that he wouldn't mince his words should he ever secure the role.
"I’m quite up for doing it," he told the Sunday Mirror. "I’d be brutal, relentless and ruthless. I’d be saying, ‘You’re having a laugh, you’re not up to it, mate’. There would be none of that, ‘I think you were quite good. If you try to improve with this…’ I’d be like, ‘Forget it, go back to flipping burgers. Hop it'."
The 40-year-old motoring enthusiast also insisted that he would be happy working with Simon Cowell, who he previously described as a "codpiece".
"Many years ago I slated Simon to death, but it’s water under the bridge now and he’s actually quite a personable chap. Some of his comments on X Factor are legendary. These people are asking for it and, to be honest, I’d say exactly the same thing to them. Hats off to him."
Referring to his title as Top Gear's fastest celebrity driver, which he snatched from Cowell by a tenth of a second, Kay concluded: "But I’m still faster on the track as a 'Star In A Reasonably Priced Car'."

Simon Cowell has let slip that Take That, JLS and Westlife will all perform on the same X Factor show.
During the Xtra Factor phone-in, Simon was answering a caller's question about his last remaining act, One Direction, when he accidentally revealed the news.
Realising his mistake, he said: "I probably shouldn't have said that."
According to the X Factor's unofficial blog website, the battle of the boy bands will take place on November 14.
Recently, Westlife took a swipe at JLS over launching their own range of condoms.
"It does make you think, 'What the f**k are they doing?'" Mark Feehily told Metro.
Kylie Minogue and Shayne Ward will perform on the show next week.
Dannii Minogue has admitted that she hopes to return as part of the judging panel on next year's X Factor.
The 39-year-old recently denied rumours that she was planning to quit the show in a live announcement over the weekend.
Asked if she knew if she would return for the 2011 series, Minogue told Metro: "Nobody knows! We never know until the end of the year."
She continued: "I think that's good. It definitely keeps us on our toes. I would love to do this next year. I have always said that it's just such a big part of my world."
The Australian judge recently claimed that she is the "punchbag" on the current series.

The X Factor 2010 hopeful Cher Lloyd is a proud gypsy who wants to release a ‘Romany gypsy song’ on her debut album, her dad has revealed in an interview. Darren Lloyd also insisted his daughter was more than fine following concerns about Cher’s mental wellbeing after she won a place in the live finals.
Speaking at the family home in Malvern, Worcestershire, Darren said: ”Cher is extremely proud of her family background. There are strong Romany roots on her mother’s side and Cher is keen to learn more about her heritage.
”She would love to sing a Romany gypsy song on her first album.”
Despite fears about how 17-year-old Cher will handle the pressures of overnight fame, her dad insisted: “Cher was ill and couldn’t give it her all that’s why she couldn’t finish her audition. She’s absolutely fine mentally and can’t wait to perform in the live finals.”
He added: ”She feels stronger than ever and is very excited to be in the finals and just wants to sing, we’re all behind her.”
He has barely uttered a word in public for years and is notoriously private.
But pint-sized popstar Prince will make his comeback to the UK for the X Factor's grand final in December, the Mail can reveal.
A show source revealed: ‘Simon Cowell had been trying to get Prince on the show for so long, he is a massive fan and it is a big coup.
‘At the moment the plans are being kept under wraps – but it will make for the biggest X Factor final ever seen.’
The 52-year-old musician had previously been linked with a guest judge role during the audition round of the ITV talent show hit.
But the source added: ‘Simon wanted Prince on the show any way possible. An appearance at the final will be fantastic.’
All three remaining finalists on the X Factor perform with a star every year on the last show before the winner is crowned.
Previous winner Alexandra Burke famously duetted with Beyonce, while Joe McElderry performed with George Michael last year.
Robbie Williams duetted with last year’s finalist Olly Murs.
Kylie Minogue also made an appearance on a previous final, while Take That performed with another previous winner Leona Lewis.
Prince is due to fly in to London for the ITV talent show from his U.S. concert tour in December called Welcome 2 America.
Next year, the star will return to the UK once again and will reportedly headline Glastonbury music festival next year.
Prince has remained largely out of the public eye after raging at the internet.
He released his album 20Ten in July 2010 free with publications in the UK, Belgium, Germany, and France – and refused access to the album to digital download services

Bookmakers have slashed the odds of Cher Lloyd becoming this year's X Factor winner.
The 17-year-old singer's performance of Shakespeare's Sister's 'Stay' was rated as "the best of the season" by Simon Cowell and it has proved popular with punters as well.
Paddy Power has now cut her odds of taking home the crown to 9/2.
A spokesperson for the bookies told DS: "I think it's fair to say Cher Lloyd well and truly pulled it out of the bag on Saturday night.
"Her performance gave everyone goosebumps and she's now right back where she should be - amongst the favourites to be crowned this year's winner!"
Matt Cardle (2/1), One Direction (11/4) and Rebecca Ferguson (5/2) remain Lloyd's stiffest competition.
Meanwhile, Wagner Carrilho continues to upset expectations and is now being backed at 22/1 to win, ahead of Paijie Richardson (66/1), Katie Waissel (66/1) and Treyc Cohen (80/1).

