I believe in honesty and telling the truth-but there may be exceptions.
Yes, it would have been nicer to see Michael to put things right with his real son, but when Gavin doesn't really want that and with Michael's health problems-maybe it's better to leave it the way it is. What you don't know, doesn't hurt you.
As a storyline-I don't really understand why it was written this way. For me, it would have been enough to watch the real Gavin(which I prefer the actor of Andy)and his dad to bond. All this fake Gavin thing was totally unnecessary..
