Ronnie isn't a cold-blooded killer though (yet, anyway). It's quite a leap to go from accidentally killing someone in self-defence and planning the murder of your husband. I know Ronnie's cold but I'm not sure she's capable of that.

Who knows the aftermath with Charlie has just turned into a mess now. They would have to have known where Charlie was to get a divorce. Not sure why he would let Ronnie know where he was though. I know it wouldn't have to be Ronnie personally as the papers probably just go through lawyers etc but still wouldn't they (lawyer) need to know where he was living to get papers to him And pretty sure Roxy was the only one to speak to him since? when he confirmed to her she was ok. But now it could be that Dot could call him to tell him about the deaths. Unless she assumes he is with Yvonne but he hated Yvonne in the end so he wouldn't be with her and she wouldn't know where Yvonne was either. Too many questions. Hopefully Charlie does get Matthew though. It's only right and I'm not sure I like the idea of Dot keeping him in the dark. If she knows where he is then she should let him know. She has no loyalty to Glenda

It looks like EastEnders is lining up a dramatic return for Charlie Cotton as part of a mysterious storyline involving Max Branning.

Dot's grandson Charlie hasn't been seen since 2015 when he was scared out of Walford by Vincent Hubbard, but his character has become more relevant recently after Ronnie and Roxy were both killed – leaving his son Matthew in the care of Jack Branning.

With Ronnie gone, rumours have been rife that Charlie could reappear at some point after Dot was seen trying to make contact him – but to no avail.

But it looks like we will be seeing Charlie again very soon as Declan Bennett has been spotted filming scenes on location with Jake Wood, who plays Max. And of course, it's sparked speculation that the pair could be up to no good.

Viewers know that Max has been playing the long game ever since he arrived back on Christmas Day last year, and is currently hiding a dark secret about his real reason for returning to Albert Square.

Although he appears to be a transformed man, it's become increasingly apparent that Max has an almighty revenge plan having seemingly teamed up with a mysterious new character, who has some big and worrying plans for Walford.

Further storyline details about Charlie's return are currently under wraps at the moment, but the pap pictures hint that he could be plotting with Max over Matthew – in a move that is bound to devastate Jack even further.
