Yes when the show throws a male and female character in scenes you can see they are trying to maybe pair them together.

It coud be that /or it could be the SWs have a
very low opinion of the intelligence of the average
viewer and how gullible they think we are in what
they can get us to accept- rather than think up
some realistic & interesting stories!

Adam thinks Vanessa and baby Johnny, the son he adores, are moving in with him and Victoria for a while. Instead, Vanessa tells him he's not Johnny's father. Vanessa tells Kirin he's really Johnny's dad and Priya tells Rakesh to tell Kirin the truth, before things get any worse. Rakesh does confess to Kirin, who then turns his back on him. Adam, however, has a much more violent reaction when he finds out what Rakesh did. He punches him and swears he will make him pay. And Priya doesn't get off lightly, either. Vanessa and Kirin can't believe Priya kept the truth from them. And, struggling to defend Rakesh any longer, Priya moves out of their home [Tuesday, 12th Jan]. Adam's revenge could soon give Rakesh something else to worry about...

Cain and Moira have had a falling out over baby Moses... Debbie left Charity and Ross' son with them - but Moira's handed him over to Ross and Cain's furious. Unwisely, we fear, Moira uses Pete's shoulder to cry on and it becomes clear they're attracted to each other in a way that can only lead to heartbreak for Moira, at the very least - and maybe something much more violent for Pete...

Emmerdale airs these scenes on ITV from Thursday, 7th January 2016 to Tuesday 12th January, when Cain warns Pete off.

Poor Pete. He deserves some happiness. Why do the writers keep making him miserable. He deserves a nice lady and please stop trying to break up all the marriages in Emmerdale. You can be married and content. It's not unheard of.

I think Pete should be paired with Vanessa they have chemistry. I hate what the writers are doing to Pete they make him look like a loser while Ross looks like the hero. I really resent the favoritism the writers have for Michael Parr he's gotten more screentime than anybody else on the show. Ross is not even the most interesting character on the show. Aaron and Robert are the most important characters on Emmerdale along with Finn. But making Pete into a depressed loser is the wrong way to go. I want Pete to get STRONGER and I want him to get REVENGE on Ross and Debbie they need to pay for what they did to him. He was totally blindsided that his slapper wife would leave him for his brother. I bet I am the only person who is not cool about this Ross and Debbie relationship I can't stand either of them.
