...then again? what are they meant to ask an actor who hasn't had any decent material in months?

The interview which Iain talked about him, I think Michael said in the background that a storyline was on the way but his lips are sealed as to what it is. I THINK.
Well if Iain pays any attention to social, which he seems to do he will realise how popular Ross is from the last few episodes. When he is cracking jokes/one liners, winding people up but at the same time speaking up for those he loves he is great to watch. The actor who plays Pete also said that Pete will start telling a few lies of his own and might become a slightly more edgy character. I hope they dont make him too much like Ross. However Pete could never have as much charisma as Ross.

Pleased to hear him talking about Mike and how important Ross is. Haven't heard much up until now. It's good to hear he likes the Bartons aswell and sees them as an important family. Hopefully something big for them coming soon

Will the producers still have plans for Ross Barton?

Emmerdale star Michael Parr has told Digital Spy that he's still waiting to hear whether he'll be sticking with the show beyond October.
The actor, who plays fan favourite Ross Barton, spoke to us on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards 2016 ahead of Emmerdale's huge victory at the event.
With some viewers complaining that Ross isn't on screen enough at the moment, hit play above to see what Michael had to say when we asked about the bad boy's current quiet period.
He also added: "I'm very happy at Emmerdale. Contract's up in October so I need to decide what's going to happen. I'd love to stay. If they want to write me out and give me an exit, I'd be happy with that. I really trust [Emmerdale's new producer] Iain [MacLeod], he's got some great ideas."
You should make sure to hit play on the video to see Michael reveal a special project of his own that he's working on at the moment.
He also reveals why he's currently trying to get "fat" for a good cause, as he plans to take on a big challenge for charity later in the year.

I hope he stays. Would hate to see him go out this year after not having a lot to do. I think Iain seems happy with him and Michael says he is so hopefully they can work something out. Also any news when Charley Webb is coming back. Wouldn't have thought they would want to write him out before that happens? I could see him taking a short break. I hate that we are back to debating his future once again though. Only seems like yesterday we were doing it
