I have a feeling that Spider is a bit of a champagne socialist. He goes on about the evils of capitalism etc, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's the type that goes around with the latest iPhone, and I guarantee if Toyah asks him to stay around, he'll probably make a few token 'objections'. I'd like to know what he's up to.

I'm also betting that something is going to happen to that savings account money.

Well, I know Corri is a dowdy street, but the number of Net curtains hanging on Windows in the 21st century, Really??

Surely some of the more "snobby" residents would be installing some window dressings that are a bit more "with it"

I would have thought Sally might have gone for Window Shutters.

Guess I am just sick of the miserable street.

Helping Faye is one thing but constantly telling her what is best for her and making decisions for her is not the way to go.

Net curtains? Is that the UK version of sheer or lace curtains?

I cannot say I have ever noticed the net curtains. When you live on a street of terraced houses without gardens you need something to stop people looking in. Even the other side of the street has very short front gardens, so the same problem. Shutters when closed make the room very dark, but if Sally was told they have them in Spain and the South of France, I am sure she would have them fitted tomorrow.
