Using a crowbar to break in, but no damage to the door?
I'm just wondering if it's me who has got the Government message wrong as I can't understand why everyone in Corrie wears a mask when they are not near anyone else, but then takes it off when they get close up and talk to people.....

It might have something to do with making it easier for viewers lip reading or just to make the actors speaking more audible in general. And they seem to stick to a fair distance when talking to one another .. when Ken talked to Roy under the bridge the other day they seemed 3 metres apart at least ..

I have been wondering the same thing. Like Perdita I thought it might be be to enable lip readers and clear speech, but sometimes they converse for quite a long time before taking their masks off, so that part of the conversation is lost to lip readers, and quality of speech does not seem to be affected by the masks. Does the director decide when they come off or is it left to the actor to, remove them as they see fit. It seems that the use of masks is just to recognize that Covid exists but not in a realistic way.
