Coming up on Coronation Street, Gail McIntyre and Michael Rodwell's wedding day will turn into a disaster following an unexpected revelation.

As Audrey helps a jittery Gail prepare for the big day, impostor Andy Carver is also a bag of nerves after stealing a substantial sum of money from the Bistro.

Episodes airing this week will see the real Gavin Rodwell turn up in Weatherfield, which leads to him manipulating Andy by threatening to reveal the shocking truth to Michael (Les Dennis).

Seeing the opportunity to make some quick cash, Gavin later demands £5,000 from Andy in exchange for his silence. Feeling he has no other choice, Andy steals from the Bistro and stages a mugging in order to cover it up - although he still only manages to come up with £2,500.

With Gavin unhappy after only receiving half of the cash he asked for, he vengefully knocks on Gail's door on the morning of the wedding and introduces himself as Michael's real son.

As Gail reels from the news, Gavin is forced to hand over his passport and driving licence in order to prove that he is definitely the real Gavin Rodwell.

Gavin explains to Gail how Andy staged the mugging in order to buy his silence, and also declares that while he hates his dad for abandoning him, he also believes he should know the truth.

Gail begs Gavin not to reveal his true identity, fully aware that the shock could kill Michael. In response, Gavin tells a horrified Gail that he will keep quiet in return for the £2,500 he didn't receive from Andy.

At the same time, an oblivious Michael and Andy become increasingly anxious as they wait at the registry office for Gail, but will she make it in time? And will she tell Michael the truth?

    Round-up:

On the day of her wedding, Gail gets a nasty surprise as the real Gavin turns up on her doorstep. He proves that Andy is a fake and tells all about the staged robbery and how Andy only managed to raise half of the £5,000 he demanded. Gavin blackmails Gail into coming up with the remaining money in return for his silence. Later, Andy and Steph learn that Gavin has been killed in a car accident, while Michael discovers that his surgery was unsuccessful. Fearful for Michael’s health, Gail tells Andy that he must remain as Gavin. Anna is horrified as Linda invites Owen and the girls to join her in Portugal, hoping to give their family another chance. The girls decline, but when Callum turns nasty towards Katy, she changes her mind. Overhearing Faye and Craig discussing her family’s turmoil, Chesney confronts Katy, telling her that there is no way that she is taking Joseph abroad.
Leanne accidentally blows the electrics at the kebab shop and her flat above, so Kal invites her and Simon to stay with his family. Zeedan makes it clear that they are not welcome and is particularly hostile towards Simon. Feeling low after being fired from the Rovers, Eileen lets scheming Todd persuade her into joining an internet dating site. When Emily expresses doubts over Billy’s church comedy night, Sean wonders if she secretly disapproves of Billy’s sexuality. Julie is gutted to learn that Dev’s uncle has died, meaning that he will be staying in India longer than he initially intended. David worries that he will lose Max for good after receiving a letter from his solicitor suggesting mediation with Callum.

And bringing theses two strands neatly together, I see that Oliver Farnworth (Andy) originally auditioned for the part of Callum.....

I agree, it's not as if they don't know the truth, and it's unforgiveable to to be so decietful, for what ever their reason.

It's the day of Gail and Michael's wedding and Andy is a bag of nerves, feeling guilty about the fake mugging. When Gavin clocks Michael and Andy dressed for the service, Michael proudly explains that his son is his best man. Gavin is scathing and tells Michael that if he were his son, he'd despise Michael and never forgive him.

Awash with guilt, Andy escorts Michael to the registry office. As Gail prepares to leave for her wedding, Gavin knocks on the door and introduces himself as the real Gavin Rodwell! Gail is left stunned.

Meanwhile, as Owen babysits Jake and Joseph, Linda calls round hoping to spend some time with her grandchildren before heading back to Portugal. Anna is jealous, and it seems she has a right to be when Linda confesses to Owen that she has always loved him and deeply regrets her affair. When Linda suggests to Owen that he and the girls should move abroad with her and give their relationship another try, how will Owen react?

Elsewhere, at Julie's request, Leanne tries to fix the deep fat fryer in the kebab shop but only succeeds in fusing the lights.

Also, Eileen refuses to step foot in The Rovers until she's had an apology from Steve and Michelle. Feeling low, Eileen lets Todd persuade her into joining an internet dating site.

Finally, Emily makes it plain that she is not keen on helping Billy with the church's comedy night. Sean secretly wonders if Emily disapproves of Billy's sexuality.

Gail is shocked as Gavin shows her his passport and driving licence, proving that he is the real Gavin Rodwell. Over at the registry office, Michael and Andy become increasingly nervous as they wait for Gail, with an upset Michael convinced that she has changed her mind.

Gavin explains to Gail how Andy staged the mugging to pay him off and buy his silence, but he was £2,500 short. Declaring how much he hates his dad for abandoning him, Gavin threatens to tell Michael the truth. Gail implores him not to, knowing the shock could kill Michael. Gavin tells Gail that he'll keep quiet in return for the £2,500, but will she agree to pay up?

Later, with Gavin gone, Gail races to the registry office. Will she make it to her wedding on time?

