Her story brought back bad memories for me as I was an A/B student when I was 14 and then because I was looking after a family became a C/D grade student. I walked into my exams and just put my name on the paper and then teachers realised something was up at home. My mum went abroad for 4 years ......she was only going to go for 3 months! I lost my childhood from that point.

Thanks. He is letting her do too much. He should get a care assessment and could get a carer in three times a day.

Coronation Street has revealed that Billy Mayhew will get a new love interest in 2019.

Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) will strike up a bond with David Platt's former cellmate Paul Foreman when he re-joins the show in January.

Paul is returning to the cobbles on a more permanent basis and it's already been reported that an early plot twist will see him revealed as the brother of Gemma Winter.

Scenes airing in the New Year see Paul (Peter Ash) arrive on the Platts' doorstep unexpectedly after being released from prison.

Paul makes himself at home at Number 8 and explains to David (Jack P Shepherd) that he's looking for work as he hopes to turn his life around.

The ex-con faces disappointment when he tries to land a job at The Rovers, where Johnny explains that they're already fully staffed.

Things look brighter when Billy convinces Carla Connor to give Paul a chance, as part of the government’s rehabilitation scheme for former prisoners.

Paul is delighted over Billy's help and starts to look at him in a new light. Not shy about his feelings, Paul makes his intentions clear when Billy quizzes him about his relationship status on behalf of Izzy Armstrong.

Paul responds to Billy's questioning by flirting with him, leaving the vicar flustered. Is Billy finally ready to move on with his life after a year without Todd?

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has confirmed he is leaving the ITV soap after 11 years in the role of Billy Mayhew.

Digital Spy understands that Billy, who debuted on the soap back in 2014, will leave the cobbles in 2026 as part of a major exit storyline.

Further details about the storyline, which will see Billy be "tested in ways he never imagined", are being kept under wraps for the time being.

Addressing his exit, Brocklebank said: "I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life. I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.

"I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds."

"Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit," added Corrie producer Kate Brooks.

She continued: "We?re incredibly sad to bid farewell to Dan, who has been fantastic in some of Corrie?s biggest storylines over the past few years, most notably Paul?s MND.

"An actor of immeasurable talent and skill, and an absolute treasure behind the scenes - he will be missed by all of us on the cobbles."

Brocklebank's exit is the latest notable departure from the ITV soap, with Helen Worth making her final appearance as Gail Platt over the festive period, while Sue Cleaver is set to bow out as Eileen Grimshaw later this year.

Meanwhile, Colson Smith's final scenes as Craig Tinker aired this week, when the character tragically died in hospital after being attacked by Mick Michaelis.

Reflecting on his time on the soap after the episode aired, the actor, who joined the show in 2011, explained how he felt when he found out that Craig was being written out.

"When I was called in for the chat with Kate Brooks, I'd already braced myself for what was about to happen," he explained.

"I have been in that building since I was 12 years old, so I know exactly how it works and that my time was up!

"I knew that Craig had backed himself into a corner that was going to be really hard to get out of, so I fully expected the chat to go that way."

Coronation Street may be planning to kill off a long-running character after 11 years on the Cobbles.

The Sun is claiming that Billy Mayhew will be making a permanent exit, and while the details are still be worked out, the soap's bosses are reportedly thinking about a Christmas or New Year death for maximum impact.

A spokesperson for Corrie told Digital Spy: "We don't comment on storyline speculation."

What we do know for certain though is that Billy's actor Daniel Brocklebank is leaving the soap, even if the door is left open for his return.

"I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life. I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work," he said in May while announcing his exit.

"I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds."

Corrie's executive producer Kate Brookes also teased the character's exit at the time, sharing: "Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit."

During his time in Weatherfield, Billy has struggled with drugs, faced troubles becoming Summer Spellman's legal guardian, and had relationships with Sean Tully, Todd Grimshaw, and Paul Foreman ? the latter of which ended in tragedy due to Paul's motor neurone disease.

Don't tell me. He gets shot by a member of a new family that has just moved into the street and then spends several weeks in the one bed Weatherfield General has before dying. Meanwhile the new person is arrested by Kit and put in the one police cell in Weatherfield nick. It turns out that the killer is Billy's long lost son who he knew nothing about.

You should apply to become a scriptwriter for Corrie or Emmerdale, probably for the other soaps I do not watch too ....
