So what are people now expecting from Ross? I am about 90% sure that Ross and Chrissie will get together. The chemistry is off the scale with those 2 and I would love to see Ross living up at home farm.

Well I want more Ross and Moses scenes this year which looking at the spoilers we will get!

More scenes with Kirin. I think we're seeing the start of an interesting friendship between those two.

To me Ross just doesn't seem to fit in to the show very well any more he's a alienated character now he's either at the forefront of every story line generally in crime base madness which have become very tiresome for the majority as well as getting involved in other peoples or has disappeared completely & just goes off missing somewhere there's no middle ground with him I wonder what they can do with him now.

I suppose the fact Mike has won quite a few awards (which I congratulate him for nothing against the actor) with his popularity has sent Emmerdale the message he's wanted around so they're hanging on to him.

This is where, writing is very important. Just because right now we don't see Ross with a lot of connections outside his family. It doesn't mean that they should write off his character. In writing there is character progression. Cain would have been written off years ago if this never existed. Thank god it does!

Loserguy, low-life thug and complete Emmerdale misfit Ross Barton gets yet another year with ITV for being a complete numpty, blagging, dislikeable, unbelievable, unrealistic and crimbo wannabe failure. Emmerdale clearly couldn't get fun and cheeky chappie Danny Dyer to sign up for a part in Emmerdale. Ross Barton has really failed on Emmerdale for the last 6 months or so. Emmerdale really needed to get rid of Ross Barton in August 2015. Had Emmerdale done so then from August 2015 then everyone would have been onto a winner. Now everyone is stuck with this completely dislikeable loser on ITV for at least a year. UK really seems to just suck right now on just about everything from government, EU membership, soaps on TV, etc, etc, etc. Can UK fall any lower? There really must be some level below which it is not possible for UK to sink below?

Did anyone else yawn and say not again when they read this? Because I did.

I blame the writers for this though, Ross needs a mate which I think he is getting in Kirin. I do think that once Ross gets over Debbie and goes back to his old fun ways people who have went off him will like him again. I also want to see more of a back story for Ross, like finding where he was and what he was doing when he ran away from his family.
