How Was Your Day? VII

I was up til 5am this morning finishing off a blanket I knitted to enter into our state fair. It is HUGE!!!!
We`ve had so many bad winters the past few years I wanted to knit a blanket with thick yarn that holds the heat in from the electric blanket on me and hubbys bed. The border edging alone took 3 balls of yarn!! Fifteen balls total of yarn.
It was so heavy knitting it that Popeye would be envious of my arm muscles now.
*Flexes arms for emphasis*

Popeye sure would be jealous if he saw your arms Very well done for your knitting effort and I hope it wins you a good prize at your state fair

Here it is. I washed it and hung it on my washing line to dry this morning.

My latest creation was 2 years in the making. By the time I designed it, typed out the pattern to print out - it took nearly a week. On average each row took 35 minutes to knit.
I will never knit in that colour blue again - it was really hard to see.

I still have a second lace baby blanket to knit for my neighbour`s twins which are due any day. At least the blankets are much lighter.
