Coming up on Coronation Street, another new couple could be about to get together as sleazy Pat Phelan makes his move on Eileen Grimshaw.

Phelan (Connor McIntyre) steps up his pursuit of Eileen after she splits from Michael Rodwell next week.

Viewers will see Eileen (Sue Cleaver) dump Michael after she grows infuriated by his apparent 'paranoia' that Phelan is trying to steal her away. However, Eileen is later left stunned when Phelan makes it clear to her that Michael was right all along!

Eileen clearly enjoys Phelan's flattery - so much so that she even refuses to listen when Anna Windass warns that the nasty builder once blackmailed her into having sex with him.

With Eileen fooled when Phelan claims that he actually had a brief affair with Anna, she continues to enjoy the villain's company and they eventually kiss. It's bound to end in tears, but how long will it take Anna to see his true colours?
