In order for a vote via email to be counted, it has to come from a VALID email account.

The website and voting rules are perfectly transparent and clear.
As you come across as being an authority on this NTA voting issue, then please can you explain to us all on soapboards about how you are authorised by and knowledgeable of NTA to stand by your statements and please explain then how someone can claim on Twitter to have voted 50 times already and will not vote even further by him/herself to make even more votes for the same nominee?

I'm not an authority on the NTA voting and I haven't claimed to be. I have read the terms and conditions of the NTA and have no reason to doubt their word.

All voting, by all approved means, will be monitored by PromoVeritas, the independent broadcast verification service. Please note that votes that have been sent but not received or not validated, by the closing date and time will not be counted.
A vote can be sent, but not necessarily validated.

How can someone claim on twitter to have voted 50 times? Um, here's a thought: perhaps they're talking bull****.

No, There are no underhand tactics here. Voting on public opinion polls really needs to be completely transparent. If there is any doubt at all about what the true vote for something is then this needs to be clarified and any doubts successfully explained and cleared away by the vote-collecting authority. People who vote for public opinion polls like the NTA, particularly those voters who spend money by telephone voting, need to be sure that their votes are part of a completely fair and honest poll.

Thank you for your honest reply.

I managed to vote with NTA earlier today with a fictional email address. This is fact. I am really hoping that this vote eventually gets discounted but it should never have been possible to do what I tried. It was just an experiment which I didn't want to work but it did. Sometimes these things need to be tried to show things have flaws and faults. Whoever set up this voting system should have done this already and taken steps to make sure that it wasn't possible to do. It really should not be for someone like me to show something big like the NTA that there is a fundamental problem with how it works for its own awards. I'm sorry, but it seems to me that the NTA really needs to shortly make a public statement about how fair their voting system is.

I think with online sign-ups the problem is that it is automated and the computer is not able to distinguish from first registration to repeated registrations under different names using a different email they can verify

Telly Watcher, you really do not make any sense what so ever. At 15:05 you posted the following:

Mike Parr does what he paid to do. But I still dislike lowlife Ross Barton, however, just as I am completely meant to do, it seems... So does Ross Barton/Mike Parr get my vote? The answer to this is a really big no. Ross Barton is just a completely horrible guy for me, as he is just a total misfit in Emmerdale and will never be a success in life whilst he stays there, as far as I can see anyway.

Surely the fact that you find Ross Barton a low life which he is meant to be proves that Michael Parr is a good actor. Out of everyone on this board, you should be the one admiring Michael Parr. Instead you hate him (the actor)! Even going to the point of blaming him for the attacks in France because his character promotes violence.

The award is for the actor, not the character. I don't know whether your being stubborn on purpose or just don't get this!?