LOUIS Walsh has had a dig at Cheryl Cole by saying fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is dressing more stylishly on the ITV1 show each week.
Speaking to heat magazine, the Irish music mogul said: "Dannii is looking incredible. She's winning in the style stakes, definitely."
Cheryl and Dannii have reportedly had a frosty relationship behind the scenes and Louis didn't do much to quash the rumours.
He said: "It's not a love-fest, but they get on as well as any two women who are on the same show would.
"When people play them off against each other, there's bound to be competitiveness."
The 58-year-old judge also laid into Cheryl's act Cher Lloyd, saying: "Cher has all those stage distractions because she couldn't just walk out and sing.
"She raps too much. It's the same thing every week. But Cheryl sees a lot of herself in Cher."
He added: "Why doesn't Cheryl take her aside and say, 'Stop making those angry faces?'"
However, Cher Lloyd wowed audiences on Saturday with a stripped back performance of Shakespeare's Sister's Stay.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly banned Cher Lloyd from changing her stage name to Cher-L because it is too similar to her own.
Programme bosses apparently want Lloyd to adopt an "edgier" one-word moniker but cannot use Lloyd's first name because it is already taken by the famous 'Shoop Shoop Song' singer.
However, Cole had to step in when it was suggested that Lloyd attach the first letter of her surname to make 'Cher-L', according to The Sun.
A source said: "Cher has already been called a mini-Cheryl and now she could end up with almost the same name.
"X Factor chiefs want Cher to change her name after the show to give her something a bit edgier and more fitting to her image. They don't like her having two names and think she should have something a bit different.
"She can't be known as Cher so the idea of Cher-L came up - but her mentor didn't like it as it was so similar to her own name. Cher loves Cheryl and values her input and ideas but it doesn't look like she'll get her way on this one."
Bookmakers recently slashed the odds of Lloyd winning this series of the ITV singing competition after her celebrated performance of Shakespeare's Sister's 'Stay' on Saturday's live show.
Former X Factor hopeful Gamu Nhengu and her family have been given the right to appeal against a decision to force them to leave the UK.
The 18-year-old, who reached the Judges' Houses stage of this year's competition, had been facing deportation alongside her mother Nokuthula Ngazana and two brothers, following the UK Border Agency's rejection of their application to renew their visas.
Solicitor Peter Farrell said today that the appeal would be heard at the Immigration Court in Glasgow on November 26, BBC News reports.
The family came to the country from Zimbabwe as Ngazana was studying at university. Nhengu and her siblings were given leave to remain as her dependants.
Last month, the UK Border Agency ruled that Ngazana's application to extend her visa did not "meet all of the conditions for approval", but a lawyer representing Nhengu's family said that it was as a result of an administrative error.
Nhengu was not selected by judge Cheryl Cole to progress to the live rounds of this year's X Factor, prompting anger from fans of the show.

WENNKatie Waissel could be asked to leave The X Factor, it has been claimed.
According to the Daily Record, the singer delayed the video shoot for the show's charity single by six hours yesterday after suffering a panic attack.
A source told the newspaper: "Katie is very fragile and we are very concerned for her.
"We are considering asking her to step aside because it is now really affecting the show. Her well-being is our number one priority."
The alleged insider continued: "Everyone is fed-up with her diva-like antics. They feel as though she thinks the whole show revolves around her... She's hugely stressed."
Waissel reportedly spent the night 'crying hysterically' and having further panic attacks.

'X Factor' Katie 'refuses to rehearse'
Katie Waissel has refused to rehearse ahead of this weekend's X Factor live show, it has been claimed.
According to Metro, the contestant is also upset at the song chosen for her to perform on American Anthems week.
A source told the newspaper: "She doesn't like to rehearse. She won't sing the song they give her, either.
"Right now, Katie is refusing to practise at all and says she would just prefer to go on stage and sing a song first pop."
They added: "It's not ideal after she publicly broke down after escaping the bottom two again last week. She's been told she needs to do a lot of work.
"After she was turned into the show clown last week, she is not having fun behind the make-up and insists her raw voice on the night is all she needs."
Yesterday, it was claimed that Waissel could be asked to leave The X Factor after allegedly delaying the video shoot for the show's charity single.

I hope Matt sings "More than a feeling" by Boston. I love that song.
This week's X Factor will have an American Anthems theme, it has been confirmed.
Previously, the Daily Star claimed that the programme would be bringing back Rock Week, but vocal coach Yvie Burnett has clarified the details of Saturday's show on the official website's F Factor video blog.
"You're not going to get away with being mediocre this week," said Burnett. "You're going to have to be outstanding."
Treyc Cohen is rumoured to be tackling Aerosmith's 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing', while Mary Byrne is expected to sing 'There You'll Be'.
Teasing her performance, Cher Lloyd said: "It's going to be hard to not be compared to the original artist, I need to sound completely different... Cher's version."

X Factor hopefuls Wagner Carrilho and One Direction's Harry Styles reportedly had to be dragged apart after a play fight turned nasty.
According to The Mirror, the incident occurred on Tuesday as the finalists filmed a video for their charity single - a cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes'.
"Trouble flared towards the end of a video session, when tensions were already running high," an insider told the paper. "Wagner, One Direction, Nicolo Festa, Storm Lee and John Adeleye had all sung a line together and immediately after it, Harry was told to jokingly rugby tackle Wagner as he walked out of shot.
"Unfortunately no-one had told Wagner what was in store. The next thing he knew, Harry was play fighting him to the ground and Wagner didn't realise the camera was still rolling."
The report claims that Wagner then lost it and squared up to the 16-year-old, threatening to head-butt him before stunned staff separated them.
"He looked pretty scary as he snarled at Harry, warning him he was a karate expert," the insider continued. "He then made as if to do an elaborate karate chopping movement, and shoved Harry, before staff stepped in and separated them.
"It was all pretty hostile and the atmosphere afterwards was terrible."
The 54-year-old was said to be 'mortified' when he learned that what Harry had done was part of the scene. He was allegedly warned about his future behaviour by bosses and forced to apologise to the cast and crew.
When the band and video directors later explained that Harry's tackle had all been part of the scene, Wagner was said to be mortified. X Factor bosses immediately warned him about his future conduct and demanded he apologise to both cast and crew.
A spokesperson for the show commented: "Wagner was just being playful. He feels like a 15-year-old boy himself and sometimes forgets that he's not. He's just a big softie at heart."
It was reported yesterday that Brian Friedman had branded Wagner "difficult" and "very touchy".

