Jack and Honey do seem to be getting close and in soaps men and women can't be friends without sex at some point
is scott leaving?
Tensions run high on EastEnders next week as Jack Branning receives some surprising news from the coroner.
Jack (Scott Maslen) has been left devastated after his wife Ronnie and sister-in-law Roxy were both killed in a horrific swimming pool accident on New Year's Day.
Tragedy struck just hours after Jack and Ronnie had tied the knot in a lavish ceremony, crushing their hopes of a happy new life in Ongar with their family.
We've already seen some emotional performances in the fallout from the Mitchell sisters' demise, but there's more to come next week as Jack faces a particularly difficult day.
First of all, he has to see his kids Amy and Ricky off for their first day at their new school, despite Ronnie and Roxy's mum Glenda warning that it may be too soon for the children.
Once alone, Jack tries to distract himself as he waits for the imminent coroner's report, but he can only avoid the inevitable for so long.
After finally hearing the truth from the coroner, Jack struggles to process the news and a raging argument soon follows between him and Glenda.
But what has Jack just been told? And why are things getting so heated with Glenda?
Following Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell's tragic deaths on EastEnders, star Scott Maslen (Jack Branning) has opened up about coming to terms with the death of his on-screen wife.
In the dramatic New Year's Day episode, we saw the sisters' tragic end after Roxy plunged into a swimming pool and never came up.
Ronnie, who had just wed Jack, went in after her sister and also tragically drowned.
Speaking about filming the aftermath – notably when Jack broke down while saying goodbye to Ronnie – Scott admitted that the storyline was "very draining".
"Even though it's fiction you still have to take yourself to that dark place in order to do the scenes justice," he told OK! magazine.
He quipped: "I certainly drank a lot more beer."
However, when pressed on whether he thought it was right to kill off the Mitchell sisters, Scott added: "That's the nature of soaps.
"It's always changing to give people the shock element and to keep people on their toes.
"I know people think that their characters shouldn't do certain things, but it's just the world we work in."
Since their shock deaths, it's emerged that Roxy apparently had a heart attack while in the swimming pool.
