Emmerdale's Cain Dingle will continue to stand by his ex-partner Charity next week as she anxiously prepares for her day in court.

Charity's future remains increasingly uncertain as she gets ready to go on trial, having confessed to her part in the Home Farm fire and subsequent insurance scam.

    Cain and Charity in Emmerdale

While a furious Ali is forthcoming in her opinion that Charity should face a lengthy sentence, Cain stands by her and menacingly warning Sam to do the right thing in court.

Sam has been called as a witness for the prosecution, but Cain firmly tells him not to make the any situation worse for Charity when giving evidence.

Continuing to offer his support, Cain later promises a relieved Charity that he will look after her young son Noah if she is sent to prison.

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Friday January 16 on ITV.

How much longer is Chrissie going to blame everyone else for things her son does?

Emma Barton's fury continues on Emmerdale tonight (January 14) as she gives Moira a piece of her mind.

The show's newcomer seeks out Moira (Natalie J Robb) at the farm after hearing her ex-husband James explain the full extent of his betrayal, including how he is Adam's real father.

While Emma (Gillian Kearney) shows some signs of warming towards James again, she isn't prepared to forgive Moira so easily as she blames her for the breakdown of her marriage.

Arriving at Butler's, Emma takes the opportunity to survey Moira's 'perfect' life and seethes with jealousy. As Emma issues a sinister warning, how will Moira react?

100% on Emma's side. Hopefully she'll bring Moira's world tumbling down ! I can't stand Moira anymore-she's so two faced too. She was overly nice again to Charity when Cain said Charity is always Debbie's mom. With all that jealousy she'll end up pushing Cain away.(which is good too ;) )

Emma walked away from her children - real mothers don't do this - why didn't she take them with her. if she blames Moira for the break down even more reason to take the children away from her influence - Emma has a lot to answer for. Emma's problem is totally between her and James - she had problems and now she is able to blame them on Moira. She has never been able to accept responsibility and Moira provides her with a means of continuing her denial. Where is she coming from? Walk out on 3 children because your husband played away once? I don't think so mthere has to be something else. I'm beginning to think James never explained to the boys because he couldn't and probably he still has feelings for Emma as he never knew why she walked out.

Moira has had a really good influence on Cain - they have a genuine love connection - she will always be loyal to Cain even if it means being 'nice' to Charity - that's what loyalty means. On top of this she has a good business brain which Cain appreciates and she has an independent streak which he also appreciates. He is totally aware that she could carry on without him but she really wants him in her life and for him that is something no-one has ever made him feel. They are a very good match and I don't see jealousy - I see a woman who is secure in her relationship and will challenge her partner if he steps over the line.

Like the saying goes: ' Before you've walked in someone else's shoes, don't judge.' That's how we would normally think - that real mothers don't leave their children. But it's not quite that simple is it? Sometimes mothers have no choice-I've heard heartbreaking stories like that. We don't know the full story yet-we don't exactly know what happened. What pushed her to take that step? What was James's part on it? Why didn't he make her stay and get help..who really was to blame. And everyone makes mistakes, there's no parent that's perfect. I couldn't leave my kids, Thank God I have no reason why I would, but I can understand that there's mothers out there who don't live in such comfortable circumstances.
Moira can't be supportive on anyone else but herself. She's always been that way. When Adam was in trouble it was all about him too, and no understanding on Aaron or his mom Chas. Nothing but herself and her little world. She has changed Cain for better, but he's kept on the leash like a dog. Cain is becoming really boring with Moira. It doesn't help that Moira looks like Cain's mum with that hairstyle! ;) There's no spark between them anymore, it's nothing but farming every day. I can see the jealousy towards Charity all the time. Even in hospital when Dingle family came and they were asking Charity about Cain, Moira had to stick her nose in. She's an evil woman. Don't like her anymore(if I've ever have..) I don't know what Cain appreciates, he changes his mind daily and doesn't tell anyone! That's Cain!