GAMU Nhengu could return to The X Factor after winning a first battle against deportation.
Ministers have given the singer and her mum Nokuthula Ngazana a chance to convince a court to let them stay in the UK.
And Gamu, 18, has vowed to head straight back to the 2011 auditions if she is still in the country. She made it to the Judges’ Homes stage this year and is already being tipped to win next year’s show by chief judge Simon Cowell, 51.
An insider said: “There is no way producers will let Gamu slip through the net next year.
“She wowed Simon at her first audition and he had high hopes, especially as she was such a hit with fans.”
Gamu was left out of Cheryl Cole’s final four, fuelling a hate campaign against the Girls Aloud star, 27.
The Zimbabwean and her family, of Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, were told by the UK Border Agency that they had to leave last month.
It followed allegations that her mum was claiming benefits that she was not entitled to.
Meanwhile Cher Lloyd, 17, is getting 20,000 views an hour on the internet for her version of the Shakespears Sister song Stay.
A show source said: “Matt Cardle was looking like the favourite but Saturday’s song put Cher firmly back in the race.”

So will Gamu get automatic entry to the live shows next year. That is not fair on other contestants, there maybe better singers than Gamu next year. It's not fair that she was put out in favour of Cher and Katie but that's down to Cheryl. If next year she's not as strong as other acts then she shouldn't go through. As for Cher being brilliant on Saturday. I must need my lugs clean out as I didn't think she was all that good. Given a good performance one week doesn't mean you're going to win. You have to be constitantly brilliant like MATT and she aint.

I'm getting bored of this whole Gamu business, to be honest!
Cher Lloyd has suggested that she will rap again on this weekend's X Factor.
The contestant's first audition and many subsequent performances have been hip hop tracks or have featured a rap segment.
However, Lloyd last week sung Shakespears Sister's 'Stay', which she described as "payback to people who have been nasty to me, and also to show people I can sing".
Of her song for this Saturday's American Anthems-themed show, Lloyd told The Mirror: "I love my hip hop and I think people will enjoy what I'm going to sing this weekend... I hope so anyway."
Regarding the attention that she has received from celebrity fans of her performances, she added: "It's great, but I'm still getting used to all this crazy showbiz stuff."

Does anyone know if Katie will be sent home from the competition this week? She's been having bad panic attacks and it's been affecting the show.
Does not look like it from this:
Members of Katie Waissel's family have reportedly asked the singer to quit The X Factor.
According to The Mirror, Waissel has brushed off the requests, despite allegedly suffering panic attacks in recent days.
A source told the newspaper that Waissel had been for a medical checkup, adding: "She woke up shaking and coughing in the night and Rebecca Ferguson was yelling for someone to call 999.
"She was rushed to doctors and they spent a lot of time doing checkups, with her parents looking after her. She's been a mess since Sunday.
"Katie was traumatised by being in the bottom two and isn't her usual self. Some of her family think it would be better if she left the competition now. But Katie isn't having any of it.
"Even though it is affecting her health she wants to try to turn things round. She knows despite all the problems the show is her best chance of success in the music business.

Little Miss Mini Me Cher-L should remember how she is still in the competition, it's because the public have been voting for her but that can change in a flutter of her fake eyelashes. She'd better enjoy her time in the limelight because in two months time no-one is going to remember or care that she was on the xfactor. She'll be joing Same Difference at a holiday camp near you as a Ms Cole tribute act.
RADIO 1 star Chris Moyles is trying to fix The X Factor so wacky Wagner Carrilho wins.
The tubby DJ, 36, revealed yesterday he is throwing his weight behind the Brazilian wannabe because he wants him to take the crown.
And he is urging his seven million listeners to follow his lead and vote to save the 54-year-old singer from the axe.

When former X Factor star Olly Murs, 26, said he believed Essex boy Matt Cardle, 24, was going to win, gobby Chris hit back: “No he’s not.
“It’s Wagner. I’m starting a massive campaign to get everyone to vote for him. When we put our weight behind him, no joke, it’ll be huge. It’ll take off.”
Despite his tuneless performances, the weird singer has managed to escape the sing-offs and stay in the show.
A show insider said: “If just half of the people who listen to Chris in the morning actually pick up the phone and vote for Wagner then he’s going to sail through to the final.”
Chris’s plot is reminiscent of last year’s campaign that kept show winner Joe McElderry, 19, off the Christmas No1 spot as Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name Of reached the top of the festive charts.

