    Tim would be a nice Councillor he cares about people and does not have an ego. Love it that he wants to keep up the window cleaning.

    Back in the real world of course, neither of them would. It will be the candidate from a major political party (and, as it's Manchester, it would almost certainly be Labour). Just talking to a few people that you already know in the pub and on one street is just laughable. They need to be out leafletting, knocking on doors and generally getting out and about round the whole ward, not just an infinitesimal part of it.

    Exactly how we had to do it when my husband was standing for election and that was when he was in a safe labour seat! It went on for months and my house was campaign headquarters for three candidates.