Meanwhile, Anna is in turmoil after hearing about Linda's proposal. When Linda comes into the pub to make a further shocking announcement, both Anna and Owen are left reeling.

Elsewhere, with no electricity in the kebab shop or the flat above, Kal insists that Leanne and Simon must stay at Number 6 with him. Zeedan makes it clear they're not welcome.

Also, Todd writes a profile for Eileen, bigging her up and lying about her age. Eileen is impressed and eagerly posts it on the dating site.

Finally, Julie is gutted to learn that Dev's uncle has died and Dev will be staying in India for longer than he first intended.

Gail and Michael are at odds about her late appearance at the registry office. Michael is convinced that she had a case of cold feet, but did the marriage go ahead? And can Gail convince Michael of how much she loves him?

Later, Gavin lays down the law to Steph and Andy, telling them that he wants his £2,500 by close of play tomorrow or he reveals all to Michael. Desperate to protect Michael from the truth, Gail tells Gavin that she'll get him the cash and in return she never wants to see him again.

Meanwhile, Linda takes Izzy and Katy for lunch at the Bistro and suggests they move to Portugal with her. The girls are touched but decline her offer. However, when Katy has a spat with Callum over Max shoving Joseph - in which Callum turns on her and calls her a slapper - Katy has a change of heart. Katy tells Owen that she has decided to take Linda up on her offer and move to Portugal. How will he react?

Elsewhere, Yasmeen and Sharif return to find Leanne and Simon staying at Number 6. Leanne assures them that it'll only be a few nights whilst Tony fixes the wiring in the flat. As the Nazirs tuck into Leanne's casserole, they are interrupted by a call. It turns out that the flat needs a complete rewiring and Leanne won't be able to move back in for at least a week.

Also today, Sean reminds Emily about the church comedy night. Emily is cutting in response, leaving Sean and Billy bemused.

Finally, Eileen looks through the responses to her dating profile and is quite taken by one of her potential love interests, while David berates Callum for keeping Max out longer than promised - but Callum is unfazed and points out that as Max's real dad, he'll do what he likes.

Gail and Andy call at Gavin's flat. Handing him the £2,500, they tell him to stay away from Michael. As they make to leave, Andy reminds Gavin that he must get his heart checked out. Gail then accompanies Michael to hospital for his appointment with the consultant.

Later, as Andy and Steph discuss the Gavin situation, Andy takes a call on his mobile and is clearly shocked by some news. Arriving at the hospital, Andy and Steph break the news to Gail that Gavin is dead!

Meanwhile, as Anna and Izzy prepare for Faye's surprise birthday party, Katy wonders how she is going to break the news to Chesney that she is moving abroad. Under instruction from Anna, Craig leads Faye back to the flat. As they enter, Anna, Gary, Izzy, Katy, Owen, Sally and Tim leap out shouting "surprise". Faye does her best to appear pleased, but the party is a total flop and she eventually does a runner, dragging Craig with her.

Unaware that Chesney is listening, Faye tells Craig that she'd really like to confess everything to Anna, but feels she can't with Katy moving to Portugal and all the upset it is causing. Chesney is stunned and hurries out.

Elsewhere, Sean does his best to drum up interest in Billy's comedy night. As Sean and Billy set off for the event, Billy explains to Sean that as he is still very much the new vicar, he doesn't yet want his congregation to know that he is gay. Will Sean take offence at this?

Also, Todd helps Eileen choose an outfit for her first internet date. Egged on by Julie and Todd, Eileen sets off to meet him.

Finally, Zeedan settles down in front of a DVD and makes it clear that Simon isn't welcome to join him. Leanne tells Zeedan not to take his dislike of her out on Simon.

Airs Friday, Mar 13 2015 at 20:30 GMT on ITV

Andy explains how Gavin was drink-driving, crashed the car and killed himself. Gail is horrified, while Andy is consumed with grief for his old mate. Andy blames himself for Gavin's death, pointing out that if they hadn't given him the cash, he wouldn't have been drunk and driving like a lunatic.

Soon afterwards, a downcast Michael emerges from the consultant's room and breaks the news that his operation was unsuccessful and his only hope now is a transplant. Shaken, Gail tells Andy that for the sake of Michael's health, he must always remain as Gavin. Trapped in another man's life, can Andy keep up the lie?

Meanwhile, Chesney barges his way into Faye's party and confronts Katy, telling her there is no way she is taking Joseph abroad. Katy and Linda try to persuade Chesney that a new life in Portugal is the best thing for Joseph, but Chesney is adamant that he is better off here with his family. Talking to Owen, Chesney is adamant that Katy is only thinking of what's best for her, not for Joseph. Will Owen agree?

Elsewhere, Billy arrives as Sean lays into Emily, calling her a homophobe and a bigot. Emily is shocked and assures Sean that she is neither, but just a traditionalist when it comes to her faith. Realising he misjudged the situation, Sean offers an embarrassed apology. How will Billy react to Sean's actions?

Also, Eileen gets cold feet as she waits for her internet date Adrian. After phoning him, they agree to get to know each other a bit better before meeting up. Todd is secretly pleased.

Also, Zeedan thaws towards Simon, while David despairs when he opens a letter from his solicitor which suggests mediation with Callum.