'X Factor' Big Band Week axed?
X Factor bosses have axed Big Band Week, according to a report.
It will be the first time since 2006 that the theme - which sees the hopefuls perform with a full orchestra - has not been included.
The Sun claims that the move favours finalists including Cher Lloyd and One Direction.
"While Big Band would suit Rebecca Ferguson or Wagner Carrilho, it could be a death knell to One Direction or Cher, whose main talent is rapping," a source told the paper.
The X Factor continues with an American Anthems theme on Saturday at 7.45pm on ITV1.
Heaven forbid if Mini Me and One direction are upset we can't have the kiddies having tantrums now.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has revealed that he is backing Wagner Carrilho to win The X Factor.
The actor admitted that he enjoys watching the 54-year-old wind up judge Simon Cowell.
“I love this guy," he told The Mirror. "He doesn't have the best voice, but he enjoys what he does and I respect him for that.
"It’s great just to see him wind Simon Cowell up."
Pattinson claimed that Wagner is "the sort of guy you'd do a drunken duet with at a family wedding". He also told the paper that Dannii Minogue had invited him to the studio to watch the show live.
"I really hope Wagner is still in by the final," he said. "If filming allows I'll be there, and I guarantee I'll be wearing a 'Vote Wagner’ T-shirt'."
Several of this week's X Factor American Anthems song choices have been leaked.
It was confirmed earlier this week by Yvie Burnett that the planned Rock Week had been ditched and instead all the acts would be singing popular US hits.
The tracks are always subject to last minute changes, but Katie Waissel is expected to tackle No Doubt's 'Don't Speak', following comparisons from the judges between her and Gwen Stefani.
Cher Lloyd will perform the Jay-Z and Alicia Keys hit 'Empire State of Mind' and return to her hip hop style, while Mary Byrne is lined up to perform Faith Hill's 'There You'll Be'.
Meanwhile, Treyc Cohen is expect to sing 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' and Wagner is rumoured to be performing the Elvis Presley classic 'Viva Las Vegas'.
On the DS forums there are also reports that One Direction will be performing American Idol winner Kris Allen's 'No Boundaries'.

MATT Cardle has blasted X Factor divas as "d***heads" for their treatment of stylists on The X Factor.
The singer told X magazine: "I get on really well with all the styling team and I wish I could tell some of the other people in the competition, just don't be a d***head.
"Some people get it into their heads that they're just there to put clothes on them or do their hair.
"It's not like that, there's a lot more to it. People should feel lucky to be in that position."
His comments come weeks after Katie Waissel said she was shunning the advice of stylists who put her in a helmet for the first live show.
Cher Lloyd also had a fashion meltdown while choosing her outfit earlier in the series and had to get mentor Cheryl Cole to lend her some boots.

The X Factor will hold a double elimination in the next two weekends, it has been claimed.
For the last fortnight, only one contestant has been voted off on the Sunday evening, while there were two double elimination weeks at the start of the live shows.
Dean Piper of The Sunday Mirror tweeted last night: "Double evictions for the next two weeks on X Factor. Who will go!?"
Simon Cowell apparently planned the surprise to be announced by Dermot O'Leary after every act has performed on tonight's show, which starts at 8pm on ITV1.
Wagner Carrilho has reportedly upset Mary Byrne after walking in on her nearly naked in the X Factor house.
The Mirror reports that the Brazilian, who is also alleged to have had a scuffle with One Direction's Harry Styles this week, refused to leave the room despite the 50-year-old's cries of embarrassment.
"She was changing before dinner and was half naked when Wagner waltzed in on her. She called for him to wait but he paid no attention," said a source.
"She was trying to cover herself up and yelling at him to leave. But Wagner didn't mean any harm and thought she was joking - so he went and sat on her bed."
The insider added: "Mary was feeling emotional anyway and lost it - crying and pleading with him to get out. When he finally did, she locked herself in her bedroom and refused to leave.
"She's really been struggling to cope over the past two weeks since her close pals Storm Lee and John Adeleye left the competition."
The X Factor continues tonight at 8pm on ITV1.
Cheryl Cole's decision to fly out of the country this week has upset her female X Factor contestants, reports say.
According to The Sun, the 'Promise This' singer has come under fire from all her acts - Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel, Treyc Cohen and Rebecca Ferguson - for "abandoning" them.
"It all got very nasty. The girls were at each other's throats - and Cheryl's. She couldn't believe what was going on. She'd only been gone a few days," a source claimed.
"Cheryl's been texting Katie a lot as she's been on the edge this week and Cher is quite needy too. But the other two interpreted this as favouritism and there were some really ugly scenes. At one point Cheryl threw her hands in the air and screamed, 'Enough!'."
Simon Cowell is thought to have ordered the producers to give the contestants a day at home in attempt to clear the air.

Is there a female in this country who is not in love with Matt Cardle. Just when you think he can't top his Bruno Mars version of just the way you are. He goes and reduces every hot blooded woman to a pile of mush with his Roberta Flack. How can anyone top him. I only have one little critism Dannii if your reading. Bring back the hat, we need to start a campaign to bring back the hat. Dissapointing night for Cher, Mary and Katie. IMO Cher biggest mistake is having Cheryl as a mentor. In her defence I loved her audition and good on her for having the talent to be able to Rap as it's usually young black american men who have a talent for Rapping, but it is not enough. She needs to ditch the rap while she's in the competition and concentrate more on the singing. I can understand how she is being labeled as a mini me Ms Cole, because she is 17 years old and Cheryl is her idol but it's doing her more harm than good. Simon is playing a shrewd game. He knows he has no chance of winning this year. He has his eye on Rebecca. He knows Cheryl is all for Cher and Katie and he is cunningly encouraging her to concentrate on those two knowing full well she will neglect Rebecca and Treyc. He is giving her rope and sitting back waiting on Cheryl hanging herself then he will swipe Rebecca right from under her nose and give her a recording contract. Based on tonights performances Cher & Katie in bottom two Katie to go.
mary had a bad song choice! it was far too low a range for her, from what ive seen, i was out last night so just youtubed the ones i wanted to see. Loved Matt.
Simon Cowell will reportedly meet his half-brother later today after 17 years apart.
Michael Bailey, 64, will meet with Cowell for the first time since 1993 following tonight's X Factor results show, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Speaking of the meeting, Bailey said: "I am really looking forward to seeing my brother again and having some time to talk properly. It is really exciting we can have this meeting and that he has set time aside for me.
"We have just recently got back in regular touch over the phone but I don't want to go into details. The only people who know the full story are Simon and I.
"I am pleased that he has arranged for me to go to the show. But The X Factor isn't really my cup of tea - I have joked that I will be taking a book and some headphones as the music isn't really my thing."
Julie, the pair's mother, split from Michael's father Bertram and later married Simon's dad Eric.
Cher Lloyd reportedly fled the X Factor house on Wednesday because of growing tensions with her fellow contestants.
According to the News of the World, the singer decided to make the 140-mile trip home to Worcestershire after being accused of receiving special treatment from mentor Cheryl Cole.
A source said: "The housemates turned on Cher this week and it wasn't pretty. They think she's become too arrogant and big for her boots over the last couple of weeks.
"On Wednesday night there was a heated bust-up and it all became too much for Cher. She had to get away from them and go and see her family. The producers are aware of it, and they know how vulnerable she can still be at times."
The star's last-minute journey apparently annoyed the producers, who ensured that she returned for rehearsals the next day.
Is there a female in this country who is not in love with Matt Cardle. .
I have to admit.. I cried after Matt sang last night.. there was so much emotion in that song and you could see it in his eyes (such beautiful eyes).. I cried.
Bad night for mary but Rebecca and Paije was outstanding last night and for the 1st time I really really enjoyed One Direction.. none of them should go. I see Cher was back to her norm and it was dreadful.. ditto Katie... Aiden has the teenage audience.. vampire is the in thing with them...

