Hendrix and Mackenzie are both awkward over their almost-kiss, separately fearing they've ruined their friendship.
But before they can clear the air, Toadie makes things worse by overstepping in his role as pseudo-parent, making things even more complicated.
Meanwhile, having teamed up with Holden, Brent moves forward with his plan to steal the donated equipment for the Year 13 program. He and Holden break into The Hive.
Emmett is worried Brent is getting into something dodgy. Aaron and David have noticed his cagey attitude but don't think much of it. Nicolette, however, feels it's something more serious. Following Emmett, she walks herself and the baby right into danger.

A weakening Nicolette is still trapped and calling for help.
Nicolette falls unconscious, and without his cochlear implant, Curtis is none the wiser. Will someone find Nic and the baby before it's too late?
Meanwhile, Emmett's relief at having extricated Brent from committing a crime is dashed when news of Nicolette's dire condition is revealed. When Aaron and David demand to know if Brent had a role in the heist, a beaten Brent considers confessing.
Elsewhere, Jane, tired and worried for her daughter, is angry with Curtis and Susan for not listening to her about the power tools being a risk at The Hive. The future of the Year 13 program is in jeopardy, as is Jane's relationships with her work colleagues.

Aaron and David struggle to believe Emmett's responsible for the robbery, despite Emmett's defiant efforts to convince them.
As news of his confession spreads, others debate its validity too. No-one believes this was in Emmett's nature.
Suspicious, David tactfully encourages Brent to do the right thing and come forward. Brent knows deep down that he can't let Emmett take the blame for him. Will he confess, or will he do something else Brent-style?
Meanwhile, with her maternal fear still heightened, Jane continues to take her emotions out on Susan over The Hive project. The two women are left at a stalemate. But in the face of a simmering stand-off, Jane receives a surprising offer.

Faced with Harlow's ire, Paul stubbornly refuses to accept fault for Brent's actions.
Harlow is extremely worried about Brent and her anger with Paul won't dissipate. Unable to be around him, she moves temporarily into Number 30.
Meanwhile, the new Sheila hires Ned to give her art lessons and the two begin to form a genuine friendship, which doesn't go unnoticed by a slightly uncomfortable Bea. Has Ned got himself a new admirer?
Elsewhere, Mackenzie and Hendrix are determined to get their friendship back on track. But when Mack has to rain-check their planned hang-out to take care of Harlow, Hendrix realises how much he misses his friend. Is the disappointment he feels a sign of stronger feelings?

Bea can't help noticing the new Sheila and Ned sparking off each other, which coincides with hungover Yashvi not giving helpful Ned the recognition he deserves.
Her concern rises when the new Sheila brings her car in for a service and Bea discovers something quite worrying inside it.
Meanwhile, Ramsay Street's Sheila is flustered, trying hard to make a good impression on their sophisticated lunch guest Sheila. But Sheila #2 reveals she was looking forward to something more laid back. As the group relax, the two Sheilas find themselves bonding over the most simple, wonderful thing of all: family.
Elsewhere, when Mackenzie is assigned the task of moving Toadie's office alone, Hendrix happily offers to help. Determined to prove he's only interested in friendship, Hendrix makes a call that puts their friendship in jeopardy once again.
