Ah age is just the number of years its taken us to realise most parties suck and that a nice night in watching other fools on tv try and entertain us while we scoff down a diet coke is way more fun.

In my case it's a nice refreshing cup of roiboos tea.

Roiboos tea.. had to research it,(I never say the main brand of search engine as the gits dont pay tax) wow thats some healthy hot water! Stopped drinking Tea yonks ago re the caffeine, decaff never did it for me.

Had a horrible night and its continuing, Ive done something to my leg after what was supposed to be a healthy walk, I just tripped on the door step, then I was in agony. I know Im a man and we dont do pain well, but I get cluster headaches also known as suicide headaches but this pain rated right up there!

First called 111 they got the on call doctor to call me back and he advised going to A & E, not able to sit down without pure agony I couldnt go by car ? Spoke to 999 explaining not life threatening quickly got passed to a paramedic at ambulance control , in the end they said they would come collect me but there were loads of shouts going on so it would be a while.

I rang back after a short time and cancelled them coming, I wouldn't want a unit taken up by a bod like me if I really needed them stat. Plus Im stressing out the landlady, will suck down some more pain killers and get a taxi in the am.

Looks like my isle of wight ferry trip is on the rocks.. did ya see what I did there

    Ill get my coat.

OMG so sorry to hear about your leg injury Splashy! I hope the painkillers dull your agony enough for you to get some sleep. Good luck for the hospital visit, I'll be thinking of you.

Also sorry to hear about your accident Splashy, from what you've said would have thought emergency treatment would not have been a waste of resources. Hope everything goes OK at the hospital.

    .
Must confess Dazzle never heard of roiboos tea before. Just finished reading up on it, seems like a good product. Could I ask what brand you use ? Is it on the supermarket shelves?

Yes it's available in most supermarkets in the tea section. It's also known as redbush tea (roiboos means redbush in the language of the shrub's native country). I've bought a variety of brands and found them all much of a muchness really.

I stopped drinking black tea because I have low iron, and ordinary tea (and coffee) inhibits iron absorption. It's also caffeine free and choc full of lots of healthy stuff. I already knew of redbush tea because my mum's drunk it for years so she suggested it as the closest thing available to black tea. It took a bit of getting used to but I really like it now and drink it out of preference.

Thanks Dazzle ,I have seen Redbush tea and wrongly assumed it was a brand name. I drink far too much black tea, 240 tea bag pack barely lasts me a month ( I'm the only one who drinks tea here ) unhealthy for sure.

I used to be much the same with black tea. It's not unhealthy per se, in fact it contains some really good stuff, but if you want to cut down then swapping some or all of the black tea you drink with roiboos might suit you.

As with any new flavour, it's worth persevering before making a judgement on whether it's for you or not.
