I noticed that too and I usually find her pretty good. I do think the scene where Glenda shrieked about her babies when she first saw the hearse was written as deliberately over-the-top and false in order to prove Aunt Sal's accusation of attention seeking correct.
I wonder if Glenda will really stick around? I'm not convinced she really wants Matthew or to help bring up her grandkids. Could Danny's lame extortion attempt have been part of some scheme they cooked up between them?
Agreed. It was a hard-hitting scene and was played very well.
That was an excellent scene because there were several different levels to it. It was shocking (in that the beating went on for long), amusing (Max's nonchalant ketchup application), and also gave us some much needed insight into Max's state of mind.