So did I Shiv. I was in tears laughing at Wagner then my whole emotions just changed when Matt started to sing. when it showed in VT and we knew he was going to sing the Roberta Flack song I just thought OMG this is it. This is when he puts it in the bag and he did. He has won it no doubt. Dannii must have been jumping up and down in her dressing room after last night, and who can blame her all three acts up their game. But she has to be careful and not do a Cheryl and start to neglect Paigje and Aiden. Aiden still hasn't blown us away yet, what he needs is a David Bowie song to blast us away. I will be very surprised if not at least one of Cheryls girls are in the bottom two tonight. Cher, Katie and Traeyc all looked uncomfortable last night.

My favourites were Paije and Rebecca last night. And One Direction were good too. Wagner was awful!! Cher was average, but it was a bit karaoke. Treyc Cohen has become the seventh act to be eliminated from The X Factor.
In a double blow to mentor Cheryl Cole, Cohen found herself in the bottom two against another female act, Katie Waissel, after they failed to impress judges with their chosen American anthems on last night's show.
In the final sing-off, Cohen covered Toni Braxton's 'Unbreak My Heart', while Waissel seemingly gave up part way through her performance of 'Here In My Heart' by Al Martino, shouting "Sod it!" and sitting down on stage.
When it came to the judges' vote, Cowell first declared that he considered Cohen to be "the better singer" but saw Waissel as "the more interesting performer". However, he ultimately sent home Cohen, figuring that the viewers would prefer to see Waissel next week.
Host Dermot O'Leary next came to Cheryl Cole, who refused to choose between her two acts and instead stated that she would wait until the other judges had spoken and send the vote to deadlock.
With Cole refusing to take part, O'Leary declared that the act who had received the majority of the judges' votes would be eliminated outright, before turning to Minogue who opted to send home Waissel.
As the deciding vote fell to Louis Walsh, the Irish judge declared that his head was telling him to save Cohen, while his heart was telling him to spare Waissel. Eventually, Walsh decided to listen to his heart, thereby sending Cohen home.
Her fate decided, Cohen speculated that she had lost "a connection with the people at home".
"I've had the best time, I've met some great people, I've made some good, good lifelong friends," she added. "I've had the best time, I'm so grateful."
The X Factor continues next Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.

Total farce no way Treyc should have been voted out. Cheryl bottled it she should have been made to vote or put it too deadlock and let the public vote. I bet it wouild have been Katie who was eliminated. If Katie is in the bottom two again next week she has to go. It's not fair that the judges keep saving her when she's not getting the public vote.
Cheryl Cole has explained her 'abstained' vote decision on last night's X Factor, claiming that it was impossible for her to choose between "my girls".
Katie Waissel and Treyc Cohen were both in the bottom two last night, but Cole refused to pick one of her acts to send home when it came to the judges' vote. Her refusal meant that the other judges decided who left and Cohen was axed with two votes compared to Waissel's one.
Cole was not allowed to send the vote to deadlock, despite expressing a desire to do so earlier on.
When probed about her non-vote on The Xtra Factor, Cole said: "It's just awful, you get to know these people and Treyc is in bits backstage. It brings it all back to reality.
"They are my girls. I see them week in week out. I love them for different reasons. It doesn't feel right [to send one home]. You have massive responsibility as a judge and I feel proud that all my girls got to this stage."

Dermot O'Leary has confirmed that this week's X Factor will have an Elton John theme.
At the end of last night's results show, O'Leary revealed that the remaining nine contestants will be "locking horns" as they tackle tracks made famous by John.
The theme week is a surprise addition to the show following remarks made by the veteran popstar in recent weeks, which included him criticising the X Factor format. The 'Candle In The Wind' singer described TV talent shows as "boring" and "brain crippling" and he questioned the long-term career prospects of the contestants.
Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh retaliated to John's remarks during a live show, claiming that this year's acts were proof that the show produced real talent.
JLS, Take That and Westlife will perform on Sunday's results show.

