In the circumstances the arrest was reasonable in my opinion. However. unless he admits it, he will not be charged

Did that not happen when he landed, we only saw a push. In real life the police would wait to interview Caleb, when or if, he woke up, before interviewing half the village. The problem here is there is not enough crime in the village, to keep them busy.
