I can't see her agreeing to that. She wants him prosecuted. Why would she do that? In any case, I know Weatherfield has its own laws, but in the UK, a case of attempted murder does not need the victim to press charges. It is up to the CPS.

True, but if the victim refuses to to cooperate and give evidence, even though they can be held in contempt of court , it could be difficult to get a conviction.
