Coronation Street has confirmed that Grace Vickers will return to the show next week.
Grace (Kate Spencer) was last seen on the cobbles in December, when she signed over parental rights to her baby daughter Glory.
Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) secretly paid Grace ?20,000 in exchange for her making this decision and departing Weatherfield for good.
In next week's scenes, Grace shocks everyone by turning up on Glory's birthday.
Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) is delighted to see his ex-partner, as her reappearance comes just as he was trying to track her down. He's still keen for Grace to play a role in their daughter's life.
Ed and Aggie are more worried, convinced that Grace will have some kind of nasty surprise in store.
Later in the week, Aggie is horrified to see Ed looking through the racing pages in the paper.
Ed is hoping to win ?10,000 in order to meet Grace's latest demands for cash.
Aggie is concerned that Grace's new threats have the potential to spark a relapse for Ed's previous gambling problems.
The couple agree that it's time to take the more honest approach by telling Michael the truth.
Ed and Aggie inform their son that Grace is blackmailing them.
They add that Grace only returned because she wanted more money, not because she wished to see Glory.
How will Michael react to the revelations? And what will Grace say when Michael confronts her?
