    Exclamation Emmerdale Spoilers 7th - 11th August 2023

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...colin-captive/

Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas faces a terrifying ordeal next week as Marshall Hamston's father Colin gets even nastier.

Laurel is held captive by Colin after a trip to the local councillor's home takes an unexpected turn.

The upcoming storyline begins when Laurel receives contact from Marshall and his aunt Jean, who are planning a trip abroad together following the teen's recent departure from the village.

Laurel agrees to pick up Marshall's passport, as the schoolboy still can't bear to face his homophobic father. However, when Laurel arrives at the house, Colin appears unstable and locks her in Marshall's old bedroom.

As Colin has seized Laurel's phone, she's unable to raise the alarm and ends up being held against her will for days.

At one point, Laurel agrees to pray with Colin as she looks for a way to distract him.

Laurel seizes her moment and knocks Colin out with a Bible, but as she tries to rush for the door, she realises that she's still locked in.

Back in the village, Laurel's loved ones worry about her absence and her son Arthur raises the alarm that she was supposed to be picking up Marshall's passport from Colin's.

Growing increasingly manipulative, Colin forces Laurel to unlock her phone and he texts Jai with a misleading message, making out that she has relapsed.

When a police officer arrives at the house, Laurel hopes she's about to be rescued but Colin's manipulation prolongs her ordeal further.

In the end, it's Laurel's husband Jai and his secret half-brother Suni who take matters into their own hands by searching for Laurel, but will they be able to find her?
