I don't think it's a big issue and they'd be foolish (and cruel) to recast him as he's a good little actor. This is a time where I'm happy to suspend my belief.

Sometimes genetics go back more than one
generation.A young relative of mine is
quite dark-skinned has dark eyes and black
hair. He had a maternal great grand father
of Afro- Caribbean descent. His sister( they have
same motherAND father ) is fair haired fair skinned
and blue eyes. His skin tone has deepened now
he is in his teens and they occasionally get
"remarks" when he and his sister are together
but people who know them - just accept them
without comment!