It's double standards. They go on about how Wagner should have been voted out weeks ago, but it's alright for Katie to remain in. At the end of the day it's the pulbic who are spending money voting each week and who wil buy the contestants cd's. Mr Cowell and Ms Cole will not be standing in the queue of HMV or spending their cash on Itunes so why should they be allowed to dictate who stays in the show. Cheryl bottled it as she knew Katie would have got the boot not Treyc. What will she do if next week Cher and Katie are in the bottom two will she still refuse to vote. We'll see how much it is a fix in the coming weeks when they release what the winners song will be. By rights Matt is the real winner but if they pick a song that favours one contestant over another like they did last year with "The Climb" and Joe McEldry. There was no way that Olly was going to win last year with that song choice and we will see what cheating the judges come up with to favour their acts over Matt. They'll have to come up with something to beat him because they can't beat him on talent.

X Factor finalist Matt Cardle has hit out at his fellow competitor Wagner Carillho, saying that it will be a ‘f**king joke’ if he makes the final.

Speaking to The Mirror Matt blasted:

She makes me sick now. And Simon is a joke too. He wants headlines and money, he probably doesn't care about real talent at all. Well done to Dannii for being the only one to see sense  They should get rid of the bit where the judges can choose who gets sent home. Cheryl is refusing to take the blame over Treyc's elimination saying it's not her fault that Treyc didn't connect with the public. Of course it's her fault she should have put it to deadlock and let the public vote but she knew that Katie would have went home last night not Treyc.Because Katie was the weakest singer of the two in the sing off. She mucked it up she should have went home.
The reason that Treyc doesn't connect well with the audience is that she was overshadowed a lot by Cher and Katie. Cheryl was too busy fussing over those two song choices that Treyc got the dregs. Cheryl never took the time to find out, which songs suited Treyc the best.
Dannii needs to be careful she doesn't fall into the same trap with the boys. Matt is red hot favourite but she needs to concentrate equally on Paije and Aiden. Paije came out of his shell on Saturday night and he was loving all the dance souldful music and Aiden needs some Bowie.

Katie Waissel has claimed that she was not giving up when she exclaimed "sod it" during her X Factor sing-off performance on Sunday night.
The singer survived the vote despite appearing to stumble over the lyrics and sitting down towards the end of her rendition of 'Don't Give Up On Me'.
Waissel told Metro: "I am in total shock about it. When I said 'sod it' that wasn't me giving up.
"That was me just trying so hard to get across the meaning of the lyrics as they meant so much to me. It was more frustration."
Following her third sing-off, Waissel previously suggested that she had under-rehearsed her latest survival song.

The father of Treyc Cohen has angrily blasted X Factor bosses for allowing his daughter to leave the competition, branding it 'a fix'.
Fitzgerald Cohen, 68, has called for an investigation into why her mentor Cheryl Cole was allowed to refuse to vote, meaning Katie Waissel remained in the competition after giving a shaky performance in the sing-off.
His comments came after his daughter came face-to-face with Waissel at the Pride Of Britain Awards last night - after admitted yesterday that she did perform better than her in the sing-off.
Mr Cohen told The Sun: 'It's a fix. It's as simple as that. I have no idea why Treyc is out. She was easily the best singer and should not have lost to Katie.
'Lots of things happen behind the scenes so certain contestants are kept in. The show is not about singing, it's a freak show now.'
He accusedMrs Cole of 'letting down' his daughter, claiming she had nothing to losehaving got so far in the competition with all four acts.
He added: 'She knew she was already one down after Simon voted for Katie, but refused to balance the score. There should be an investigation into why Cheryl was allowed to refuse to vote.'
An X Factor spokesperson said it was within the rules for a judge to abstain from voting - former judge Sharon Osbourne did the same thing in the first series of the show six years ago.
But while Treyc publicly backed her mentor's decision not to choose between herself and Katie, it has emerged that the judge's remaining acts have rounded on her.
According to show insiders, Cheryl's remaining three girls - Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson and Katie - have complained to Simon Cowell about how little they see their mentor.
A show source said: ‘The girls did speak to Simon and complained that Cheryl spends barely any time with them.
