The "redemption" of Hunter has well & truly started in the Aust episodes, with Hunter already now living with Zac & Leah. His mother is now the town "pariah" after stealing money from him & being sacked from the School for her affair with Matt (& people don't even know about Denny etc yet!). We have seen Leah & Zac tell her to stay away from them all, including Hunter - Leah also says to her "I thought that Hunter had issues, but I can see now that you are the one with problems!". Ouch! He also gets sympathy after his shortlived kidnapping, with people (including Kat, who finds him) suspecting that it had something to do with Charlotte. You would have to think now that even if, one way or the other, it does eventually come out that he started the fire etc (& I hope he does come clean at some stage), that everyone, or most people anyway, will basically forgive him/be understanding.
