I am pleased to say that we (The West Cliff Theatre) were awarded ?110,000 from the Culture Recovery Fund yesterday plus another smaller grant of about ?1500 from the Theatres Trust. It means our future is pretty secure now.

We are reopening on 20 November with a one-man show starring our old friend, Graham Cole. Of course, this depends on no return to full lockdown in the near future.

Great news Parkerman! I am so pleased for you & the Theatre. I am sure you are quite relieved. Good luck with the reopening (& hoping there is no further full lockdowns!).

More restrictions again for me in southern Spain... Curfew from 11pm to 6am, bars/restaurants must be closed by 11pm. As most Spanish do not start going out until 10pm for their dinners, they will have to rely on take-outs or home delieveries which are still aloud after 11pm. Face masks to be worn at all times when outside, even in a bar or restaurant, take down to take a sip of your drink or to put food in your mouth, chew the food with mask on. So far this will be in place until May 2021 but will be reviewed every 2 weeks so if this helps to bring down number of cases, these rules might be relaxed again. Stay safe everyone xx

we are living in crazy times. If everyone just paid attention to their surrounds i.e make sure there is a distance and that people wear the mask, we could get on as we did before. It is not hard. Our increase here is caused by family gatherings, and parties..

Same here ... people still do not wear masks when out and apparently plenty of partying going on .. I only walk my dogs and do necessary shopping and go to 2 local bars once in a while to try and support them, especially as one is run by a single parent and she is struggling. Some are saying this will last for around 2 years ...

The whole of Murcia in Spain will shut all bars and restaurants from Saturday onwards ... take-outs and deliveries are still permitted. I know that some businesses will not survive this... I think it is for 2 weeks to start with and then gets reviewed. The virus is rampant here and I expect a total lockdown again which was rather more severe than it was in UK...

Our new lockdown means we have had to postpone opening our theatre. Graham Cole has been put off to January now.