‘Cheryl went to Los Angeles last week, but it didn’t even matter really as she only ever really sees the girls on Fridays for a final run-through, when other judges like Dannii [Minogue] and Louis [Walsh] are working so hard – and Simon, of course, is spending all his time with One Direction.
‘Cheryl did have the girls in for a glass of champagne on Sunday night, but they are all a little peeved, to say the least, and tensions are running high.’
In an interview yesterday Treyc told how she thought she should have been put through because her sing-off performance was better.
Fans of the ITV series have taken to internet forums and social networking sites in their thousands to vent their fury - or support - over Treyc's booting from the competition. Over 1400 comments were posted yesterday on the MailOnline's story on the show alone.
After gracious appearances on The Xtra Factor and Daybreak in which she remained tight-lipped on how she felt about the scandal, 26-year-old Treyc finally aired her opinion during an interview on This Morning.
Asked by host Phillip Schofield if she thought she performed better than Katie Waissel in the sing off last night, Treyc replied: 'Yeah, definitely.
'Everyone has been talking about Katie’s performance and how she sat down on the floor and I know I finished my song and put my all into it.
'So if it was based on that then yeah, I definitely feel like I should have gone through.'
Pressed by Schofield on whether she thought her elimination was fair based on the sing off, she answered: 'Um, probably not looking at it that way.'
But Miss Cohen stood by her mentor's decision to not cast a vote, saying 'When Cheryl said that she couldn’t pick I completely understand why she never.'
Philip made his own opinions on last night's episode clear, saying he 'firmly believes' it should have gone to a deadlock.
Yesterday, on the social networking site Twitter, X Factor fans targeted Mrs Cole for her refusal to choose.
Many posted a joke relating to her unfaithful ex-husband Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole, saying: ‘What’s the difference between Ashley Cole and Cheryl Cole?
‘Ashley has no problem picking a girl to go home.’ Meanwhile, on the Daily Mail’s website, one fan, Rachel, from London, wrote: ‘Publish the “rules” of this so called competition for all to see.
‘Now ’fess up X Factor, let the public who have PAID to vote for their favourite, know who their vote would have kept!!!’
Jackie, from Manchester, said: ‘Mrs Cole is a damn disgrace. She gets paid vast amounts of money to be a JUDGE and acts like a spoilt brat when she actually has to make a decision.’
Over 1000 viewers even called Ofcom to complain about Mrs Cole’s refusal to vote, although the TV watchdog yesterday said it was not in its remit to take action.
During Treyc's interview, Schofield also asked the singer how she would feel if when the voting results are eventually made public at the end of the series, it turns out she did in fact beat Katie in the votes tally, Treyc insisted her elimination was meant to be.
'I’m not bitter at all,' she insisted. 'I’m a true believer of everything happens for a reason. Honestly, if I was meant to still be there I would be there.
'I am OK [about it], at the judged house I got the "no" and I thought that was it, then Cheryl came to my house with the wild card, so anything else was a bonus.
'I wanted to just get on that stage and sing, and I’ve been there for five weeks and proved to the nation that I can sing and that’s all I wanted to do. Anything else would’ve been a bonus for me.'
Miss Cohen said she didn't believe the judges had fallen for Katie's act, insisting, 'No… I don’t think they have. She makes good TV!'
She defended the 24-year-old's behaviour off-camera too, adding: 'She’s entertaining! She is entertaining and she’s a real drama queen but she’s got a heart of gold.'
Treyc also weighed in on Wagner, who received massive jeers from the audience when it was revealed he had made it through again.
'Wagner’s great. It’s an entertainment show, he entertains,' the Tamworth call centre worker said.
She added: 'Obviously when we hear his name come through on a Saturday night, we are like "Ooooooh" but I think he’s going to be there for a long time, I really do.'
Treyc insists she will be pursuing her singing career post-X Factor. She told Xtra Factor host Konnie Huq last night: 'I just hope and feel that this isn't the end for me.'
'I'd like to think somebody out there saw something in me and would love to offer me a fantastic record deal. I will so definitely continue singing. I feel like this is just the beginning.
'I have had a taste of something I have wanted for so long. This isn't going to be the end for me.'
As well as next year's X Factor tour, Treyc will perform this weekend at G-A-Y nightclub in London along with 2005 winner Shayne Ward, who was a guest performer on Sunday night's X Factor.
Tweeting ahead of her appearance at last night's Pride of Britain Awards, which honours unsung heroes across Britain, Treyc tweeted: 'I'll be attending the pride of Britain awards tonight I can't wait. It's going to be an honour to be amongst true stars x.'

