I just wonder if they havent finally decided
who the father is yet??

Storylines are planned up to a year in advance, so it's definitely been decided one way or another.

The scene where Kush & Stacey could have
had sex - was left for viewer to think either
way.
Behaviour to Martin could mean hes not
and thoughtful looks at Kush could mean
he might be. Some of Staceys remarks could
be interpreted either way or she may be
just worried because of she already has one
child and concernedabout "coping" in general.?

I don't think so, MM. We're being given hints the baby's Kush, especially with Stacey being so secretive about the pregnancy with Martin. The writers could deliberately be laying a false trail though. I still hope that's the case.

One thing Im trying to remember ?? Is I'm
sure there was mention some time ago
of Shabnam reurning to.Pakistan- at least
for a while -but no further mention??

She was going to return to Pakistan after Zaair's funeral, but decided against it when she and Kush reconciled.

I know the story has a lot of soap
cliches but I do think its been well acted
by those playing Stacey.Shab & Kush so
hope finer points of story arent let down
by writing.

Yes, it is well acted and could yet be compelling viewing. It's a shame it's so unoriginal.

I had cause to research this not long ago when a young woman I know was pregnant.

The early ultrasound (called the dating scan) is a very, very accurate - to within 5 days. It's true that as the pregnancy progresses, the babies become more individual and dating the pregnancy becomes less accurate. However, at about 10-12 weeks (when the dating scan is normally performed), it gives a very accurate estimate. So if Stacey attended the scan at the usual point in her pregnancy, the date given is likely to be very close.

I've done some research to try and pinpoint the date we think Stacey possibly slept with Kush (when they spent the evening drinking wine at her flat) and the first time she slept with Martin. The dates are:

Martin: 19th June (episode guide: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05zpsyz)


So that's a whole month apart. Plenty of time for Stacey to know the identity of the father from her menstrual cycle and from the dating scan.



I think that's unlikely since we saw her deliberately hide the second scan from Martin. She's keeping the photos from him for a reason, although that reason could turn out to have nothing to do with the dates.

I was still hoping Stacey would end up being mistaken and the baby would turn out to be Martin's after all, but the above dates make that unlikely - unless she never did sleep with Kush. I hope that's the case and the hints we're being given are red herrings.

Thats very interesting info about the Scans!!
My hairdresser who had a baby last year said
they explained at hospital.how they did the
calculation.
So I knew it was quite precise but not that speciic!

It would be nice and add to tradition if Martin-
a Fowler was the father -but they will probably
go for the more dramatic choice.!

Shabnam Masood tries to get back in Stacey Branning's good books on ​EastEnders​ tonight (November 5), but another drama lies just around the corner.

As Shabnam (Rakhee Thakrar) prepares for her Mehndi ahead of tomorrow's wedding, she reaches out to Stacey to make amends - wanting her to be there despite their argument earlier this week.

Shabnam is relieved when Stacey (Lacey Turner) is also keen to forget their bickering, but as they spend time together, Shabnam is alarmed to realise that her best friend may be hiding a big secret.
