I know that some who have lost a partner through either death or just splitting up to go a bit wild with looking for new relationships, probably to deaden the pain of having lost their partner or some do it to feel that they are still attractive to the opposite sex .. or same sex, if they are gay. A lot of the time I can imagine is for companionship rather than romance .. was hoping that would be what they intend for Ken to happen but if Audrey starts feeling smitten and now Nessa I dare say it will be more than that .. shame

Deidre was out of the street for months, and he was left to cope with the family, so in one way, he was already living without her, and as they both had extra marital affairs, it was hardly a "love affair", I'm not a bit surprised he is moving on, he's that type of egotistical man