I can see Ms Cole getting the boot after this year. It's been one complaint after another about her. Katie has to put in a perfect performance on Saturday night and I can't see that happening.

She has never put in a great performance from auditions to boot camp and even judge's house she fluffed it yet was still kept..

I thought it was Elton John?
Yeah I'm sure Dermot said it was going to be an Elton John night this week.
ELTON John has made a dramatic U-turn - agreeing to let all the X Factor wannabes sing his songs on next Saturday's show.
The superstar's tunes will be the surprising theme of next weekend's live episode, considering his recent outburst about the reality show.
Just a few weeks ago he branded it as "boring and a***-paralysingly brain crippling".
Talking about the programme last month, Sir Elton, 63, said: "TV vaults you to superstardom and then you have to back it up.
"Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke are at the mercy of the next song they can get. It's important they write their own songs, so they're not at the mercy of anyone. Songwriters today are pretty awful, which is why everything sounds the same. Contemporary pop isn't very inspiring."
His rant led Simon Cowell to vow to send him a tape of one of Rebecca Ferguson's impressive performances - saying he should eat his words for saying the show doesn't make stars.

Katie Waissel is reportedly planning to sing Elton John's 'The Bitch Is Back' on this week's X Factor.
According to The Mirror, Waissel hopes that her song selection will show viewers a more playful side to her character and demonstrate that she has a sense of humour about herself.
It was previously confirmed that this Saturday's X Factor live show will have an Elton John theme.
A source said: "Katie has been a diva but has also had her fair share of problems on the show, and the idea is this song will show she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
"The track shows she is up for a laugh and can see she isn't universally liked. It will be a bit tongue-in-cheek. She knows she can't be everyone's cup of tea but wants to get across a jokey element."
However, the source noted: "This could be the perfect song to do that, but clearly some people might take it literally because they have already made their mind up about her."
Waissel recently defended herself against accusations that she is 'fake', claiming that she is "just a girl that wants to go and sing".
DERMOT O'Leary let slip last night that X Factor WAS fixed.
The ITV1 show's host revealed a plot was hatched to save oddball singer Katie Waissel minutes before the four judges voted.
It RELIED on Cheryl Cole - mentor to both Katie, 24, and ousted Treyc Cohen, 28 - being made to vote early and abstaining until her fellow judges' verdicts.
Dermot, 37, outraged viewers by then giving her no say.
He said he was told: "If Cheryl decides to opt out we go to majority vote."
The plot - which involved refusing to let Cheryl Cole have the last say on who got the boot - was cooked up at the 11th hour, according to the presenter.
It means livid X Factor fans who accused the ITV1 show of a fix after Sunday night's travesty were RIGHT.
As mentor to both the acts in the bottom two following the public's vote, Cheryl was unwilling to choose between them as she and her fellow judges decided who to send home.
Bosses had banked on her doing just that - and went out of their way to make sure.
Viewers had expected that since her acts were involved, she would be the last of the four judges to vote.
She was instead asked to choose BEFORE she knew all the other judges' votes - so initially abstained.
With the decision at 2-1 to send Treyc Cohen home, Cheryl then desperately tried to level it at 2-2.
But Dermot enraged viewers by ignoring her - meaning she had no say at all.
Deadlock would have seen the singer with fewest public votes - Katie - being axed.
Last night Dermot lifted the lid on what happened with show chiefs behind the scenes.
He confessed: "We talked about it in the break because you find out two or three minutes before what's going to happen.
"My producer said, 'Look, if Cheryl decides to opt out we go to majority vote'.
"She did decide to opt out - and then she said, 'Come back to me and we'll do deadlock'."
Dermot defended not letting her put Katie's fate in the hands of the public by saying: "You can't do that because then it kind of devalues the other two judges' votes so that wouldn't have made sense."
But he admitted of the order in which the panel had to vote: "It would have been a lot easier for me for Cheryl to be last."
The presenter said of Cheryl abstaining: "There's no precedent to it so it's tricky."
He insisted he only followed the rules - but last night X Factor said there were NO rules.
A spokeswoman said: "Cheryl was well within her rights to do what she did. There are no official rules on X Factor."
Show supremo Simon Cowell has twice seen two of his acts come bottom - and on both occasions was the judge who got to vote last.
He even admitted on Sunday that Treyc was the better singer - but Katie made for better TV.
Yesterday pop babe Cheryl, 27, was unavailable for comment - as she plugged her new album in sexy snaps of herself sprawled in a see-through frock.
Around 1,200 fans have complained to ITV and Ofcom about Sunday's fiasco - with thousands more blasting the show on Facebook and Twitter.
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 32 - who was a stand-in judge during this year's series - said Treyc would be justified in thinking she was "unfairly treated".

Yeah and if Katie ends up in the bottom two it will be rigged again.
Yeah and if Katie ends up in the bottom two it will be rigged again.
No.. if Katie ends up in bottom two against any of the others except Wagner, and stays.. then it is totally rigged... If Katie and Cher are in bottom 2, I can see Cheryl taken the vote then to keep Cher and she would have no issue about it.. we all know Cher is her favourite and she will ignore the rest.. Shame really cause Rebecca is her best act.

If Katie and Cher end up in the bottom two and the judges are asked to vote the usual way with the mentor who's acts are in the bottom two vote last. Dannii will probably send Katie home as is the only judge with any brains this year. Simon and Louis might vote to save Katie again because they like her. This would leave Cheryl with the deciding vote either save Katie, save Cher and go to deadlock or chicken out of voting again and mimi me Cher-L goes home.
So if any Xfactor spies are reading this. Play by the rules. If Katie ends up in the bottom two again and she gives the weakest performance in the sing off she goes.
Dermot O'Leary has claimed that his quotes about last week's X Factor have been taken out of context by The Sun newspaper.
The tabloid lead with the headline 'Dermot: It Was Rigged', following his admission that the producers were aware that Cheryl Cole could choose to abstain from selecting one of her acts to send home.
O'Leary revealed that he had spoken with production about the possibility Cole would refuse to pick either Katie Waissel or Treyc Cohen and said that they had agreed that if it did happen they would go to a majority verdict from the panel, rather than let her vote last and send it to deadlock.
The newspaper implies that the production team were aware that Waissel had got less votes than Cohen and wanted to keep her in, rather than let it go to deadlock and the public vote. It suggests that this is the reason why the producers asked Cole for her vote second, rather than last, as has been the case traditionally when a judge has two acts in the sing-off.
However, in a statement on Twitter, O'Leary has clarified his remarks and has denied that there is any sort of "plot" on the ITV1 show.
"Just thought I'd clear up The Sun story. Bless them. Wrong end of the stick, as always. No 'plot' as quoted," he said.
"We never know which way the judges are going to vote. Ever. The only thing I know is who's in the bottom two when I'm given the card. I don't know which judge to go to until I'm called, and the judges, including Simon [Cowell], don't know the vote or who we're coming to next. It's that simple."
Meanwhile, in a new statement about the rules of the show, the X Factor team have insisted that Cole broke no rules in choosing not to pick an act.
"A judge can abstain from placing a vote," said a show rep. "Cheryl made it clear that she would not send anyone home and therefore abstained from voting.
"Dermot went back to her to clarify that it was going to go to a majority vote if she did that. Cheryl was unable to take the vote to deadlock as deadlock requires a valid active vote."

Dermot stop digging a hole for yourself. The whole of the country know Sunday night was rigged. The can release any sob story they want to try and redeem themselves but it's pointless.

X Factor star Katie Waissel has suggested that she is being unfairly targeted by the media.
The 24-year-old has frequently found herself at the centre of tabloid stories.
However, she claims they are "pointing the finger at the wrong person" when it came to "fake" contestants.
She told X Magazine: "I'm not an actress. I'm not being paid to play a villain role.
"I'm just a girl that wants to go and sing, that's it.
"So to get so much stick for something I haven't done... and also for them pointing the finger at the wrong person.
"[Because] people should really open their eyes and take a look around. It's not fair. But the truth always prevails in the end, and I'm trying to get my side of the truth out, which is what I'm doing now... I just wanted to make the point that I'm not fake."
She continued: "I find that awful. Why would people think I was ungenuine?
"Because other people on the show haven't been genuine, so they wanna make me that kind of person? No. I'll always be true to myself and stand up for what I believe in."
