I thought it was confirmed that Roxy changes her mind and she and Ronnie end up chasing after Charlie, who has taken Matthew. These mags do like to twist things for the headline.

Maybe they hadn't seen the pictures of Ronnie and Roxy together at the train station at the time of press. They were released a few days later I believe.
