It's brothers at war in Emmerdale next week, as Jai and Nikhil Sharma have an angry punch-up.

The pair come to blows as Nikhil (Rik Makarem) grows increasingly insecure over his relationship with Leyla Harding, fearing that she might prefer to be with Jai instead.

Upcoming episodes will see Nikhil agree to marry Leyla (Roxy Shahidi), after she pops the question while delirious and unwell at the hospital.

The embarrassing moment leaves Leyla mortified once she comes to her senses again, but it later turns out that she has no need to worry when Nikhil excitedly agrees to a wedding!

The couple are clearly getting carried away since they've only been together for a matter of weeks, so their decision doesn't earn much support from their loved ones. Jacob and David are both particularly concerned that Leyla could be making a big mistake.

Things soon become even more complicated when Jai (Chris Bisson) makes a sudden return to the village, revealing that he checked himself into rehab for a while and now wants to concentrate on regaining his family's trust.

Clearly impressed by Jai's positive attitude, Leyla shares a highly-charged moment with him and it seems that she still isn't quite over their past relationship. Oh no, Leyla - just when we thought you were making progress!

When Nikhil later makes plans to go back to Canada for work, he books Leyla a ticket too - but she can see straight through his efforts and knows that it's only because he doesn't trust her around Jai at the moment.

With tensions running high, it's not long before the Sharma brothers end up furiously punching each other - which only piles the pressure on Leyla as she realises that it may be time to make a major decision.
