Monday (1)Peter explains to Ken how desperate Toyah is for a baby and persuades him to lend him the money for a consultation at a private fertility clinic. When Peter announces that he's booked an appointment for this afternoon, Toyah is thrilled.

However, when Toyah witnesses Leanne forgiving Eva for her part in keeping Toyah and Peter's relationship a secret, she gets jealous and follows Leanne into the Victoria Court lift. Once there, she rails at Leanne for her jibe about her not being a mum.

Suddenly the lift judders to a halt. Having discovered the alarm isn't working and there's no phone signal, the girls start to panic - especially when Leanne's waters break.

Meanwhile, Steve tells Robert that Michelle confessed to trying to kiss him, but she deeply regrets it and he hopes they can remains friends. Will Robert mask his hurt? Steve and Michelle then head off to the seaside with Ruairi's ashes.

Elsewhere, after spending the night at Nathan's, Bethany returns home and lies to Sarah and Gary - telling them that someone nicked her phone and she crashed on Mel's sofa. But when Rana and Kate enquire after Bethany and reveal that they found her drunk in town before heading off with some bloke who she knew, Sarah is fuming.

Also, Craig is annoyed to discover that Liam has let Darryl escape from his cage.

Finally, Brian assures Roy that he'll look for alternative lodgings when they continue to rub each other up the wrong way.

    Monday (2)

When Toyah fails to show at the fertility clinic, a puzzled Peter apologises and leaves. At the same time, upon hearing Leanne's cries, Robert sets off to get help. As Leanne's contractions increase, she cries out in pain and grips Toyah's hand. Rana also shouts up to Leanne from the lobby, offering her birthing advice.

The ambulance arrives at Victoria Court, as do a panicked Nick and Eva, but will they be able to get into the lift to help Leanne before her baby is born? And will the dramatic events of the day bring about a reconciliation between the sisters?

Meanwhile, Sarah confronts Bethany, who is clearly under pressure and admits that she stayed at Nathan's flat. Bethany explains that he's her boyfriend and he rescued her when she collapsed. When Sarah wants to know if they've had sex, Bethany assures her they haven't, but is she telling the truth?

As their row escalates, Sarah bans Bethany from seeing Nathan again. Will Bethany accept this, or has Nathan got her just where he wants her?

Elsewhere, at Cathy's suggestion, Brian cooks Roy's favourite meal and apologises for failing to pull his weight. Will Roy relent and agree he can stay?

    Wednesday

As Toyah cuddles the baby, Leanne announces that they're calling him Oliver. Clearly the proud dad, Nick reveals that he's booked them an appointment to register the baby's name tomorrow afternoon.

Back at home, the Platts visit the new baby. Peter and Toyah discover they both know that Nick is not the baby's father and it must be very difficult for him.

Later, alone at last with their new baby, Leanne breaks the news to Nick that she doesn't want his name on Oliver's birth certificate as it would seem wrong. How will Nick react to this?

Meanwhile, when Michelle finds out Leanne has had the baby, she is emotional but genuinely pleased for her and insists they visit. Steve is horrified at the thought, but knows he must play along for her sake. Making out he's too upset as it stirs up memories of Ruairi, Steve waits outside Victoria Court while Michelle heads up to see Leanne's new baby. How will Michelle cope?

Elsewhere, Aidan returns from Spain and is annoyed to find Jenny ensconced in the factory office. Jenny explains how she's in the process of developing a new range of specialised bras and Richard Drake has placed an order.

Also today, Liam is desperate to see Maria in prison.

    Friday (1)

Michelle confides in Steve that she'd like to try for another baby. Steve admits the idea scares him, but suggests they discuss it over dinner at the Bistro. After talking to David, Leanne tells Nick that she's had a change of heart and she wants his name on the birth certificate. Nick is thrilled, but as they're about to leave, David stops them and explains that the Register Office will have to wait as Gail has organised a party in the Bistro to celebrate the birth of their baby.

As the Platts gather in the bistro, Michelle and Steve are forced to watch the party from their table, with both struggling to mask their conflicting emotions.

Meanwhile, Jenny resolves to try to win Richard Drake round, but Johnny warns her she's wasting her time and could damage relations permanently. Jenny scrolls through some photos from the Gazette.

After finding one of Richard Drake with his hand on his PA's bottom, she prints it off and pleased with herself. What has Jenny got up her sleeve?

Elsewhere, as Eva readies herself for visiting Maria in prison, Aidan masks his guilt. In the prison visiting room, Liam spots Maria and throws himself into her arms as Maria cries tears of relief.

Also, Yasmeen remarks that there's clearly a spark between Cathy and Brian. Cathy is bashful, admitting she finds him attractive. But how will she react when Brian invites her to join him for coffee?

    Friday (2)

Aidan stumbles across the incriminating photo of Richard Drake on his computer and realises Jenny's intentions.

Jenny spells out to Richard Drake that either he reinstates his order and doubles the quantity, or his wife gets a copy of the photo. Richard is fuming, but will he admit defeat and bow down to Jenny's demands?

Meanwhile, baby Olly's welcoming party continues.

Elsewhere, under pressure from Liam, Maria reluctantly agrees he can stay with Eva and Aidan. Arriving home, how will Aidan react to this?

Also, Cathy joins Brian for a drink in The Rovers.

Ken suddenly seems to have a lot of money! He's helping Daniel out financially, was going to give Adam enough money to start his law firm, and is now handing money over to Peter to pay for the fertility clinic. He and Deirdre were forced to sell their house to a company that rented it back to them to pay Tracy's legal fees - but that's long since been forgotten...

Over on Coronation Street, Eva Price makes a decision that leaves Aidan Connor squirming after she visits Maria in prison.

When Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) heads to the jail to see Maria, she insists on taking Liam with her – convinced that it'll do mother and son the world of good as they're both clearly missing each other.

Eva's bold decision pays off as Maria (Samia Longchambon) relishes her reunion with Liam after two months behind bars, but there's another surprise when talk turns to living arrangements.

As Liam admits that he'd rather be living with Eva and Aidan than Kirk, Maria reluctantly gives her blessing for it to happen – even though she's still harbouring some bitter resentment towards Aidan after he abandoned her in her time of need.

Later, Aidan (Shayne Ward) can't believe his eyes when he returns home from a busy day to find Liam sharing a pizza with Eva.

Eva drops the bombshell that Liam will be staying with them until Maria is released from prison, but will this make life for Aidan more awkward than ever as he desperately tries to forget his affair with Maria?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, February 24 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
