Coronation Street villain Pat Phelan will commit one of his most malicious crimes yet later this month when he torches Jason Grimshaw's van.

Phelan (Connor McIntyre) is currently scheming to get his hands on Jason's inheritance money and business, but future episodes will see him spot an opportunity to get him out of Weatherfield for good.

With the police satisfied that his late father Tony Stewart was the culprit responsible for Callum's murder, Gemma Winter will warn Jason (Ryan Thomas) that Callum's friends are now out for revenge.

When Phelan and Jason head back to the yard, they're shocked to find the van on fire and the blame is quickly directed towards Gemma based on her earlier threats.

Although Gemma denies all knowledge of crime, Phelan sows the seed in Jason's mind and suggests he should take a break until the Tony scandal has died down.

However, once alone, Phelan furtively phones his mate and thanks him for torching Jason's van. Will his latest scheme get him the results he wants?

As have Steve and Michelle, I just can´t believe that both are heartbroken over their current relationship status ...
Steve had believable relationships with Karen and Becky, shame that a return for either is unlikely to ever happen

Is Leanne's visitor Steve but why?

Jason's exit sounds pretty bad, leaving because Phelan has convinced him that Gemma and Callum's mates want to kill him

Seems strange and sudden pairings are norm in soaps these days and of course they have to meet so they can have a one-night stand with her ending up pregnant *yawn*

If that is all to Jason´s exit, it is an even worse exit than Carla´s and that was poor writing
